» Appearance Description:
Rikku Shin is not a large woman by any means and is still young she stands at 5`4 and has white and blue streaked hair that has always caused her trouble not to mention the pigments in her eyes make her even stranger as the ires is a faint yellow color while her cornea seem to be a deep grey. She is slender and reminds you of an early high school student.
Rikku's skin is an almost albino white and cool to the touch she has this lost look like something is missing some have even said she looks hollow. Normally she can be found wearing a dark blue mini skirt and a black tube top with a pair of combat boots with the laces open. she has both ears pierced and a birthmark resembling the Gotei 13 on her back.

» Personality: Rikku Shin, how best to describe her personality. I guess one could say that she is detached cold seeming to be missing everything and nothing. shes got this rough jagged exterior but a sharp mind. she spends most of her time alone and only goes out when she has to. she focuses on her studies and video games.
She sees things that aren't there and tends to write about them bringing these stories to give her a way to deal with them. Her mother told her that all her spiritual studies where worthless which has just driven her to hold a great anger towards authority. she does have a kindness to her but few if any have ever seen this side of her.

» History: It seems her father was away but made it back in time for the important events but sometimes he was gone for months other times days but by the time she was 5 he stopped coming home leaving his wife and young daughter to fend for themselves. Her mother started to work odd jobs and used what little her husband had left for them to keep them afloat till she was secure in her finances. This left her daughter alone to deal with the fact her father was gone and not coming home which drove her into a deep depression.

It was during these late and lonely nights that her mother learned what neglect can do to a child. She came home one night to find her daughter standing in the kitchen with a bloody knife and blood dripping from her wrist and a smile on her face. She spent the next year in a mental hospital being treated for severe depression and suicidal tendencies. Here they helped her start to cope with being alone and this is when she started to look into the spiritual world.

Upon being released Rikku had dived into studies of the spiritual world and running and climbing. She managed to become well versed in parkour. The more she studied the more she saw symbols repeating by the age of 12 she had started to keep to herself the other kids calling her a monster or freak. Her mother still insisted she go to school. She didn’t have any friends. Some students were kind but still kept their distance from her. She tried to join clubs but all it did was alienate her and make her feel empty and worthless. It wasn’t until her 14th birthday that she started to notice a black butterfly following her around.

She started trying to catch it or get it to come to her but it merely fluttered away and just stayed near. Three nights after seeing the butterfly for the first time was the first time she saw the spirit world for what it was as she watched a monster devour a kid and all she could do was cower in the corner and pray it did not notice her or come for her. At this point, she did her best to be noticed by others thinking if she could get others to at least be around her she would remain safe.

People started to ask about her birthmark and she did her best to explain what she had gathered it’s meaning something about guardians of the hereafter or something like that she still didn’t get it but she had not seen another monster since that fateful night. She decided at this point that she was safe and it was probably all just a very vivid nightmare.
