The Liberated Flame
Artist: JubyPhonic - Song: WILDFIRE!! (Cover)
Shocking could likely be a small bit of an understatement as to Kimitsuki's reaction to the whole situation; of Hiroi's saliva causing her hand, and soon enough her cheek, to steam. Indeed, it stung a little bit, but Kimitsuki refused to recoil at this small amount of burns. She had endured more than enough burns, self inflicted or otherwise; so she wasn't terribly worried about a small amount. However, it was quite nice to see Hiroi exhibit such a show of emotion; such a show of affection. At the very least, it was a nice sign that Hiroi could exhibit such a great deal of emotion. However, the moment, no matter how brief, and possibly the tiniest bit painful as Hiroi gave Kimi's hand the most loving of nuzzles, was over just as soon as it had started; at least, that's how such a nice moment felt once it was over.
Hiroi seemed to have noticed her predicament when Kimi spoke to her, her fond voice snapping the smaller Danava out of her reprieve; and leaving her to move away from Kimi. In those moments where Hiroi was turned around, Kimitsuki reached a hand out to her; mostly because she wanted to girl to know everything was fine. However, she decided to give Hiroi just a bit of space for the moment; let Hiroi collect her thoughts before moving over and consoling her with a hug. While Kimi waited, the demon gently cleaned off her hand and cheek with a tiny bit of fire and dirt; using her liberation flame to focus on the small burns on her hand. It was nothing bad, Kimitsuki had an advantage over Hiroi in a few departments; but she certainly wasn't injured by Hiroi. Just given a few small scrapes that were easy to take care of.
Soon, sometime after Kimitsuki had sat up while Hiroi was turned away, she heard Hiroi's voice. It seemed more like it was before she started trembling, perhaps the slightest bit brighter? She certainly did sound a bit flustered, at least Kimi figured she was. It was hard to tell just by tone of voice.
"It's fine Hiroi, don't worry about it~ Next time, maybe I couuuld tone down the heat? That could help a little~"
Kimitsuki gave Hiroi a warm smile, even if Hiroi couldn't see the smile, and then the next thing Kimi knew, Hiroi was on top of her again. She wasn't looming over her, with Kimitsuki in a vulnerable position; more like Hiroi had straddled Kimi's legs while she took a look at her face. Of course, Kimitsuki's face was fine. There was a small burn on her face; one she had yet to get to. Hiroi had been giving her hand a bunch of loving nuzzles; so her hand would technically be the worse off of the two spots. As Kimi watched Hiroi inspect her face, looking into those once more brilliantly red eyes, she noticed a few things.
Hiroi, for one, was blushing; actually blushing for once. Faint as it may be, it still was prominent on her face. Perhaps Kimi was right, Hiroi did indeed get a bit flustered; and it was quite adorable to see her blushing so. She even seemed concerned for Kimitsuki, and that color on her face and concern seemed to make Hiroi even more endearing, and charming, than she already was. At least, if Kimitsuki was right about the whole concern thing. Kimi wasn't exactly the best at guessing and reading emotions. However, Kimitsuki did notice how Hiroi was touching her face again; and how she was inspecting the small burn. It truly wasn't much to worry over, and Kimitsuki could easily use her liberation flame to liberate the burn from her skin.
"It's okay, Hiroi~ You didn't do any damage, I promise. See, even my hand's just fine too~"
Kimi smiled at Hiroi, lifting her right hand to show it to Hiroi; not a hint of the burn remained. Indeed, her skin was slightly pink; but even that was slowly fading away. Then, she moved that hand back to Hiroi's cheek; still smiling at the girl. Kimi was still warm, but, not quite to the extent as earlier. She didn't want to be too warm nor too cold; she wanted to make sure it was just right for Hiroi. To keep her warm without causing her to relax to an extent where she accidentally stops controlling certain things correctly.
"Feeling a bit better, Hiroi~?"
