One could say that liquor dulled a person's mind, yet others believe it brings out the truest essence of a person. In the case of Algos? Perhaps the latter could be said as her perceptive heart was sharp even in it's most twisted state. With Vanyel cupping her cheek, there was no other choice but for their eyes to meet. And since a person's eyes are a window into the soul, she could clearly tell the male craved the sisters embrace. Her heart as a woman told her that much.
"You feel safe in my arms despite the monster I am. Isn't that something?"
There was a foul chuckle that emitted from her mouth as the woman kissed the males forehead. It would be adorable if her heart wasn't in such a corrupted, shattered, and broken state. Still, the bloody gaze of the demonic princess could see reality quite for what it was. And it was both a blessing and a curse. Even as she refused to wholly accept it, the truth was impossible to suppress once the sane mind peaks behind the veil of what exists in this world. For this fact is why she tried to open herself despite the stubborn resistance of her own self-loathing, will, and toxicity wanting to keep this precious affection for herself and no one else.
"If you want a woman's heart, you have to tell what she is worth to you. Bonding on the emotional level, holding her in your arms, keeping her safe; a woman wants to feel protected, cherished, and cared for her with her man usually. If you can give her that, even if you are weak physically, the mental safety you can give her will be more than enough."
Drip, drip, drip. More of those bloody tears flowed as she remembered that sense of comfort from Neoveta's previous lovers. The embrace of Iriko's wisdom, the true sincerity of Belle's love, the unjudging acceptance of Calypso's affections; they were all just daggers that ripped apart her soul. Yet, even in all these events, it would be ignorant and downright criminal for her to ignore the knowledge which came from these mishaps. So, to not share them with someone so similar to herself and prone to falling down her path -- was wrong. And to do right for her beloved -- she had to do better. Even if it hurt so much.

A monster, feeling safe in the arms of another monster. It was some kind of horrid irony, wasn't it? His eyes closed as she leaned down, feeling her kiss his forehead. His eyes opened again, a smile slowly spreading across his lips as a voice echoed from the depths of his mind, quietly reverberating across the Seal of Eris and speaking to their dear sister -- the voice of The Phonoi.
Even a monster can have a heart, sister...
The voice went away as quickly as it came, and Vanyel's smile faded as he continued to gaze at Algos, silent as she told him what he needed to do. To tell Calypso what she meant to him, to hold her, cherish her, and simply to show that he cared for her and that he loved her. Even just thinking about it filled his heart with warmth and an ache unlike any other. Though, these emotions were quickly pushed down as he felt even more bloody tears stain his face, his thoughts echoing once more, this time, through the Seal of Eris.
'Thank you, sis, honestly.'
A hand once more reached up to touch and hold her cheek as a stream of tears slid down his own face -- yet another action that he didn't understand the reason behind. But, he made no attempt to hide it -- what would be the point? Vanyel wordlessly moved his free hand, squeezing her hand tightly. Despite everything that had happened, despite how much she had hurt Calypso, there was one thing that became very clear: She was still his sister. She deserved to be treated like one.
"I love you, sis...and I'm sorry."
