Blind to Reason (Elyss/Hannah)

“Yeah. Everything ends horribly, huh? That’s life, isn’t it? First, you get betrayed by the people you thought were family. Then, make one strange decision after another until somehow ending up in an apartment berating someone else so they don’t make similar mistakes? I suppose the best teachers are those that have experienced pain however.”

Elyss, at this point, wore a rather grim yet dramatic expression bordering sarcasm and ill intent. Of course the redhead knows all of that. What the Hell is anyone else supposed to do about it besides either sealing away or Hollow or straight up removing it? It’s her responsibility to get it to listen to her when she goes to deal with it. Though, she doesn’t really care much for Hannah’s words because the blonde is starting to sound a whole lot like Ulv who spouts bad endings after bad endings before suggesting something worthwhile. At least these bad endings aren’t something out of some crappy bdsm novel.

“Thanks for the food.”

Her words came out somewhat bitter. Hannah shouldn’t expect someone who’s as outwardly straightforward and easy to succumb to their emotions to be able to hide their distaste for certain things. The conversation, of course, would cause Elyss to show her more grumpy side. Yet, the redhead did not let it ruin her day because not everyone will know how her life has been up to now, and not everyone will understand her. That’s just life as well, and she’s not going to build a stupid grudge over someone being worried about her.

Sitting down, she sighs and starts picking at her food wondering how it’d taste. Forcing a subject change is for the best to keep this conversation from spiraling for any reason.

“So… You live here all alone? Blind and all? Do you shop alone too and all that?”
