Hunger Strike (Ulv/Elyss)

She shouldn’t be here right now. She’s supposed to be in bed, but she couldn’t ignore the sudden pain in her stomach. Maybe it was because of that one slice she had received during her act of insanity against all those Hollows, but she really wants something to eat right now. Elyss knows Ulv would probably be a bit peeved that she got out of bed, but Elyss just wanted to get up herself and get her own food. Reading and watching the birds fly by is fun and all, but nothing beats moving your body around a bit. Though, she does regret it slightly for the floor feels weird against her slightly numb feet. Damn. She didn’t expect herself to be this out of it. What the Hell is modern medicine good for? Though, maybe that’s just her own soul refusing to heal faster than it should. Ah, whatever. Soon, she won’t need to stay in a damn bed all day. Yeah, she’s a bit mentally wonky but who isn’t these days? She’ll be fine.

“Ugh. Richest woman in this place, and yet, nothing I want to eat in here.”

You’d think the redhead would have an easy time picking something to chow down on, but her mind seems to want to complicate things. Elyss should have learned how to cook. Bwah. She’ll just make some cereal or something. The bandaged up redhead gets all she needs for a nice bowl of Frosted Flakes, and soon, is sitting at the table munching slowly and thinking about things. Well, it’s mostly just remembering the many times she’s been in this kitchen and all the interactions she’s had. She couldn’t help but wonder what everyone is up to: Iori, Ulv, Abigail, Arianda, etc...

Elyss’ immediate reaction to Ulv was to continue eating her Frosted Flakes. As if she’d stop just because the woman randomly appeared being a horrible tease as always. Though, it’s immediately noticeable that Elyss holds little disdain in her posture, eyes, or movements with anything that was said. She simply continued eating until she slurped down the milk in the bowl and wiped at her mouth with her bandaged arm. Now, she finally looks to Ulv and tilts her head at the maid outfit that was barely an outfit. She really hopes Ulv is joking with that.

“Mmm… No. I was hungry. My hand hurts a bit, but it was worth it. To be honest, I should probably just let you heal me, but I don’t know. Getting healed instantly after making such stupid mistakes feel like cheating.”

She goes quiet a bit and looks away before rising from her seat and walks over poking at the outfit. Wow. This is obscenely unfit to be worn unless you’re trying to seduce someone. Leave it to Ulv to casually walk in expecting someone to put it on.

“You know, Iori would look weird in something like this. Probably as much as you would. You two are too tall and muscly. Maybe Abigail or Arianda. Maybe Sylvia.”

Elyss showed as much emotion as Ulv did which was little as she spoke mimicking the woman as she did around Sylvia that one time. That didn’t end well, but Elyss was far from her right mind then. Now, she’s just doing it out of boredom and to pick at Ulv a bit.

Elyss didn’t have much of a response to Ulv’s words. Despite how her wounds are said to not be capable of instantaneous healing, any form of help would rapidly speed up the process. That is a simple fact. Elyss wishing to not accept any form of true outside healing besides normal bandaging and such only slows down things needlessly, but her mentalily simply agrees that she deserves to be forced into such a state: slow and unsteady. Hopefully, she’ll come to appreciate herself more during her time of physical healing. Her mental space needs the breather.

“Abigail is dead? Oh… Well, that’s sad to hear, but that’s also just life I guess… I’m sure Arianda would dress up in a lot of things if asked, especially if I asked. Sylvia… Mmm… Who knows… She probably dislikes us both right now. You should learn to stop being such a monk mother. People would rather have a normal conversation than listen to your evergoing wisdom.”

She smiles lightly feeling her mood drop slightly as both Abigail and Sylvia are mentioned in such ways. She’d rather not get stuck up on such depressing details however and decides to move the conversation along quickly to something a bit more pleasant.

“You know Big Bro? I think I’m gonna do what he does and travel a bit. See the world and I guess go on some weird personal spirit journey to find myself? Maybe I got too caught up in that book…”

“Normal? Well, if you find that maid outfit there normal, I guess… Though, I understand… Most people probably come around seeking advice. They get it, but then they go out and do something foolish or whatever and come back for more advice, and the cycle goes on and on. Sounds annoying…”

Considering how Ulv and her react to each other, Elyss feels that she’s been one to abuse advice given. Though, she didn’t really ask for much of the advice thrown her way. It was mostly just something she needed to hear but didn’t want to hear. Now, she needs that advice more than anything. With a frown, she ignores everything said feeling it unnecessary to question any of it. What would be the point? She’ll probably never see Abigail again, and Takehiko is someone she rarely thinks about.

“Aye. At least I’m still kicking I guess… Hopefully, I won’t end up a failure too.”

She shrugs and goes to put up her bowl into the dishwasher looking a bit down as Ulv spoke about giving her some things help. Oh. Well, that kind of picked her mood up just a bit hearing that Ulv will support her desire to travel around a bit. Elyss figured it’d be good for her to get experience outside of her little bubble. Maybe she’ll learn an important lesson, meet new people who’ll help her, or gain some otherworldly power. Who knows? Elyss knows that more friends comment is a bit… weird. The redhead doesn't know that many people.

“What are you thinking about Ulv? Is this going to be more advice or something?”

Elyss shrugged. “Surprisingly, I never spoke with this Ceal person, but whatever. I guess a lot of people probably do listen, huh?”

She didn’t speak more on the manner as she’s pulled into a hug. That was a bit unexpected, but she didn’t make a move to escape. She didn’t make a move to return it either for a second feeling a bit insecure, but she slowly allowed her arms to wrap around Ulv for a moment.

“Um… Yeah… I’m glad I’m still kicking too. Tordenhunder and a dress? What is that? And, does the dress come in a pants form? Dresses aren’t exactly my thing despite how good I’d look in one, and I’d rather travel in pants than a skirt.”

Hearing Ulv saying she cared beyond simply sexual fascination… Wow… That really has Elyss feeling a bit weird, but it appreciated, really appreciated. Elyss couldn’t help but smile just a bit before attempting to back out of the hug to continue the talk.
