The Hunger's Cry

He stood thoughtful considering what he could do. This was a life and the circumstances of how he got here were irrelevant it was what he did now that determined who he was. If he gave up now on life and simply was reborn his reasons would be void. The actions he took and the feeling of that humanity he clung too. Those would all be erased as he opened his mouth now. He'd learned something important here today. "For a while, I thought because I became this it was a curse and I should hunt those who hurt others. This..birth had been a nagging hunger along with everything." He said admitting his thoughts to the woman. "I see now, the circumstances of my birth or rebirth were irrelevant it's what I chose to do with the gift of life or unlife that determines who I am." He said not claiming to preach or be wise. But talking to her was the first time he could relax.

The first time his hunger didn't dominate his thoughts and mind. He could focus more and connect with someone. There had to be something he could do, someway he could help them. He didn't hold power or a tremendous amount of souls. He was but a being who ate those who did evil. His eyes looked on as he considered the circumstances. "Sorry, that sounded preachy..but thank you, you've given me something. I can grasp onto and avoid my hunger for longer and hold on to my humanity." He said considering what he was before this moment. He wasn't spiritually aware and couldn't do anything but good acts. He saw bits and pieces of his life before this form took over. His conviction kept him here, but this life or unlife. What he did with it determined if he was a sinner or a saint.
