"Permanent, hm? Perhaps, but I think part of that might be disingenuous to my own nature. And, besides, I think the matter of aesthetic would give you priority to be depicted over myself."
Fuuen smiled a little bit at that, not especially saddened by the thought. He knew how his own mind worked, he understood that his thoughts came and went without much care for common sense. Yet, it had begun to seem as though there was some degree of order to it. Part of that almost seemed frightening in its own right.
"I come and go like the wind, and so too do my thoughts. It seems almost strange to me that someone would portray me in such a permanent way. Perhaps it would not be so bad, to have some degree of permanence."
Did he just call her cute? Well, it sounded like he mentioned that her looks are favored over his, so that must mean he called her cute. He’s said something akin to this before, but the way he uses his words catch her off guard at times. She couldn’t help but fold her arms over her chest and turn her head away looking down the river as a light splash caught her attention. Fish moving up and down the stream, huh? They come and go much like the constantly flowing waters. Even if the stream is slow, it’s not that far off from the wind, right? Sometimes things occur too quickly to remember, and other times, life seems to move at a crawl.
“Even if you don’t remember everything, that matters little. You may forget who you are from time to time, but that’s why people like me exist, yeah? To continue reminding you of the important details. Don’t you know? You’re my Sensei. You always will be, so cut it out with all that soppy wind stuff. Even a breeze circles back from time to time. Sometimes it even dies and settles down for a bit.”
She shrugs and bends down poking the water causing ripples to slowly bounce outwards in a circular ring disturbing the still like images in the water. Not everything is permanent, but that doesn’t mean everything is as easily displaced. Elyss may not care about her own presence or who remembers her, but she does know that she must keep her life constant because even if no one remembers her personally, the good she does will always remain.
