Song: Beneath the Mask - Artist: Sapphire

The mage found herself interested and was curious as to what all phones could do beyond what Arianda had told her. From what she said, it seemed like it was similar to how she and her brother connected -- only, it was physically in your hand and could contact others. So, needless to say, it would be good to see if she could contact Katsuhiko again if she ever saw him again, or even other friends she met along the way. As Arianda guided her through the store and showed her the different models and companies that she had to pick from, as well as the extremely large amount of accessories and cases she could pick from, Kitarune picked one out and the demoness brought her to the front to purchase it for her, setting her up with everything she needed as well.

With the most important thing done and out of the way, it was on to shopping, the most anxiety-inducing part of it all. As Arianda showed her to a variety of shopping malls that Minatumi had, Kitarune often made very scarce picks on what she wanted. A couple of nice dresses she saw, hoodies, shirts, pants, skirts, jackets. Sure, there was a lot of variety, but Arianda would be quick to notice how nervous she was, as well as how much interest she had in certain things, but refraining from mentioning anything. By the end, she had enough to only barely make it through a week, if not less.

After clothes, Arianda took her to a variety of other stores to give her the opportunity to pick out decorations for her room. New sheets, blankets, books, shelves, whatever her heart desired. While there were a number of things that she had picked, the total amount was still rather seldom to what she could have gotten. Nevertheless, the two went home, with Kitarune holding onto Arianda almost the entire way. As they entered, Kitarune wasted no time filling her closet and the rest of her room, using a small bit of magic to get any installations completed and books set up. Overall, it was a relatively smooth move-in process that served to make Kitarune more comfortable with her current living situation.

Later that night, Arianda, came by her door, dressed up incredibly nicely, asking her if she wanted to have dinner. Hesitantly agreeing, Kitarune figured she should dress up formally in return. Taking one of the kimonos that she had bought, she quickly changed and opened the door fully, giving Arianda a full view of the formally dressed mage.

Spoiler:

"You, um, look really nice, Mis-- I mean...A-Arianda."

Today had been quite the nice day. Finding Henrex's little sister after all this time; and taking Kita shopping so she had the necessities. Of course, it did take a good chunk of time to do all this shopping, and Arianda could easily tell Kita was being very conservative; not to mention the woman was extremely nervous. Kita never really let go of Ari as they went around town; Ari occasionally picking up a few extra things for Kita's sake. Mostly items she looked at but decided not to take; wanting to make sure she had what she needed. Of course, that likely was met with some light opposition from Kita; but Ari wanted to make absolutely certain that Kita had what she needed.

Of course, after a great deal of shopping, and then likely Kita decorating her room so it was no longer quite as bare; Arianda decided to ask Kita out to dinner far more officially. Indeed, she had offered, but she wanted to make it official; even if now the offer was a bit more of a date now than simply just an offer to go eat some food. Show up to Kita's door she did, asked her to dinner, and then waited patiently for Kita. The door soon opened and Ari's eyes beheld the woman before her; her breath and voice taken away in that instant as she heard Kita compliment her. Her words did not work for a few moments before she blushed and smiled warmly at Kita; her voice recovering finally after she had taken in how breathtaking Kita truly was.

"Y-You look beautiful, Kita~ And thank you... I hope it's not too much; I've never really dressed up for something like this. I can't say I know exactly how to dress for something like this; but I'm glad you like it~"
Spoiler:

She smiled warmly at Kita, walking to the door with Kita before she extended her hand towards the woman once more; smiling warmly as she held her hand open palm for Kita to take. She gave her another warm smile before Kita either took her hand or not; and then Arianda lead Kita outside the house. Then, Arianda lead the girl to where she was taking Kita out to eat; a rather fancy Japanese restaurant that was in Minatumi. Apparently, it was to be quite authentic to actual food from Japan; albeit, it may not reflect what Kita may have eaten back when she was alive and lived in Japan. Arianda got them a table quite easily, thanking the person who seated them and plucked a reserved sign from the table they were at. It was in a nice place, and their table was in an area where Kita and Ari could enjoy themselves without prying eyes.

"I hope this is okay, Kita. I figured it would be nice to have a taste of home after all these years~"

Arianda gave Kita that warm smile, a smile that showed how much Ari really meant what she said. The demon simply just hoped that Kita would enjoy the food. After all, Ari mostly had what Henrex treated her to; and not something like this. Regardless of that, she wanted Kita to enjoy herself; much like Ari wanted to enjoy her time with Kita. She just truly and positively hoped that this dinner date would go extremely well. After all, Arianda had the hugest crush on Kita that she ever had on any single being.

It was nice to have a proper, full meal after so long in the Rukongai, as well as so long being in the Wastelands and looking for Henrex. Now, it seemed like everything was changing for the better. As Arianda led her through Minatumi, Kitarune couldn't take her eyes off the demon, or the hand that held her own. The whole day had been something else, and this was just the cherry on top. As the two walked into the restaurant, Kitarune took a moment to look around, only seeing now just how out of place she looked, compared to not only the other patrons but compared to Arianda too.

She was quickly overwhelmed by the feeling of awkwardness, gripping Arianda's hand tighter as she stuck close to the demoness while they continued to the back of the restaurant where, thankfully, they were alone. Pulling out her chair and sitting down, Kitarune found herself staring at the table, rather than at Arianda, her hands fidgeting in her lap as she waited for the waiter to come by for their drinks. Kitarune, out of pure instinct -- and panic -- switched from English to Japanese, blurting out the words for "green tea" so fast that the waiter had to do a double-take.

The mage immediately covered her mouth, her face turning red as she hid her face in her kimono, before quietly mumbling out the request again, this time in English. As the waiter took Arianda's drink order and left, Kitarune slowly peeked out from the kimono, taking a look at the menu that the waiter had left for them. Even just one look was enough for Kitarune to realize what kind of restaurant they were in, with Arianda's words only further cementing it in. Her eyes welled up with tears as she covered her mouth.

Words couldn't even begin to describe how happy she was. Kitarune lowered her head, stifling sobs before she openly cried from happiness. All of what had happened was so amazing, and this was the cherry on top: a Japanese restaurant for dinner. A taste of home that Kitarune had wanted for so, so long -- and now, she truly felt like she was somewhere she belonged. She felt like she was home once again.

Everything seemed to be going quite well so far. Arianda and Kita got through town without any problems, they were able to get a table with ease, and Ari was unable to keep her eyes off Kita. So what if Kita may be a little out of place due to what she was wearing? Arianda thought she looked beautiful. However, the woman seemed excessively nervous. It was very likely that, even though Kita didn't know what a date was, she possibly got a hint of what this dinner was; something more than just an apology dinner. However, Arianda soon found herself smiling warmly at Kita's shyness. She was absolutely adorable; and the demon could not help but look at the woman.

Kita ordered her drink soon enough, albeit she seemed to panic and say something in Japanese before recovering and asking for Green Tea. Arianda thought about it for a few moments before shrugging and asking for the same; along with some water on the side. Afterwards, Arianda picked up her own menu; keeping an eye on Kita. However, what she saw, and heard, surprised the demon so thoroughly she could only sit and watch for a few moments.

Kita was crying.

Arianda had thought she had somehow done something wrong, that she had somehow fucked things up without even meaning to; but then she saw the expression on her face and noticed it was not out of sorrow. Kita was absolutely overjoyed at this outcome, and that emotion was bursting forth like so. Arianda let out a small giggle as she slowly stood from her seat and moved towards Kita slowly; putting a hand on the woman's shoulder before that hand slid around her shoulders gently. Then, Arianda soon pulled Kita into such a warm, loving, hug; as long as Kita would allow it of course. So, the demon hugged Kita nice and close; giving her a great deal of comfort as her arms wrapped all the way around the woman and smiled warmly.

The odd thing was, there were no words to share; the demon simply just hugged the woman and comforted her physically. She made sure Kita knew she was right there, that she would comfort her, and that she was extremely happy Kita was happy in this moment. As the demon continued to hug Kita, she simply gently nuzzled against her; making sure she was okay. Besides, even if Kita was crying at the start of their date; how happy she was is probably the best start they could have obtained in this moment. All Arianda wanted from here on was for their dinner to go exceptionally well; and possibly some after dinner cuddles. It was likely too soon for a kiss; but Ari greatly wishes that she and Kita could have a very good first date. Even if Kita had no idea what a date was.

Despite the feeling of eyes on her, something that was quickly making her uneasy, things honestly couldn't have been better. She had a home, her brother, and a nice dinner to top it all off. Her crying eventually came to a stop as Arianda made her way over, embracing the mage warmly, with Kitarune returning the hug. As Arianda returned to her seat, Kitarune wiped her eyes, adjusting herself in her seat and straightening her kimono. She took occasional, small sips from her drink, remaining quiet for much of the downtime between the order for their food and it actually arriving.

As the food arrived, it was yet another round of silence before Kitarune set down her chopsticks, staring at the table for a bit before looking up at Arianda.

"So...how has Yuuto been these last few years? How did you two even meet?"

Kitarune only took her eyes off Arianda briefly, picking up her chopsticks as she took another bite of her food and another sip of her drink. It still felt unreal that he had been active in the world, yet she had been stuck in the Rukongai for so long, scared and alone for some time before she was picked up by Katsuhiko. She was curious to hear about how he'd been in the last few years, and if he had coped any better than she had from the loss of not only her life but also the life of their family and the destruction of their home.

Above all, she just wanted to feel in the loop again. She was a woman from a completely different era, trying to fit in almost six-hundred years later. It wasn't an easy process, but, she had to give it time.

Arianda was glad that Kita was getting better, and she even shot looks at people who looked at her weirdly. She would not have it. Even if Arianda wasn't scary, even if the demon was only classified as dumb or adorable; she would always protect this woman. She would always protect Kita. The demon smiled at Kita after returning to her seat; regarding her warmly with her silver eyes. Soon, however, her attention was torn away when they ordered. Soon enough, their food was taken to them and there was a large amount of silence as they ate. Not to mention, Ari seemed to be qutie adept with Chopsticks. She certainly had troubles, but, she wasn't using a fork. Clearly, she had a bit of help from Henrex practicing how to use chopsticks; at least in the past. Soon, however, Arianda was asked a question.

The demon looked up at Kita, swallowing what food she had in her mouth and set her own chopsticks down; smiling at Kita warmly. However, the question caused her smile to falter so little it was almost unnoticeable. She kept up her smile, but, there was a tiny bit of sadness in her eyes despite that as the demon looked down towards her food. But, she soon looked back up at Kita, smiling warmly; the sadness that had perforated such beautiful silver eyes was gone.

"He's doing alright... had some bad brushes with love; the last one left him a little... haggard. But, he has a daughter and seems to be doing much better."

Arianda took a bite of food and considered Kita's first question; giggling under her breath as she thought about it. It was honestly kinda funny how she and Henrex met; at least a little. In truth, it was not intended; it was literally because a mutual friend basically threw him at Ari.

"Well, he and I met due to a friend of ours; at the time, he was having problems with his demonic side. I helped him out, kept his demonic powers from overwhelming him; taught him how to control them too. From there, he returned the favor and taught me some stuff too; after that, well... We just kinda got closer and closer. He's a real good friend, and may be the closest thing to a brother I ever had~"

Arianda let out a small giggle again and then smiled at Kita, gently stretching her hand across the table and interlaced her fingers with Kita's free hand. She smiled at her warmly. It wasn't a pressuring gaze, just a warm one; a smile that assured Kita that everything would be fine.

"Also, I'm really glad you like this place~ I'm also really, really glad you and Henrex were reunited~ He's been wondering what happened to you; but I made sure he never gave up on seeing his little sister again. And I'm glad I could make you happy~"

Arianda was just so happy... She had found Henrex's sister, and the demon had even found her to be someone she had a deep love for; or at least one hell of a crush. Either way, she had fallen for the woman hard; and she only wished to have such feelings returned. At least in time. And, Arianda truly honestly hoped this night would be positively excellent.

The topic of her brother and what he had been doing the last few years seemed to have upset her. Seeing the bubbly, happy demon suddenly lose her smile and look so sad sent a chill up her spine, her body freezing in place as she watched her. But, just as suddenly, her smile came back and the life returned to her eyes. It was unnerving, her seeming to disassociate and then pop right back to reality. Very slowly reaching to take a drink, she looked at Arianda, concerned as she spoke, but soon realized why she looked so sad.

However, her sadness quickly turned to shock as she fully processed everything that Arianda had said. Yuuto had... a daughter?

"He...what?"

Despite the emphasis, she sounded more shocked than angry. He had bad brushes with romance and love, yet he had a daughter? But, before she could ask about that, Arianda explained how she met Yuuto, through pure happenstance of a mutual friend quite literally hurling him at her. The brief synopsis of her teaching him to control his demonic half and the bond they formed after that had made her speechless. She didn't know what to say, only blinking when Arianda continued, causing her to snap back to reality.

She gave a small nod, smiling softly as she briefly turned her attention back to her food, resuming eating. There wasn't any real need to speak at the moment. Arianda understood that she made her happy, both in treating her so well and bringing the mage to her brother. Above all, this silence was something that both of them could enjoy, a quiet moment for them to process everything, and to absorb the emotion that they felt.

Arianda didn't really mean to get visibly sad in front of Kita. Simply, she couldn't help it. The whole deal with Henrex's love life hurt her heart a bit; but what hurt Ari's heart more was thinking of the disappearance of her own sister. The one who Henrex had started to go out with before her disappearance. Frankly, it hurt Ari probably as much as it had hurt Henrex; but this wasn't the time to be sad. No, she was actually quite joyous because of Kita; because she had a beautiful woman to go to dinner with. Not to mention, she just had someone who she absolutely loved to be around; even if their relationship was only starting to bloom.

However, the demon soon let out a giggle as Kita made a remark about Henrex having a daughter. She then broke out into jovial laughter for a few moments before she nodded and smiled warmly; her mood was quite difficult to ruin, it seemed.

"Hehe~ Yeah, he has a daughter. She's adopted though; so he didn't have those kind of brushes with love. But yes, Henny has a daughter~"

Arianda smiled at Kita, letting the woman take in all she asked as Ari too continued to eat in silence; enjoying her food quite a great deal. Of course, as was part of her habit, her food didn't last horribly long. She simply ate quickly, but, she still looked like she wasn't some sort of beast; but her food was gone quite quickly after the demon had finished speaking. Soon, Arianda would wait for Kita to finish eating; processing all the things she had heard and taking in how Kita looked; a beauty that made Ari smile softly as she watched the woman eat.

After a good chunk of time, when both women were likely done with their food, Arianda waved over a waiter, paid for their meal, and then made sure Kita got what she needed; like if she wanted a box to take her food home or something like the sort. However, after both her and Kita were all done; the demon would stand up with Kita, take her hand if she didn't mind, and then return home with Kita. She felt their dinner was excellent; and hoped that she at least could be able to hug Kita now. Some part of her wanted to kiss the woman, but, a lot of her knew that Kita would need time more than anything. But, the demon was so happy this night.

"I really hope you had a nice time tonight, Kita~ And I'm so glad I could make you so happy~ Wanna go home~?"

Kitarune was still pretty baffled that her brother had a daughter in the time that she had been gone -- adopted, yes, but they were still family, regardless. She made a quick mental note to seek out his daughter and get to know her. A smile came to her face at the thought, seeing what his adopted daughter was like and how Yuuto had done in teaching her, raising her, and overall, how well he was caring for her.

The night continued on, and the two eventually finished their meal, having some small talk in between, discussing some of the events that had happened with her brother and with Arianda and her life as time passed. This night, the first real, casual night of relaxation she'd had in a long, long time, had gone so well and, to her, was absolutely magical. The two went to leave, and as the demoness went to take her hand, at first, Kitarune was hesitant. But, after a brief moment of deliberation, she let the demon hold her hand as she was guided out of the restaurant, using her free hand to dust off any crumbs or anything else that would have managed to get on her kimono.

She let out a soft, yet satisfied sigh as the two stepped out into the open night air. The mage giggled quietly as she leaned against Arianda, giving a gentle nod in response.

"Mhm, I'm ready to go home."

It felt so strange to call that mansion her home. For decades, she didn't even have a place she could call home aside from the insides of her jacket, wrapped around her during cold nights in the Wastelands. Now, she had a warm bed to sleep in and companionship in Arianda if she needed it. She had food, water, and her brother was close by. The thought of a warm bed, however, was the biggest thing on her mind as she yawned.

"I'm pretty tired right now, too...I could use some sleep."

Song: Funkyard - By: Arrowhead & Zentra - Word Count: N/A

Tonight was, indeed, quite magical; a night Arianda could only have thought of or dreamed of in a time before now. However, it was happening right before her eyes, with a lovely beautiful woman like Kita. However, she smiled warmly at Kita while she took her hand; leading the two of them home, the demon hummed softly grinning a little to herself as she walked home with Kita. It was an easy walk, and likely a short one; one that didn't exactly have many eyes to look upon the pair walking back to the same house. There was honestly nothing to assume, nothing to guess, and nothing much to worry about. Especially because the demon known as Arianda was on her best behavior just for Kita. She wanted to ease her into all of this; as she was new to a great deal of it. But, Ari was most of all worried about not scaring Kita; so she was being quite gentle with what she was doing.

After the walk home, Arianda had closed the door behind them and started to walk upstairs; towards where their rooms were. However, at the top of the stairs she stopped; looking towards Kita. She felt apprehensive; as if what she was about to ask was going to cause some issues.

"I-I know it may be a bit early for, well, a lot of things; but, I was thinking... Maybe we could cuddle...? That's not too bad, right? If you don't want to yet, that's okay, but, I just thought... ya know~"

Arianda's smile was a little sheepish, and how nervous she was just from asking such a thing may be a bit too clear; but she couldn't help it. Her stomach was filled with butterflies; she desperately wanted things to go well between her and Kita. However, she didn't want to go overboard and screw things up that way. Regardless, the demon gave Kita a warm smile no matter her answer; yes or no, she would still give her a warm smile. For the offer was there; and she saw no need to push the subject further if Kita refused.

Eventually, Arianda would likely have guided Kita to the door of her room; smiling at her and giving her hand a gentle squeeze. She would love to do more, but, that pace was likely too fast for Kita; which was alright. Not to mention, Kita really did look quite tired. She probably hadn't slept for real in years; a good sleep would be great most likely.

"I'm sure we both could use some sleep... I can cook for you in the morning, maybe~? Sleep well, Kita; you know where my room is if you need me~ Niiight~"

A warm Ari smile, another gentle squeeze of the hand, and maybe a hug if Kita allowed it; and then the demon turned away after releasing Kita's hand. She walked to her room, looked back and smiled warmly; wishing her good night once more before the demon disappeared behind the door to her own room. Which is where Arianda's dress poofed into nonexistence, which meant it was now in the wash, and then the demon was now in a fresh pair of pajamas; yawning softly as she flopped onto her bed face first. She hummed softly, simply lying there as she reflected upon the night's events. She only hoped, prayed, that Kita had such a good time, and that she liked Ari like Ari liked Kita; there could be another date. Maybe even many many more.
