Nocturnal

Ikiya has a complete lifestyle at night. She does her work more effectively around that time. Her laziness during the day is because she doesn’t get much sleep. She does have a habit for oversleeping and missing out on her duties, during the day. She’s always attempting to improve, while everyone else is asleep. Most of her times at night, are spent stealing from different places around soul society, in order to enhance her equipment. She’s lively and focus and the sun doesn’t bother her that much, because there is no sun to speak about. Her eyes doesn’t have to feel like they are bleeding half the time, due to the harsh sunlight.

Picky

Ikiya can never decide on things. It's a curse of hers, ever since birth. Ikiya is picky about her fashion choices, the things she eat, what type of people she’s attracted to. There’s always something that has to meet her criteria. It can be hard for her to find and decide what she wants. It takes her almost hours for Ikiya to go ahead and pick what she wants. She has a specific taste in things and wants to be different from the rest. Ikiya doesn’t want to have what people have and tends to go beyond in getting something that hardly a fraction of the people that have it. Rare products, maybe a type of recipe you only find at a specific store. Possibly a man who fell from the sky and has the heart of a lion. Those types of things she decides upon.

Irritable

Ikiya is the one person who can be easily annoyed by the slightest of things. She’s annoyed by comments that make her stomach twist and her face sour. She gets annoyed by people who talk too much. She’s also annoyed by even the nicest people on earth. Such individuals who are nice no matter what, makes her brain jog in place. People who “Aww”a lot drives her nuts. Ikiya can’t stand people who treats life like everything about them is miserable. She has issues with people who openly talk about their tragic stories. There is a long list of things that annoyed her.

Chivalrous

Ikiya can be seen as an ideal knight in a modern day era. She respects her seniors and those that bother to teach her, despite being annoyed by everything. Her manners are unique, as if she was raised by a noble family of the 20th century. Her acts of courtesy can only go so far. She doesn’t display her kind manners towards people who condone in crimes, even though she steals. She doesn’t see it as a crime and sees it as a way to complete her work and survive. At least until she visits the human world for the first time. She doesn’t tolerate bad manners and especially doesn’t tolerate people who underestimates women. Ikiya doesn’t fight the same gender, as she feels like it's the same as a man fighting a woman. She lives up the image of a knight, though her version of a knight is the ones where at the time. Women couldn’t be knights.




Ikiya didn’t start out getting herself well acquainted in soul society. She didn’t have anywhere to turn to and was forced to survive on her own. However, this lifestyle would all change. She started to learn how to build things, such as gadgets. Ikiya knew this trick, because she saw a boy his age do it. She didn’t know that she was able to grasp the complicated process in building things, with little material. Ikiya and the boy started to form a friendship, because they both share a passion for creating things. The two would make various tools that were made for the other kids. They were made for them so that the kids can have fun. The boy returned to his parents afterwards, once he had taught her some of the basics on how to live a decent life.


Ikiya having been dead ever since the attack in the forest, in an attempt to save her father and the saint from a tragic event. She would evidently find herself reborn in a place, known to her as sole society. The only lingering memories that she held was the stories her mother would teach her. Ikiya had to relive her life as a shinigami, with little to no idea about the status of her father. Ikiya lived her life, just like she did when she was alive. She spent her time tinkering with gadgets and other things she was scangering around, to pass the time by. While toying with gadgets, she realized her talents in enhancing the effects of technology. Ikiya began to build and create things, that attracted the attention of the residents in the Sakahone district of rukongai.

Ikiya was praised for her talent in crafting things and was told that the research and development. Being worshipped there, she began to form a bond with her newfound friends in Sakahone. However, as she made new friends. She also made new enemies. Ikiya met with a group of thugs, who was harassing a group of kids. Having been jealous of the reputation she built for herself over a short period of time. They wanted to tarnish her image and raided the families nearby. Causing unsettlement between the people she found happiness in. Ikiya wasn’t confident in her abilities outside of tampering with and making gadgets and technology. There wasn’t a single thing she created, that would protect herself and her friends. They were creations, used to bring fun in people’s lives.

Ikiya faced the beatings, until a fateful encounter occurred. Ikiya was saved by a member of the Shiba clan. They were both the same age at the time. She’d be able to find her hidden potential, by attending the Shin-o Academy where she and the Shiba would grow up together and go to the same Academy. Ikiya attempted to pass the entrance exam, before she can become an actual student. Ikiya performed well enough that she wouldn’t have to do it again. It didn’t feel like she put forth the effort in the exam and everyone thought that she was lazy.

However, in truth. She didn’t have too much skills and her hidden potential didn’t bloom until the last part of the exam. Luck played a crucial part at the time. She felt like she wasted too much energy to please others and didn’t have the meaning to want to be put on the spot light. Ikiya’s reputation as an intelligent technological genius had perceived her. She wasn’t sure what she wanted to do, after graduation. The shiba suggested that she should join the research and development team and continue to grow that talent of hers. Ikiya didn’t feel positive that she will keep harassing her talent to good use. She only saw it as a hobby and not a career. Ikiya held plenty of time, as she kept the thought in the back of her mind.

She started to focus more on her practice. It was clear that Ikiya was more than capable of being efficient in Kido and Zanjutsu, but was too afraid to fight with her fists. She wanted to keep her fists from hurting people and more into building things. She believed that if she focused herself on using her hands for violence, the quality in her ability to make things will diminish. Ikiya made an exception with swordsmanship. Through the time Ikiya spent in the academy, she made puppets in secret. Ikiya wanted to make one that would mimic most of her qualities in emergency situations. Her prototypes would be kept in her storage, until she can get her hands on a few capsules that were in the building located inside the research and development office. She used some of her reiatsu to create such puppets, mainly to be used for scouting out places. After sometime at the academy, she graduated and now in the middle of her internship to the first division, as Ikiya’s shiba friend went to the seventh.





Gadget Prodigy: Ikiya molded her experience in creating different tools before joining the Academy. So far she can make minor inventions, such as support items. She hasn’t gotten into the destructive department yet.

Puppet Making: Ikiya taught herself how to make puppets by using her own reiatsu, while also going out one night to steal a few materials so that her puppets won’t be as weak and fragile. They are meant to be used during scouting missions, when she doesn’t feel like going out. She hasn’t developed the puppets that can be seen to trick her associates, so sometimes she is forced to go out once they realized it’s a fake.



Hoho: Ikiya hasn’t been focusing on hoho, it's one of the subjects she’s weak at. It's the least known subject that she almost failed.
Kido: Ikiya has become more attuned with the usage of kido and the one subject she is the most efficient in. She practices using her energy to make her puppets, while at the same time. Gathering material across soul society, in order to enhance their usefulness. However, she hasn’t mastered the arts yet. Her tricks aren’t first class, but it's enough that gets people talking about her talent. She keeps a notebook of chants she comes up with, whenever she’s training. She has a habit for making incantations more than five lines. She did well during the written tests and has no problem executing her spells. The problem she has, is keeping a clear mind. Her irritable behavior towards people and her surroundings, can cause her focus to go out of shape.

Spirit Blade: The first spell she learned was the ability to shape her own energy into a weapon that can pierce through soft objects, like a pillow. If she were to train her spirit blade, she could even strengthen it to the point where it could even pierce flesh.

Bakudo:
Like kido, she doesn’t find herself having a hard time creating things other than the process of focusing and molding her energy to the point that she can ward off weak attacks. Her barriers are fragile and takes little more than a simple tap of the finger to break it. She does wish to hone her skills so that she can be useful in all the other fields.

Zanjutsu: The subject where she’s the most creative in and the second most time she puts forth the effort in mastering it. She’s been training her swordsmanship skills since graduation. Ikiya is creative in her strikes, mixing up with softer strikes, akin to a stroke of a paintbrush. To aggressive, like an angry thrust that pierces the air in order to create concentrated air into an attack. Ikiya isn’t of the top level as other shinigamis. Her form needs work and her grip is too soft. She doesn’t put much use in defense and her hands are considered delicate to her. She avoids trying to damage her hands, as it means that she won’t be able to create her greatest inventions. She had positive feedback about her skills, but the thing she lacks the most is patience as she’s quick to strike at any given moment. Ikiya doesn’t allow herself to wait and know patience. Allowing basic tricks, like clones trick her.

Hakuda: Ikiya doesn’t use hakuda that much, as she prefers to keep her hands busy with tools rather than wasting her time putting the works on her sparring partners. The only thing she knows how to do, is through a basic punch.
