In The Wake of Ruin

In the Wake of Ruin [Koga/Suigan] RNDqpg8

Amidst the wreckage of the Rukongai there resided a certain level of calm, Shinigami were present in plenty of numbers to help quell the remaining hollows that remained. Along with them was another man brandishing his own Zanpakuto, though not wearing the uniform of a Shinigami. Nonetheless, he too was cutting down hollows that threatened those within the Rukongai too weak to protect themselves.

Having been mostly turned away at the gates for understandable reasons, Suigan had little choice but to return to the Rukongai in search and hopes for answers. He had wished to speak with the Captain's of the Fifth and Sixth, having been told they were in charge of rounding up and dealing with any lingering traitors. Sadly such individuals weren't exactly easily contactable by one outside of the Gotei, let alone one likely long since forgotten if any records even remained of his time within it. Unfortunately most Shinigami he came across, while not outwardly hostile towards him, either had little information of value or wouldn't give up such information.

Both were understandable given his position, still it did little to quell the anger he felt towards several different entities. Himself, the Gotei 13, this Gotei United, the Arrancarrs and Hollows that invaded. But without more information there was little he could do to figure out where the blame for this atrocity to the Soul Society lied. That being said whilst out in the Rukongai he didn't hide his presence any longer, he made it easy to detect his Spiritual Pressure in hopes of luring in both hollows and potential Shinigami that might wonder who was giving off such Pressure.

HABAKI KOGA | STRAY DOG

"Huh... so that's where all that fuckin' spiritual pressure is emanatin' from..."

For better or worse, Koga was a curious bastard. If something of interest rose out of nowhere, the man would pursue it and find what lay at its source. There were plenty of Shinigami who were working hard to kill the hollow that remained behind in the aftermath, but none of them stood out as much as the one with white hair and spiritual pressure that stood out like a sore thumb. He wasn't super familiar with every soul reaper, to be certain, but this guy looked different, older... experienced. Any number of those things. Approaching the man with a grin, he tapped his zanpakuto at his hip. Let's see what type of man he was...

"Yo. Haven't seen your face around here before. Ya got a name?"

Suigan's blade swung swiftly towards the one who spoke up, though there was enough distance between them that there was no immediate danger from his action. Suigan didn't speak at first, his eyes locking onto the other male for a brief moment before his blade lowered and was returned to its sheath "You're too young to have ever seen or known me." He said plainly after taking the boys measure, though continued shortly after "My name is Suigan Sato, and based on your garb you are a Shinigami from the Gotei United, Eighth Divison if I am not mistaken from your insignia. Unfortunate, I was hoping for the Fifth or Sixth to show up."

Not that he was trying to throw shade at Koga or anything like that, it was just sadly not the person he was looking for in the immediacy. That, however, did not mean he wasn't of value, for all had their value in one way or another even if that value was exceedingly small. But the value of this Shinigami was still an unknown, perhaps he had a larger value that his outward appearance showed, there was only one way for Suigan to find out.

"What of your name?"
