The Shihoin Shadow
Yahiko Shihoin
Was it a lack of confidence in his mother's style? He didn't consider for a moment that was it. The way the Shihouin fought was free-form combat. He considered everything for several moments. His skills were sharp and well maintained from underground fighting. He just needed to have confidence in himself in that regard. It wasn't like he couldn't do that much. Yahiko rubbed at his chin seeming to think. He spoke finally as he acknowledged she was right. "You've given me a lot to think about." It wasn't a doubt of himself but one linked to his mother. He held resentment for her to some extent. But that wasn't fair to the fallen either he accepted. This was his style of combat and it would grow from here. He'd evolve it and transform it with his technique. He didn't explain much to her about Shunko. But he got the sense she saw through it. And was able to do much more than most. Using it here felt wrong to him too. It wasn't something they used casually when fighting.
Well some of them did he guessed, his mother had. Offering a bow the dark-skinned male walked away. Heading towards a practice arena for a bit more training. Yahiko paused knowing he had some paperwork and samples to collect. Things for the Division he'd been seated in. It was a tiresome endeavor to do. But someone had to do it. And his Vice-Captain wasn't interested in that task. She was very busy he got the sense when he saw her. Always off doing something or another on her own. His frame paused as he looked out towards the flag pole. An incident happened here or something. He'd heard rumors circulating the schoolyard. Small whispers but nothing concrete as of yet. He got the sense something was coming. Something to do with his family and another maybe. The Noble's were in disarray at the moment. It left him pondering what this landscape was. What he was returning to in this Soul Society. It was different from the one he knew. Yahiko inhaled and walked off thankful for the input of Ulv and her wisdom.
