The Sharpshooter's Final Achievement? Bankai Training. [Chisei and Daigoro]

Chisei watched, wide eyed, as Daigoro sliced through his charged shot. He stood slowly, his arms and legs shaking from the amount of his reiatsu he was using up.

Chisei grimaced, watching as Dai appeared in front of him and aimed a strike for his chin. "No." He managed to spit out weakly, barely turning his body away in time. He grimaced, jumping back a few times to gain distance. He shuddered, he wasn't even able to lift his arms.. was this it? Was this really ALL he had? He had spent YEARS training for this day, and yet here he was, and he was choking. He flashed back. He remembered the day he had gained shikai. He also remembered the long period of time he had spent fighting arrancar with it during the recent wars. He grimaced, falling to one knee as the effects on his body started to show, his shinigami robes falling to pieces at the top, his hakama staying on, but his top now utterly shredded.

"Come ON," He thought, "I'm at my limit here.. Please.. Surudoi Ite." He grimaced, standing up and flicking his blade out at arm's length. "Please.. help me." With that, he focused the remainder of reiatsu and all his concentration into his blade. "Please.. come and help me.. I have never asked anything of you..." His eyes were closing.. his body was about to give out.. he could feel the black of unconsciousness coming.. he almost welcomed it.. peace..




Chisei opened his eyes suddenly, charged with a newfound energy. His reiatsu suddenly skyrocketing and exploding, swirling around him in a torrent of energy that crackled as if it was a thunderstorm. He felt.. amazing.. newly born. He felt as if there was never any damage done to him at all. He laughed, this felt.. unbelievable. What was this strength...? As if to answer his question, a deep voice rang out in his mind. "I hear you needed help." Chisei gasped, that was...

Suddenly, his light-blue reiatsu started swirling around him, creating a vortex of energy. The vortex grew bigger and bigger before flowing into him and highlighting his entire body in a blue glow. The glow finally faded, the entirety of it concentrating in his arm before shooting out of his blade and stopping nearby and exploding in a large dome of energy. Where the reiatsu had exploded, a large figure stood. A large, robotic figure with two blades, each identical to Chisei's.



Chisei's mouth hung open as the figure walked up to him. "S.. Surudoi Ite?" He gaped, staring up at the large mechanical figure. The figure spoke, "Yes, Chisei. You were the one who summoned me." Surudoi Ite turned to Daigoro, "I assume you're training him for bankai? Just sit back and spectate, you've done a good job, but I need to take it from here." The figure moved its head in what could have been a nod before turning back to Chisei.

Chisei flicked his wrist, sliding the blade back into its hilt. So this was how it was going to happen? He figured he'd have to fight his zanpakuto spirit, and he was ready. He aimed the gun at Surudoi, firing three shots in quick succession before shunpoing behind the large zanpakuto spirit and charging a shot. Surudoi was too quick for that though, he blocked all three shots with his arm, and instantly turned to face Chisei, raising both of his blades and flicking them back into the hilt, shooting about fifty shots, point blank, at Chisei. All of which connected and sent him flying back into the dirt. "Damn." Chisei thought, "This is going to be difficult."

Chisei watched as Daigoro set up the electrical barrier. Interesting. So this really was going to be between just him and Surudoi. Chisei was ready for this. Somehow he knew. He had been ready for this for years. Ever since the brawl with the eleventh division members that had gained him Shikai. That fateful day, centuries ago, felt as if it had been only yesterday. It was still fresh in Chisei's mind. The smell of the arena, the blood splattered on the ground, the feel of the dirt against his arms at he had fallen. His newfound strength after conquering Surudoi Ite in his inner world, his shikai, the new blood that did not belong to him. It was on his blade, on his arm, on his face.. And yet he didn't care. That day had brought a revelation in him. It had taught him to take the offensive. He knew, better than anyone could, that his zanpakuto was offense-based. The offensive it provided was quick, efficient, and lethal. His attacks were all incredibly draining, and Surudoi knew this. That's why they were so lethal, to make up for how little time he was able to use them.

Chisei knew that with training, he would strengthen his reiatsu, and vastly increase the duration in which he could attack. When that happened, he would definitely be a force to be feared. For now, all he knew was how to go on as great an offense as possible. He calculated the possibilities in his head.. was it possible that.. to gain bankai..

He didn't get to finish this thought, it was cut off by the sound of Surudoi's deep, commanding voice. "You have done well, Chisei. It is time." Surudoi had said before immediately charging at Chisei.

Chisei was ready, he had his strategy planned. He knew what he needed to do.. Chisei flicked his wrist, his gun disappearing into the hilt as the blade came back into place. As Surudoi attacked, Chisei did nothing, only calmly raised his blade to block the incoming strikes. He stood there, eyes locked with the mask of his zanpakuto spirit. He knew he was ready for bankai, and he knew how he was going to attain it. Without warning, Chisei's spiritual pressure exploded outward from him, creating a pillar of light-blue energy that reached up into the sky. It wasn't as big or impressive as Daigoro's would have been, but it was his own. And as he stood there, blue eyes locked in concentration, reiatsu surrounding him, blade poised to block.

He felt absolutely invincible..

Chisei blocked every attack fluently. His blade danced as if it had memorized the patterns of the counterparts in Surudoi's hands. Chisei smirked, he knew what he had to do. He watched at the shinigami spirit charged at him and sighed. Chisei once more flicked his wrist, returning his blade to its gun formation. He twirled it around his finger before raising it towards Surudoi. He fired rapidly, each shot that Surudoi fired being blocked by a shot of Chisei's own. Chisei then watched as the armored spirit attempted to tackle him. Chisei was too fast, right before the spirit would have grabbed him, he shunpoed behind the spirit, charging a shot quickly and firing it straight for the zanpakuto spirit's back. If it hit, the force would send Surudoi right into the barrier he had just tried to knock Chisei into.

Chisei grinned, his strategy worked! He smiled proudly as the zanpakuto spirit hit the electrical barrier. But it wasn't over apparently. Chisei's smile faded, he hadn't expected it to be.

Chisei found himself stunned still by the threat of the blade at his throat. He started to shake, was this the end for him..?

Suddenly he heard the robotic voice. H..he had done it? He looked on as the zanpakuto spirit faded from this plane of existence, and watched as the second blade fell to the ground. He picked it up, feeling his spiritual pressure skyrocket as he did so. So this was his bankai, huh? A secondary blade? He smiled. It was perfect.

Chisei turned to Dai as he approached. "I guess I did do it, huh?" He grinned, "Well it feels relieving.. and almost anticlimactic." He chuckled. "Guess I better put it to good use, aye?" Chisei smiled softly, looking up into the sky. He had done it..
