Song: Poisnous Spider Daughter - Word Count: N/A
Mana decided to slide her out of the chest of Cali after she had stated why she persisted within this maddening reality. There was a sense of satisfaction in her words that were uttered. As, if nothing else, if one had a foundation of spirit that they could otherwise see themselves out of any circumstance. Having a goal, purpose or cause to live could push a person to achieve great things within this life. Even someone filled with madness knew this simple fact of existence and used it to make the chaos and disorder of this world work in her favor.
Thus, The Queen began to have a swirl of different demons emerge around Cali in a series of holographic images. These were all the foul creatures of the demon world who lived under the rule of The Asthavon; so it showcased entire families, packs, prisoners and soon spread throughout the many cities under the kingdom. In essence, this was reflecting the people that Cali was meant to serve and she wanted to jam that sense of duty, feeling and purpose into her by compressing this image into a ball. Then, when it was consumed within an emerald light, striking it straight in her chest as the fires around them intensified.
"Ya' got a touch of nobility within ya, eh? Then keep ingesting it, never forget it and ingrain that shit into your spirit, child. It will give you a core and foundation to never lose track of."
...
There was a pause.
Then -- pressure.
So much pressure.
It was as if the weight of the world started to outright step on the depths of Cali's soul as the Queen's eye lost the colors in them.
"Really: are you able to cling to these values, understand who you are and reclaim that which you are from the madness so that it can serve you and your goals? If you aren't able to do that, then if it isn't me, then someone else can absolve and wash away your will, your spirit, and your mind. Do you seriously want that? Then give me a good response as to who the fuck you are, child."
At this point, the woman dropped her Texan twang for all but a moment to otherwise stern her voice, intensify her energy and give her direct attention straight down on her daughter. Indeed, she was expecting a damn good answer and was not going to wait long to receive one. Thus, it was up to Cali to otherwise define the traits of herself, create a root within her soul and find something to grasp to even in times of great distress and pain....

This is fine.
She felt her mother's hand leave her chest, no blood or agony from such an action were put upon her. They were in a shared mental space, so pain where there wasn't intended to be wouldn't be that much of a shocking thing. It just felt like a hole in her, meant to be filled. She looked up at her mother, soon her sight being stolen by the appearance of ghost-like images surrounding her. It kept expanding and expanding, into a whole realm of people.
People she wished to help, enrich, and care for; The Demon World's citizens.
And with that, she saw such sights being compressed, and lit aflame within her mother's palm, and then, slammed into her chest. Calypso let out a surprised gasp as she flinched, feeling that space being filled all of a sudden, her flesh wrapping around the mentally produced wound, as if accepting the new addition to her being.
And with that acceptance, came no turning back. All of a sudden, after such a pause, it felt like her entire existence roared with pressure, like an earthquake was going off inside of her, causing her to gasp loudly and fall to her knees.
Don't scream.
She did not scream. She felt an array of emotions towards this purpose that she wished for herself. Longing, Desire, Determination, Fear, Worry, Love, Protection. Her eyes were tearing up from the intensity such a desire asked of her. She breathed hard, bringing her hands to her chest, that felt like her heart was going out of control.
Don't fall.
Don't break.
Even in this painful weight of what she wished to do, a realization dawned upon her golden eyes.
This is what I wanted to do my entire life.
That's right.
Ever since she was able to think, she wanted to give people joy, give them strength, give them love.
...
At some time, long long ago, her eyes opened onto a world of darkness, the only thing within it other than her was a distraught woman. She was frustrated, picking at something pretty and red in her hands, it's soft petals falling onto the void's flooring, floating as if on the surface of a lake. She couldn't understand what she was saying, but she came over, touching the petals, and soon looked to the woman. Her tiny black hands tried to copy what she had, creating a child-like drawing rather than an actual, true flower. But this tiny creature had no room for reference, tugging on the woman's dress as she released a frustrated growl, looking to her as she then offered the flower.
Silence ensued in that moment, until the woman's soft hand touched the little one's own, her anger softening into tears; Tears of a being who had been alone for far too long. The little one then did something else that felt good; She reached her tiny arms out, and hugged the woman's arm, rubbing what little form of a body she had against her.
Such a little moment, from long long ago, birthed such a strong desire within the demon...
...
Caly's fingers tightened upon the dirt that she had fallen onto, her resolve coming to fruition, as those flaming, butterfly-like wings she formed previously, however the flames were less dense, and more fluid, burning strongly as that desire to be free in her own thoughts and will blossomed forth, purple energy glowing and soon spawning small flowers upon her being, her hair, arms, and legs growing such forms, as Calypso accepted the pressure. She didn't push it out, she didn't scream against it, she accepted that it existed, because she in her heart knew that it was what she wanted, and had, to do, no matter how painful or horrifying it was to do.
".. I am one who wishes to bring strength, love, and freedom to those in need, I am a person of kindness and patience to those I see as allies and family, though one of brutality and retribution to those who wrong me or those I love and protect. I am a being of evolution, to constantly continue growing and evolving to pursue these ends. But most importantly.."
The demoness slowly rose her head, golden tears faintly streaking her cheeks as a shimmer of maturity and kindness were in her eyes, a soft smile creasing her lips as she gazed at her mother lovingly,
"I am Calypso Asthavon, Danava of Dreams and Nightmares, and a princess of the Demon World, one who wishes to create change."
She slowly rose to her feet, refusing to take her gaze off the woman before her, "Hi Mama, I remember everything. And what I can say, is..."
She suddenly came over to the woman, without missing a heartbeat did she pull her into a hug, regardless of any backlash it may result in, closing her eyes softly, "Despite everything, that did or didn't happen between us, I forgive you."

The refined aura which was emitting from The Queen's daughter had managed to otherwise strengthen and resolve itself against the weight pouring down on its soul. For it is not the fact that there was pain which is where it found it's strength, but beginning to understand accept that a life absolved of this strife, madness, and chaos is not impossible. And so, instead, Cali leaned on the desire to have the strength to otherwise have the power to endure a hard life. So, to that end, Mana was pleased with the response she was given.
However, before The Queen could get deeper into meshing together her own thoughts, the now cheery eyed Calypso had embraced her mother in one warm hug. It was something which Mana expected, but what was not expected had been the uttering of the words of forgiveness. Upon hearing those words, Mana could do nothing more than gaze upon the visage of her daughter. With a few blinks passing by, it took her time to contemplate the concept.
Being that she was a foul creature from the pits of hell itself, the fiendish acts of sin, torment, and destruction under her hands are immense. So, she expected no forgiveness from this world for all that the chaos she brought into it. Which is ultimately why she embraced her in such a tender hug because of the fact that The Queen felt almost dumbfounded someone could find the capacity to absolve her own misdeeds in this life. Sure, she doesn't expect to get anything absurd like a halo n' wings into heaven, but something about the action moved something within herself.
"...tch, ya' really think ya' can just forgive all I've done to ya? It's a tall order, kiddo, but more power to ya' for having the nerve to stick to it."
Mushy, mushy stuff was not Mana's expertise, but she gave out a reluctant sigh as if she is bold enough to bring entire kingdoms crumbling, what's the harm in confronting whatever non-sensical feelings love brought? So, to further push through the boundaries of herself, Mana kissed the forehead of Calypso and uttered these words out to her:
"I love you as well, my child."
There was then a pause before Mana closed her eyes and carried on.
"I refuse to baby you and will give you the savage brutality this world has in store for you, the bond between us is one I'm not able to ignore. The blood in which I share with my sisters, brothers and all those in the Asthavon mean something in this mad little heart of mine. So as your mother and your Queen, I will see to it that this mania we are cursed with will drive us to greatness. You have my promise, dear."
And with that, Mana simply held Clai in her hands and exhaled a final sigh.
"I'm sorry for the hurt my mad love has caused you."

There was an air of gentleness to the young demon as she embraced her mother, hearing her words and softly laughing in response,
"I didn't think I could for a time, myself. But I've made up my mind... I forgive you, and I feel at peace with forgiving you."
Her voice was soft and delicate, like the finest silk one could buy, as her fiery wings gently half eclipsed the two in their dancing blaze, their radiance warm and gentle in reflection of Calypso's own emotions in this moment. She giggled softly, sighing as her mother kissed and spoke of loving her as well, such words only bringing more warmth and peace to her.
Though she heard her mother's insistent words following such sentimental ones, releasing a soft 'mhmm' in response, her hands softly racing up and down the woman's back as she then gave her own little reply,
"I wouldn't expect you to. Treating me like an infant would have gotten me nowhere near my goal. And I will live and survive and adapt to such brutality. I cannot spread my kindness if I cannot survive the world, and as such, I accept and feel happy you were willing to go to these lengths for me to grow.. Thank you, Mother."
She then raised a hand to touch the woman's pale cheek, staring into her wicked eyes lovingly as she spoke in response to her apology,
"I knew you had a heart somewhere in you. And I feel i've found it at last."
Her wings slowly dissipated back into her body, the young one standing tall, having accepted the pressures her desires asked of her, and feeling a true forgiveness and new understanding of her mother, slowly leaning in and giving her a warm kiss on the cheek, smiling.
"Do you feel it's time for us to wake?"

Ah~ The feeling of love in the air was a maddening feeling, was it not? It allowed for one to drown out their senses, throw away their logic and say fuck it all to every bit of rational thought they had. So why else could such a powerful drug of the heart, mind, and soul not be used to induce a loving high? Getting drunk on the rich flavor of a true bond, one could not help but begin to laugh as waves of pleasure trickles down their spine; so as to did Mana begins to let out her jovial cackles before grinning down at Cali.
"Time to wake? We haven't even fully begun, my child~"
In a matter of moments, the world around them began to shift, swirl and contort into a space of pink flames, starry strawberry and white skies and the twinkling of many different stars echoed in the background as the emerald flames, screams of pain and hellish landscape faded into this cherry atmosphere. Yes, the fire around them was still alive; mixing with colors of white and blush, yet it held a much more lively feeling to it as the Queen started summoning her mad energy.
"Ya are standing in the dream world of my heart n' mind: did ya' really think I was gonna let you escape without putting that foundation of your spirit to the test? To withstand yourself in the realm of chaos, madness, and Discordia is an utmost necessity to drive home the desires ya' crave, darling!"
Ol' Mana then decided to the way her hand, forge a scythe made out of rose-hued energy n' pointed straight at Cali so that she may summon whatever she needs to in order to make her spirit strong, body able and mind ready to clash in the hall of mania.
"Charge at me, my child. Show me all that you've learned. I want to see the woman you have become, the confidence I have instilled in you and the blood of an asthavon to face the chaos of this world with a maddening grin across that cute little face of yours!"

A somewhat expectant yet excited smile dawned on the young demon's face at her mother's response. Just the reply she was hoping for; she knew they were nowhere near to done, even after all the gushy sentiments. Her mother wanted to beat her down with the expectation of her coming back stronger, and she was intent on exceeding such an expectation. No, not to please her mother, but to become the best version of herself she possibly could be. Living and developing only for other people's expectations was foolish, her mind actually speaking sense. This training only served for her own personal development, not to please her mother or anyone else. Such was the condition she accepted it on, and now here she was.
She watched as the dream changed shape, the emerald hues and the screams of the damned diminishing, a lovelier set of pink and white hues taking over the space instead. She was surprised her mother's mind could shift so radically from one state to another, but then again, it was a dream, there was no need for surprise. Anything could happen in the mind of a dreamer, and with such a fact, Calypso tilted her head down and scoffed gently.
"Of course, Mother! I was hoping you'd be sticking to your guns in straining the absolute shit out of me to prepare my mind and soul, so i'm quite grateful you aren't letting up on me!"
She quickly made distance between the two of them upon her mother spawning a scythe, a gentle yet mischievous giggle coming from the protege's lips as she did not summon a weapon as well. Instead, she waved one of her hands, it forming into a ghoulish, long fingered form, completely black and said fingers were turned into razor sharp talons coated in dark purple crystals, as a mere example of her point.
"Ehehe, I'm not one to use weapons, I find they limit my creativity~"
The wings burst from her back once more in their disordered glory, as her mother dared her to charge at her and show her what she had. An excited grin came across the girl's features as she dug her heel into the dirt, staring dead on at her mother,
"Here I come, Mommy~"
Suddenly a deep mist blanketed their current position, this Horror Shroud that she used in order for cover. She knew her mother would likely resist it or get away from it, despite it's fear inducing properties, but it was the best first move she could come up with. Her weight was shifted into barely even a feather's, shooting towards her mother as she laughed, rearing her clawed arm as if she were going in for a slash.
But at the last second, she halted, and giggled, "Juuust kidding~!"
Instead, her wings had suddenly formed large, sharp crystals, and with a ginger flap of the flaming extremities, a rain of sharp, energized crystals would rain upon her mother, and in the process propel her backwards into the sky.
"Come and catch meeee~!"

"Would ya' really have it any other way but brutal?"
That was the first response Mana cracked off when Cali was delighted to hear the brutality was going to move forward. After all: how on earth were you going to build muscle if you didn't put them under pressure? It made sense in the mind of The Mad Queen to push her daughter's mind, body and spirit to the brink of destruction, sanity n' all that other good junk. If she wasn't able to handle it, then she'd have no business in the world of combat, savagery n' to be placed in the favor of the gods themselves.
Alas, though, there wasn't much time to mull over such sweet sentiments. Instead, Mana was ready to react on a dime to anything that Cali was ready to throw at her. As she'd soon show her what a bit of creativity, leverage n' pull her powers allotted her. This is why when the young Asthavon charged at her mother did she then begin to twirl her scythe around in a rapid fashion. In doing so, she summoned forth a great deal of demonic energy to its tip so that a vortex of hot cherry pink energy would emerge. Within this wormhole would be a summoning spell meant to absorb the mist out of the dream world, into some bum fuck region of the demon world and call it a day as far as dealing with that singular attack. Well, at least if all went according to plan, anyway.
That then led to her attention being focused on the crystal shreds being spewed forth in her direction. All of them were filled to the brim with energy, so it only felt right to flap her own batty wings and send off plums of emerald and pink energy to otherwise have each of the attacks cancel each other out. In the process, Mana propelled herself in the air to take flight and moved with the explosive burst that the colliding blast provided. In this way, she sought to play a bit of tag with Cali and bolted at supersonic speeds toward her vicinity.
"Ya' wanna play tag with mum, eh? Sure. I'm game, s'ugah."
With a wink of her right eye, Ol'McMana then decided to cut these crops down to size as her tongue extended multiple feet outward to try and slither itself around Cali. Provided this event took place, The Demoness sought to constrict and hold her within the grasp of her tongue. Of course, if she did manage to make contact, she'd soon cut off that tongue and grow another. It was more of a formality to taste the sweet, tangy bliss of her daughter's own mania and to otherwise ingest that chaos into herself.
At any rate, even if she failed to catch her, the instant in which she cut her tongue off would be the same one where an explosion of bunnies, bats, whales, candy, smoke, and stars would ignite. As it sought to feed off the madness of the realm, accelerate the growth of energy within it and smolder her in a pit of warm chaos. The likes of which would most likely feel as if her own spirit were being hit in the chest and her soul being tested by the Asthavon.
"I'mma getcha~!"

Caly certainly knew that her mother could catch up to her all too quickly, seeing her extend her tongue out to wrap around her. However, the second the tongue got close to catching her, one of her legs would rapidly change into a blade, easily bending and twisting to slice her mother's tongue off far too early for it to do much, a swell feeling gushing in Calypso's chest,
"Soorry~! This sweet treat won't be caught that easily~!"
She giggled as she watched the tongue suddenly explode into a whole manner of cute n' magical things, the girl's eyes glimmering in amazement as she kicked her legs, floating for a moment,
"Awwh! Such cute things for me?! You shouldn't have!"
Her hands suddenly waved out, a wave of purple energy eclipsing and suddenly compressing the collection of creatures and theatrics into a small bubble which trembled with the desire to burst,
"I just can't have all of this to MYSELF!"r
She reared a foot back, unnaturally far, and gave the compressed bubble of energy a big fat KICK, barreling it towards her mother. Should it hit, it would burst and explode on the woman, rather than herself, as she flew up, almost looking like she was dancing on air, having a gay ol time in the sky.
"You gotta try harder than thaaat~! I don't wanna end the game super early by being a gigantic pussy like before!"
In all honesty, Calypso was having a ball with this, she couldn't stop grinning, some kind of sick giddiness boiling in her chest as she taunted her mother, soon both of her arms forming to appear much like a mythical dragon's, charging a rather scary looking black and white flashing sphere of energy,
"Boom boom goes the room!"
Suddenly these heads her hands turned into would throw the balls of compressed energy at the woman, merely to add more injury to... Well injury. Upon contact with a solid object, these spooky spheres would explode, quite grandly, burning and breaking anything caught in their black.
"Weee~"

"Oh, so ya' not gonna make it borin' this time around, s'ug? Fun."
Ol'Mac'Mana'Had'A'Farm certainly didn't have issues with her tongue being ripped to pieces by the attack. After all: all of the pieces of it weren't destroyed! So, with a lil' demon voodoo, she controlled a few pieces in order to try and attach themselves to whatever body part of Cali's they could. Whether it be her legs, ankles, thighs; it didn't matter. They just needed a nibble and they were gonna act like the worst animal known to mankind: Mosquito's! Like this useless, ugly, pointless creature; it was going to suck the juice right out of Cali. Save, in this instance, the juice meant her energy.
Of course, given all this ample demonic energy in the area, was it any wonder that more bullshittery was going to occur from these two demons? In a matter of moments, it seemed as if the cluster of The Queens energy that was bleeding out in the battlefield around them had given shape to a massive -- duck. Yeah, a fucking duck. Of all things -- she summoned a duck. But, at least it was a Mighty Duck! (Does anyone even remember that show?) And with this Mighty Duck, it expanded to roughly be the size of an entire city block and used it's massive mouth to gobble up the assault Cali made and to explode safely away from The Queen.
"Quack~"
That's all Farmer Mana could say before she formed a two dozen spades. Each of these spades had Joker (Clown) faces all over them and they rapidly changed color like one of those seizure inducing cartoons. Then, with the sounds of cars reeving engines coming from these constructs of her power, the energized spades grew to be the size of a chihuahua, gave a bark and shot themselves at mach two speeds towards Cali. Along the way, they obliterated everything in their path and sought to explode with great force all around the little demon. With glistening stars bleeding froth from these spades, the excess energy formed into a whirlwind of cosmic wonder as she wanted to form a cage to trap her daughter in to prevent her from escaping this attack easily. As, while it looked like a beautiful array of twinkling stars all around her, they were very much explosive to the touch and would burn upon making direct contact.
Of course, while this was all taking place, there were still the issues of Cali's own attacks moving at supersonic speeds towards Mana. So, instead of deciding to make a move, Super Cooking Mama Mana decided to go ahead and use her own batty wings to shield her. Since there wasn't much time to react, she turbocharged them with emerald energy, placed them in front of her and sought to activate an emerald shield around herself to otherwise endure the attack. While, at the same time, waiting to see if her own attack managed to slow the child down enough to tag her.

It was quite hard to ignore the icky pieces of tongue she didn't manage to cage, feeling them squirm against her flesh as they tried to suck her dry. She smirked, clicking her teeth, purple energy encasing these remaining bits, instead of them eating her, she ate them, bending them to become one with her. She was greatly amused when she saw the appearance of a giant fucking duck come upon the battlefield, gobbling up her attacks and exploding away from the queen. Nonetheless, she was pretty amused.
"WHAT IN THE BLOODY HELL WAS THAT?!"
"What in the bloody hell was what?"
"That THING."
"That was a duck."
"THE FUCK IS A DUCK?!"
As Calypso had a bit of a back and forth with Pseudologoi on what waterfowl were supposed to be, and how absolutely irked the child of Eris was by such a creature's sudden appearance, the girl did not stop to chit-chat, she was quite busy at work not getting killed by her mother's seizure arrows. She flew left and right, being chased by them, however she wasn't just trying to avoid them. A tendril coated in vibrant purple energy sought to catch and enslave one of these arrows to her will, scratch that, enslave four to her will; Four would do the job nicely. She then hid them underneath her clothing, making it unclear what she had just done, and allowed herself to get wrapped up in the stardust, a mischievous grin on the girl's lips as her body was obscured from view.
Without warning or prompting, the girl would appear out of view of her mother, right behind her, tendrils wrapped nicely around the arrows that now glowed with a purple hue, twitching with the desire to be flung. As she then threw them much like darts towards her mother, she suddenly flew backwards in order to dodge what she felt to be an inevitable stabbing with tendrils, but not before throwing more shards of crystal towards her mother, but this time, they radiated and trembled with energy, and would explode on contact if they stabbed into the woman successfully.
"Honk honk~"
