"There we go. Now we are gettin' somewhere, s'ugah."
After hearing that ghastly scream across the heavens, Ol' Mana could only giggle in delight at the awakening she caused upon her daughter. Yes, pain, violence, and mental torment were such excellent ways to bring about higher levels of consciousness, being and power. The Queen was a bitch, but this bitch had her methods and she could tell that they were producing results as the pulsation of energy within Cali was only growing stronger her seal learned to fight alongside its host.
"Punish lil' ol' me? Really? How bad do you want it? Show me it, toots! Show me how badly you wanna fuck this lil' ol' adorable face of mine!"
Speaking like a little kid at this point, Mana was really getting into character, feeling herself, savoring this madness and feeling oh-so-much-more lively from the raw primal rage which was brewing forth from Cali's madness. It was like a hit of ecstasy to her otherwise drab n' dull existence. So, to have more fun with this, Queenie was gonna play hard to get! Like the teasing little bitch she was, the demoness let Cali assume she was going to get that hit in -- only to close the gap in a matter of seconds. As, when those claws tried to pierce through Mana, a dozen or so tendrils exploded from the chest of Mana and they sought to beat her daughter away with brute force and speed with the rate of force, momentum, and power they exploded at.
Throughout her arms n' gut did spikes then arise so that even if her daughter were to land a hit, it was going to come at the price of shattering her own hands and taking damage from coming into contact with such sharp appendages. Indeed, this little switch-up caused Mana to start hollering with laughter as sweet little Cali started screaming punish again and again.
"Oh yes, do punish me~ I do like a good thrashin' or two, but ya' gotta work fer it, dearie~! So try a little harder please! Just let the seal guide you."

"PUNISH PUNISH PUNISH PUNISH PUNISH!"
Calypso felt such rabid anger that that was the only word she could say in her burning state. She felt hot, on fire, in lava, and god it felt right to feel like that. This was right, this was justified, this was so so good. It was so amazing she couldn't help but laugh as she screamed that tedious, angered word, even as her first chance to give such punishment was seemingly torn away.
Or was it?
Had she retained some of her previous sense, she would have jumped back, but such sense did not occur to her in this state. No, no, what her body truly did was something that could only be seen as idiotic to any outside viewer. While she did indeed get stabbed, her hands pierced, her clawed wings shattered into shards, she did not get blown away, no, she didn't want to. Creatures, that was the only reasonable way to describe them, creatures, with bulging eyes and hideous fanged mouths formed from her flesh, and had bitten down harshly on the tendrils that wished to blow her away, while her body was pierced, the organisms that her body had formed into as a defensive measure kept her anchored, and biting down fiercely as a series of growls, hisses, and grunts came from it.
Stabbed hands? The fuck were hands? Just make more.
In her forcibly immobilized state, shadowy, clawed hands formed from her back, so deformed and confusing that they barely looked human at all. To add insult to injury, the enraged child spat the blue blood she had pooling in her mouth in the woman's face in a disgusting spray. Why she did this? Punishment. It was that simple.
The shadowy hands would quickly move to begin clawing at the woman if nothing else was done, wishing to begin cutting the tendrils and dig into her flesh, forcing the two even closer together, even if it meant intensifying the severity of Calypso's present wounds. She certainly was working for it, yes, even if she didn't give a fuck to the whims of the annoying buzzy voice.

Ol' Mama was impressed with her munchkin was starting to pick up on how to better use her powers. There was nothing to fear when it came to how mendable her body was. That didn't necessarily mean ya had to be dimmer than a wet match in a dark cave with how ya utilize your power, but it gives liberation in not fearing pain or suffering as much. After all, Cali came out of the abyss of Mana's body: she damn well better not be a pussy and as easily disposable as a paper bag on a rainy day.
So, as the two were disposing of body parts like they were toys to be swapped on the playground, Mana let the damn miniature creatures which sprang forth from Cali's body eat her tendrils. If they wanted that discount mystery meat for dinner, they could have it. Instead, The Queen turned her gem green eyes toward the shadowy claws forming around her daughter. Sure, she could pay attention to the spew of aqua blood which rained down on her body, but Mana quickly followed that up by bleeding out an excessive amount of acidic blood. This would come out of all her pours, move in the direction of Cali and sought to burn her body in a hailstorm of gem green fluids.
Tendril against shadow, daughter against mother; no one knew where this spar was going. But, if nothing else, this was a good workout to get the sludge out of Mana's own blood as her eyes shifted toward Cali.
"Alright. Are you gonna add something else to this? Show me everything you got, toots."
And with that, Ol' Mana gave a cackle, opened her mouth and fired off a lush green burst of energy from her mouth that was meant to devour the child in a burst of demonic power. The likes of which could indeed create a small crater around them; producing a damning boom which could rumble the heavens themselves and burn through the gates of hades. If she were to take a direct hit from an attack like that, there is no doubt that she'd sustain heavy burns, a drain on her durability and further weakening of her energy as she clashed against the might of The Demon Queen in their playful wonderland of madness and bloodshed.
"Ain't this the way it should be? Daughter n' mother beating the ever shit out of each other to fix their problems. Honestly, I feel a lot of dysfunctional families could benefit from having a day where they just beat the shit out of each other until it's all out of their system~ We've come so far because of it!"

Caly sensed the feeling of burning upon her skin, one of her eyes twitching down to look at the green shit that had covered her body. Small shadowy hands formed on her body, clawing at her own flesh, as if it were some uncontrolled attempt to scrape the blood off of her. However, almost in response to her mother's question, Calypso's incomprehensible wings sprouted forth, crystalline structures forming around and within them, as she then gave them a flap.. An ever so gentle flap.. That would bring slices and gashes to her mother's body as the crystals moved jaggedly and randomly.
Calypso did not move an inch as a flash of green energy enveloped her body, only increasing her current suffering, the child's eyes rolled up into her head as she stood clinging against her mother, mouth inhumanely agape. Then, just then, did her body push into an emergency state; from her agape mouth, a brief glint of small purple eyes was present, until a black shadowy form suddenly emerged, jumped and then latched itself onto the woman's body, digging it's jaws into her flesh, and drank. Several smaller versions of that dark, furry, tick-like creature emerged from the young one's body, wishing to latch onto and drink away at Mana's energy, as the child's body seemed almost limp and lifeless, her chest hardly rising and falling.
But boy, boy no, was she done. Suddenly along her body, all the eyes would shut simultaneously, and in their place, much larger, irksome eyes would open, and in a stomach-churning squelch, would all look at Mana in sync, almost as if digging past all her flesh and peering directly into her mind and soul. Calypso's breath hitched as an additional limb was formed, however, instead of a regular hand, it was a bony thin creation, white, glowing cracks along it, as strange dark flecks gently fluttered from it, as if it were peeling and rotting away.
Disperse.
Such a simple mental command would bring about a terrifying display. Flecks of darkness suddenly were produced from this strange hand en masse, swirling around the two as if it sought to devour everything. Within this swirl of death, the air felt like it went dead. Sound was softened, smells were nonexistent, the world turned a dull black and white. Even breathing within this dead space would feel numbing, tiring to the senses, as Calypso stood there, not completely aware of what she was doing in the moment as her mind one again caved into the pain, but her body kept going with the battle. Within this, if she wasn't to move, another tendril would form from the child, becoming long and sharp like a blade, and would wish to slice through the woman's shoulderblade.

Ol' Mana couldn't do anything but give another witch's laugh at the sight of her own body being cut, torn and slashed apart from the crystals which yearned to bring her so much pain. Sure, there were cuts, tears, and blood spewing forth from her body; but the child had earned that much if nothing else. And much of the same could be said for these spunky creatures of the dark which were trying to drain the essence of life from the temple of satanic glee which was Mana's body.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh -- no."
With that simple denial, the creatures would find themselves getting burnt and blown back by a sudden rupture of acidic blood. Indeed, she was going to vaporize them or whatever was latching on to her body until it was gone, melted to goo or otherwise had sense enough to back off. As the potency of her blood was blazing hot n' could outright melt through gold if she so chose to. So, clinging to her body wasn't in the top ten smartest things to do right now category.
Though, Mana's sight soon shifted to the world dulling around her after that point. Sounds hushed, colors vanished and the air was filled with something fiercely dead. Things were growing blacker by the second and The Queen wasn't too much of a fan of what was going on. Color is what made the world worth living for and to feel the warmth of sensation that existence bleeds into the cosmos was not one thing she wanted to end. So, with a sudden screech of power, the sounds of children screaming roared across the battlefield like a sea of angry hornets and The Queen sought to usher in more color back to her world.
"Ya' tryin' to spook me? Ya', ya got me n' it shocked me, but I ain't gon' let that happen. Trying to sow the seeds of numbness ain't the brightest idea as I refuse to live a life without that fire in me, child....."
Then, with a snarl of her own, Mana amplified the physical strength in her right arm so that she could outright grab the tendril which was heading toward her, rip it off with her brute strength and roar out a demonic howl into the air around them.
"....don't fuck with my heart, toots!!!"
And with that, The Queen then buried her daughter in a hailstorm of energized arrows which fell from the heavens themselves. Dozens of them were released at mach one speeds and were meant to act as a carpet bomb to otherwise flatten the entire area for a few city blocks or so. This was going to test her daughter's durability, see how much pain she could withstand and it was going to prove useful to see how far the seal is going to go under high-stress situations such as the one that Cali was facing right this very second against her mother.

While they were nothing more than constructs of Calypso's flesh, meant to assimilate energy, they had enough sense to back off and take back what little they were able to gather to their creator, hopping off as if they were jumping spiders, retaining their own burns from not being too lucky with ejecting, and fusing back with the young one. Her horrid injuries that were slowly healing increased in restoration speed suddenly, but it didn't mean that pain no longer consumed her. Nay, it simply meant she'd be kept from a critical state, or worse.
Calypso could no longer read what the hell was going on, she felt torn apart mentally and physically, standing listlessly in the thornbush of her mother's tendrils, even the mouths that had formed on her body were beginning to chew far more lightly, weakened and tiring out. However, her mother tearing off a part of her oh so easily was a push to the edge of the cliff..
The rain of arrows was the tipping point. Calypso was filled with holes, like some kind of sickeningly blue, eye filled swiss cheese, her blood caked body only becoming more soaked as she felt herself waver. Her eyes blinked slowly, heavying, as if tired and ready to sleep. Her wings fizzled out like a glorious dying flame, crystals shattering and turning into dust. The taken off limb mindlessly squirmed and hit against the ground like a torn off lizard tail, before finally stopping and slowly burning away.
The ash as well soon dematerialized from her mother's pushback, Calypso's body going limp and returning to only two limbs as the gnawing jaws stopped all together, the injured child sliding off and then hitting the dirt, a splatter of blue painting the dead earth beneath her. While at first glance she would appear dead, the flesh around her wounds twitched, and slowly began stitching itself together, however the youth herself was definitely unconscious, her chest gently rising and falling, eyes only partially open, but looking into them would truly show that she was awake no longer.

Aye. It was only a matter of time before Cali was going to tire out. I mean: who else thought this battle would end in anyway? Yet, it was the way in which they got to this result which mattered the most to this foul demonic witch. If her sweet little bundle of joy had not embraced the madness, fought back, endured suffering and broke under the weight of these demands -- well -- that would have been a waste of a soul, body, and mind. So, to her credit, she did manage to exceed expectations.
However, there was still a long road to go. Mana was less than assured that she knew even a fraction of what she was capable of. Calypso was cut forth from the finest drop of demonic blood within this sorry world, yet she still seemed so limited by her mentality. Yes, one isn't exactly born with the power out the gate, but she had all the ingredients needed to rapidly progress if she were willing to face this perilous journey to wherever the bloody hell she desired to be.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa~ Ya did as well as ya could, child. At least I can work with whatever ya are now."
After the youth had finally lost her steam, The Queen took a seat next to her fainted daughter; keeping a close eye on her as she soon started to fall into a deep slumber. It might take a while for her to recover, so to speed things along Mana assumed it would be better to just straight-up feed her some of the strongest demonic extracts that demon world had to offer. So, without wasting any time, Ol' Queenie bit her wrist, made sure it bled nice n' good and then slipped some of its liquid contents into the lips of Cali.
What was the purpose of sharing her blood with her daughter? For her body to ingest the fluid, bond with it and rapidly heal so that they wouldn't waste weeks waiting for her to recover. Mana wasn't an idiot and knew that the beating she gave her daughter would probably make most demons be knocked out cold for a month. So, it made sense that she'd take care of her kin, watch over her and ensure that the recovery process healed her swiftly and built her to be stronger in body, mind, and spirit whenever she decided to awake.
But -- there was something in this silence that was nagging at Mana's chest. A warmth? A feeling of motherly instinct? The bloody witch didn't understand, but something in herself was coming out in this interaction n' it felt rather for her to indulge in. So, she cusped her right hand against the cheek of Cali and observed her for a moment before muttering this out for only herself to hear:
"I am sorry, my child. Sorry for many things, but at least we have this brief moment before we have to face the world again."
With one hushed sigh, The Queen sat in the lotus position, closed her eyes and dipped herself into a meditative trance to become focusing her own maddening energies. If nothing else, this was giving her a moment to prepare herself for the hell that waits with whatever the universe has to give her as a result of World War Four and it's ramifications. So, with that weighing on her mind, The Mad Queen simply awaited and would resume her consciousness the instant her daughter awake so that they may resume their collective training together.

Darkness.
It felt like pure darkness the moment their consciousness left them. But they didn't really feel anything, either. It wasn't anything while they was unconscious, it was as if whatever made them themselves turned off amidst their unconsciousness. It wasn't simply floating within darkness, it was darkness. No activity in their mind, not even dreams or nightmares, as it simply rested. Rested as the maddening energies continued to pump through their being like a cacophony of insects crawling around their home. Being darkness was an indescribable experience, literally.
..ypso..
A voice called out in the darkness, finally the ability to hear back to the demon as they heard something calling out to it.
..Cal..ypso..
It only got louder, clearer. They didn't need to strain as much to listen.
"WAKE UP YOU IDIOT!"
Eyes flashed open to dimly lit darkness, a cramped space around them as a snake with red eyes was hovering over their field of vision. It only stared silently at the creature, not even a glimmer of recognition coming to it's eyes. They were in a womb-like space, small enough that the formation of thought was resting in a fetal position, the walls ever pulsating with green and purple energies within vein-like structures. It was dark, but it was warm, and safe. They liked it.
"Good gods, good fucking gods, you actually did it, and you survived.. Well, for the most part, how's that gigantic psychological shift treating you, dearie?"
They had no idea what they were looking at, they simply had the desire to hug it, and thus, it did, bringing the snake into a gentle embrace, wordlessly peering up at the ovular ceiling of this cramped space.
"..Shit, your head really got knocked loose, huh? Oh well... If you could survive that onslaught, you can survive this.. Now get the fuck up, you have shit to do."
For some strange reason the being was compelled to listen to this creature, and thus it's eyes shut...
----
Calypso's eyes then opened, the young one was asleep for around two days, far accelerated due to her mother's blood, of which she still could taste the faint hints of in her mouth as she sat up. Something didn't appear quite right, not like before. Her movements and aura were far more docile, her eyes having no light within them, as if she was still asleep. The state that she was currently in could very well be described as sleep walking, not completely remembering what she was, what she was doing, or if existence even mattered. Her gaze slowly scanned about, until her eyes laid upon..
H̸̖̼͂e̸͉͊ŕ̵͙͉͉̱̪̤̹̂̓̈́̐̚.̵̡͎͕͖̔͊̈̀́̈́͗͘ͅ
She couldn't remember who she was looking at, or why she mattered, but looking at her made her head buzz. Not in a good way, if a buzzy head could be good. What little thoughts that went through her head made her itch, itch, itch. She couldn't competently express her feelings, so instead she reacted as simply to the feeling to reach some form of comfort. Her hands, having become clawed and dark, began scratching at her head and face, restless noises coming from the little one as she scratched and scratched. It felt like the more she tried to relieve the feeling, the more itchy her head felt. She wanted it to stop, why did it not stop?
Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop.
What is this feeling?
Stop. Stop. Stop. STOP. STOP.
S T O P .
Blue liquid would come from her self inflicted wounds, her eye twitching, and soon, a smile creased her lips. A shaky, horribly confused smile, heaving laughter escaping her lips as her mind kept coming up with so many different, conflicting thoughts and feelings, but her present mentality had no idea how to even come close to approaching it.

Up and at em~! That was one word to describe Mana's swift awakening from her meditative trance. After spending many a day in a healing meditative trance to mend the spiritual and mental injuries to her body, the wicked witch of the west found herself back in the realm of the living so that she may shift her gem green gaze upon the broken Cali. It didn't take a rocket scientist to deduce that the poor lil' thang was suffering as sea-colored liquid flowed from her being and she wandered around like a mindless 9-5 zombie.
So, it is upon seeing this that the now fully grown Mana had spread her batty wings, sat upright and began walking over to the youth. In a matter of moments, she then embraced her in the warm feeling of her bosom; safely tucked in a bundle of wondrously potent maddening energy. There were many gears which had been shattered in the conflict of mother n' daughter, yet Ol' Mana knew just what to do as far as she was concerned. Much like a hungry coyote ready for the taste of flesh, as did Mana begin consuming the state of despair within the depths of Cali's mind.
Bit by bit, piece by piece; the mother's emerald energy seamed into her daughter's body so that it could begin absorbing enough of the unsteady flows of thought so that she may be able to otherwise form a coherent sentence. As, much like a drink, there is a certain thing as having too much of a good thing. It's great to have a few drinks n' get your ass as drunk as a skunk, yet it could lead to a total state of hell if you allow yourself to be naked, bleeding and have not an iota of a clue where you are in some foreign city and no money to your name. And, judging by Cali's reactions, it's clear she was at that latter point.
It is why Mana then found a rock, sat her comfortable tush on it and rested Cali in her arms if she didn't fight against it. In that moment, she merely placed her hands through her head and uttered these words out to her:
"Good morning, sleeping beauty. Mama has a lil' treat just fer ya. Let me take cure of those nasty wounds~"

The young demon who had embraced and had begun her own journey within the thralls of madness continued to aggressively scratch at her own head. It was so confusing and strange, so strange, she didn't know how to think or feel, or what was even happening. Drank just a bit too deeply into the experience, she did. Calypso giggled and groaned, switching to emotion and emotion, until she suddenly felt the warm against her face, a familiar kind of warmth. She immediately stopped scratching herself, her blood-tipped fingers falling to her side as she silently leaned her head deeply into Mana's chest. Her eyes were vacant, and wide open as she had done so, confusion and comfort blooming within them.
Oh yeah, this person was her mama, whatever that was supposed to mean. Caly more or less went off of feelings than actual knowledge, her current state more or less a broken foundation, meant to be rebuilt and refined from it's previous state. She only became more relaxed as her mother sought to unravel the confusing hodgepodge of unidentifiable feelings and thoughts that lurked in her shattered mind, her breath gentle as she slowly put her arms around the woman's waist, a comforted sigh exiting her lips as a cohesiveness was introduced to her current mental state.
"Warm..."
She sighed gently. Calypso sounded strangely youthful in her voice as well, like a true child speaking to her mother. Within this moment, she felt comfort, she felt safe, she felt... Like she was having something she didn't get to have before. Her eyes partially shut as she felt her mother's hands touch her head, and then heard her voice, what she said, and understood.
"A treat..? What kind of treat..?"
Her voice was small and gentle, her head shuffling to be able to look up to her mother with wide amber eyes.
