Meeting In Arms [Ava/Ulv]
Sun Oct 28, 2018 2:49 pm
"..Shit."
Things were starting to go very, very.. Wrong...
Some muscled guy burst in, and immediately proved to be an issue with a relentless assault towards Ava's group. This is why she never worked in groups. This is why she was never an up-front attacker. This is why...
Ava had been brought into and "adopted" by some people whom she found strange, that called themselves the Naku Clan, after some Cannan freaks tried another attempt at pulling her off to their weird-suited, brainwashed girl parade. She didn't like working in a group, but she had some form of debt valuing; they did patch her up, look out for, and not treat her like shit for months after all. Of those months she also spent missing Ulv, having several breakdowns, being a healthy dose of concerned over what the hell was currently put in her skull, occasional sights of the weird candy she was previously addicted over (of course she ignored these), and annoyance after annoyance of the weird black hands that would come out of her nape.
Regardless, today was a day that she and some fellow "family members" would go out and wreck up a base run by those followers, in which Ava, despite being a depressed little nut, was interested in giving them a hard time. Came out with a small team but took the hindmost position she could muster. She hated working out in the open after all; she was used to stealthing it and slashing her enemies when it counted, than hit it til it died. This was the bare minimum she currently stood, this and having some weird lady for a mentor. She hated having attachments, and for a while even regretted having one with Ulv, until she heard she was safe. She couldn't help but have a bit of a heart throb for the girl's safety. She reminded her of... Someone important.
But now? The whole base wrecking mission was going up in flames. Some muscle guy burst in, Ava vaguely recognized it as something someone called a Chimera. She didn't care. She was yanking along two fellow, rather injured members out of the way of his big meaty palms as another went to attack once more, but got rather cruelly shut down with an arm thwack to the chest.
"..This is why I hate groups..." She grumbled, yanking the two hopefully conscious members to a corner, "Stay, i'll figure something out..."
She looked to the hulking fool, kept busy by the remaining combatants, trying to figure out how the hell she could attack such a big... thing, while it was provoked...

The Flame Of Hope
Artist: Hammerfall - Song: Hearts On Fire
Chimera. Little shits were are rarity for now, mostly because they were difficult to make and any Ulv made, she obliterated so hard they were not even chunks, which made reclaiming them hard. The jangle of her Devil Bonds was what made the fights more fun, as she couldn't just chop a mountain in half with these on. The power they gave to her Resolve Flame was something that Ulv found most amazing. She wanted more, and that was why they were still on. After last time, she was well aware of her limitations in the use of her strength. Fighting them would be a true tribulation, and it was those that she needed.
But it was going to be painful. She felt how strong those buggers were last time, and...admittedly she didn't really have the presence of mind to use her Cultivation, nor did she really know how strong or how much it would take to bring them down. So she'd go out now and make the head chopping motion and break the bastard. Dropping down from her position high in the sky, she landed with a great thud and made the place aware of her. And also made her aware of the place.
Cultivators were here. Shinmeiryuu from the feel of it, and Naku from the smell of it. Well, she could hardly be shown up in front of a guy who had been deemed Gold Rank in threat. There was the feel of another around that Ulv knew, another person, but that was for later. When this guy's head and body were in two separate locations. Opening up with Circling Nine Cranes, she left a nasty but all to shallow set of cuts on his upper thigh, starting the fight off well.
"Naku Clan! Cover my back" Ulv ordered, a throbbing Heavenly Mandate to ensure that nobody thought now was the time for pride.
