Arcadia (meaning): Arcadia's name is derived from an ancient demon tongue that is lost to time, transcripted by herself. Arcadia can be interpreted to as 'avatar' in the modern tongue, however in the context of her name it is closer to something along the lines of an artwork beyond mortal construction due to her supposed creation by divine figures and also taking on the aspects of her mother and father, the sky and earth.

○ God Complex

In the eyes of Arcadia the very universe revolves around her. She holds herself to the highest opinion and possesses a superiority complex that would put most narcissists to shame. For her everyone else are mere inferiors. To quickly clarify Arcadia is well aware of others being incredibly strong compared to her at times but that also comes down to her seeing them as while stronger are not the on the level of the divine. They are but false idols that need raw power to imitate the glory of a god such as she.

This indicates that to her despite not being the strongest in raw power she identifies that it is completely below her to actively pursue power. In short, their souls and existences do not equate to a drop in the ocean of value that her own is worth.

○ Unstable

Arcadia's very nature is one that is unstable. She is a liminal figure, a character that exists on both sides of a threshold. She is ultimately unable to achieve a balance of her mentality and will furthermore always drift back and forth. She cannot remain an ideal benevolent divinity without something of great evil to balance that or vice-versa. She is ultimately trapped in this cycle where she will inevitably go back and forth until that void is filled.

○ Wise

Underneath her arrogance Arcadia is not stupid, over-confident yes but to say she doesn't possess any actual intelligence would just be insulting to her. Arcadia is attributed with running a civilisation after she was summoned.

○ Caring

Arcadia's nature under the MQSREK state becomes a lot more like her mother. A caring woman who loved unconditionally and could do no wrong, she was the woman for whom the sun shined and in this state she adopts that very same nature. Don't be fooled though, Arcadia's twisted idea of caring is a lot more different.

She won't grab you and hug you like you're a baby that needs coddling. It is because she loves you that she will let you suffer, she will let you have the opportunity to grow rather than stunt that to shower you in love and protections. She would be an awful mother if she let you just sit under her protection.

○ Forgiving

You made a mistake, you screwed up. Don't worry, she forgives you. Even if you scorned her, hurt her or maybe accidently killed her. Just like Arcadia's own mother, at her death she could only smile and forgive the one she loved. Arcadia is no different when she pulls on this.

○ Wrathful

Tugging on her father's nature she is a lot less merciful. She is prone to anger and outbursts. There is no second chances or forgiveness if people scorn her. She would sooner gut a person and abuse them until they die than show a softer side.

Arcadia is a very old demon, her history is not something the common folk would be aware of. After all people of her age are hard to come by and so she is only remembered by a distinct level of mythology that relates to the origins of the Demon World and are one of the genesis myths.

Furthermore, the existence of 'Arcadia' as she is now is a Danava. She is created by a ritual of these people in an attempt to create their central deity in the flesh and so she is, in the best expression; an avatar of a figure that was subject to a great deal of worship and praise.

○ Chapter I: Genesis

At first there was nothing, an ocean of water with no land, no life and no heat. Eventually there was the formation of two, duality was created from the nothing. A sacred force in which everything followed to varying degrees to complete each other. Life completes Death, Heat completes Cold, Left completes Right. From the primordial nothing to first beings existed. The Heavens, I.O and the Land O-I. Like duality they too existed to complete each other, I.O being male and producing the heat and light that covered the beautiful O-I. The two floated together within the ocean, being held together and in love the two primal forces coexisted in mutual harmony.

Next came the miracle of birth, Arcadia. The first goddess and being with a humanoid form. She possessed the wisdom of the ages from birth, for she was in her mother's womb for a thousand years, while she was floating in the sea. When the time finally came Arcadia was born but at the cost of her mother's life, as she was the first to be born her mother was the first to die. Deciding to separate the heavens and earth to create space Arcadia created a pillar that would divide her father from his mother's corpse which rotted and broke to form various lands in the realm but also devised chains to keep them from drifting too far apart and thus it the space between the sky and earth existed.

From her father's tears came all living things, plants and animals even the first demons. Despite this though a new concept had emerged. Uniqueness. Every one of her father's tears were unique and different, unlike all the other deities which were just alter egos of concepts and forces of nature, with her mother and father just being the strongest. This race came in all shapes and forms, having identity like she did. In order to protect all living things Arcadia painted over her mother's corpse, both so her father would not have to look at it always and to separate the land of death with the living.

Arcadia took it upon herself to be the ruler of them, using her wisdom to teach them the means of architecture and farming however unlike everything else these creatures were different, within their hearts there was flaw. Jealous and envy, hate and spite. When their diverse ways made them divide into various civilisations Arcadia brought forth the knowledge of warfare and victory as she conquered the all into being one united civilisation once again but in doing so had taught the ways of war and strife to the race.

Unlike everything else within the World Arcadia was without an equal. An opposing force that brought her into a state of equilibrium, because of this lack of she was inherently unstable. At times she was the greatest of rulers that was able to make her civilisation flourish and at other times she was disappearing and being irresponsible with only a warning that she would return. Her absences encouraged advisers and people to take over in the time she was away. The nature of her character giving authority to the flawed creatures that began the end.

○ Chapter II: Palingenesis

The creation of a god, Arcadia's existence restarts here. On a grand ritual of a dying demonic civilisation is the point when they desired to save it they pulled on her concept. Mixing it with a sacrifice of massive scale is how Arcadia came into existence. The concept of a deity mixed with wishes and concepts to be given a form of existence to the people, however since it was already beyond repair Arcadia's presence did nothing, she was left to wander since that long lost time.


» Origin Name: Succession: Out with the Old, In With the New.

» Origin Power: Arcadia was born with the concept of 'successor', she is an heir in physical and conceptual form. Using the legends of old as the basis Arcadia's existence is mixed with the concept of sucession by the world. As we replace old things new things are born, better concepts to replace the old.

» Origin Abilities: Conceptual Improvement. That is the power of Arcadia, the ability to take something and improve its function. She could take a sword and reconstruct it so that it was the sharpest it could possibly be, the perfect metallurgy structure to ensure the best rigidity and flexibility. Naturally there are limitations with this, the maximum efficacy is limited by the capacity of one's potential. Because most objects have limitations the true power of her origin can only extend so far.

If she tried to make this object too 'perfect' it would break. There is a defined limit as the most efficient something could be before there is too much stress on the system. It furthermore encourages progression and change, replacement in an object once its limit has been reached to create a newer and better one.

Divine Substitute: Being that she is a danava created under the concept of replacement and inheritence, Arcadia could feasibly be used as a substitute for the Demon God Deveta if he were to die. Similar to the way a person can be a candidate for the Soul King if they meet the requirements and he were to die.

○ Summary: Arcadia's power is primarily through her abilities. She is a ruler and she behaves as such. She can fight but compared to those that actually specialise in fighting and train for the purpose she is not that. She has others do her dirty work and when she has to do it herself she doesn't compete as well. With a sword or fistfight she'd be terrible under normal conditions. She instead controls the field and tries to keep the advantage against opponents because if she doesn't simply hold the advantage of energy and raw power then she already loses one of the advantages she needs to make up for other areas.

○ Novice Fighter: Never being one to engage in primitive fighting with the fists or blades. Arcadia speaks poorly of such things. Preferring to simply toss any number of weapons rather than learn how to use it to get rid of whoever she thinks deserves her wrath. This skill is basically nonexistent with the exception of some basics that she can do.

○ Excellent Leader: While probably not the most ideal ruler with her subjects she knows how to lead and run a kingdom. Having been a sovereign as forgotten history of Demon World due to the sheer scale of her age. Arcadia was able to maintain this against threats of many areas some being economy and security. Despite being a good leader mechanically she is one that commands through fear and respect rather than try to gain love and affection from her subjects.
