The Golden Girl!
Up and down, maybe around and around, possibly to the side. Ulv followed the woman who's name still escaped her, and was not sure where she was going. Nor, as it happened, was sure clear on where she started from. Maybe there was some sort of super strange Kung-Fu-Magic stuff going that made her confused and not really know what she was doing. Probably to protect the place, she had read in the history book that Zian-Zi had to be moved to prevent it's destruction, and was then kept a secret from everyone. So, to avoid people blabbing about it when it was inevitably found again, nobody would be able to point a finger in the direction of it. And Gordo's daughter probably had a talisman or something that let her know where she was going.
But, even if she wasn't going to come help her friend deal with the people in here who might be mad she broke the Aegis, It was a hell of a place to come to anyway. Her Dantian had become weird with the explosion of self, and her Revival, while seemingly stumped and basically useless compared to what she was expecting, had done something funky. So talking to the people here would be the best way to get to know what was going on. She was an anomaly, a super-powered anomaly - she felt herself break into the third rank of the Gold Realm just by walking here, with her subtle martial meditation twist and the Golden Bridges inside her constantly giving out power to be absorbed into her Soul-tian, as Hvit crossed them every day and sent their fumes to the Great Sun in her Soul. That woman....she could hardly even recognise the fact that she was a Hollow, from everything they had done together, and everything they had been through together. Ulv theorised that because of the way Mirja and Hvit were intimately linked, the Hollow grew beyond normal boundaries, becoming something rather unique even before the near-perfect meshing of herself and Hvit. Pondering the greater mysteries of herself, and the one who came before, Ulv didn't realize she had arrived, until given a nudge.
"Well, you are certainly hard, huh? No idea what got you shining like this, but it seems to have worked out well for you, huh? Here is the place to find someone to help, if you can. I'll come see you later, if they don't rip my head off because of this" The woman held up the two halves of Aegis, and then walked off. Ulv wasn't entirely sure she'd be fine on her own, but the woman was not going to like Ulv interfering, so instead she turned her focus to what was in front of her. Zian-Zi, the Continent of Cultivation. It was truly sized for people that had super-powered movement abilities. The scale deserved the name, and there were no trams, busses, carts or other locomotion vehicles to aid you. To get from one end to the other as a normal human would take weeks. Even this reception area that she was stood in was larger than the village that she felt so at home with. But that didn't bother her, she could manage this.
Donning her Storm Regalia - something that just came to her after the Revival, and mastery of the Earth-Grasping Step - she grasped the earth, felt the world beneath her feet, marveled at it's size and majesty, and then kicked off. Speed came to her, unlike anything she had ever felt before. And while considerably slower than what Mirja could remember, she had never run like this. This, was beauty. It was, gliding along The Wind, unbound. If she could dive deep into Mirja's memories, practice, and work on regaining everything she once had, then what would behold her at the end? This intense desire, this drive, the motivation to find out what was on the other side, was strong. She could definitely understand why Mirja had almost lost her mind in the addiction to getting faster. The accomplishment, the peace and elated joy that she felt when finally becoming one of the fastest beings in existance, was dull. Muted, and grey, like opening her eyes in swamp water, to look at something a mile distant. It was the same with her feelings for Rakki. She knew who the woman was, knew that she had been a big part of her, but actual love was not forthcoming from Mirja.
The amusing thing was, the memory of why the stronger, more potent emotions were dull while the simpler emotions were vivid and clear, was something that she could almost touch. Emotions, scared her. Terrified the poor wolf girl to a point she fled from them, locked them away in her Inner World as manifestations of herself, and beings of great terror and fury.`So Ulv would simply have to make her own feelings, to build on what Mirja had made for her and grow from that. It was not something that was going to be easy, and it was going to be long, filled with danger and fraught with peril. But she would see it to the end because it was what they all deserved. Iko, and Hvit, and Beowulf, and The Beast, who needed a better name. Maybe a cute name, to ease the tension of him being a thirteen food, demonic wolf creature that looked just about to rip your head off with those teeth, and do it with all the ease of biting into a grape. And on the topic of things to be avoided, there was also whatever that woman was that she kicked down into the abyss. She should go down there one day, and see what all that was about. Maybe, even rescue her if they could get to talking. And on top of all of that, Ulv knew, resounded completely with Mirja's love for Speed. This was Ulv's feelings, not a memory of Mirja's. Since traveling along The Wind, made it so easy to think. To put one's mind in order. And who could dislike being sound of mind? Especially when you had a mind as unsound as Mirja's was.

The Golden Girl!
This place sure was, amusing. After some running around, she found the reception, a massive building carved from the underground. She got the feeling that here was somewhere she was meant t o be guided to by Gordo's daughter, but that darling took off, so she was on her own for finding her way around this continent and figuring out what she was doing in it. So she entered the building, and found the desk. It was pretty obvious, it as the massive ornamental bit of the building, huge golden dragons raising from the ground to hold a banner with some multilingual writing on it. She didn't bother reading it, it was pretty obvious what it was.
approaching the ostentatious desk, there were a dozen clerks in good looking uniforms. Ulv was always happy to see secretary uniforms. Maybe she could get Niflhiem into one of them later. She certainly needed to lighten up a bit, and dressing up for her golden glider would be the best way to get her to loosen up. Well, that and bedroom play but that was for later. Now, she was focused on the people at the desk. Arriving wordlessly, she wasn't kept waiting for long, and the woman gave her such a smile.
"Good morning. Welcome to Zian-Zi. What is your name?" The receptionist was all smiles and very friendly. Ulv gave her name, and then there was tapping of keys, which made Ulv somewhat interested. They had computers down here? How did they manage that one? More Kung-Fu Magic, probably. Or just a generator out back. Sometimes the easiest solution was the best one to go for. Occam's Razor, or whatever it was. With her mind off on a tangent, it had to be brought back by the tap of a clipboard on the desk.
"Please, fill out the form and we will enter you into our databanks"
It was quite interesting, and quite a shock, to see the whole Zian-Zi so organized and worked out. As if it had a thousand years to perfect itself.
"I heard Wulin was almost dead. I never expected this place to be so well presented" Ulv spoke, looking down the list as she did.
"While some might call it that, and while it definitely seems that way compared to the Golden Age, I can assure you that Cultivators do not die easily. As long as Zian-Zi exists, Wulin shall survive. We certainly have not been thriving with all the wars that Cultivators jumped into, but we are far from dead" the woman replied with passion and conviction. It was the first time she had broken the professional tone to speak from the heart. Ulv smiled to hear it, always glad to hear the fire of drive in a person's voice. If everyone had such deeply held convictions, the world would be a better place. Assuming those convictions were not to the detriment of all, of course.
So, to the list! Some where easy, like name and Dantian Rank - although with her current powers, that one was subject to change at a moment's notice - but age was confusing. How old was she? Cultivation enhanced the body, so a huge number like how old Mirja was wouldn't raise eyebrows. But her actual age of just a few weeks would definitely. Maybe just go for middle ground and put down like, forty? After some debate, that was put down and Ulv carried on to the rest of it. Tai Chi was ticked for her style, but the other box, Cheong Bu, caught her eye.
"Do you have many Cheong Bu cultivators here?" Ulv asked, always enjoying the concept of that one. It was interesting, and while she doesn't regret how she ended up, sometimes she wondered how life would be if her manual was designed for Cheong Bu rather than Tai Chi.
"Wulin is less than a tenth of what it used to be. And yet, Zian-Zi is as great as it has ever been. So we decided to cut back on how much Cultivation Resources we create after the vaults were swamped to overflowing with them. In their place, vast cities of learning were constructed, from the teachings of whoever decided to come and offer. We have massive libraries of information from all four of the major styles, and a living teacher is not something that would be impossible to find. I am sure there are a few Third Grade Cheong Bu cultivators around. We have some basic books stored here, which you re free to read while we look over your background and decide if we should create you a talisman or not" The professional tone of voice was back, but with a hint of infomercial tone, as if she was reciting from memory rather than actually talking. To be able to read an entire library of Cultivation, to talk to people who had lived in other parts of Wulin, it would be fantastic. She couldn't wait for this talisman thing to be done, so quickly filled in the remainder. Stumbling a little when it asked for her teacher. While she was pretty Ga-ryu, Ci had helped her out a tremendous deal, so Ulv put her down and handed it in.
The woman read over the writing, and then her eyes bulged a little, and she flicked them towards Ulv.
"You've been Cultivating less than a year?! Queen Lan Tsu is a formidable teacher and a fantastic Alchemist, but even still it should take you a lot longer to hit the third rank of Gold Realm" The receptionist looked at Ulv, as if studying her. As if, somewhat amazed and expecting her to explode into Yu-Shan-y radiance at any moment.
"Ahh, I had a strong soul way back when. It enhanced my cultivation considerably. I also got into a lot of high scale fights, and got my hands on a Man Of Magma. And now, well I am just sorta a cultivation blob, so it's going pretty quickly" Ulv tried to explain, grinning awkwardly. What would people think if she hit Black Gold? Or even Yu-Shan? Or go even further beyond, where that possible?
The woman took Ulv's explainations, nodded, and then left to go do smart stuff. Leaving Ulv to mill about while that stuff happened. So she did, and within a minute, somebody has shot at her. She heard the click of the trigger, the bang of the bullet, and could feel the disturbance in The Wind as the bullet rushed towards her.
Well, she had had worse greetings, at least....

The Golden Girl!
Without thought, Ulv moved her body so the round would miss her. While a great deal of her power was still locked up in her Inner World, the inheritance she had gotten from the Wolf was enough that her body was so pristinely tuned she knew exactly what she was doing with it. In fact, it went beyond knowing, and was something that was an intrinsic part of who she was. It operated faster than thought. And it was glorious. When the bullet past, Ulv merely smiled to herself, and used her Earth-Grasping Step to appear in front of the man. She debated punching him for a moment, but then decided to just let him explain himself.
"Wow, you're fast" came the first exclaimation, before he put his guns away, and with a grin, stuck out his hand. ""Leoric Mains! I seek to follow our glorious ancestor Futsunushi on the road to create my own style! It will be, Schuss der Länge!". One could hardly fault his enthusiasm, but could certainly fault his firing at random people.
"And you just shoot new people to practice?" Ulv asked, with a cocked eyebrow.
"Ack, they wouldn't have hurt you anyway. My guns are Gold-Rank Gestalt Soulforged. They obey my every whim! It was more a greeting to see how well you dealt with it. And you dealt with it magnificently, I am proud to say. Not every Gold Realm Cultivator can react that fast."
Ulv stared for a few moments, thinking that there were better ways to say hi than fire a gun at them, regardless of how much control you had over the bullet.
"Our honoured ancestor was a genius, made his own Cultivation Technique while in some tiny village in Mongolia. And was in the Realm Of Gods when he started work on Shinmeiryuu. You've got a ways to go, Leoric. I'll see you again in a few decades, you might be in the high Black Gold realm then" she told him, giving him a grin and then flitting away while he spluttered. Wanting to make an entirely new style was commendable, but also incredibly difficult. Maybe he would drop the idea some day, or maybe he really would push on with fire in his soul and hope abound.
Or maybe he would die. Who could tell, with life the way it was. For her part, Ulv head off in search of the library, hoping to find a few good books on Cheong Bu.It was found eventually, but this small three-stack room was sparsely populated, only with the lower level people who had just joined Wulin, were found here. Studying the basics and hoping to glean knowledge from the elders. Exactly what Ulv was going to do, now she thought about it. So she looked about, grabbed a few Cheong Bu books, and started reading them. They were interesting, and Ulv got engrossed in them, learning about the new methods of Cheong Bu. It seemed, as if they took the art of cycling a Dantian and made the whole thing into beauty. Whoever managed to do this was amazing. Ulv had never thought beyond the usual cycling, but someone did and someone did very well. It described the Cheong Bu Dantian, which was different enough from Tai Chi to not mesh perfectly. It would need some work before she could use it, but maybe she could take what she learned here and do her own thing instead of trying to pluck out Cheong Bu direct from the book?
Finishing the book, and looking around the shelves she could see for anything else that might be interesting, she spotted one book, and ht raised an eyebrow.
It's spine just had a single word. 'Onmyōdō'. The Way of Yin and Yang. What had that got to do with Tai Chi, was the question, so she got up, and plucked it from the shelf, opening it to start reading. Here, she read about the ancient art of Onmyo Magic, the use of Dantian-crafted Talismans to enhance the body. She had never heard of it before, never seen an Onmyo Mage, and didn't even know such a thing existed. So, it must have been something lost in the Sundering. The sudden vaccum, with Aang Feng's disappearance, caused Wulin to tear itself apart as evil men fought those still loyal to the Spiritual Lords. Even the four remaining lords together did not inspire such control as Aang Feng alone, and that led to the great decline of Wulin. And this, Onmyodo, was one of the things that had been lost to the general public. But, lost no longer. In Ulv's hands, she would make sure that this would regain it's rightful place. Plus, it looked really interesting and Ulv wanted to see how far she could carry it. With her new powers, there was nothing in the way of her and Cultivation, so everything was good.
The basics that the book detailed were devoured by her. It was comparable with all Dantian, since the use of Onmyodo Magic was first to create a new form of energy. Once Onmyouji was formed, it took root in it's own house in the Dantian, and was used to create the talismans that formed the basis of Onmyodo Magic. Looking inside her after she had finished the book, Ulv felt the twin-star Dantian, and then gave it a spin. The Shen coming off it was quite strong these days. The art of turning this into Onmyouji was a complex one, and many hours passed in experimentation. She didn't manage to turn even a sliver into it before somene came up to her, and gave her a small slip of paper. She could feel it was made from the Soul, and as soon as she touched it, it absorbed into her body. This, was quite literally her ticket back into Zian-Zi if she ever left.
"Thanks" Ulv told the woman, who bowed politely and then left.
Welp, there was no point hanging around anymore, trying to do something this hard. It was going to be the work of days, maybe weeks. So instead of spending all of them huddled up in a boring library, she set out into Zian-Zi proper, to stretch her legs, and to...probably go find the big library, actually. Maybe there were more Onmyodo books, or more Cheong Bu books, or even a nerd to talk to directly.

The Golden Girl!
Ulv realized, as she was running through Zian-Zi, that they were not kidding with the name. Even at the peak of speed, way back when Mirja had her apical Mastery over her speed, it would take her some time to cross this place. And with Ulv less than a quarter of what Mirja could put out, there was a long time to sit and ponder the deeper mysteries of running. How hard she could push herself was one thing. While The Wind certainly kept an eye on her to make sure it wasn't to hard, knowing the upper limit was always a good thing for if she needed to hit it in a hurry.
Her max was pretty fast indeed, and not quite as exhausting as she thought due to Arms Of The Earth taking the brunt of the heavy lifting. Plus her body absorbed fatigue toxins at a fantastic rate, and cycled them brilliantly, keeping her able to operate at peak capacity for a long time. That was just peak though, not the insane super-maximum overpeak that Mirja could push to and hit dangerous levels of speed. But then, Arms of the Earth was stronger than Earth-Defying Array, so she would be more durable.
Slowing herself down, she came to realize that, if Mirja had the same Reiryoku as Ulv did right now, then the wolf woman would have been torn apart. A fight with even worse results than that second clash with the Atlas Project. She just needed to recoer the Reiryoku, that had exploded across her Inner World, scattering everywhere, and everywhere was not somewhere she had control over. She would have to visit them, and secure their alligance before she could manage to get back to where she was, a long time ago.
Eventually, after some running, she came across a marketplace. It was truly magnificent in size, she saw it coming from a long way off, despite how fast she was moving. So she was able to slow herself and not blow over the stalls as she passed. Here, a thousand people hawked their wares, calling for this and that. While some sold cultivation techniques, other sold resources, one stall had Natural Oddities, and another had strange crystals she had no idea about. Walking over to inspect them, she was accosted by the man as soon as she did. A rapid fire sales pitch had her apparently taking on a courier's job in exchange for the crystal in her hand she didn't even really want. Fortunately, she was saved from having to go deliver a sack of something, when a woman handed him the money for the crystal in Ulv's hands.
Still kinda dazed from the man, she looked up, and it took a few seconds to recognise Ci. The twinkle in Ci's eyes made it clear that, however she managed it, Ci knew exactly who she was looking at. And it as quite the twinkle that made Ulv question exactly how deep the woman's eyes penetrated.
"Ci!" Ulv let out a sudden exclaim and snaffled the woman in a hug, giggling to herself as she did. It was nice to see her friend again.
"Mmm, hello little Wolf. It's good to see you here. Finally getting involved with the culture proper, hmm?" Ci asked. Ulv just turned a slight shade of red and let Ci lead them away to a nice cafe-without-walls.
"I helped a friend break The Aegis and now she wants me to be here so she can drag me in if she needs to" Ulv admitted. Ci had this stare, like a mother that knew exactly what you had gotten up too and was just waiting for you to tell her. It made Ulv very nervous and want to spill everything, all at once. It seemed her show wasn't entirely true, since Ci did raise an eyebrow at the breaking of Aegis.
"Leave you alone for five minutes and you break one of only three shields ever made in Wulin. Honestly...." Ci shook her head, but there was a slight smile behind that.
"So, what is this you just bought me?" Ulv looked at it, and tried to work it out. There was one theory, but....
"Lingshi. Fourth grade, I guess he pegged you as someone without a lot of money. Kind of useless to you, but I'll take it off your hands, I've got experiments to do with that stuff" Ci was mysterious, and forever active, it seemed. So Ulv just gave her the stone. It was better in her hands, after all. "Little Ceal has vanished, and with her, my test subject. All well, I guess, I needed a more powerful one to see how it holds up anyway. I'll give you some money to wander about this place if you test-bunny for me. And I'll give you a lot of money if you run an errand for me" Ci crooked her finger for Ulv to follow, which she did, and let the woman talk some more about this errand. "82nd moon came about a while ago, and so something that appears on that night every year, has appeared. Give a few days to find out exactly where it appeared, and teams are gathering to collect it. I want you to be one of them. But I will emphasise now, it is not dramatically important. It will be around next year. So don't get yourself in over your head getting it for me, ok? If there is too much competition, pull out and come back. As big and rough as you are, facing down a half-dozen Golds lead by a bottom-rank Black Gold is not something you'll come back from intact"
And with that lecture out of the way, they left the marketplace, and went to a small, secluded cave. Ulv had trouble keeping up with Ci's movement techniques, even with the guidence of The Wind. Clearly, the gulf of Gold and Black Gold was one of great potency, especially when you were the Queen of Wulin, the best in the whole world. Mirja of Old would have kept pace easily, maybe even outpaced Ci at this rate, but for Ulv, it was all she could do just to not be left in the dust. The cave, once they arrived, looked to be a nice little home, with beds and a stove and a tattoo chair. Maybe she had more subjects. But that was for later, Ulv simply went up to the chair, stripped naked - never shy of her body, as rippled and beautiful as it was - and got on the chair. Some prodding and poking followed, Ci muttering to herself about what needle she was going to use, and then got down to it.
The pain of getting a tattoo wasn't something Ulv couldn't handle, and so she sort of drifted off in a half-sleep until woken up. Looking at it in the mirror, it was quite the beauty. Thanking Ci, getting the location of where she needed to go, and getting dressed, Ulv took off again, to go do this errand. Besides, she had always wanted to go see Mount Everest.

The Golden Girl!
The Talisman, it seemed, didn't stop her confusion. Just, sort of directed here where she needed to go. Took her on auto-pilot. Didn't even give her directions, because she was heading to Everest before she realised she knew where she was going again. T'was a strange Array to be sure. But a huge one, and a powerful one. To cover an entire continent-sized cavern like Zian-Zi. Aang Feng sure was scary. She could see how he managed to keep a whole world of supercharge warrior types polite and friendly by his mere presence somewhere in said world. Which added to the question of why he left. Surely, a man that great would have the foresight to know that the world was going to explode if he ever left it. And yet left it he did. Ulv thought as she ran, and ran as she thought, but couldn't come up with a reason. And besides, soon she was given a reason to focus on something much different.
Approaching Everest, she slowed down as she could sense people, Cultivators. Apparently the teams that Ci had told her about. But there was also the sound of fighting, the smell of blood, and the swoosh of Chinooks. She wondered what kind of Cultivator came by Chinook, but was dissuaded of that theory, as she was nearly taken out by a Troll. One of Caanan's old toys. She stopped it's fight, made sure it was dead, and then hurried towards the origin point. If they were here, then that was not good. Whatever those scavengers wanted, Ulv needed to stop! And, despite all odds, despite everything Mirja had done to them to set them back, when she arrived, she saw a warzone. They were able to hit a camp of Cultivators, and not get torn apart.
Not saying there weren't losses. Dozens of their Perfectus foot-soldiers were dead, and adding in that Troll she had killed, there were two others and a large man. An Atlas!. Memories flooded her mind of the last fight she had with one of them, at the same time as she activated her Tulpa and rushed it with a shriek. Her fist came low, and the Atlas didn't turn fast enough to blow her, so she shattered it's ribs. With the guard down, his current opponent was suddenly reinforced with another cultivator, and the two of them struck with palm strikes in the same location. Despite her fear, fury, and Hope, Ulv was in control of her mind, ultimately. And she knew what that strike was. Taiju Twin Snake Palm. These two, were Taiju Snake Style practitioners.
The Whole World didn't run off one variation of the four main styles. Even back in the Golden Age, there were different schools, from people wanting to express themselves differently, or from people being too out of the way to get formal training in the mainstream. So other people, made other things. The World Snake, Jormun Gandr - a man who did not like Blood Fists, as he was born with a sense of aesthetics that disagreed with it's brutal and simplistic approach - created Taiju Snake Style instead. It focused Meln to the hands, and then struck outwards, using the enhanced palms or fingers to hit nerves and cause intense pain, as if bitten by a poisonous snake. Taiju Twin Snake Palm was one of the most powerful techniques, requiring two practitioners to use, it would cripple and often obliterate the point it struck, with sometimes fatal results.
The Atlas, did not disappoint. He let out a gurgled roar, staggered, vomited blood, and collapsed, dying in the snow. Ulv, seeing him die, turned to the approaching helicopters, and gathered The Wind around her hands. With that, she enacted Shrieking Mountain Wind, blasting such a mighty billet of wind that it smashed the Chinook upside down. And probably knocked out the pilot as well, from the way the aircraft made no attempt to recover, just plummeted to the ground and exploded, fuel tanks rupturing dramatically. While it was cool, there was the second helicopter to deal with. And a fool trying to attack her, but he was merely Perfectus, so he got his arm ripped off and beataen to death with it.
"HA! What a brilliant move!" a man was by Ulv's side, with a grin as more reinforcements were coming. A woman stood with a more serious, and intense expression, but said nothing."I'm Hazu, this is Noctis Gandr, we are of the Taiju Snake Style school! I thank you for your help, sister!" He was loud, he was Boisterous, and he was one who enjoyed the ideal that all Cultivators were Family. Just how Ulv liked her Cultivators.
"Save the thanks for after we get out of this mess. I feel, we are going to need all the help we can get" Ulv replied, looking as the 'chopper stopped, and it's people jumped out. Three women, in shiny bodysuits landed, and then two more large Atlas. The bodysuits looked like the Eve Bodysuits, but different, as did the women themselves. They had no hoods, and their eyes were dull and glazed. Like they had seen horrors, and then had that knowledge wiped away. She couldn't underestimate them for a second, even if they did look broken.
And then, finally the last man dropped down. This man, was broad shouldered, tall and muscular, much like a Troll but more orderly and less grotesque. It was clear that he was the leader from the way he held himself. He looked to the gathered opposition, and then smiled when he saw Ulv.
"Ahh, Echidna! It is wonderful to see you here. Come, come, see the fruits of your loins. While not directly, it is your existence that gives us life! Except, the Atlas. The Atlas aren't your children" . Ulv rocked back on her heels, as if struck. She had heard about what was going to happen to her if she remained captured. She was designed to give birth to him, and others as well. How they managed to get their hands on her genetic data, she didn't know. The lab that she was in was left a ruined mess, but they had to have managed it somehow. Ulv was sharply, unbiddenly reminded of their plan. She was going to be the Mother of Monsters, and this man in front of her....he was the King Of Monsters. Typhoon Project!

The Golden Girl!
While staring, terrified at the arrival of this creature, she was kicked in the gut, and the face. Her skin hardened in response to the impact, but it was still strong enough to send her reeling back. And they pressed the attack before a wordless shout from the big man made them stop. Didn't make the Atlas stop, charging into the two Taiju Snake practitioners. Bad move, since they were incredibly skilled, brilliantly coordinated, and powerful cultivators. But that fight, she couldn't count on them for any support in this fight. And from the strength of the kicks, she was going to need support.
"Sorry, about that. The Scylla Project makes them rather enthusiastic. A change from Eve's hesitence. Chalk it up to the best conditioning. But occasionally, too enthusiastic. I them to fight you as-" Typhoon Project was cut off in his monologue, as Ulv moved with blinding speed and sulpher yellow eyes. The first Scylla had her windpipe crushed and part of her chest torn apart by a super-sonic lariat. The second, while she was moving backwards out of the way, got her jaw ripped off with a punch, and the followup punch to the roof of her mouth snapped her neck. A brutal disposing of their new and improved Eve Projects.
"Huh. Dam. Note to self, don't show boat so much, jt gets Scylla killed" Typhoon said, and then shrugged. "I wasn't planning on joining the fight yet, but I guess it's a none-issue while those two are tied up with the Atlas" Typhoon then came at her. A Slow walk, with intense confidence and a powerful stare that made Ulv feel suppressed. Her Tulpa fought it a bit, and won, but it didn't get rid of the memories of what him simply walking caused her to feel. This guy, was going to be really dangerous. Arriving in Ulv's personal space, the punch was sudden and incredibly fast, but Ulv moved just as fast, deflecting it and launching one of her own, that hit an elbow block. She then brought up her leg to block a kick, slid backwards, and lept in the air, grasping the momentum to throw a heavy punch at his head, which he moved out of the way of, and into the way of the second fist, for which the first had been a feint.
A swift, blinding exchange of attacks, leaving the onlookers dazzled - not that there were many onlookers, most were dead, dying, or busy fighting their own fights - and Typhoon with an impressed smile. The second punch was too fast, thrown through instinct more than plan, and she hadn't put her body behind it, resulting it the blow not even breaking his nose. The two combatants looked at each other for a moment, and then Typhoon lashed out a kick to Ulv's guts, kneeling and leaning forward to extend it's range and drop the kick suddenly, slipping past Ulv's guard and smashing into her cervix. The force behind his foot was tremendous, and while her body hardened in response, it was basically useless. However they managed to make him, his physical might was insane. As she fell forward from the kick, a knee smashed her in her face, throwing her backwards. She felt like she was going to hit the ground, and that would be the end of her, but her arms extended and she cartwheeled backwards, leaning to one side to avoid his progressing roundhouse, and then snapping back up with a cross to his exposed side.
Typhoon, not one to lack Kinetic Sense or instinct, crumbled and fell backwards, lessening the blow to a slight tap, and recovering several feet away from Ulv. Too far for even an extended kick, without movement. And that was the end of the second clash. One that had gone a lot worse for Ulv than the first. Her head was ringing, her vision blurred, her cervix was screaming in pain, blood was pouring from her shattered nose, and she was feeling like she was going to pass out any moment.
'I am really glad we don't wear a mask anymore. That knee would have hurt like a bitch' Hvit exclaimed, cringing a little. And then, giving a smile anyway. 'so I have been messing about with your Dantian, try this if you get a chance to hit him' Hvit imparted her knowledge to Ulv, and it was good knowledge. That knowledge also made her think of a good way to get the upper hand in this fight.
Keeping her head together with sheer tenacity, she felt the hollow reiatsu in her body, grasped it, and then charged and fired a bala at Typhoon. Rushing forwards, while charging a Cero in her left hand, Typhoon wasn't entirely sure what to do with the Bala, and ended up getting hit by it. Firing off her Cero, however, did not manage to hit him, as the Bala wasn't strong enough to do anything more than sting, and he leaped up into the air, avoiding it completely. Exactly, what Ulv needed. Grasping the Earth, she shot up into the sky like a reverse meteorite, sinking her right hand into his gut, and using the power that Hvit had suggested.
The explosion of Shen rumbled through the mountain, like thunder from the Heavens itself. With her momentum and the incredible Tai Chi technique, Typhoon lost his lunch, and was launched into the sky. Creating a reiatsu platform to stand on, and then kicked off with her Earth-Grasping Step, arriving above her and burning all her power into a Wulin-Splitting Legs, smashing him in the back, and sending him crashing back to the ground. Much like a reverse reverse meteorite. Or, a meteorite. Her head was still a bit fuzzy. But it wasn't fuzzy enough to miss what was coming, in the wake of her powers being released like this. First the thunderous roar set it in motion, then Typhoon crashing into the ground and sending seismic shocks through the ground kicked it all off. Note to self, never fight at the foot of the largest mountain in the world, when it is still covered in Winter's Snow.

Damn Nature, you Scary. That was the thought Ulv had while watching the hundred million ton avalanche cascade down the mountain. So fast as well, raging down Everest and sweeping away the camp that had been set up at it's base. Nothing remained, all the corpses, all the tents, and all the vehicles of the arriving Cannanites were taken out, smashed and covered with a blanket of ice and snow. From her vantage point on the Reiatsu platform, Ulv could see everything. The Taiju Snake cultivators managed to get away just in time, with a few other people joining them from the camp. Probably the non-combatant Alchemists. Or even the Sherpa guide. Just because Cultivators were super people, didn't mean they knew how to climb mountains and not freeze to death in the process. Here was hoping that the hundred million tons of avalanche was enough to deal with the wounded Typhoon Project. But, a niggling feeling as she deactivated the Vizard Morph, told her that he would be back, and she needed to prepare for that. This Reiatsu platform was sturdy, so she leaned back and waited for the Avalanche to finish, which was also good time for her head to stop ringing. She took the proper pose, and began to cultivate Shen back into her Dantian. She needed all the power she could get, as she burned it dry.
Time passed, and as sudden as the roar of the mountain started, it stopped. Greeted sometime later by silence, the cessation of the noise from the Avalanche, and the return of peace, Ulv got back up, and dropped to the ground. It was unstable ground, being fresh powder so recently disturbed, but there was something she needed to get. It took a while to dig out, and she couldn't even use the camp as reference, since that had been blown away in it's entirety. But she did eventually find the box she was looking for. Stuck to the ground with Shen, a simple avalanche wasn't enough to make it move, allowing her to deactivate the Shen, and pick the box up. With it in her hands, she took a deep breath, and cast her senses to Everest. T'was a huge place, but she was looking for something that wasn't subtle. And when she touched on it, her spiritual senses recoiled, like getting a crisp stuck in a gap recently left by a tooth. As much as it made the hairs on her arms stand on end, and filled her body with goose-bumps, it was what she was looking for, and now she knew where it was. So she didn't need a guide, not with the utility of Earth-Grasping Step.
The mile-wide tree was not difficult to spot from the air, when she knew where it was. Her enhanced eyes scanned it and found the crane, recoiling from it's sight as soon as she laid eyes on it. Dam thing was not what she wanted to spend her day looking at, so rushed in to get it. Opening the box, and then the box within the box, and grabbing the special gloves that were inside that second box, she reached up, suppressing fear and the instinct to flee, and picked the crane up, putting it in the box, and then covering the box with the second box. Once, she thought there was far to much ceremony involved in this crane. But now, she knew it was exactly what it deserved. There was only one problem left now. But that problem wasn't coming to her immediately, so she left the mountain, got a good distance away from it with her Earth-Grasping Step, then stopped to Cultivate some more. As much Shen as she could get in the time she had, was her goal. To that end, she popped the only Elixer she had, and focused.
The gem in her Dantian, along with the tattoo, certainly lent themselves well to her cultivation. She could feel the tattoo roiling and granting a lot more power than would be normal, and the gem took it's share and returned with interest as well. Added to the Twin Soul nature of it, and Hvit gathering from the bridges of gold, Ulv was destined for a great enhancement. But the blow from the Typhoon seemed to have shook more than her brain. Her Dantian was hazy, and she couldn't focus on what rank or Realm it was. Still, that was not an issue, she would just accept whatever was given and get to fighting this guardian when it appeared.
And then it arrived. heavy footfalls, far to heavy to be a human, or even a Troll. So she opened her eyes, to see a golem of snow and rock. Animated by the power of the Crane, to protect it. How, was she going to break this thing? She sprung up and kicked a knee, being rewarded with a 'poof' of powder and rock fragments, but no actual damage. Then the creature swung, fast and hard, taking the wounded Ulv off her feet. It was hard to battle when her body felt like lead. So, deciding she was going to feel like crap at the end of this anyway, she decided to feel like crap with a purpose. The timing would have to be flawless, since she had maybe a quarter of a second with it, but she could do this. Waiting for the beast to arrive, she took the Female Dragon Fist stance, and then lashed out, impacting the beast's lower chest. And just as she impacted, she activated Breaching Heavens Gate.
The Monster, exploded, snow and rock flying everywhere, impacting trees and cracking against the ground. It didn't get back up, or reform, or try anything else. Which was good, because Ulv had exhausted herself beyond the point of consciousness. Apparently, she could do that with her Dantian. Who knew?

The Golden Girl!
Ulv woke up a long time later. Better rested, better healed, and all-around recovered from her ordeal. So she got up, stretched, tested the old body out for a bit, and then set off on a run again. She was unsure when she began to be unsure about where she was going, but found herself in Zian-Zi before she knew it. Bloody Array was murder for that. Fun at parties, I guess, but when you were actually trying to find your way about the place, it could only be said that Aang Feng was laughing at you subtly. Still, she was here again, and here, was were Ci was. So Ulv took a quick break to get her breath back, and then set off again.
Following more her senses and the ability to hone in on the most powerful Tai Chi energy signature in Zian-Zi, and ran towards it. Ci was still around in her cave, doing experiment stuff as she said she was doing with the Lingshi. Once Ulv arrived, and gave her the box, Ci immediately unpacked it, and drained the energy out of it, having the crane statue dissolve into dust a few seconds later. The feel of divine might erupted from Ci, and Ulv let out a broad grin.
"Yu-Shan. That, is truly impressive, Ci. Congratulations, for being the first active Yu-Shan cultivator in several centuries" Ulv's tone was one of exorbiant elation. Which was different to Ci's cool acceptance. She went back to her alchemy kit, and whipped up an Qi Elixer.
"Qi Alchemy is a complex art. And difficult to master. it is only because of the state of Wulin that I even decided to become a Qi Alchemist myself, rather than focus entirely on my Cultivation. Thus, there has never been a Yu-Shan Alchemist before. And I can feel that it has lifted me to a rank higher than Flower. I don't know what it is called, but it is certainly a potent rank" she then tossed the pill to Ulv, and grinned. "First Yu-Shan made Elixer ever, treat it well" Ci then gathered the rest of the payment, monetary wise, and ever-so-politely told Ulv to leave so she could work on her new experiments for her Realm. Ulv got the hint, laughing softly and congratulating her once more, before returning to the marketplace. Here, she walked past a man tending to an orchid, and he called out to her.
"Most fine and fair of ladies! I would gift a Blood of Giants Affrechia to say I have fought such beauty!" He exclaimed. Ulv smiled to herself, the man was certainly charming. And it wasn't flattery either. The passion and conviction in his eyes told her that it was something he believed completely. Honorable, Boisterous, and with intense confidence in themselves. Seemed to be how all Blood Fists were, as Master Gundr was exactly the same.
"Then I would be honored to fight with you, Brother" She made the classical bow that she had seen around town, and was led to a sparring room. The two bowed to each other, since Wulin demanded respect, and then the fight began. The Blood Fist Fighter was a strong man, with skilled blows, but they were simple. Even as quick and well-honed as they were, there was an obvious pattern that he had seemingly not polished out. It made him easy to avoid and also made Ulv feel like she was picking on a child. His Dantian was Blood Fists, so she couldn't sense him very well, just that he had a decent amount of power.
After humoring him for a little while, she slipped through his guard and delivered a strong Three Thunder Fist to his gut. It winded him, and after Ulv gave him the time to recover, he thought for a few moments, and then surrendered.
"Strength in line with such beauty. A magnificent thing to see! Ohh, I'm gonna be feeling that one for a while. There is a dojo in Levanger, where I am from. Come visit some time, our Master would love to cross fists with one such as you!" he exclaimed, his broad grin and elated posture despite the pain he was feeling was something good to see. Ulv was tired, of people being angry or hurt, or dead, when she fought them.
Leaving the dojo, getting the promised apple, and heading back into the marketplace, Ulv was again swiftly accosted by a woman who launched herself at the Golden Girl. Ulv stopped walking, leaned back, and grabbed her by her foot as she soared past.
"Hey. You know, I never actually got your name" Ulv said, to Gordo's daughter. Taking the missed glomp and upside-down dangle well, she grinned.
"Nenatalev. Most people call me Nena" the woman replied. "And I got into a load of trouble for breaking Aegis. Take me on retail therapy~!" she exclaimed, hugging Ulv's leg, and letting out a yelp when dropped, but recovering nicely and getting to her feet. Ulv gestured with her head, and Nena fell in happily. Something had happened, something soothing and cathartic for Nena. Despite the trouble she got into, she was doing much better than the last time they had met.
But still, there was much need for a soothing rest, so eventually she found a hot springs, and thumbed it.
"Ohh, I could do with a soak in a pool like that. My Cultivation needs to be better, after all. More people to punch, more treasures to find" Nena nodded, and headed in without waiting for Ulv.
"Hot springs help with your Cultivation?" Ulv asked. It sounded pretty crazy to her. It was just water at the end of the day"
"I'll explain when we are inside and soaking in the water~!"

it was a good call, choosing to soak in the water before talking. While incredibly expensive to get a few hours in there, the water was divine! It was like getting massaged everywhere at once. Whatever they did to the water, she loved. Her cultivation resources were in a waterproof pouch they had given her, since she wanted to keep them with her. More expensive than anything, that pill, and the apple wasn't anything to sneeze at either.
"So yea. Let's have a lesson. The World is saturated in Natural Qi. Not something you can really feel most of the time, but it is there anyway. No Natural Jing or Natural Shen, but I digress. Large currents of this Natural Qi are spread across Dragon Lines, and sometimes these Dragon Lines intersect. At these points, the Qi gathers and collects, to a point you can absorb it with your Cultivation. Easier if there is something you can immerse yourself in, like a pool, but doesn't have to be. Now, there is method for altering these Dragon Lines, making them intersect where you want rather than relying on nature. Which is what these pools are. Zian-Zi's Dragon Lines are all intersecting here. While doing Dragon Lines is not hard, you need quite the broad expanse of land to make them worth it, and few people have the control over such broad a land to do it. There are a few personal Dragon Line Pools, but Zian-Zi is continental, so they have the best. If one could alter the Dragon Lines of another continent, it would be very good for them, but nobody has yet managed to get control of an entire continent that they want to stay in. Plus, Dragon Lines degrade over time and you have to do upkeep. Upkeep over an entire continent, is hard and isn't really worth it" Nena finished her lecture and looked over to Ulv, who seemed a bit asleep. So she flicked the woman with some water, and giggled when she flailed.
"Yea! I'm awake. Right, yea. Sorry. Uhh, been a tiring week" She muttered, before going over what she had been told. Dragon Lines, huh? Maybe she could play about with them in Africa....But also, they helped her Cultivation. So, she took out the pill and the apple, and ate them both. Either she'd die from overdose, or she'd get swoll af. Fortunately, her new Dantian was on the very durable side, and so she didn't immediately die. "As good as it feels to just linger, I'm gonna Cultivate. See you in a few hours" Ulv said, splashing Nena back and then relaxing and focusing on her Stoic Meditation. The back tattoo lit up again, and it felt warm. Uncomfortably warm, actually. Nothing she couldn't handle, but still. Her Dantian was still blurry, and she had no idea what she was doing, but could feel the pill and apple going to work. The power she drew into her Dantian was incredible. With this, she could get somewhere big, and fast.
So caught up in what she was doing, she didn't even notice the person approaching until they called out that time was up. It was a shame, but she didn't argue, and got out, drying off and carousing around the marketplace with Nena. But, all good things must come to an end, and eventually Nena left Ulv to do her job, so Ulv left Zian-Zi as well. She'd come back here some time. Even if she was entirely unsure where it was, it was fun
