Midori Hayashi
Captain of the Second Division
It had been a while since the Captains had come together and as the meeting went on, Midori became more at ease. She originally did not want to be here because she had other things to attend to. However, this was less painful than she thought. A little dull, but otherwise okay. It didn't take her long to notice Zeda staring at her. Her eyes met with his and stayed there. Her expression stayed dull, but since she was aware of his reputation, she shook her chest back and forth to make them jiggle and to get a rise out of him. And until he looked away, she didn't break eye contact. Soon, her jiggly joke came back to bite her in the ass as she was just volunteered for something. She tuned herself back in and realized what she had been volunteered for.
"There's another you should think on for that project... I actually believe she's in your Division as well. Kirino Asashima. She's not only gifted in kido, but specializes in sealing, as does most of her family." Midori mentioned to Zeda before turning to her green haired peer. Murasaki brought up some good points, but Midori disagreed. She thought on it for a moment and then looked at nothing in particular as she explained. "I can't say giving them training would be the best thing. Like in the World of the Living, when humans are in trouble they rely on police. What happens there when civilians are given weapons? I think a better strategy is to employ a greater force out there. Don't just make them feel protected, but prove it. Use some of our resources to strengthen their buildings and make the place seem like less of a slum. Do something to create jobs out there, contractors, gardeners, teachers for the children... Right now, they live dull lives day by day, filled with nothing to strive for... Crime and violence is really the only thing they've got."
With nothing else to say on the matters that had been presented, yet, Midori fell silent. She closed her eyes and kept her arms crossed along her chest, choosing to only listen to the group until she felt something needed saying. Her every day life consisted of very different things than the rest of her fellow Captains. She deals with injuries, colds, and mental break downs. It was hard for her to feel invested in the more mechanical side of the Gotei United.
