I. Basic Information

» Name: Yuzu Kurosaki
» Titles: N/A
» Age (biological): 430
» Age (appears): 20
» Height: 5'8" ft
» Gender: Female

» Affiliation/Rank: N/A

» Physical Appearance Description:

Yuzu would grow up to be a very beautiful and charming young lady. At a height of 5’8” feet, she managed to get the good genes of both of her parents, even though her height didn’t show up until much later during her puberty. Much like her late mother, the girl possessed the same very eyes, and coincidentally enough, she would keep her hair short just as her loving mother had when she was around her age. As such, her hair seems to reach to just above her shoulders. Besides simply finding it cute, she noticed that it was a lot less work, and also less of a hassle when she had to run around or be forced into combat. Her outfit was also very relaxed for the most part. Not strictly following the Quincy standard clothes nor any sort of uniform for that manner, she simply stuck to what she liked and what felt comfortable. Sometimes it was regular clothes, though she did favor the look of the cute skirt and sailor like tops. Make no mistake however, she did own a pair of Quincy uniforms, she just never wore them. They were more a legacy and ceremonial attire instead of something she’d actually use out of her own accord.

II. Personality Traits

» Personality:

The girl had always displayed a very calm and collected demeanor. Of course, that was just aside from the times where she was made to be nervous or fidgety out of embarrassment from whatever reason. For the most part, Yuzu was a highly peaceful individual, trying her best to find alternatives to violence if there were any. After all, she was in the business of taking care of people and healing them, it didn’t make sense that’d she would push for things that would get others hurt. However, with time, she understood that there were times when one needed to fight. Despite her own apprehension to it, she’s not afraid to jump into the fray and fight to her fullest if it means standing up for and defending the innocent. She has certainly killed before, but it has always been for the safety and well being of others. When in a large group, her more nurturing and caring side usually shines through with utmost ease. Instead of trying to lead the party or be the force that deals the blows, she prefers to remain at its center or behind, making sure everyone else is well kept and healthy. When needed however, she’s quick and powerful enough to step in, and be the defendant and protector she always wished she could be.

III. Character History

» History

Like Mother, Like Daughter

The youngest child of Masaki and Ishin, Yuzu, was born to a loving household under the care of a great parents and siblings. From an early age, the girl showed significant differences in her behavior in comparison to her parents and her siblings. Most members of the family were known to be rambunctious and rather outspoken. Ichigo was able to make friends rather easily, and he always stood up for his friends, without being afraid of anything. Karin had become rather tomboyish as well. Despite what her hard headed sister liked to believe, Karin was actually very fond of her father, and admired him; something she would hardly ever admit. The only two that acted differently were Masaki and Yuzu. It was obvious she had taken more to her mother in regards to physical appearance than her father. At least that’s what she was told, and what she understood from the pictures of her mother, a memento a life ended too soon and devoted to her family above all else.

The incident that resulted in her mother’s death was never really explained to her. And while at a very young age she was curious, with time she learned to accept it and to disregard the need to know more. After all, freeing as it could’ve been, sometimes the truth was the path to pain and unlike her father and her siblings, and she couldn’t endure it as well just yet. And so, the young girl made her task to be, not the replacement but rather the backup or failsafe to the household; just like her mother was. With so many crazed, hasty, and loud family members, there was a need for at least one quiet, peaceful and collected that could bring them altogether as best she could. However her reach was limited. She was the youngest one. She couldn’t do many of the things her older brother or even Karin did. But in between it all, she found the one thing that made everyone lit up and come together as a family: food. For as long as she can remember she has been the one in charge of the food preparation. Karin, Ichigo, and her dad helped from time to time, but she didn’t like them to. It was her job, and she was dang good. The young girl was able to create several different dishes of classical, contemporary, and even exotic tastes with near perfection. And that wasn’t all she did, Yuzu was also in charge of keeping the place clean and presentable, as to not look like a bunch of uncared for savages lived there.

With time, a few interesting events started to occur around her family. For starters her brother was able to see spirits supposedly clearly, and her father didn’t seem to find anything wrong with that fact. A year or so down the road, Karin began to be able to hear spirits as well. And while her sister couldn’t see them at first, she had been able to communicate with spirits at a far earlier age than Ichigo could. In the face of irony, neither of her siblings was very interested in their gift. They saw it as an annoyance and a burden that simply got in the way and caused them undue struggle. On the other hand, though Yuzu really wanted to be able to see spirits or at the very least talk to them, she couldn’t. It didn’t make sense why her siblings could and she couldn’t, and it wasn’t fair. But alas, she was supposed to be the moral compass of the family, and the more mature one despite her young age. And so, she hid her disappointment from her family and even from herself, to avoid having it become twisted into some unwanted form of jealousy.

Yuzu Kurosaki [APPROVED, 3-2++] JIE1OSm

Twisted by Lies

The next few years were hectic for the girl and for her family as well. Ichigo was hardly ever around, but she couldn’t fault him. He was almost done with high school and he had many friends he usually hung out with. She just wished he was home more often. She needed her brother. On the other hand, Karin had grown up to be a pretty strong teenager, participating in a number of sports and being able to see and communicate with ghosts just as well as her brother. Still, something was off about the situation in her home, and she couldn’t put a finger on why. Karin had suddenly stopped being worried about her brother’s whereabouts, but it was not out of a lack of care. Did she know something? She surely didn’t admit to it. Her father had also been a bit more erratic during those years. It wasn’t until after a good few years had passed, that the Kurosaki family decided to let the last clueless member in about their secret life. All of it.

The news would of course baffle her. Her dad had been a Shinigami Captain, her brother was just about everything out there, and Karin knew all about it. She didn’t understand why they didn’t trust her. Much like with her inability to see spirits, Yuzu had been left behind once more in a completely different way. With time however, she would come to forgive and forget. After all, Yuzu was the voice of calming reason and of maturity in the house. As time passed, the family went off on their own individual paths. Ichigo was still dating his girlfriend or so she had heard last. Karin had just been accepted into the Shinigami Academy, and her dad was very busy with the clinic. And while Yuzu was the one offspring that stuck around the longest, helping around the house and her aging father, eventually it came time for her to move on with her life.

High school had been a cinch. Despite not being known for possessing a genius intellect, she was nonetheless smart. But above it all, she had an incredible work ethic and a sense of priority that allowed her to place the most important tasks first, and to do the needed before the wanted. She even managed to get into a rather prestigious college with a cost that was astronomical and far higher than she could ever afford to pay. However, a willing donor, Ryuken Ishida, had offered to pay for her studies. From there, Yuzu started getting a bit closer to Ryuken. Primarily because he was a doctor, and that was the career she as thinking about, to be like her dad. But also because Ryuken had helped her so much, and had shared so many things with her. He spoke of her mother and how similar she looked to her, almost as if she was her mirror image. She couldn’t believe the rumors when people said that Ryuken was an always serious and stalwart man that hardly ever joked or smiled. When he was with her, it was always happy moments and laughter, but perhaps it was because Yuzu was a living remainder of the close friend he lost way too early.

Though Ryuken helped her a lot as far as schooling and sharing memories of her mother, there was one thing he didn’t seem willing to help her with: to train. She knew that Ryuken was a Quincy, as was his son. She was well aware that Quincy were humans who had the potential to achieve the feats they displayed. She simply wanted to see if she could. After all, she didn’t enjoy putting others at risk, Shinigami or not, in order to save her. And while she disliked violence and combat for the sake of conflict, she wished she could be like her brother and have the strength to defend the right to live. But alas, both Ryuken and Uryu were opposed to training her. They believed that it was best to keep her away from it. The stronger she became, the more likely that evil entities would seek her out to cause her harm. And more than that, they tried to convince her that it simply wouldn’t work. If she couldn’t see or talk to spirits, training to control any sort of spiritual energy would be a profound failure.

Grace Reborn

For quite a few nights that month the girl had been having recurring nightmares. They were hazy and quick, often scary, and others downright terrifying. On a fateful day however, Yuzu awoke in tears from one of her nightmares only to encounter a large grotesque hollow right outside her window. The beast stared her down with malicious intent and licked its lips in anticipation to what he believed was a savory meal. That’s when it hit her. That monster, the spirit, she could see it. Unfortunately happiness did not overtake the feeling of fear as the beast smashed through the window and pounced on her, intent on reaping her life away.

In a flash, the hollow began to disintegrate as a thin but powerful Quincy arrow pierced it. From a few houses away, she could see the typical business attire of Ryuken whom had gone on her aid. It didn’t take long for him to summon her later that evening. He had a confession to make. He hadn’t been completely honest with her. But instead of being upset as a normal person would, Yuzu was simply in awe and trying to figure out just what was he keeping from her, was it something like what her family kept her in the dark for so long? As it turned out, it seemed as though Yuzu had always been able to see spirits and to use spiritual pressure. Ryuken had taken to studying the events that led to her mother’s precarious situation, up until the birth of her children, and to her eventual demise. It looked as though each child inherited something different, but none were left without gift. By grace or her mother’s loving hand, each of her children were entrusted with the power to effect change.

Ichigo had inherited the hollow aspect that interacted with Masaki. And while the specifics on how that worked were difficult to understand for him, let alone Yuzu, the idea was about the same. He could hardly use his Quincy abilities, and more importantly, Ryuken believed he was never meant to become a Shinigami. After all, had it not been for Rukia initially allowing him to run the blade through him, having his chain of fate severed and with help from Urahara, he might have never achieved the transformations he did. Or at the very least, it would have taken him a lot longer to achieve. Karin seemed to have inherited her father’s genes and to continue his legacy in the Gotei. She managed to communicate with spirits far easier and far earlier than Ichigo ever could. She possessed great strength relative to not just her group of friends, but even compared to individuals of truly physical prowess. But even then, it took until she was accepted into the Shinigami Academy to be able to fully understand and achieve the transformation into a Shinigami.

As for Yuzu, that was a completely different theory. Ryuken believed that Masaki had passed along more than just her beauty. He truly believed that Yuzu had the potential to be a Quincy, but there was something else at play that simply restrained it. And supposedly it took him years of study to decipher what was truly going on, and finally, he did. The sealing kido Urahara had created for Ishin and Masaki was extremely powerful. After all, it had the ability to bind two souls together, and even prevented the soul suicide that would’ve occurred otherwise. It stood to reason that from the stigma of that seal, a form of derivate had been passed to Yuzu in the way of genetic makeup. In essence, he believed that Yuzu had been passed down a debilitating ability that almost completely shielded her from the spiritual world and its capabilities. Almost. The girl would likely have great amounts of spiritual pressure that simply were not seen before. But, as she grew into adulthood and her power continued to increase, the restrains holding her back became weaker, allowing more of her power to filter out.

Ryuken had decided that for her safety, he would need to help her to uncover her true potential, if anything to help her defend herself. Surely that was something neither Ichigo nor Uryu would like, but it was necessary. During the next few weeks, the two of them would take time after college to train, sometimes even during school hours. Frankly, it didn’t affect her grades all that much. He was easily able to help her with any school work she had trouble with since it just so happened to be in the same field of study as his career: Medicine. During the training, Yuzu was given a special gift he called a Quincy Bangle. It was supposedly used to help Quincy with very weak levels of reiatsu in the past. However, the two had already come to the realization that the issue was not a lack of reiatsu or even a low level of it, but rather an internal force that continually suppressed it; that’s what needed to be stopped for good.

A Quincy at Last

As the months and even the years passed by, Yuzu’s progress was astounding. She was still relatively weak as far as sheer power potential in comparison to a competent Quincy however. Regardless, she was easily able to create her bows, and could even fire multiple arrows as well. Ryuken had even noticed that the girl had a keen interest and ability for Ginto and reiryoku techniques. Of course, just how much she could do was temporary limited to how much energy she could manifest. But it was her ingenuity and the vivid imagination and motivation of the young Quincy that allowed her to craft incredibly powerful and intricate techniques.

During one of the regular training days however, something went wrong. Yuzu had created a set of a bow and arrows that were far larger than she had ever attempted, and continued to fire a multitude of them. While Ryuken still oversaw her training, she was advanced enough to be allowed some time to train on her own. In this instance however, the surge of spiritual pressure concentrated on the Quincy Bangle, and despite his efforts to help her, the artifact blew up in her hands. Rather than being hurt however, something extraordinary happened. Perhaps because how strong she had become and how much power she had amassed, the restrains holding her back couldn’t do it any longer. The little bits of power that filtered out of her being with the Bangle had been enough to make her relatively notable, but after it was destroyed, the sudden surge of her power became unrestrained and erupted forth. In moments the training grounds were swarmed with a spiritual pressure of such magnitude that it could likely be dangerous to anyone not properly trained. The walls shook, dust continuously fell from the ceiling, and it seemed as though all could cave down on them. The transition was complete.

From that point onward, the two focused on honing into Yuzu’s massive spiritual energy, refining it, and fine tuning it to minimize its dangers to bystanders. With her new heights of power also came new frontiers of development for her techniques. Where she had once been hindered while restrained and with the Quincy Bangle, she could now use the sheer heft of her power to create truly magnificent and colossal structures and contraptions from her Ginto tubes and her reiryoku techniques the likes of which had hardly been seen. More importantly however, the young Quincy was able to uncover a rather unique power she possessed, which they came to call The Equalizer. The ability allowed Yuzu to go up against Hollows whom Ryuken lured for training without fear. She could even out the playing field by shifting situations while not always on her favor, at the very least displace them from a direction where she would be at a disadvantage. It was truly a distinct and highly complex ability for the untrained. But, for someone with the intellect of Yuzu and whose dedication to her duties knew no bounds was the perfect fit for it.

The time would pass, and in the blink of an eye she had already graduated college. With her degree, she could continue on to become a full fledge doctor but that’s not what she wanted anymore. She did however manage to obtain certifications to work as a nurse. From time to time she would go back to her father and help him out on the clinic. Sometimes she would volunteer at Ryuken’s hospital as a form of gratitude. But above it all, Yuzu wanted to travel. She had always been the one left behind, the one lagging after the rest. And now, for the first time in her life she had the power to push on without being afraid, and the skill to protect those in need. She did make a habit of visiting impoverished areas as to treat the people that couldn’t afford decent medical care. For the next few decades Yuzu would continue to travel the world, admiring and discovering all she didn’t know that existed. Along the way she managed to uncover much more about her unique ability and how to tweak it, as well as creating a plethora of needed techniques that helped her defend herself and protect the innocent. In a way, she was doing what she always wanted. She had finally in a way become a bit like her brother, and she was proud of it.

Yuzu Kurosaki [APPROVED, 3-2++] GhEfAC7

Once a Student, Always a Student

Returning home, Yuzu would meet with Uryu, impressing him with the sheer talent and heft of spiritual pressure she possessed. The girl didn’t know the most techniques, and the ones she knew weren’t the most powerful in existence, but the potential for spirit energy she possessed went beyond anything he had ever witnessed. Her future was as bright as her smile and her personality. And with the advent of many more dark and colossal beings into the world with powers that defied reality and logic, Uryu agreed to teach her how to master the Letz Stil. With the amount of power she possessed, and the control she garnished over her energy, mastering the technique wasn’t difficult at all. In fact, even Uryu was surprised at the skill and ease with which she mastered the technique. However, though she was warned to avoid ever using the technique no matter what unless it was the very last resort, she continued to train in a similar fashion to enhance her control over it. With the amount of energy she possessed, easily rivaling that of her older brother, there simply weren’t a lot of trainings that were taxing on her or her energy reserves. The girl was like a bunny of endless energy that simply kept going. As it turned out, her lively and energetic attitude had happened to translate with near perfection into the grand amount of energy she projected.

And with new heights of power came new opponents of different kinds, attracted by the waves of energy she projected. And while combat was still something she never sought outright, Yuzu would not allow an innocent soul to be harmed because of her disdain towards hostility. She was strong because she needed to be, for herself and for others. For the longest time, the girl had thought that her biggest achievements and her biggest discoveries had already been a thing of the past. Many years ago she had been told finally about the truth that surrounded her family, and for a lot of years she had developed into a good and extremely powerful Quincy the likes of which was hardly ever seen. And even still, after traveling most of the world, helping people with both her medical skills and her Quincy skills with the singular purpose of saving lives, Yuzu still felt like there was more. In time, she would return to Japan to work in one of the largest and busiest hospitals in the nation though she still went out from time to time to defend those that couldn’t, just like her brother had centuries ago. Little did she know however that the biggest mystery of her life was barely about to burst forth.

After she arrived, the woman was sought out by a young man who pleaded she came with him as it was of upmost importance. After traveling with the stranger, Yuzu was led to one of the biggest mansions she had ever witnessed, even compared to the grand scheme of things on television. It was certainly the property of one of the richest men in the country. As soon as she arrived, she was summoned to the personal chambers of the property’s owner just as the men who escorted her along left. The individual that had requested her was an extremely old man, a Quincy that seemed to be living the very last few hours of his life before passing out. Right away, the woman knew there was something off or unsavory about the man beyond his ill situation.

The man claimed to know what she was. Well, she was a Quincy, what else? The man professed that there were spiritual beings born to the Human world who possessed powers beyond imagination. At first, the woman didn’t really seem impressed. After all, sure, she had a unique power in The Equalizer, but most high level Quincy seemed to have developed ability or rather were born with a power unique to them. How did that make her any different? The man would go on to say that he had tracked her progress ever since she was born. He alluded that she was similar to a man that had been born a millennia and a half ago and who served His majesty, Yhwach. Yuzu knew the name, though she had not heard it spoken in years. It was a man who led the Quincy with an iron fist and through very horrendous and heinous ways. She knew nothing of the man he spoke of however. The old man continued by saying that Yuzu’s peculiar ability, The Equalizer wasn’t the reason why her powers had never manifested. Not at all. He expressed that she was the reason her siblings had become spiritually aware so much faster than her and unlocked her powers so early on. He expressed she was also the reason her father Isshin managed to regain his Shinigami powers so quickly after her mother’s death, whereas otherwise it would have taken him much more. She had the power to imbue progress and give aid to everyone’s potential. And it took continuous pushing and pushing for her to be able to unlock her own down the road.

Yuzu didn’t want to believe it. He could be lying. But whether he was or wasn’t, there was something else unsettling about how the man spoke to her. The old man didn’t seem happy because she had power or because he had found her. No. His smile indicated something insidious, dark, and malevolent. The man confessed that although Ywach was gone for good, every time people like her were born unto the world, the realization of their power was a great omen of calamity to come, just like Haschwalth over a millennia and a half ago when he was born. He mentioned that though Yhwach would likely not return, the mere reason that she existed was proof enough that something even stronger was about to deliver its might upon the earth. With that, the man would simply cough up some blood, prompting several medical assistants to barge into the room in his aid. Yuzu on the other hand did not want to hear anymore, and simply left the premises. She would never hear from the man again, though she could only assume given his condition, that he had died right after speaking to her. In any case, Yuzu would continue on her work as both a medical practitioner and a guardian for those in need. The latest revelation in her life, didn’t matter all that much to her. Whether it was a lie or the truth, she was who she was, and the power she possessed was enough to save anyone that needed saving or so she thought. Was she truly an omen for a calamity to come in the future? Time would tell.

Modified Seele Schneiders [set of 5]:

Wanting to create her own personalized version of the iconic Quincy item, the Seele Schneider, Yuzu managed to craft something she truly liked and could call uniquely hers. The handle of the seeles are made with high quality soul synthesized silver that’s been carefully augmented with the use of her energy to create a material that’s as durable and resistant as a zanpakuto. She even managed to discover that she could influence the nature of the blade by adding reiryoku infused crystals within the handle. This allowed her to do two things. First, she was able to control the length of the blades to a certain degree. For instance, though her blades are typically about 24 inches, a normal size, they can be extended to reach up to 48 inches or retracted to reach down to 12 inches. The change happens extremely fast, allowing her to try and catch her enemies off guard. Second, she’s able to manipulate the structure of the blade to cease being the straight and rigid form that a blade should. What that means is that Yuzu is able to bend and twist a seele’s blade and use it as a whip to hit, wrap, and snare.

The seeles were also enhanced to make them much better at cutting by making it easier for them to separate reishi bonds. This was done by further infusing her energy into them at the time of creation. Their piercing ability is also exponentially increased since, after all, a seele is technically an arrow, and not a blade. Two hilts may also be connected to one another to create a form of double bladed seele. And should she manipulate reishi around her she could draw a string of reiryoku from the joint seele handles to use it as a bow, making her arrows and bow based attacks much stronger in the process.

Quincy Bangle [set of 3]

Though Yuzu no longer has a need for them on herself, she's kept three of the archaic but rather useful items. In essence, they would allow an extremely spiritually weak human to try and learn how to center themselves and absorb reishi. Hopefully, with enough of her help and the item, she could turn a barely spiritually aware human into a decent Quincy. Of course, she only has three, and would only lend them to individuals that became her students. However, since the number she has is limited, and the bangle is bound to be destroyed beyond repair when the to-be-Quincy reaches their potential, she doesn't hand them out so easily. It doesn't matter whether they're friends or not. There needs to be a connection that sim-ply goes beyond and ensures Yuzu that she could trust them with the power. After all, making more is not easy at all, and it would take her a considerable amount of time to replace one of them.

Yuzu Kurosaki [APPROVED, 3-2++] TcaWrQ6

V. Natural Abilities & Skills

» Skills:

Experienced Swordsman: Thanks to her teachers, her experiences and her own likes, Yuzu has developed quite the nick and affinity to bladed combat. Though she still loves her bows and uses them just as often, there was a grace and a beauty she experienced whenever she used her seele Schneiders to practice or to battle that was simply difficult to put to words. Her swings were powerful enough to count yet it was her swiftness and the way she moved her blade, angling it and swirling in rapid and perhaps exaggerated momentum to create a battle style that was truly beautiful to behold.

Master Archer: With all the training she performed, and how devoted she was to her work, it came as no surprise that Yuzu would quickly excel at the use of the Quincy primary weapon. She was easily able to fire either single arrows of immense power or large amounts of weaker arrows to rain down on a specific location. She was even capable enough to accurately fire extremely small bows one handed be it up close or from a distance. Difficult spots or arduous to hit targets were usually not beyond the reach of the accomplished archer.

Very High Spirit Energy: Throughout most of her life Yuzu had been subconsciously making sure her energy was never noted. The forces at play ensured that the power she possessed was not sealed but rather suppressed to such an extent that it made it seem as though she was an ordinary human. And even as she started to train and get stronger, the slow progress only reflected in meek quantities as her energy seemed to be rather low albeit of high quality. It wasn’t until the accident where her Quincy Bangle broke and released at once all the pent up energy she had been harnessing as part of her training that finally broke the seal and revealed her true power. Her spiritual energy was overwhelming that it could be compared to some of the current Captains of the Gotei. However, that wasn’t to say that Yuzu was as powerful as them, though she very well could be. It only meant that her energy potential was such to nearly rival theirs in amount and quality. Though such heights of power were still coming in slowly as she gradually transitioned into who she truly was.

Gifted Dominion over Reiryoku: Using her vast reservoirs of energy and her innate skill at manipulating it, Yuzu was able to create a wide range of reiryoku techniques from the very basic to the most intrinsic and complex. Though some were catered to utility, offense or defense, the vast majority of her techniques revolve around supporting and healing her allies and herself. Being a protector above all else, she has always used her power to make sure those around her are okay, and to protect them, just like her brother taught her.

VI. Quincy Skills & Abilities

Yuzu Kurosaki [APPROVED, 3-2++] PKFdhXz

» Quincy Skills:

The Equalizer:

The unique ability to Yuzu, passed down as inheritance and as a result of the union of a Shinigami, a Quincy, and Hollow powers altogether would come to be known as The Equalizer. The ability places Yuzu and all that she is and all that she does at its core, using it as a baseline to judge and balance external forces or stimuli. It bypasses norms of logic and laws of physics since when the ability is used, she becomes the law that rules what is normal. Yuzu is able to exert change on the spiritual and physical plane to act on forces that are not aligned with the baseline that is her. Put simply, Yuzu can equalize the values or attributes of any attack or techniques to match her own, or change her own attack/technique’s values or attributes to match theirs. As such, should the ability be used when an opponent’s powerful technique is about to hit a relatively weak attack of Yuzu, then their technique could be adapted to have the same amount of power, velocity, and potential as Yuzu’s. On the flipside, she may also use it inversely by using extremely powerful techniques when her allies are using weaker ones, and influence their technique to be as strong as hers. Of course, the adaptation of The Equalizer is not limited to just power, as it also governs speed, reaction, or any meaningful spiritual or physical attribute or skill. Therefore, a blade swinging down with unyielding speed and strength about to be met by one just slightly weaker and slower would have the opponent’s attributes reduced to match evenly to hers. The means of attack don’t have to be the same either, as a strong swing of a weapon going up against an energy blast could still be affected to make certain attributes like speed of travel and swing, and power of delivery, equal. In the end, the technique will never make Yuzu or any of her attacks stronger or faster than anyone else’s. But it ensures that when using it she’s never weaker either; everyone she affects is subjected to the baseline that encompasses her and her power potential, and capabilities. To put things into perspective, it makes them equal.

In fact, The Equalizer works both ways. She is able to either decrease an opponent’s attack or motions to match her own, or increase hers to match theirs. By using her ability The Equalizer, Yuzu is even able to throw off her opponent with sudden changes. However, one of its biggest caveats is that Yuzu can only balance attributes she possesses. For instance, all spiritual or energy based attacks, albeit of different constructs or natures share enough similarity to be assimilated the same way, as would hand to hand combat techniques, and weapon techniques in their own rights. However, Yuzu cannot apply the ability The Equalizer to affect attributes she does not possess. Speed and power are everywhere however. But, in the case of an extremely powerful and fast blast made of fire that burns everything asunder, should a large Quincy arrow be shot from her end, Yuzu’s attack could be made to be as strong and fast as her opponent’s if theirs was superior, or their attack could be made weaker and slower to be on the same level as hers. But, unfortunately, their attack still retains its destructive fire burning quality. Since her attack doesn’t possess that specific quality or attribute, it cannot be affected since she can’t equalize to match to something she doesn’t have. The issues don’t stop there however. Unfortunately Yuzu is only able to affect one kind of technique at a time, although multiple copies of the same technique is still treated as one. For instance, should two different kido be fired at her, she would only be able to affect one with her technique. But should an attack that rains down several beams on her be used, then the conglomeration would be affected if she wanted to. In no way can Yuzu equalize her own tier or her opponent’s. Her ability is limited to simply different forms of attack. After all, she’s the sworn protector of the innocent. To go beyond, the ability is highly influenced by external factors such as the power she possess in comparison to to her target. Yuzu cannot equalize techniques from opponents in a release state above hers, meaning she can't equalize the attack from a bankai without releasing herself as well. The reasoning behind it is that given the extreme surge in power, its simply too difficult to keep up or account for it. Against opponents more than two tiers above hers, even a Shikai level release makes it impossible to use her ability effectively.

Blut:

An advanced Quincy technique where Yuzu makes reishi flow directly into her blood vessels. By using this technique, she can drastically increase her attack and defense to near unimaginable levels. Aside from being extremely dangerous and potentially deadly to her opponents, it is not without restrictions. Since the attack and defense form of Blut utilize different reishi systems, they cannot be used both at the same time. Through intense training, like some of the legends of the Quincy of old, Yuzu has managed to be able to use both at once but only for extremely short amount of times of no more than two posts regularly, and four in a released state. If she were to keep both active simultaneously for more than that, it would likely bring about her untimely demise.

Throughout her training, she was forced to her limits with relentless attacks from opponents much stronger than her. The attacks were vicious and never-ending to ensure she would reach the limits of her blut. Soon, she was able to tailor and improve her blut in the hectic and dangerous state of battle. Not only is she able to keep up her Blut Vene and Blut Arterie up for considerably long amount of times, but she was gifted enough to develop her own off-shoot extensions of Blut to further enhance it. Surpassing what was thought to be impossible, she has even learned to fuse her unique genetic skills with her Quincy gifts to attain a mastery and a power over Blut that’s simply beyond compare.

Blut Vene: This is referred to as the defensive form of Blut. This allows them to heighten their defenses to absurd levels more often than not. It is often utilized in order to better bare the brunt of released states in general and is often key to helping a Quincy achieve superhuman durability. Thus, when it is activated, most Quincy will often have some form of faint pattern tracing their veins or marking their skin. It can be anything from symbols, reddened skin or whatever else have you.

Additionally, Blut Vene is also capable of being used as healing a factor in stronger and more controlled Blut Users. These feats can range from stopping severe lost lost, closing blood wounds and potentially even reconnecting limbs and organs. Granted, altogether, this ability takes a considerable toll on the user and should be used carefully.

Blut Arterie: This is the offensive version of Blut. In this form, the user is allowed a great sense of superhuman power. Anything that is used for assaulting purposes against opponents will be greatly bolstered depending on the level of mastery that the Quincy has over their blut. This can be allied to transformations, special attacks, racial skills and things of this nature. Granted, it will take it's toll after awhile like anything else.

Reiryoku Techniques

Heiling Sternenlicht:

By bringing either or both of her hands forth, Yuzu’s palms become shrouded by what appears to be speckles of bright and shimmering crystalline light. In reality, it is simply the visual indicator of what happens when the technique mingles her spiritual energy with the vast and masterful control she exerts over reiryoku and reishi. At the same time, a very large pentagram is casted way up in the sky, spanning more than 50 meters in diameter. In a blink of an eye, the pentagram seems to take on a more three dimensional look as its side extend, not growing but rather blooming. From its core, an equally large white rose sprouts to cover the original design before it disintegrates into pollen like substance, strangely similar to the look of the shimmering light that had been seen around the girl’s hands. The reason as to why it’s because in the nature of the technique, it was precisely crafted to attach to Yuzu’s spiritual signal like a bee to its flower. As such, the technique remains so long as Yuzu still has energy to continue the fight.

The white speckles of silvery light are not dangerous to anyone however as they cannot cause harm. Instead, the technique was created as a beautiful form of a slow but dedicated healing. With her technique, the woman is able to filter out the spiritual signals she desires while targeting her allies and herself. In doing so, the speckles make sure to heal her friends steadily over time. However, due to the strains already placed on the technique being dependent on her energy and lasting for as long as the latter does, there are very obvious and clear limitations. It can heal almost anything. But it can’t heal most truly dangerous things very fast. Simple cuts, pain, bruises and burns are usually gone within two posts after being inflicted. Large cuts and wounds of fairly severe magnitude usually take about four posts. Severed or destroyed limbs can take about six posts to regenerate. And near fatal injuries that are close to being irreparable usually take as long as eight posts to heal up. If the technique is used during her Letzt Stil release then each individual time frame is cut in half to account for the sheer change in the magnitude of her spiritual pressure.

Bluhende Lilie:

By either willing it or waving her hand, the reiryoku in her location is commanded to act either upon herself or on an ally. Regardless of whom it is used on, the technique creates what resembles a large predatory flower full of thorns and a dark visage that’s complimented by nightmarish red huge petals in the shape of a maw. To add to its terrifying element, the flower which extends to a height of over five meters, has a long stem that’s connected directly to the body of whomever she has attached it to. Despite its menacing look however, the flower is not a danger to anyone outright and under normal circumstances, though that’s something most would not be able to rationalize. It is simply misunderstood.

The flower will remain attached to the target and move as they do until very specific circumstances trigger its ability. When the target is faced with an energy or spiritual technique of any construct, the flower leaps forth and literally eats the energy that was meant to hit the target. Because of the construct of the flower, poisonous, decaying, or debilitating attributes of the technique have no effect on the flower as its able to dilute and digest any energy to feed itself. Once the flower has had its meal its look changes drastically. Gone is the dark and nightmarish flower and on its stead, a beautiful blooming flower without thorns is showcased instead. The new mesmerizing flower and its stem are subsequently dispersed into a cloud of silvery dust that diffuse downwards and into the body of their target, be it Yuzu or an ally. As a result, the target is granted an exponential increase to their movement speed, the power of their attacks, and their energy output for a total of two posts.

However, despite Yuzu’s masterful control over reiryoku and the near incalculable amounts of energy she possesses, the technique was not able to be created perfectly or as an absolute. For starters, the flower cannot pick which attack it wants to eat. Instead, after appearing, the first attack that’s going to hit the target is seized at once. Beyond that, the flower may only eat one technique. In essence after the flower has eaten a technique, and the attribute bonuses vested on its target, it vanishes. Not only that but only one flower may be present in the field at a time, meaning Yuzu can’t place one on herself and on her ally at once. And if that wasn’t enough, using the technique incurs a five post cooldown after dissipating before it can be used again. When in her Letzt Stil release form, Yuzu is able to create and maintain two flowers at once with an advanced mastery of the release form and three upon reaching master, while the attribute bonuses have their duration extended to four posts on advanced and six posts on master. The cooldown is decreased to four posts with advanced mastery, three posts cooldown with master level, and one post cooldown with a GM mastery to account for the sudden surge in power and the spiritual energy the release form commands.

Blumen Krippe:

One of the most difficult and taxing reiryoku techniques Yuzu has created, Blumen Krippe, which translates roughly to Floral Nativity, showcases the vast reaches of her spiritual energy and the constructs she can project through it. Upon using the technique, streams of blue and silver energy flow around Yuzu enveloping her before sinking and disappearing underneath her feet, even if she were to be standing on midair. Right away in her vicinity, large and powerful beams of solid white and silver wood and branches begin to grow out all around her. They appear thick and powerful and with an apparent unyielding might to grow to their limits. The plethora of trees and wooden limbs wrap around each other, coiling tightly to create a near impenetrable structure. In moments, an extremely large and tall dome is created with a radius of 100 meters and thus a diameter of 200 meters. In height, the dome reaches a height of up to 100 meters. The edges of the structure are not marked depending on where Yuzu stands however. Instead, she marks the center of the dome, meaning that any and all that happened to be within the ranges described above are trapped with her inside for the time being.

The inside of the cave is completely shrouded in darkness. Pitch black. Neither her allies nor her enemies would be able to see a thing unless they had specific means or methods to allow them to. However, any technique which created light, as most energy techniques did, would illuminate the specific area momentarily. But, should any energy based technique or construct hit the walls of the dome, the attacks would diffuse alongside the structure, almost like a plant absorbing nutrients. Right away, at some location, a large flower, likely about one meter in length would sprout somewhere on the walls of the dome, helping illuminate the area with bright light. The technique does not and cannot absorb energy attacks or techniques that don’t hit it. Only those techniques that make contact with the wall, either due to missing or deflecting are subjected to it. Of course, that would mean that multiple energy related attacks hitting the walls would cause enough flowers to bloom to completely illuminate the inside of the dome better than any natural or artificial lighting ever could.

The flowers themselves are unresponsive to anyone Yuzu deems unworthy as would be the case for her enemies. As such trying to hit or damage them would be like trying to cut a stream of light with a blade of steel. However, for her and those she deemed worthy, the flowers could be picked off and ate. Should a flower be consumed, then the speed and the power of the recipient would be increased exponentially for duration of four posts. The effect does not stack, so neither she nor an ally would benefit from consuming more than one. The amount of times a flower can be consumed its entirely dependent on the amount of flowers available or if there’s any at all. And while the technique is able to easily contain opponents of similar tiers for a full duration of ten posts, opponents of at least a tier higher can destroy the walls with repeated attacks after five posts, while being two tiers above would allow them to succeed in about three posts, and three tiers above after just one post has elapsed. Of course, it certainly requires that the individual continuously fire off against the wall to create the damage as any available flower would use itself up and disappear to restore any damage done to the wall given a pause on the assault. Otherwise, the dome would cave down on itself after duration of ten posts. And given the sheer magnitude of her technique and how taxing it is to create and maintain, once the dome has been maintained for at least five posts, it cannot be created again on the same thread.

VI. Spirit Weapon

» Spirit Weapon Name: Holy Bow

» Spirit Weapon Appearance: Her bow takes on the form of the standard Quincy look for them. There’s nothing special, it simply resembled a long bow of somewhat thin limbs and with a light blue hue to it. Of course, should she want to, focusing her energy to create a more realistic bow is extremely easy, in which case it takes the form of a metal like bow with a color that’s described as being silvery white.

Yuzu Kurosaki [APPROVED, 3-2++] ZqGfqSw

» Spirit Weapon Abilities: Though Quincy are able to manipulate their spirit weapon to be smaller or larger at will, Yuzu goes a step further. She’s able to instantly make her bow several times larger than herself, or several times smaller to fit the situation. As such, it's become useful not just in long range situations but even during close combat.

» Secondary Spirit Weapon Name: Spirit Shield

» Spirit Weapon Appearance: Her spirit shield takes the form of a large blue and white outlined shield made from her concentrated energy and that around her. Despite feeling extremely light to her the shield actually displays a rather tough and durable look. Throughout the area of the shield, a long spiraling thorn like formation culminates into an emblem of a much darker shade of blue at its epicenter.

Yuzu Kurosaki [APPROVED, 3-2++] ZFifNAa

» Spirit Weapon Abilities:

Spiritual Sight: By placing her shield before her, Yuzu is able to look into it for one of two effects. It allows her to zoom in to such a degree that she’s able to peer into distances of about a mile, as well as adapting its focus to see items that would simply be impossible to pick up with the naked eye.

Spiritual Whip: At will, Yuzu may break down her shield by bringing forth the spiraling structure designed into the shield. This causes the shield to momentarily cave down and disappear, leaving in its place a long blue colored whip with segments along its length. The girl may use it as a weapon by swinging it, and trying to wrap people or snatch objects off of them. Likewise, much like with her shield, she’s able to run her energy and techniques through it as well. And, more importantly, Yuzu is able to either will the spiritual thorns to grow and sharpen along its length if used offensively [like jagged barbed wire], or simply have the thorns bloom into flowers when wrapping a target if she’s trying to heal them. Of course such healing is gradual and only capable of minor fixes at first. Any considerable amount of healing would require several posts of being held instead.

Frisbee: The shield or the whip is able to be tossed out and away from her. However, any time her spirit weapon is out of her reach, be it through her own decision or by being taken by someone else, the weapon can readily dematerialize and materialize back into her hands in the case of the whip. And while it could also do that when in the form of a shield, throwing it would simply cause it to return to her much like a frisbee being tossed at her, or a boomerang.

Force Repulsion: Much like the point of any shield, hers is able to block and fire back most attacks. It doesn’t make the attacks faster and neither does it make them stronger. Instead, it simply repels and sends them back in the same general direction they were deployed. The effects extend not just to spiritual blasts but even to physical blows as they’re created from kinetic energy after all. However, there are plenty of caveats. For instance, Yuzu is only able to fireback attacks made from individuals whose tier doesn’t exceed hers. If their tier is more than one above hers, then the shield would simply parry the blast to a random location rather than straight at her enemy. On the flipside, trying to use against targets more than two tiers above hers would stop the attack, but it would not stop the force of push effected on her, causing her to be fired back and hard against whatever surface is in her vicinity, causing her great harm. Yuzu is cautioned not to use the ability against opponents more than three tiers above hers as it simply would not work and would just end up hurting her greatly.

Defense Buble: At any time, Yuzu is able to extend the range and diameter of her shield to create a very large defensive bubble. The bubble’s diameter is highly dependent on her energy, though thanks to her vast amounts she’s able to use it nicely. For instance, regularly, the defensible bubble would have a radius of up to 10 meters, while in a release state it extends up to a 25 meter radius. The central and focal point of the radius of course being wherever she stands at the time of creation. Of course, that’s just the maximum distance it can cover, since she may also make them as small as possible. In essence, it is just a form of defense, and neither Yuzu nor anyone within it can fire anything any attack to the outside from within. Likewise, usually the bubble can easily contend against continuous powerful attacks from opponents whose tier does not exceed her own for up to two posts without caving. However, against opponents at least one tier higher than her, Yuzu is rendered only able to sustain the defense against the onslaught of damage for one additional post. Those who are even stronger still, like in the case of those at least two tiers higher than her would be the most dangerous. In fact, the shield would break down and implode, tossing Yuzu back with whatever kinetic force it possessed for serious damage, despite stopping the blast by canceling her own shield in the process. In a release state, the bubble can easily hold off attacks from same tier opponents for up to three posts, with opponents no more than a tier above hers being able to destroy the bubble after two posts, and those more than two tiers above hers being able to destroy the bubble after one extra post. Of course, truly powerful opponents, those whose tier are at least three above hers would destroy her bubble easily and toss Yuzu away as their attack is cancelled out; Regardless of being in her released state, Yuzu cannot work around the latter.

VII. Letzt Stil

» Letzt Stil Name: "You mean I could've named it??? Why didn't anyone say so?!"

» Letzt Stil Apperance: Yuzu gains what appears to be a large white shoulder pad on her left shoulder with blue stripes that run along its length. Behind her back and towards her right shoulder, an enormous quiver of pure blinding light, almost like a wing, protrudes outwards to a size that's easily larger than she is.

» Letz Stil Abilities: There is no specific ability gained from her release. At least, despite all her years of training in the form, she's only been able to enhance the things she's already capable of outside of it. For instance, the cooldown of certain techniques is reduced [already stipulated on said technique's description]. Beyond that, though the extremely large silvery white, wing like quiver is only one, Yuzu is still nonetheless allowed to fly. The most important, obvious, and notable change however is the change in her attributes. Being the only release available to her, the amount of speed, power, and overall energy she gets is highly dependent on her mastery of the form. However, despite the massive power boost she receives when in her release form, its limits are still largely similar to those exhibited by other Quincy [see racial spec for detailed stat increases per mastery].

The Equalizer

This needs more limits, along with a scaling list based on tier.

Bluhende Lilie

"The flower doesn’t seem to be tangible and as such cannot be touched or cut down."

Remove this line.

"And if that wasn’t enough, using the technique incurs a two post cooldown after dissipating before it can be used again."

Change this to five posts.

Heiling Sternenlicht

"The beautiful white pollen cannot be targeted and cannot be blown away."

Remove this line.

Defense Bubble

"Likewise, usually the bubble can easily contend against Shikai level attacks for up to two posts without caving, and one post if against a Bankai level technique. Anyone using a technique of the latter who’s also of a tier higher than hers would see their attack blocked or stopped, but also the bubble destroyed right along with it. In a release state, the bubble can easily hold off attacks from bankai level techniques for up to three posts, with opponents no more than a tier being able to destroy the bubble after two posts, and those more than two tiers above hers and using at least a bankai level technique being able to destroy the bubble in one. Of course, truly powerful opponents, those whose tier are at least three above hers and using a bankai level technique would destroy her bubble as well as their own attack as it canceled out if used against her in a released state."

This section needs to be reworked entirely. With the current wording of this, I cannot approve this how it is. Shikai and Bankai do not have static levels of power. There are levels to that. The best solution for this would be to make another tier-based scaling, similar to The Equalizer.

Letz Stil

This needs a lot more explanation done, as the wording of this is not passable in my eyes.

Done.

Letzt Still was a difficult one since I was trying to make it as bare bones and simple as possible. Reworded to make it seem a bit more balanced and fitting to the checks and balances the Quincy release is held up to anyways.

Yuzu Kurosaki

Yuzu Kurosaki [APPROVED, 3-2++] JCRrxmK

Song: N/a STUFF - Artist: N/A STUFF - Words: N/A

Finally. Had it really been that long? With a beaming smile, the girl fixed and prepared one of the rooms in her home. There was nothing out of the ordinary. The living arrangement looked basic, certainly nothing too exuberant. But alas, it had a homey feeling that seemed to echo a form of nostalgia and remembrance the likes of which only a select few could truly understand. With the bed done, Yuzu walked downstairs, to an area that seemed overloading with scents of stews, and cooked meats, and steamed vegetables. Someone had really taken the time and effort to cook something special and unique, and that someone was her. Despite cooking just about every day, it had been a while since she had cooked for someone else other than just herself. Despite the years however, she never forgot.

”Its ready, don’t take too long, or it’ll get cold!”

Her brother was home. Although the family was still relatively close, they didn’t really get to see eachother with as much frequency as they once did. Everyone had their own individual lives, and they were happy. At the very least, they still came once upon a time, to relieve the old days, and cherish the good news of the new ones. Yuzu had taken after her parent’s steps in more than one ways. Most days out of the week she worked at the local hospital treating the ill. And whenever she was off, or whenever she was needed, she helped out by protecting the innocent by the increasing threat of the dark, the heinous, and the evil.

Taking her seat, she placed her brother’s plate and utensils just where she remembered them. He was the only one there tonight, but perhaps with time, and a little nudging, their family would come together again; at least a little more often. There was a reason to her brother’s visit after all. Despite her power and her feats of strength, he was simply worried for her well being. With an increasing amount of spiritual energy also came an increasing propensity to draw out the strong and evil beings that could truly make her life difficult. However, there was no chance for Yuzu stopping. She had always been stubborn in things she was passionate about. Whether it was keeping her family together by being the mother figure growing up. Or trying to be the voice of reason and maturity at a home that otherwise lacked it. For the most part of her life, Yuzu was a simple and weak girl keeping a family of truly strong individuals by feelings, and love, and care alone.

She was finally able to keep not just her family, but her friends and neighbors together and safe through other ways. To ask her to stop would be in vain. Despite their behavioral differences, Yuzu was still Ichigo’s sibling. Deep down, she had always aspired to be like him. She had aspired to have his skills and courage, and to have the drive to do what was needed for the sake of others. It was what initially drew her to study medicine so that she could at least in some ways, positively affect the lives of others. As fate would have it, the girl was destined for so much more.

She understood however that sooner or later she would need some help. Just like in medicine, most large and successful bodies of health were composed of large organizations with plenty of specialists in the field. It wasn’t ever the effort of just one man. Likewise, she had to give credit to her brother’s concern, but she had a plan. He was right. Sooner or later creatures with a power simply beyond her means would come knocking, and she’d be helpless. Frankly, her safety didn’t worry her as much as the safety of others. Perhaps it was time to reach out onto others that thought like her, and viewed the world as she did. She had heard of a very specific military organization with the same goals. They seemed to be a lot more strict than she was used to, but their ends were pure and she agreed with them. Joining them would be the easy part, convincing her brother that it was the right thing to do would be the difficult part. Here he comes. Let’s do this.

Blissful Innocence

Yuzu Kurosaki

Song: N/a STUFF - Artist: N/A STUFF - Words: N/A

Everything had been prepared ahead of time. The girl had reserved a cafe known for its delicious pastries and its milkshakes. On that day however none of the shopkeepers had to shown up to work; Yuzu had rented the place and paid for their day off. Instead, she had used the time to cook her own desserts as a means to welcome her guests to whom she had sent invitations. It was mostly friends from her past. They were all people she had once held dearly but whom she had not seen for several years. There was a saying that said that love starts in the kitchen, and the girl certainly knew how to cook. She had made several different kinds of cupcakes and muffins from scratch. She had even whipped up a batch of donuts, and made milkshake too!

”One more fork over here, a plate over there. Okay! This is gonna be great.” There was clear amusement in her expression, and enthusiasm in the tone of her voice. Her face then lit up with a smile as the door opened and someone came in.

”Hi! Welcome to-wait, who are you?”

The individual that came in was a complete stranger to her. Sure it had been a hundred years since she had seen some of her friends, and twice that time since she had seen others...but none should have changed that much. The first individual was a actually man of roughly 40 years of age. He wasn’t well kept. He had a big beard and stains over clothes that looked as if they hadn’t been changed in weeks. Behind him was an older lady, possibly of about 80 years of age. She looked just as disheveled as he did, but she showed some real difficulties walking. And right outside of the cafe, about three more individuals just like them, stood waiting.

”I’m sorry miss,” said the man that entered first. ”We just smelled the food and saw no one inside. We’re really sorry.”

They indeed looked as though they felt bad for intruding. More than that, they all looked relatively pale, sickly, as though they hadn’t eaten in a very long time. However she didn’t have that much food. Yuzu only made enough for the group she was expecting, and none were likely to come for another hour or so. In just a few seconds the man had walked off and out of the locale, helping the struggling old lady to do the same. With a deep breath and a smile, Yuzu rushed out the place and after them.

”Wait, come back,” said the girl at the top of her lungs. I’m sorry, please come inside, all of you.”

As she walked closer to whom were practically strangers, she directed the group to inside and told them to eat what they wanted, and as much as they felt to be satisfied. The girl took the time to help the old lady walk, by holding her hand and allowing her to rest on her. From up close, the girl was able to see a lot more than she had previously. The old woman had a very nurturing and calming voice. She spoke softly, and her smile was bright. The lady had a name and a life to her own. She probably had a family too, and people she cared about. The lady was as deserving of love and attention as anyone else. Once inside, Yuzu simply sat by them, asking them simple questions while they ate: what their name was, where they lived, and if they had family. To no surprise and no fault of their own, they all lives which had dealt them a really bad hand.

A handful of them were mildly spiritually aware, and some weren’t. Among the group, one had never known a family, and the rest had, only to know the pain of having it taken away. It seemed as though the current state of the world had created more scars on its people than could be seen with the naked eye or healed with modern medicine. It was sad and rather disheartening. For as much as Yuzu trained and improved, and for as many lives as she was able to help and save, it just wasn’t enough. There was always people in despair, and in need of dire help. Was any of her work worth it at all? The young woman had to struggle and train past her limits several times. She had to use the Quincy Bangle, meant for the very weakest of her kind, and use it for years. After so much work with two of the strongest Quincy known, she was only capable to be decent. Sure she helped people, but her power and contributions paled in comparison to what others like her brother and her sister could do. And at her rate of progress, was continuing even worth it? Her doubt and her train of thought was suddenly interrupted.

”Thank you dear,” said the old woman with a large and honest smile, her hand placed gently over Yuzu’s. ”You’re truly an angel.”

Her words had made the girl stop for a good few seconds, and think. Sometimes it was the little things that mattered most. The group really appreciated what Yuzu had done. They probably couldn’t remember the last time they had a meal like that. Regardless they were sincerely grateful, and it showed in their expression, and it was conveyed in their heartfelt smiles. The group was small, but every contribution mattered. She was saw it then. One didn’t need to move the mountains or defeat the Demon Queen to save the world. The weakest of Humans without a hint of spiritual energy had as much chance to save the world as the very strongest. No positive contribution was ever in vain. Every person helped, and every life saved added up. Until that point Yuzu had saved more people than she could count. As she progressively got stronger that number increased. But the souls she helped weren’t only those in fear of monsters. She recurrently helped people with far more dangerous problems like illnesses, depression, and loneliness. Once the group had finished eating, but before they left, she made sure to say one more thing.

”Please,” started Yuzu before retrieving a few cards from her pocket. ”I help run a hospital. Please come at any time and you’ll be treated at no cost. I also included the number of a friend who will make sure you have a roof over your head to sleep, and food to eat. Tell him Yuzu Kurosaki sent you. See you soon.”

With a smile and a light bow from all those present, they bid each other farewell for the time being. She felt good, really good. Just moments laters she could hear the whispers of what seemed to be her guests finally arriving. There wasn’t any food anymore, but that no longer mattered. They meant the world to her as she meant the world to them. The food was simply an amenity, but to those who had just left it meant the world, and perhaps their life. The day was great, and it was simply just getting started. Placing her arms behind her, Yuzu walked to the door, and opened it. Her charismatic smile was the welcoming beaming light that ushered her guests in. She was the light in the darkness, and the chance where there was only futility. She was blissful innocence.
