The sun hung low in the sky, evening's light seeping through the clouds. The chatter that accompanied the outskirts of the Atarashii had begun to hush, as the chatter and hustle and bustle slowly diminished to nothing. When it was time for the last hunter to make his way back home, he could not help but notice the spectacle of a shooting star. He thought it peculiar, as the Seireitei's astronomy did not typically allow for such a phenomenon.

He decided to accept it as a sign of good luck...

* * *

Meanwhile, on the other edge of the Atarashii, it was possible to see the shooting star much more... clearly. This was, of course, because of the fact that it was descending rapidly. Into the forest.

Where it proceeded to impact, causing dozens of trees to shake as the ground gave way beneath them, a crater forming from the point of impact. The ground receded, pouring deep into the earth as soil and plant life was broken apart. The crumbling debris slid deep into the newly birthed crevice, stones breaking apart and tumbling, tumbling deeper and deeper down as the hole widened.

At last, the shooting star ceased to descend, and a strange quiet folded over the land. Countless animals and other beasts had been disturbed, running off and escaping from the impact site. By this time in the evening, no one was out in the forest. No normal person, at any rate.

Next to the crater, a black stone fell. This black stone was shaped roughly like a sword, with a long hilt extruding from one side. Unlike the sword's master, however, it did not cause tectonic disruptions upon impact. It merely stopped once it touched the ground, as if it had instantly become weightless.

From the crater's depths, something began to rise. Dust and debris were disturbed once again as this figure straightened out his back. A massive mane of hair made itself known as the figure's head shook back and forth... before opening his maw.

In that moment, the scattered dust and debris began to rise, a strange purple light emanating from the figure. Every piece the light touched began to draw it towards the figure's mouth... and he consumed the earth. His mouth chewed the tons of debris, until there was no loose earth remaining. "Voi, I don't remember Seireitei dirt being this lousy..." A gruff voice commented, before its owner leaped out of the hole.

Moonie Iramasha landed weightlessly out of the pit that he had created. His blonde hair was now spotless, as well as his combat garb. The outfit that he wore covered only half of his torso, and around his waist was a ribbon holding the whole ensemble together. He wore black pants under large flaps. Those flaps shifted and flopped about with each of his exuberant steps. His head slid to the left, before shifting back to the right. "...Vooooooi..." He let out, before beginning to smile. "Was pretty disappointed with their spirit... I hope the next one's better." He told the forest around him, his black-ringed eyes shining. He had begun to cackle, his arms held at either side of his body.

He was doing nothing to conceal or otherwise hide his presence. Any spiritual being could sense the weight of energy that he was emitting. After all, Moonie was already in the state known as Return. The size of the crater that he had left and arisen from unscathed was a testament to that fact. Crossing his arms, he let out an agitated sigh, before lifting his sword out of the dirt.

"..Voi... maybe I won't have to wait so long after all..." He muttered, beginning to chuckle to himself again as his wide red eyes glanced behind him... noticing a figure approaching through the clean hole he had left behind.
