Wisdom Needs A New Face [Solomon Islands Takeover - Territory Claim]

CYNG | THE WHITE RIDER
What was it about that high stakes chess that made large living feel so large? It just, "felt" classy. Which, honestly, made it that much easier to engage in high stake gambling with the upper class. That was another thing about the high class. Circumstantially, they were easily manipulable, a sense of invulnerability instilled in them as they perched proudly on their pedestals.
"That's a check, Your Highness."
"Mmm, you're quite good at this. I wasn't anticipating you to be such a seasoned strategist, though I admit I'm not too surprised."
"Of course you're not; I'm every bit of a hobbyist in these novelties as you, Your Highness."
"That's quite a bit of confidence you have there, Cyng--even though you say you've not played board games too often."
His words instilled in Cyng an amused smile, that amusement offering some comfort. Her posture relaxed and she leaned back, maintaining her smirk. Her sudden movement attracted the man's attention, his eyes drew up from the board to her eyes, locking in. Leaning back, her smile turned to something more of a smirk, an attitude of condescension conveyed as her fist rose to support her chin.
"I really haven't, Your Highness. In fact, this is my first time playing Chess. If anything, it's a bit of experience, or perhaps just natural talent, maybe fate, but ruling like a king just suits me."

CYNG | THE WHITE RIDER
The man's face smirked with a bit of annoyance at the edge of his mouth before his gaze returned to the board, a matching movement of the fingers to move his king away from the position of vulnerability. Watching this action, Cyng couldn't help but release a bit of her amusement with a pleasant sigh.
""Your Highness, it wouldn't be fun for a wager over your kingdom to end so quickly; I really do advise you to take a different action."
The bit of annoyance on the corner of his lip expanded to show some displeasure across his whole face, and with furrowed eyebrows he raised his head to look straight into Cyng's eyes.
"And what makes you say that?"
"Call it a bit of intuition."
Revealing a wide grin, Cyng leaned forward and maintained that bit of eye-contact, stars in her eyes coming forth as an impactful wave of a mixture of emotions spewed forth. As the girl took a [Gaze] into the man's eyes, all that took root in his heart, as desire and motive, came into her banks of knowledge. The man felt open, subjection to some sort of perversion as the sense of exposure and bareness overwhelmed his senses. He wanted to pull away such a strong, violating [Gaze]--but, it was tempting to see what was in those stars. That small spark of life growing in her irises, swallowing all the light around them as if they were the only things in sight--in existence.
"Tell me, Your Highness; what does this Kingdom really mean to you?"
An expression of stupor covered the man's face as he sank further into the cushioned chair. That bit of temptation growing into an obsessive desire to unravel the mysteries the girl's eyes whispered out were increasingly enticing, and he couldn't resist responding truthfully, as if a delay or lie might make those stars lose their light.
"I... As the King, this Kingdom--it is something of my possession. The Kingdom belongs to me."
"So the Kingdom belongs to the King--but does the King belong to the Kingdom? Or are your intentions less, "noble"?"
"I hadn't put much thought into it."

KRONIID | REIGN SUPREME
"I don't think you put much thought into much at all, though?"
Standing behind Cyng's chair was a boy with garnet hair, an innocent smile full of playfulness revealing his bright teeth. If it wasn't for his mocking words, he'd seem nothing more than a child with an odd taste of style--though, to the more discerning eye, perhaps they'd see something of a more noble presence in him. But, if someone could see that from Kroniid, then naturally they'd perceive the far more overwhelming, arguably gargantuan presence Cyng possessed, even by simply sitting there. A sort of presence strong enough to even make the ordinary chair she sat on physically seem like an almighty throne.
"Then again, I'm sure that comes as a surprise to no-one."
As if further amused by her Zanpakuto spirit's words, Cyng chuckled a bit, though her eyes didn't break contact with the man on the other side of the table, chessboard dividing them.
"Well, if you didn't think much about it, then what if there came a time that the Kingdom demanded their King? If you know what I'm edging at here, Your Highness. Tell me, honestly."
"I... wouldn't want to deal with it. I'd rather not have to go through that experience."
"Well, if it's too much of a burden, then perhaps it's better that you go ahead and finalise your move. One shift of your king piece, and the responsibility can be lifted from your shoulders, and never will you have to see the scaffold at the demand of your people."
"But what if he wants to keep the Kingdom, silly? Think about it, Your Highness, about the fatal mistake you may be making."
Adding a sarcastic tone to the words 'your highness', Kroniid couldn't help egging the man on, his cheeks stretched from how wide his smile was.
"There's that as well. If you want to keep the Kingdom, Your Highness, feel free to make a different decision."
"I do want to keep the Kingdom."
"Then change your move."
With that command, Cyng broke their eye contact as her eyes shifted to the chessboard.
"Go on. Let me see what you've got."
"Ah.. uh, yes. Of course."
With that, the man took a few moments before revising his decision, having his King piece take a position different from the previous one. In response, Kroniid's amused face turned to one of disgust.
"And this is why you aren't fit to be king."
With that, Cyng moved her hand forward to her knight piece and re-positioned them to a square perfectly in line with taking down the enemy King piece in the next move, all other exit squares or nearby pieces unable to protect their king in the subsequent move. In essence,
"Checkmate, Your Highness. What a surprise, however; I didn't expect a King to heed someone else's orders--especially since a King is commanded by no-one. Perhaps it's just that the crown doesn't suit you as well as it might myself? I don't think I would have moved my knight in the way I did if you didn't seem so weak-willed, so as to change your decision instead of following your heart. Ironically, it seems as though the King of the Solomon Islands lacks wisdom and resolve."

CYNG | THE WHITE RIDER
Cyng lifted herself from the chair and walked towards the door that led to the balcony, though she stopped right before opening them to look behind her at the man frozen in astonishment from his loss and Cyng's own philosophical quip. That being said, it was a phrase with less heartfelt meaning in it as opposed to just another knock at the man's confidence and pride. It wasn't enough that Cyng would just win the nation and denounce the king by mouth and action; it was necessary that he felt the denouncement. If the king felt his title stripped, naturally the populous would feel it just as well.
From there, with another pleasant smile of amusement, Cyng pushed the double doors open, and the bright sun's blessing flooded into the room to offer a temporary blindness. After that subsided, the clear skies could be seen, below revealing crowds of people gazing up at the balcony Cyng stood on with mixed emotions. Some looked confused, others a bit gleeful, some maybe resentful. It was to be expected though, of course; the people just witnessed their homeland wagered in a bet on a game. They couldn't even fathom what prompted their king to allow this to happen.
Above the mansion was a massive continuously moving image, one now depicting Cyng gripping the handrails of the balcony. The image was so far up and large, you could make out the vague images it displayed from even the shores of the multiple islands. Prior to this, the images had been depicting Cyng engaging in a bet with the King, who for inexplicable reasons accepted the wager, promptly losing the game. All their rhetoric was announced to the whole nation in real-time as well, like some sort of loudspeakers booming across the lands.
Through her [Heart-Force], just like the projections up above, Cyng spoke with her voice amplified enough to reach the masses.
"There you have it, citizens. I'm sure you all have some doubts and confusions on the matters at hand, though I trust time will offer clarity, as time will in due time solve all things. But, I also trust that what you just saw thoroughly proves the incompetence of your previous leader, so I'm sure, with the bar set so low, I won't serve to disappoint you all. That being said, as a re-introduction, I most pleasant present myself:
Cyng Duulheim, the new reigning authority of this nation. I hope you all welcome me warmly as I usher you all into a new and prosperous age in the name of the remade Solomon Sovereignty."
