Re: Way of The Arctic Fist [Rukia/Mirja]

"I understand why I failed, Eeola-senpai. The task you gave me was to see if I would forgo my loved ones for the sake of awakening my inner power; which I did in a moment of experiment. I'll return to you, perhaps in a few days, to show you that I am far more powerful when fueled by the contents of my heart. I'm not willing to give up my humanity like Nii-sama, though I am quite cold when I want to be, if you catch my snow drift," Rukia said, her bell-like laughter chiming once more at the sound of her pun, and she rose to her feet, her cheeks dimpling as a large, warm smile danced across her porcelain, youthful face.
Rukia turned on her heel, heading towards the entrance of the training grounds; her head swivelling atop her neck as she then turned to look over her shoulder, and directly at Mirja, sending her a friendly, playful wink in her wake as her petite form drifted from Mirja's line of sight.

Mirja, The Wolf of Eden
It seemed Mirja underestimated Rukia. She didn't fail through ignorance, she simply wanted to see if she could handle giving everything up, and it turned out that she could not. Or at least didn't want to. Either way, she was much better than that Eiji kid who had barked so very loud at her the moment she failed him, and didn't even slightly realize why he had failed.
"Looks like you are better than I thought. Sorry, I just can't handle the idea of training someone who would give up everything just for some more power. Emotion is what makes a person alive, to discard it, is to discard your life. And I do not teach the dead" She told Rukia, before following her to the door, and seeing her out. "The chill of one's temper is not a bad thing, it is the chill of the Void that should be fought against. Fire and Ice are natural parts of the human temperament. To discard....well, you get where I am going. You don't need a massive lecture. Go, enjoy Vastime, it's a great place" She told Rukia, shooing her out of the door and smirking as she Flash Stepped away, or something like that.
Leaving Mirja, a few days to herself. Which was always good. Now she could really get down to the dirty and see what this new energy was all about. Returning to the center of the building, she spawned Lady Caliburn, the massive construct towering over her, close enough to the ceiling that her long arms could touch it, stretched out, but still fitting in comfortably.
"Gotta wonder what scale Hayden was building this place to if it can fit you in" Mirja muttered, before sitting down, closing her eyes, and opening her mind.

Rukia's idle days had passed leisurely, she ventured throughout the Vastimian territory, eyes alight with curiosity; she hadn't been pestered much by the division, either — perhaps they knew that the Kuchiki woman was off-duty until further notice. Nonetheless, Rukia felt it was time to resume her stead with Mirja in the Vastimian training grounds.
She halted as she rounded upon the entrance to the training grounds, awaiting some sort of permission to enter; but no sound emerged, so the noblewoman took a gander that Mirja was intent on honing her own mental skill for the ability that Mirja had invited Rukia to learn. Her cold, porcelain hand torqued the door latch, opening the portal to the training grounds in a virtually silent manner — that was one of Rukia's strong points, silence — as to not disturb whatever was happening beyond the sterile, metal door.
Rukia entered, her feet autonomously directing her to the center of the training ground where both she and Mirja had sat, mere days before. Her Reiatsu began to flare, its icy bursts of cool air dropping the temperature of the building substantially as she concentrated — returning to the place in her mind's eye where she had failed Mirja's examination, on purpose — but that would not happen again. Upon her arrival, she found Mirja in her seated position, with her legs folded under her. She'd decided not to break Mirja's focus by announcing her arrival, so she too took on a seated position; the very same that she had occupied days earlier.
Rukia stilled her mind, allowing her heart to flood freely with her adoration, love and drive for protecting those she held close, sparking her Reiatsu to create a furious whirlwind of ice around her petite, seated form, that encapsulated the Royal Kuchiki. She opened her brilliant eyes of deep amethyst, her irises barely visible to the naked eye as they constricted with her deadly focus; peering into the whirlwind of her Reiatsu, an object began to form from her Reishi, slowly, and steadily, her waterfall like energy only increasing as she saw that in which she was creating from the very core of her being.

Mirja, The Wolf of Eden
Mirja was sat in the middle of the training ground, focusing on the energy signature she could feel from the Tulpa to herself. It would take a while for her to grasp it, and it only became evident because she had gone through the training so many times. But it felt like water, every time she reached out to grasp it, it floated away from her, and laughed at her attempts. But with determination and guts, she forced her way through the setbacks, until suddenly she was snapped out of her focus by someone's appearance. The massive Tulpa she had created was linked to Mirja's mentality, so when it saw Rukia enter, it's eyes focused on her, and that in turn allowed Mirja to know someone was here, even before she started to flare off her Reiatsu.
"Hey dear. So, I guess you succeeded the first part of it, I should tell you the second. While you do need to let go of your desires mentally, it is only so you can lash them down physically. The bindless peace grants sudden clarity on how to manifest your force of will in the real world. So what used to drive you mentally, now drives you physically. Allowing your desires to take hold on your physical body, and reduce the strain of existing. The spare energy this creates can give you an advantage when you need to be more than your opponent, in the terms of endurance. But, this is only the start. As you can see from Lady Caliburn" Mirja gestured to the massive, hundred-armed woman above her "you can create some serious marvels when you focus. That's a Full Tulpa, however. First you need to focus on your Personal Tulpa, something that is generally connected to your body, and created from your principles"
She dissolved Lady Caliburn, and instead spawned her Six Guns. Six thick, black arms sprouting from her body, took a defensive stance around her, covering the majority of her body and preparing to strike, if needed.

The Royal Kuchiki nodded, inhaling deeply — her gaze wandering from the beginning manifestation of her Personal Tulpa, to that of Mirja's; mesmirized by the inky black arms that sprouted from the woman's figure. They were poised around her, as if they were protecting her. Is this too what Rukia's Tulpa would do? Rukia focused her thoughts inward; her intent binding her drive and love to her flesh in a fusion of unrelenting will: Hisana's sacrifice, Kaien-dono's death, Ichigo, and Nii-sama, all of whom she held dear, all of whom had a profound effect on her, all of whom she wished to protect — all of whom she will protect...
The whirlwind of Rukia's Reiatsu picked up speed, and her Willpower's particles held within its cool stream turned to ice, swirling in a spray of frigid mist to condense around the Shinigami's petite figure — embodying wings of solid, glass-like ice which shone brilliantly as it reflected the light of the training grounds, juxtaposed to Rukia's silhouette just below her shoulderblades.
The frozen wings billowed in the wind that was generated by Rukia's spiritual pressure, curling around her like a protective cocoon. More of the diamond-esque particles condensed in a glittering aura infront of Rukia, taking on the shape of a bird, who encapsulated Rukia in its wings like an angelic halo, awaiting for Rukia to move — for it was Rukia, and would echo her movements like a Hawk anticipating its first strike.

Mirja, The Wolf of Eden
Mirja watched as Rukia began to focus on her own construct. Her reiatsu flared, but that as probably a bi-product of such intense focus. Lacking any Reiatsu of her own, she knew that such was unnecessary for the construction of a Tulpa. It was it's own beast altogether. Mirja dissolved her own while watching Rukia, curious as to what she was going to spawn. Everyone's Tulpa was unique to them alone, which made what was going to come out of it a great mystery, until it did. And exactly how long it would take, was another mystery.
Some people knew themselves very well, and so they did not have to work hard to bring that self to the forefront once shown how. Others, needed great guidance and time, but, as it appeared that Rukia was spawning something very rapidly, she knew herself well. Which was to be expected, she was a veteran of many things, these past four hundred years. And so Mirja waited with bated breath until finally, they broke through. Pretty nice looking as well. A brilliant pair of wings, which she could probably fly with, or use them to protect herself. Either way, they were very nice to look at.
"Well, looks like you have really taken the lessons to heart. Guess I am just an awesome teacher like that" Mirja exclaimed, her chest swelling with self-pride as she looked on at the Tulpa. They would probably have a few hidden tricks about them, like Mirja's fists were actually three times as long as they appeared, and could move like the firing of a gun. "It'll take some time for you to get used to them, like anything. But it's always good to have more tricks up your sleeve. Versatility is the key to victory"

As she heard Mirja's admission, Rukia couldn't help but chuckle to herself, and grin, revealing her perfect, pearly white teeth; her focus, however, unwavering despite her current laughter. Rukia rose to her feet, taking a standing position, where she then nodded her head once; her Tulpa beginning to undulate its wings, as if it were about to take off in flight — cool rushes of air bursting forth from beneath the frozen wings, like an arctic blast.
"Eeola-senpai? Now that it's manifested, what do I do?" The noble woman asked, quite wearily as her Tulpa's wings began to beat with an unmatched power. Lifting Rukia off of the ground, her feet dangled wildly as she attempted to steady herself, hovering 7 meters off of the training ground floor; her eyes widened with both joy and fear.
She reckoned that she must look like a disheveled snow angel.

Mirja, The Wolf of Eden
An eagle, it's wings of pure ice, swooped down from Yggdrasil, and it's breath created Winter for the beings of Midgard. That was what Mirja thought of when seeing Rukia slowly take off with her powerful wings. The second thought was, that if she didn't stop herself, she was going to dink into the roof, so Mirja walked over and her top-most Tulpa reached out, it's arm seeming to grow, and grow until it gently wrapped around Rukia's ankle, providing an anchor for the girl. Reiatsu platforms were not like true flight, and so it could be daunting for her to start.
"Nothing special. Now it's manifested, you just have to learn how to use it. Like anything. There is an additional technique that will come with time, and skill, but for now, you've got a brilliant pair of wings. Think intensely on the memories that you used to manifest it, and in those, the secrets of it's power will be revealed. Generally, kind of self-explanatory, however. I needed to punch some guy a lot, so I got fists. They can have some hidden secrets, but they will come with time" Mirja explained, looking up and then realizing Rukia was directly above her, so she quickly looked down again.
"So yea. Just don't neglect your training on it, work on it, feel it, believe that you can ascend to new heights, and you'll develop your Full Tulpa in no time. Just, be careful, if anything makes you forget the peace you power it with, then you will not be able to create it. It's like if someone steals the bricks you make with a wall, you can no longer make a wall. Just keep that in mind, and you'll be fine"

"Do you mind if I train with you?" She asked timidly, her cheeks tinging with slight traces of pink as her Tulpa's wings beat slower, and less frequently — allowing Rukia to float back down onto the ground with grace, accompanied by the subtle, "woosh," of her wings. Once planted firmly on the ground, Rukia's Tulpa opened its wings, before closing them, encapsulating Mirja in their midst.
The Shinigami then opened her arms, beckoning to capture Mirja in a firm, tight hug; a gesture of thanks. "Did you create this technique? The Tulpas? They're utterly fascinating..." She trailed off, gazing in awe at the large, transluscent wings of ice that surrounded the two of them, like an exquisite ice sculpture that glittered as the light refracted from its many facets, shooting traces of rainbows around the training hall.

Mirja, The Wolf of Eden
Mirja guided Rukia to the ground with her Tulpa, and then dissolved them, deciding to give her a bit of advice from experience.
"Don't leave your Tulpa up too long. Generally, you can survive an hour or three, so there is no limit in a combat situation, but if you have it created too long, you'll start to feel tired and sluggish even if your body is still active, and the disparity can be confusing. What you have made is basically a thought, that you have willed into existence. Keep it around to long and you'll exhaust your brain. As for the training, well....there isn't much else I can show you. It's created with your mind, and fueled by your tenacity, your willpower, your drive to go onwards and never give in. So training is mostly a solo thing. You can have someone around to tell you you look beautiful and that you are doing well and all the rest, but unless you have a crippling need for your ego to be stoked, then it isn't something that is needed" She told Rukia, before stretching out some more. She needed to go find a wasteland to try her new concepts.
"As for if I made it, well. That's a complex question. I did, and didn't. The Kata, which is basically what I just showed you to achieve peace and kickstart the whole Mind Manifestation thing, was put into a basic first stage by a guy called Ashigoi Kazuri. However, that was all there was, there was no elaboration. if you followed it to the letter, you wouldn't get anywhere, and so I took some creative liberties and made the Tulpa. I get the feeling that is what he was expecting, making the skeleton Kata as something that was meant to stimulate creativity"
