Weeb trains a girl for the first time

Many people have come and gone from this place. It has been subject to all kinds of skills born from many humans. Ranging from the divine to the humble. People that could shake the heavens or just kick up the dust from the road. Swings of punches and kicks that could crack even bones or some so weak it couldn't even hurt a child.

In the path to reach the pinnacle, many Humans have come here to hone themselves. Despite the fact that there was a trend where the truly strong had a trend of attaining their level of power in private, there were also those who obtained precious experience or enlightenment in a public area. Right now, a single man was strolling through the field in an attempt to do that.

Black hair , brown eyes, a young but somewhat masculine figure and a water bottle. He looked like a teenager to others, but still commanded some level of respect.

Which was good, because he was trying to train with others. Whenever he came across someone he visualized herself fighting that person. Then, he would ask to train with that person. Sparring over and over, he tried to see through the minds of those around her. He tried to see how they developed.

This man knew that what he lacked the most was 'a route of development'. Although he knows the basics of taewkondo, he wanted to improve his skills at it even further while also teaching newcomers the fighting style. He was not in a hurry, but he was not in high spirits either, having spent such a long time without obtaining an answer.

Taking care not to get in the way of anybody's training, the man, Matthew, searched for anybody who stood out.

If standing out was what Matthew was looking for then he was probably going to walk straight past Illiana. Everything about her basically screamed 'ignore me', from her average looking cloths to the fact that practically any normal human in the area would see a whole lot of nothing where she was. Well, not exactly nothing, more like some random person they knew liked to sit at the bench she was at, or even a random pidgin that they might expect to see in the park.

This of course would be no obstacle to the mildly aware weeb so instead he would see a girl, absentmindedly staring at the sun and occasionally glancing around to try and see what she could see from those training around the grounds. It wasn't so much that she was interested in learning how to fight, far from it actually, but she did like the idea of getting to know many different moves in the event that she'd have to hightail it away from some fight somewhere. Generally her mother was able to keep her away from such situations but there was always the odd chance.

Illy checked her watch curiously, wondering how much longer she'd have to wait here while her mother was off doing the business that had brought them here. It wasn't exactly 'here' that she'd been left to wait, but this place wasn't far off and it wasn't like she was disallowed from wandering around. Her mother had the tendency to be able to seek her out easily enough anyway. Everyone around seemed to have some idea of what they were doing out here and the young woman was somewhat enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Part of her had to wonder why her mother didn't just try and have them live here after how long they'd been working on the road.

Turning his gaze that way, he saw some people doing their daily bench press or punching a dummy for several minutes on end. After looking around for a few minutes finally found "the one" a small girl waiting around the gym, perhaps waiting for a training partner?. But judging by appearance, it was clear she didn't look like much of a fighter. Well, it was understandable since this place is usually filled with buff men who's arms were so big you swore they were taking steroids, Even then, Matthew isn't the type of guy who goes all out especially on women usually holding back half the time afraid of either breaking a tooth or hurting their delicate faces.

Matthew decided to decipher of what he should do, in typical anime or manga the protagonist would mesmarize the woman with his smooth charm or good lucks, however matthew didn't met any of those criteria's he was geeky and didn't felt like the "charmer".

Matthew hasn't really taled to girls much, hell the only actual interaction he had with a woman was his mother of all people. In order to calm himself down he slapping himself in the face. "Get a hold of yourself man!, just walk up to her and ask" matthew then took a deep breath and exhaled and walked towards the girl.
"Excuse me ma'am, you looking for a sparring partner?" he asked with a nervous look on his face

Though the day was nice and calm there only had to be one interruption to turn the entire situation on its head. Illiana hadn't exactly expected to be approached by anyone and the fact that Matthew did surprised her greatly. Glancing up at the young man she tilted her head slightly, wondering what exactly he was here for. It was clear that he was approaching her but the reasons as to why escaped her, at least until he opened his mouth.

"What? Oh, no." Illy laughed lightly for a moment, "Though I can see why you'd assume that. I'm not much of a combatant sadly so I'd be rather useless." Still looking up towards the young man, Illy stood and stretched slightly, unsure if he was still in need of her. "If you still want to I guess we could give it a go? I've had no training in anything, unless teaching yourself how to run and hide counts?" The young woman laughed at that, showing that she was only joking, though her words were entirely accurate.

"Do you have the patience for that?"

Although the young lady wasn't much of a fighter matthew still wanted to train with her, after all he didn't wanna get demolished instantly by somebody bigger and stronger then him.
At least with her they'll be on equal footing once he shows her the basics.

Matthew chuckled at the young lady's remark, reminding him of himself when he was younger whenever he got into a fight with a bully he'd either run away or cry on the floor. So he could relate to her in a sense "i've been in the exact same situtation as you, not being much of a fighter but rather focusing on my studies. The reason why i even took taekwondo is because of learning a few self-defense tatics and possibly learning how to disarm an opponent.

"Of course ma'am i have much patience, after all you can't learn a skill in a day or two it takes either weeks or even months to fully master it."

Matthew wondered if he was babbling off too much information to her, and not really focusing on starting the actual training regiment. "Alright then, are you ready to learn some basic taekwondo moves?" he said

Illiana couldn't help but glance nervously away from the young man when he mentioned studies. While her mother had ensured she was taught most of the basics of the world, she wouldn't exactly refer to such knowledge and learning as 'studies'. At least, not in the way Matthew clearly meant it.

"Yes, well. Thankfully I haven't needed it yet, and hopefully I never will, but it's not like I'm doing anything else right now so why not?" The young woman looked expectantly at Matthew, waiting for him to lead the way to wherever it was that this place would allow for such training. Not exactly being a local meant she was at a distinct disadvantage in this situation. "I don't exactly have that long to learn though, so maybe stick to the most basic basics you can?"

Still standing ready and waiting by the somewhat excitable young man, Illiana continued to face him, waiting for him to realise that he, as the teacher, was supposed to take the lead. There was nothing much she could do to right now and her face was beginning to openly questioning as she looked his way. "Well, I said yes and am waiting. Lead the way?"

"My apologizes now let's begin, first i'mma teach you the straight punch. The straight punch is self-explanatory and is pretty easy to learn. Now i want you to take two step back from me, so you want accidently hit me."

"The first thing you must know is how to make a proper fist, first you must bring your fingers and tighten your knuckles down. Then your thumb and cover your first two fingers, think of your punch like a spear thrusting through your opponent."  

"The most important thing you must remember about the straight punch is that you must make contact with your target before you have extended arm fully.  The reason for this is so that your punch reaches its target as close as possible. This allows more momemtum and force driven into your target."

"Let's say my target is standing right in front of me, and i want to execute the straight punch like i said you must tighten your knuckles making sure your thumbs cover your first two fingers."

Matthew then took a deep breath, slowly inhalind and exhaling, finally executing the straight punch, it may not look much but it's very helpful in keeping distance from you and your opponent.

Illiana nodded her understanding, but was quite surprised when Mathew instantly got into the role of teacher. She'd half expected the young man to lead her away from the bench she'd been sitting on and take her to some location properly designed for learning fighting moves. But no, right here seemed to suit him fine so Illy wouldn't question it.

"Alright" she acknowledge, taking a few steps back and balling her and into a fist, "I've never had to hit someone before but my sister did teach me how not to hurt myself."

The young woman held her hand out to Matthew to check over, showing a mostly acceptable technique, though her thumb was a bit lower than it really should have been. She'd never really considered how to punch someone beyond making sure she didn't break her hand with the motion, so his next few words were rather interesting. She watched the young man's motions carefully, wondering just how hard he was able to hit something with that technique. Illy didn't want to have to find out personally, but she was curious.

"Wait, a spear? If you keep your arm too straight can't you break it?" she asked in confusion, not entirely following the logic of the instruction. She extender her arm out, locking her elbow as example but then tried to emulate the motions that Matthew had shown a few moments earlier to see how much better that was.

"Maybe I'm just confusing myself?"

"No your doing great, i just didn't explain the whole spear and hand thing very well."

"What i mean by using your fist similar to a spear is that in order to increase the penetration power or stopping power of your punch, you must only use the first two knuckles on your fist. We're not going to use the last two knuckles (our pinkie and our ring finger) for those are considered weak and won't benefit much."
The reason why were only using the first two knuckles which are our index and middle finger is because were going to concentrate as much force onto the surface area of our punch. He explained in detail

Actually to make it more realistic for you i'll offer myself to be a practice dummy, makes it much easier to see if it's a live target. And if i either tremble to the ground or have blood gushing from my mouth that means you've used the straight punch to it's fullest potential. "Now come on hit me" as he pointed to his cheek

"Oh" Illiana replied, unsure what else to say. She stared down at her fist for a moment, wondering exactly how this would work out and looking over the shape her fingers made. It was mostly as he'd said, though as she looked her hand decided to cramp up so she let go and shook it out before clenching it again.

"It seems a bit odd honestly, but I guess I can see the logic. Is this how most people punch without even realising it?" she asked curiously, thinking back to the odd dustup she'd seen between individuals over the years. She'd never got close enough to see exactly how they punched, but this did seem odd.

When the topic of hitting her so called instructor came to light Illy just stared at him in confusion. Sure hitting him would be a good way to get a feel for it, but surly a place like this had a few padded training dummies or something that would be more appropriate than his face.

"Isn't there something else I could try this on? If you don't have access to any of the equipment at the very least a softer, less sensitive part of your body would make more sense..." she trailed off, looking away from the odd man. She wasn't the strongest person around so it was unlikely to do any serious damage, but she really didn't want to hit the guy.
