Karakura City... it had been so long since since Toshiko had been in her home; quite a long time actually. She wasn't here for a good 12 years before she returned. And not even a year later she had already left to go and visit Sofia. Who would've known it would have turned into a demon fighting adventure. A demon fighting adventure indeed, well, more like protecting Sofia from some demons that were trying to kill her and her family. Luckily, both were safe in the end, but, it was still quite the experience. But, she never got to see Sofia then. And now, she had again found her, asked her to come to her house; and there she was waiting. Toshiko let Sofia get there first since she needed to attend to some things. Like visiting her parents briefly. However, she didn't stick around with them for long as she had to get to her house quickly. So, with a quick goodbye to the loving parents who had made sure she was always safe in the past, she was off to her own house.

As Toshiko walked through the streets of Karakura City, Toshiko kept a wary hand on the strap of her bag; her Gatling gun. As she walked around she kept an eye out for people around her; forever paranoid. But, she still had the walk and More Duck that just oozed immense levels of confidence that kept most people off of her anyways. As she walked, she thought of her past; of Sofia. What her mind went to was the first time she trained with Sofia in fist fighting. She was attempting to teach her it so she could know how to fight without her violin if needed, but, whenever she tried to throw a punch her hand would... well, it would go off track and do some rather inappropriate things that she did not understand at the time. However, things were different now and she knew what it was and why she did such things.

She continued her quick walk to her house, reflecting on the past. The music she heard from Sofia when she played, all the times they did things together, all the times Toshiko accidentally violated her... Such great memories, wouldn't you say~? Toshiko came to a stop in front of her door, sensing Sofia was already inside. Toshiko looked from side to side and then slowly unlocked the door and opened it. She closed, and locked, the door behind her and walked off towards her room. She grabbed a couple of things; minor artifacts that would just help her control herself. Maybe.

Soon enough, Toshiko started to walk towards the area where she sensed Sofia's energy trace coming from. The exact place they could train in this house; which was good since they needed it if they decided to train. Toshiko slowly gained a grin on her face as she thought about groping Sofia's backside. She really did wonder if it was even softer than it had been in the past. So, why not break the ice with a little squeeze~? She quieted her steps and hid her reiatsu as much as possible before she used her Hirenkyaku to disappear and flit to the area where Sofia was.

While Toshiko is not a stealth master, she knew how to surprise someone when she needed to. She was a pervert, a pervert for Sofia. She had to know how to do this stuff and not get caught until her hands are resting on her target. Toshiko activated her sunglasses to pinpoint Sofia's location. With a very quick Hirenkyaku, as fast as she could manage, she appeared behind Sofia and quickly attempted to grab her supple backside. Of course, such a thing may not be successful, given both of them were pretty powerful. But, she did make sure to have a backup if Sofia nearly escaped. What may that backup be? Another Hirenkyaku mixed with a little reishi control to create a small distraction as she went for the target. Whether or not she was able to get Sofia's backside into her grip, and squeeze it, she would speak to her.

"Hey Hime, long time no see eh~? Nice backside by the way, I think it's even better than before~"

She would then grin at Sofia, the girl she teased and loved so, but, her words would be halted after 'Hime' if she grabbed somewhere else besides her backside, but, hopefully such an accident would not happen. Well, not like she wouldn't be unhappy about it, she would have just missed her original target is all. Toshiko had missed Sofia so, and just a single grope really would tell her how much.

It had been a long time since Sofia had seen Toshiko. In a way, part of her wanted to believe there were good and bad things to that. Toshiko had been a childhood friend of hers for several years. The two of them stemmed from rather long lines of prestigious pure Quincy heritage. With as few of their kind as there were left, it made sense that the families made a conscious effort to keep the remnants together to foster friendship and animosity between them. From an early age however, she believed her friend had developed a little more than friendship for her. The perverted behavior Toshiko displayed most often got on her nerves. Regardless, she did little more than scold her from time to time. Despite her largely lusty attitude, Sofia was aware that she was beloved. Perhaps a bit more, and in a different way than she preferred, but she had come to treasure her friendship nonetheless.

As such, she didn’t think twice about the thought of meeting her friend once again. The two of them had been recruited into the Vandenreich as an effort to rebuild the Quincy race and push them forward. Sofia had been elected as the Captain of the Jagdarmee, and Toshiko as the Captain of the Daten. They were both rather prestigious positions that benefited from their power, and the peculiar sets of skills that separated them and defined them among the rest. The only real struggle for the musical prodigy would be to keep Toshiko in line, and allow her to discern the difference between fun and work, and the necessity to display respect and professionalism in one, leaving less tasteful actions elsewhere.

Yea, its just as big as I remember, she thought to herself as she descended into the enormous chamber of Toshiko’s family mansion.

The place had been used in the past for training or so she had heard. The walls had been reinforced to contain even the strongest of attacks, and it could likely sustain some of the best forces they could muster as well. Whether on her own, or when her beloved friend arrived, Sofia was intent on putting the facility to a test. If she had her way, she would try and check with Toshiko how their abilities had improved since childhood. And if time allowed, perhaps she could even get a chance to show her some of the newest musical pieces she had learned to play.

And so, closing her eyes, she took a deep breath, a smile drawn across her facial expression. Sofia seemed relaxed, lost in thought as she imagined herself training with the specific movements and sets of maneuvers she rehearsed. It was a habit of hers to visualize her training before actually doing so, to make it easier to follow along. The same way she rehearsed her music before playing the make the actual transition much smoother. In her own relaxation however, she had dismissed the spiritual signal from her friend. The walls did a great deal to dampen what could be felt beyond it. And the setup and construction of the place even limited what sounds could be filtered from beyond the walls. When Sofia heard the most subtle of footsteps, she would turn on her heels as quick as she could. Upon turning, she would witness Toshiko reaching forward, effectively grazing and holding her thigh perhaps out of the sudden movement.

“Toshiko! What were you even aiming for??”

Her question did not even merit an answer as she was painfully aware of what her friend had aimed for. However, some things were best not thought about too much.

“Honestly, behave.”

Her words were scolding in nature, but she didn’t seem too upset nonetheless. She hadn’t even pushed her off her thigh. Perhaps that would serve as its own worthy excuse for a hug. Regardless however, reaching behind her, Sofia would grab one of her seele schneider and attempt to smack her friend with the butt end of her seele atop her head.

”That’s not where you hug.”

As was usual lately, Sofia sported white pants that enhanced the feminine look of her thighs and her large, shapely derriere. A white top with a v-like cut meant to enhance the shape and size of her bosom was covered by a short but fashionable white jacket, all in accordance to the colors of her organization.

“You’re a Captain, behave better.”

Nevertheless, as she said so, she would pull gently on one of her cheeks, and nuzzle it softly with her thumb. A soft willing smile would eagerly accompany the gesture. Despite her scolding, she was clearly happy to see Toshiko, and even happier to share that moment there with her.

With a chuckle, and a little disappointment, her hand barely missed Sofia's backside, basically grazing it, and clamped onto her thigh. Well, she wasn't too disappointed as that still gave her an opportunity to grasp Sofia's back side quickly. However, she wasn't going to let go of Sofia's thigh at this point and chuckled again as she heard Sofia tell her to behave. She grinned and kept herself from doing anything else like kissing her cheek or something; didn't need to do that. She grinned and nuzzled against Sofia slightly, before her head was hit, and spoke.

"What? You want me to behave? Come on, Sofia. We're alone here, a better time for me to not behave where no one else but you and I can see it--Ow..."

Just as she finished her sentence she felt the Seele Schneider collide with the top of her head. Not hard enough to hurt excessively, but, hard enough that it made her hat fall off of her head; revealing the rest of her brown hair. It wasn't a mess actually. Normally it would be a mess under the hat, but, it was well kept for currently and tamed nicely; for once. It would be a surprise to Sofia, but, a sign how exactly important this was to Toshiko; to see the one she loved after so long. Toshiko let another chuckle escaped her lips as she kept her hand on Sofia's thigh. She kept chuckling at Sofia's remark, nearly breaking out into laughter, until Sofia's hand suddenly rested on Toshiko's cheek. Her face wouldn't heat up much, but, it would feel a little warm as Toshiko smiled brightly and used her free hand to take off her sunglasses; revealing her beautiful brown eyes.

"Haha!! I know that's not how one hugs, Sofia. You should know how I am by now and I mean no harm~... and was that smack really necessary?"

she grinned once more at Sofia before, with a quick motion, she groped her ass with the hand that was on her thigh and the appeared in front of her and pulled her into a tight hug. Sofia may have enough time to avoid the grope, but, hopefully she wouldn't avoid the extremely fond hug; that actually had no intention of groping behind it. Toshiko smiled at Sofia and then rested her chin on Sofia's shoulder and spoke to her again, her tone no longer teasing.

"Thank you for coming Sofia... I really have missed you far too much..."

She would soon break from the hug and smile sweetly at Sofia, her sunglasses hanging from one of her pockets. Her hat was also on the ground still, but, she was a little focused on Sofia currently. She soon returned the same gesture Sofia made to her, a hand on her cheek and a nuzzling thumb. She soon removed her hand though and put her hands in her pockets, to restrain herself from more touching.

"So, what do ya wanna do, Sofia~? Training like you wished or do you want to catch up a little; groping not included."

She chuckled a little, making a slightly playful comment as Toshiko rested her hands on her hips, waiting for Sofia to reply. However, she did get distracted for a little but as she stared into Sofia's eyes she noticed something. Something so minute that she probably wouldn't have noticed it earlier while she was trying to plant her hands on the soft rump of Sofia Montero...

Did she somehow get even more beautiful? Like, damn.

THE QUINCY PRODIGY

Artist: Joe Hisaishi - Song: Howl's Moving Castle

Bringing a hand to the side of her head, Sofia needed a moment to stop, think, and perhaps reconsider the situations and the friends she had made along the way. More often than not, it was difficult to discern when Toshiko was being serious, and when she was simply playing around. For the sake of her own sanity, she liked to believe her friend was simply in a near perpetual state of friendly childlessness that skirted into a rather adult and perverted territory. Although she was no angel, the musical prodigy knew there was a fine line between almost everything that was done. On occasions, she did enjoy the rather odd and immature behavior from her beloved friend. On other scenarios however, she sort of wished she was able to separate the fun for fun instances, and the serious for more serious occasions. Perhaps it wasn’t Toshiko that was at fault however; maybe it was her. They were both at her house, alone and away from the duties they were tasked with on the daily. If there was a time for fun then that would be the perfect opportunity. Alas, her sense and idea of fun was likely extremely different from Toshiko’s, even if their mind did dwell on the lewd, the musical prodigy’s much less often than her childhood friend.

“Yes.” She responded after being asked about the smack. “Yes it was.”

Perhaps she had been a little tougher on her friend than she should’ve. While she would like her to display the professionalism and tact expected of their positions in the Vandenreich, they were both still very young in comparison to people like Niflheim. Her look of momentary apologetic vibe was quickly let go however, as Toshiko would move suddenly, groping her butt before she had a chance to notice.

“Dam it Toshiko.”

While not utterly upset, she was clearly displeased at the behavior. Perhaps a side of her didn’t dislike it all that much, but alas, the side that reigned over her personality was very vocal in her distaste for the behavior. Had it been anyone else, they would already been kicked, slashed, and shot at best. Her friend’s only saving grace was the long history they had together. However, even that was not an excuse to behave in such a way. She knew better than to attempt that in front of her men, lest she dared place their friendship in peril. Still, that didn’t mean she could behave pervertedly at every passing second when they were alone. While she understood, to a point, the fixation she had with the ebony haired musician, there were better ways to show interest. Nevertheless, Sofia liked to believe she never did anything to purposely provoke or entice her friend to behave or feel the way she did. While she had been aware for years somewhat of her feelings, her own interactions had never displayed anything more than friendly affection. That wasn’t to say that deep down there wasn’t a chance at something with the possibility of blossoming however. It simply meant Toshiko’s own take on her feelings had been caused by her, and her alone.

Her momentary distaste for the groping was quickly silenced when she was pulled into the tight hug. Though surprised at first, she would pull her friend closer, running her hand gently down the length of her hair. It was difficult to stay mad at her friend for long, even if her behavior did indicate the possibility of the same feeling repeating itself. Still, she could only wish that with time, whatever feelings she had bottled up inside would evolve and mature along with herself into an individual that, though still being herself was a bit more tactful and aware.

”Nilfheim spoke to you about the prototype? I brought the blueprints she provided me. We are to assist her in any way we can.”

Niflheim, along with the rest of the Captains were working on a new technology to create and improve Quincy travel. It was a form of technique not unlike the Garganta used by the Arrancar or the Shadows used by the Demons. It was more akin to a door of light, or a heaven’s gate. It was still on its early stages, but there was much the two of them could contribute to it. Niflheim had the experience. Toshiko had the prodigious skill in technology. And Sofia had the prodigious artistic mind to help them all create something befitting of the Quincy.

”That can wait however, I have something else in mind first.”

With a subtle wink, Sofia would retrieve a still deactivated seele schneider. Most likely, she wanted to have a spar to test how well and how far Toshiko had come on her training. The facility made it ideal as a fast paced, combat environment. Still, it wasn’t an all out battle meant to maim each other, it was simply a spar, even if their displays of power could potentially indicate otherwise had anyone else been watching. And, if she was lucky, Sofia could perhaps treat her to something nice if she performed well and beyond; maybe music.

The soft rump of Sofia Montero had been successfully groped; mission accomplished.

"Hehe~ Sorry Sofia, I'll stop for now... or try to at least~"

Toshiko smiled softly after she had pulled her old friend into that tight hug. Despite all the fooling around she did with the girl, her feelings were true and her devotion real. She just liked to have a little fun to hopefully lighten the mood. Of course, that didn't always work as it would sometimes make Sofia a little mad if it was in the wrong situation. Sofia was probably afraid of the possibility of Toshiko doing something like that in front of her troops. Toshiko really hoped she had more faith in her than that. Despite her perverse nature she was still intelligent enough to know that doing such a thing can cause issues with troops. Hell, her own troops are only scared of Toshiko because she hacked into a custom-made firewall in a couple of seconds with her cellphone. Yes, her cellphone. Surprised the troops of Daten enough that they were just immediately terrified by her capabilities. Course, she told them was the issue was in the end. The firewall had a huge backdoor in the computer system that they did not block; allowing her to get past it. Child's play. But, she is now Daten's personal penetration tester along with it's captain.

But, that was to worry about at a later time. Now she had to be focused on spending time with Sofia, time that involved light groping and Toshiko teasing her a little. Only a little, she wasn't gonna go overboard and piss off her friend; last thing she wanted to do. So, Toshiko decided to put aside groping for now and pay more attention to the hand that was running through her hair. It was Sofia's hand of course, and it was so comforting Toshiko had to try hard not to lean on Sofia. Her friend already held enough weight upon her shoulders, she didn't need Toshiko to be lying against them; right now. But, the hand on her hair was still nice enough that Toshiko lost herself in the moment a little, her own hand lightly drifting through Sofia's hair as the moment engulfed her.

If anything was Toshiko's weakness, it was Sofia. Reason why? If she touched her in the right place Toshiko could fall over from shock, freeze from the unexpected touch from the one she loves, or she could do what she is doing now; lose herself in the moment. Of course, she could override this if either of them were in situations that could result in injury for one or the other. In a sense, she was both her weakness and her strength. She drove her to be strong out of want to protect, but, that was only because Toshiko was as stubborn as a mule and wouldn't give up until there was absolutely no chance of winning; even then she would give it her all. However, she would probably soon get a chance to strengthen herself even more for the sake of Sofia; in the future.

Speaking of Sofia, she was speaking to Toshiko; which broke Toshiko out of being lost in the moment. She listened closely to her friend and then thought on what she was saying. Sure, it could be done. She had the money, resources, and Daten. All she needed was to see the bloody thing and she would hopefully be able to tell what she may need to do with it. However, that didn't seem to be Sofia's plan currently, no. She wanted to do something else, and it seemed to be training; to tell how far Toshiko had come along in such a short time. Sofia may be a little surprised by what she can do now, and a little surprised with her mastery over Vollstandig. But, that was for another time as Sofia was obviously only concerned about basic combat and nothing so destructive or advanced. With a grin, Toshiko spoke to Sofia.

"Ah yes, I remember that... And really~? Can't wait to see what else you have in mind~"

Toshiko's grin grew a little wider as she slowly let go of Sofia, her hand leaving the back of her head and hair, and placed a hand on the shoulder strap of Zerstörung; her spiritual weapon. The grin never left her face as she watched Sofia draw a inactive Seele Schneider. Unfortunately, Toshiko didn't really follow traditional norms when it came to Quincy gear. She may have one or two Seele Schneiders lying around somewhere, but, she didn't exactly keep em lying around. So, she simply adjusted the strap of Zerstörung so it wouldn't fall off and she raised her fists, her sunglasses coming off and being placed in a safe area. Toshiko grinned as her brown eyes locked onto Sofia's own eyes.

"Go ahead and make the first move, Sofia, if you're intending what I think you are~"

With the grin growing wider, Toshiko prepared herself for light combat with Sofia; hopefully Toshiko wouldn't go overboard. Well, she wouldn't as long as Sofia didn't bet anything. If she did, all bets were off. Regardless, Toshiko would make sure not to hurt her. However, the results of this training session has yet to be seen, so, only time could tell what may happen; and Toshiko may be just a little impatient right now. Best not keep her waiting.

THE QUINCY PRODIGY

Artist: Anastasia Soina - Song: Try Everything

”Oh,” she said with a smile as her eyesight shifted downwards in a rather unique fashion.
”I have many things in mind.”

It frankly took her a second to notice the honestly unintended double meanings that were so effortlessly embedded into her word. It seemed that despite her best efforts, the lewd and perverted mentality of her friend had a habit of rubbing off on people, even if she made clear and noticeable attempts to behave accordingly.

”I mean I have discovered quite a few techniques, and improved on quite a few things.”

The clarification seemed not only beneficial but rather necessary. Her beloved childhood friend had a bad habit of confusing reality, and alter it to fit her her more deranged and perverted views. If Sofia gave her even the slightest chance to continue on her frantic and depraved thoughts, it would be difficult for her to stop or to avoid pursuing a situation that would just end in nervousness, embarrassment, and regret for the musical prodigy. Regardless, Sofia wouldn’t push the matter or the notion of her previous statement any farther. Instead, she seemed intent on testing out the skills she had amassed in the last few years and in discovering just how far Toshiko had come herself. They were both skilled and experienced for their age although in very different fields. It was a good way to continuously push each other to be stronger, and better suited to handle the tasks and duties they had as Captains of the Vandenreich.

”Honestly,” she sighted before igniting her seele, and using her free hand to seemingly fix a wrinkle on the back of her shirt.

”You make it seem as if I always did the same thing. But anyways, here, catch.”

With a smile, one could not have possibly foreseen the intent Sofia had at the time. For all one knew, she could have been tossing a gift, a teddy bear, or a napkin. Instead of those however, Toshiko would notice the Quincy prodigy had tossed a ginto tube instead. Most likely however, especially given how close they were standing to each other, by the time she had noticed it would be too late. The ginto would react with the spiritual energy in the air, creating an explosion that was akin to a grenade. By the time of the explosion however, Sofia would have safely made her way away from it, as had been her calculated plan from the start. Making use of the speed and hirenkyaku she was so well known for, the famous musician would be speeding throughout the large training grounds in what would hardly look more discernable than a blur. Not only did it make it difficult to find her, let alone catch up to her, but any attempts would be met by the swift edge of the seele she held in one of her hands. For some reason, her free hand held onto a number of ginto, although the reason or their purpose had not been clearly stated at the time. What was clear however, was that Toshiko needed to be serious in their friendly spar, unless she wished to end it more painful than it should have. However, all in good taste.

Though she probably wouldn’t say it just yet, Sofia was enjoying herself. She didn’t really mind the groping as much as she said she did, but it was the right thing in her mind to be against it. She was however much more content with the expectations she had for the spar. Very few people were able to match her in strength, and her friend was one of the few. Beyond that, she was a Quincy too. It was paramount to continue getting stronger as it would only strengthen the Quincy cause and their resolve and trek towards their goals. She was excited for the results of training, excited for the future they could create for the Vandenreich, and the effects their actions would have on the Human world at large.

It Feels Like it's Been so Long... [Private: Sofia Montero] 6EdIfMt

Artist: Kraddy - Song: Heart Anthem (Cryptex Remix) - Word Count: 945

Toshiko's grin continued to stay on her face, not leaving or shrinking for one second as she continued to look at Sofia. Her hand reached into her pocket and slipped her sunglasses on; leaving her hat on the ground. Her grin grew for a moment when Sofia said she had many things in mind; making her chuckle under her breath from the accidental double entendre. She smiled at Sofia quite sweetly, obviously sincere, as Sofia corrected herself. She wasn't flustered, but, it felt nice to know that Sofia had not forgotten Toshiko's aspects; it made her happy. Of course, she meant skills and abilities. She had a feeling Sofia meant that, but, it would've been nice to tease her a little; luckily she knew Toshiko's antics well enough to correct herself. Again, this made Toshiko smile, a sincere smile, as she was glad Sofia knew her so well. However, she soon let the smile fade to be replaced with a rather neutral look as she prepared to fight.

"Glad you still know me so well, Sofia~"

She chuckled again and then returned to a more serious nature when Sofia ignited her Seele Schneider. However, the serious nature was still bolstered by large amounts of self-confidence. This means that Toshiko could throw herself into a situation that could hurt... a lot. So, with a slight sigh, Toshiko prepared her robot, her Gatling gun, her Vollstandig, and her fists; waiting for Sofia to catch. However, he did not attack, she threw a ginto tube towards her. Toshiko raised an eyebrow before her eyes widened and she spoke.

"Aww, Shit."

In an attempt to dampen the explosion as much as possible, she made a quick reishi barrier that shattered once the explosion hit it. This kept at least half of the explosion from Toshiko, the other half forcing her back a little. Meanwhile, the shattered reishi shield had hardened enough to send out small shrapnel; which scratched Toshiko's cheeks enough to draw a tiny amount of blood. She tapped her left cheek where the scratch was an sighed; flicking the blood off of her finger. She sighed softly and grabbed her back and pressed her finger to the release on the bag; causing it to deploy into it's Gatling Gun form. Toshiko tapped the side of her glasses as her left foot came forwards and she obtained a heavy stance.

Toshiko's grin finally returned to her face as the barrel of her Gatling gun started to spin as her glasses provided partial visual aid on where Sofia was; giving her a better shot. Literally. So, with a grin on her face as tiny streams of blood came from her left and right cheeks; Toshiko's fingers fondled the trigger of her Gatling gun.

"Alright, I get it. You want me to be serious? I'll be serious~"

She chuckled as she pulled the trigger of her Gatling gun and reishi bullets sprayed out of the barrel flying for Sofia in a rather accurate manner. However, Toshiko did anticipate that Sofia will use her master over Reishi to redirect the bullets so they would not hit. So, as soon as the bullets were close enough, Toshiko would create a minor explosion with the reishi that makes up the reishi bullets. While the explosion won't be all that destructive, it will be disorienting enough to cause some confusion and possible drop in accuracy. However, it may not be too effective given Sofia's own reishi manipulation abilities.

Next, Toshiko used reishi manipulation again to create fakes of herself as she started to flit around the room using her Hirenkyaku; going to the the higher limit of her speed with the skill. It was uncertain how well this would work. Also, Toshiko was also being a little pervers, as normal, and was thinking that she should try to sneak in a single grope to possibly get a little advantage on Sofia. However, such a thing may not work as Sofia was definitely focused on the task at hand. So, Toshiko would do nothing of the sort and she would wait. Doing so now was not a good idea. She was perfectly aware and Toshiko had no idea how effective her little reishi trick would be with her sort of duplicates. While they were accurate in appearance, they weren't always accurate in levels of reiatsu; well fake reiatsu. Either way, they could be seen through as they were not perfect.

Toshiko also continued to fire as she flitted around the room; emptying 600 rounds from her Gatling gun a minute. If Toshiko was lucky, she was moving fast enough that it seemed like she was firing from all around Sofia. However, this was not perfect; nor were her reishi clones. Each of them looked exactly how they should, but, they did not have the scratched on Toshiko's cheeks. If anything gave her away, it would be that. However, Sofia's eyes would need to be sharp to notice that.

Regardless of how Sofia felt about the groping, frankly Toshiko hoped she didn't hate it otherwise she'd feel like shit, Toshiko was having a nice time. A smile was on her face as she continued to spin around her childhood friend; her love interest. Toshiko hoped she could tell her one day, but, not even her confidence would be able to help her with that... However, it was not the time to dwell, yet, it was the time to fight and the time to have a little bit of fun.

THE QUINCY PRODIGY

Artist: Rihanna - Song: This Is Why You Came For [Violin]

The training had started rather oddly. Her grenade, a specifically designed technique based on her passion to create ingenuity from the ginto had been blocked with more ease than she had expected. Beyond that, Toshiko didn’t seem to have used anything more than trivial and flimsy bonds of reishi to accomplish it. Frankly, it didn’t make sense at all. But it didn’t matter all that much. Further into the battle, Sofia would make sure to test her grenades again to ensure they weren’t malfunctioning. If her future plans were to be seen through, her beloved friend would required calculated defensive measures to avoid the explosions or otherwise risk an untimely and rather unfortunate set of injuries.

The grenade had accomplished something however. The most subtle of cuts had managed to draw just a streak of blood. It wasn’t anything serious however. And, even if it had been, following the battle, both of them possessed the means to deal with and recuperate from injuries. And so, there was simply no need to hold back in battle. Save for injuries that were grievous and fatal in nature, they should be able to be looked at and healed in due time from anything below that threshold. Nevertheless, the damage still paled in comparison to what she had expected. She wasn’t planning on killing her friend, but she was intent on letting her know she would if she didn’t give her all in battle. After all, beyond their own individual prodigious skill, they had gotten as strong as they were by continuously pushing each other to move forward.

Her thoughts would be redirected to something else entirely however. As soon as the gatling gun came out, the musical prodigy knew her friend meant business. Having stopped momentarily at a corner, she watched as her childhood friend managed to fire upon her. And, rather than seem stressed or flustered, the same calm stillness that was peculiar of her seemed to accompany a rather subtle grin as it took over her expression. Switching the ginto so she held one on each hand for some ulterior motive, she would go ahead and summon her geigenbogen in the hand opposite from the seele. The length of the geigenbogen would be harden with its reishi construct to be used as a sword, as both the handle and the frog portion of the bow extended slightly to form a small hand guard.

”I really do hope you’re enjoying yourself.”

After she spoke, Sofia could see what looked like a multitude of after images. Thankfully for her, her own speed and hirenkyaku seemed to be just the slightest bit above her dear friend. While she was fast on her own regard, the Quincy prodigy was still able to follow her movements with sufficiently predictive nature. And though she seemed to delegate enough reishi around the after images to be somewhat confusing, it didn’t fool her. Toshiko, just like Sofia were experts of reishi manipulation. For the musical prodigy, the latter had been the means through which she created most of the techniques she possessed. As such, though it was clear the after images possessed traces of reishi and spiritual energy, the vast amount of dense, orderly and coordinated concentrations surrounded only one of them: the real one.

In a rash but calculated movement, Sofia would rush the reishi bullets almost seeming as though she was willing to be hit. At the last moment however should lean back and slide forward on her lower legs. The move was particularly similar to a famous movie she had once seen in a movie; The Matrix, was it? Regardless it allowed her to slide under the reach of the bullets. Unfortunately for her, the explosion of the shots caught her momentarily off guard. Unfortunately for Toshiko however, Sofia was known as The Melody, and she dictated the rhythm and pace of the battle.

With a quick smack on the ground from her geigenbogen, a surge of musical waves that sounded like a rich violin melody hit, push, and wrapped around the reishi explosion from the bullets with sufficient strength and momentum to push them up and away from Sofia. At that moment, both her geigenbogen and her seele would be coated with strong and dense amounts of reishi. Using both her blades to hit the ground and push her into a squatting position, she would slash forward twice. The slashes would create four extremely large crescent reishi strikes with very particular properties, Heiling Hieb. There were two slashes at top, and two at the bottom, that started out spread and closed in an almost square like formation with a near deadly view that looked not much different than the lines of a tic tac toe table. Two of the slashes would carry with them the seele’s own ability, making it easier to loosen bonds, whether it be Toshiko’s or the defense of her choosing. As such, it should be able to strike strongly in number, and debilitate whatever she had chosen to try and halt it. As for the two crescent strikes from her geigenbogen, the weapon’s own unique ability was to literally push reishi bonds away from it, making it easier to cut through most constructs. So even on their own, the geigenbogen’s crescent reishi slashes would be difficult to contend to. However, with the effect of the two slashes debilitating constructs and two that were meant to effortlessly slice through, her beloved friend would find herself in a tough and perilous situation.

Though the spot Sofia had placed her friend on was a difficult one, she was sure if anyone could survive, it was her. That didn’t mean she would make it out injury free, but that was a gamble they were both probably aware of. Strength and power after all did not come without its own share of pain and injuries. The most difficult part out of the nature of the spread out and encroaching slashes however was that, the most difficult thing would be outrunning it or dodging it. It would be fascinating to see what her friend would use to try and tackle the attack. Nevertheless, the musical prodigy was far from done. From her standing position, she would dart forward and against her fellow Captain. Knowing fully well her partner would be far too preoccupied with the incoming attack, her own surge forward would be difficult to discern, let alone do anything about, especially with how fast Sofia was. When she was on range however, the two ginto she was holding would be dropped before her.

”Arde y paraliza, Rech Blitz.”

From the ginto, a surge of reiryoku would be created using her own energy as a conduit. It would result in an extremely powerful surge of electricity that despite its short range, traveled extremely fast. However, close as she had gotten, range wasn’t a problem, and in the perilous situation she had placed Toshiko in with her attacks, escape and time were a luxury her friend simply could not afford. If it landed, Rech Blitz would send painful electrical shocks through her friends body that would leave most of her extremities numb. More importantly however, the high voltage electrical shock should have been able to not only momentarily halt the use of the gatling gun, but Toshiko would find herself paralyzed during the next post.

TOSHIKO KAMENASHI

It Feels Like it's Been so Long... [Private: Sofia Montero] 6EdIfMt

Artist: Blue Stahli - Song: Takedown (Instrumental) - Word Count: 980

Toshiko was feeling quite confident currently. She thought she was putting her friend for a little bit of a run; though she was wrong. Toshiko continued to flit around the room, trying to get Sofia with her shots. However, she soon noticed that not only was Sofia keeping the bullets from hitting her; she had quickly locked onto Toshiko's exact location. This made Toshiko curse when she charged at her. Obviously, this was not going to work. So, she dropped the illusions and prepared herself for what may be to come. However, what she did not expect was that her friend would not only dodge the reishi bullets, but, she would redirect them with her own reishi manipulation. Toshiko cursed under her breath and prepared to fire more directly for Sofia; at nearly point blank range. However, her friend, and love interest, had another trick up her sleeve.

Toshiko watched as Sofia did very masterful, and fancy, movements to pull her out of the way of the shots and the exploding reishi. And then, she did something that really made Toshiko smile; glad of her improvement. Though Toshiko was at a disadvantage currently, she was not down and out for the count. Toshiko had a small grin as she prepared to push her Gatling gun into overdrive. But, such a thing never happened due to the 4 large waves of energy that flew for Toshiko quickly.

Toshiko swallowed and started to move already. Time slowed as she moved to her right, her heart beating rapidly. Toshiko knew that these strikes would be deadly if they hit where they intended to. Although death was far from Sofia's mind, she wasn't going to hold back. And it didn't help that Toshiko's abilities were not focused for movement; putting her at a clear disadvantage already. But, she was not going to use her Vollstandig. In her mind, that would be cheating in this encounter. She was at a possible disadvantage? Well, her over confidence caused her to not want to use her Vollstandig even at this point; not wanting to ruin the fairness of this fight.

Toshiko's heart raced as time seemed to slow more as her heels clacked on the ground as she moved. Her Hirenkyaku would be too slow, as would her normal speed be as well. Sure, she was pushing to her limits, but, she still had little time to react. In a split second decision Toshiko used her Gatling gun to create force opposite of Toshiko; propelling her out of the way of the attack. It was almost successful even.

Just as Toshiko was on the outside of the attack she spun her Gatling gun out of the way, changing it back into a bag, as she attempted to spin out of the way. As she spun, her right arm and right thigh were cut by the reishi blasts from the Seele Schneider. The attacks had broken through her somewhat specialized blut and had left rather large cuts that left good sized slashes in her shirt and pants. She sighed as her heart finally stopped beating like a drum that was playing to a stupidly fast beat. She breathed a little heavily as she tried to ignore the rather intense pain in her arm and leg. Neither prevented her from moving them, but, holding her Gatling gun could be an issue with the state her right arm was in now. With another soft sigh Toshiko switched her bag to her left hand as she then prepared to attack Sofia; who was actually still on the offensive.

“Well that was painfu—eep!”

Toshiko was about to charge at Sofia, after speaking, when she appeared directly in front of her; causing her to make a surprised noise. With Toshiko still attempting to recover from the Heiling Hieb, the sudden appearance of the person she loved surprised her. It surprised her enough to nearly make her fair skin appear tan, from being only slightly flustered, as Sofia dropped a couple of Ginto at her feet. Toshiko then tried to step backwards with her right leg, causing her to stumble and nearly fall; regaining her footing in time to get hit by Recht Blitz.

A shocking sensation flew throughout Toshiko's body as she uttered a muffled pained sound as she felt her muscles tighten up and prevent her from moving. She grit her teeth as much as possible as the static shocks coursed through her body still; creating only minor twinges of pain now. Luckily for Toshiko, she was able to resist pain pretty well. But, getting hit by electricity kinda causes the nerves to go a little nuts with pain. So, with an exasperated sigh, Toshiko attempted to move; but to no avail. She felt blood coursing down her leg and arm and sighed as well as she could. Obviously she would not bleed out from the wounds, but, that still didn't stop the fact that they hurt like hell.

With a groan of pain Toshiko was forced to stay still; her hands shaking from both a small loss of confidence and the paralyzation. Toshiko had no idea what Sofia would do, but, it definitely did involve Toshiko not moving. If she had only just a little more time she may have been able to summon the robot she sometimes uses, but, she was not only too slow, and too distracted, but the wound on her thigh had also caused her leg to give out. Not only that, but, the stumbling caused her sunglasses to fall off and land on the ground; undamaged. With a tiny sigh, Toshiko could only wait. Wait and see what her friend was planning for her. Hopefully it wouldn't be anything too bad, and Toshiko was rather content with not getting cut more; if no more cutting could happen that would be great.

THE QUINCY PRODIGY

Artist: DSharp - Song: Elastic Heart [Violin]

At last, her attacks had finally connected for the most part. As was expected from her beloved friend however, she had found a way to shrug off the blunt of the damage coming her way. At the end, she was correct. There was no need for Sofia to hold back. In her mind, it would be seen as only an insult to her friend, and an insult she wouldn’t wish placed upon herself by having Toshiko hold back on her either. Regardless, though content with the outcome of the spar so far, she wasn’t particularly happy that her childhood friend had been cut and harmed. But, as strong as they were and with the techniques and skills they had at their disposal, the simple minor injuries could be dealt with swiftly promptly after. Beyond that, some of the more unique were a good source of stories for the future. Someone had actually mentioned to Sofia once that the worst decisions made the best stories. If there was any truth to that statement, then Toshiko would need to try and make the very best decisions she could to avoid having the main theme of her sparring stories being centered about her own painful and nearly masochist seeming tendencies.

Beyond playing music, sparring and pushing herself to achieve new levels of personal development through trial of training and combat were some of Sofia’s most treasured hobbies. Sparring with Toshiko, something she had not done in a long time managed to spark a new light and lit the fire of her excitement for it. The sheer difference in their styles made it so that each of them were push to use their own skills in slightly different ways than they had before. It made them think, it made them run, and over all, it made her happy. Her Quincy friend seemed to favor a fighting style that revolved around innovation through technological development. After all, that was the epicenter of her own prodigious field of expertise. If she hadn’t yet, then Sofia could only imagine that her friend would be invested much more down the road in creating new technological means and gadgets she could exploit in battle. As for the musical prodigy, she was more intent in finding beauty and creating art in everything she did, from the violin in the musical stage to the pacing of her reishi techniques at the right tempo on the battlefield.

Though Toshiko had managed to largely avoid the large crescent waves with nothing more than torn clothes, some minor but sizable slashes bled fairly from specific areas on her body. She seemed fine though, at least as fine as someone could be while paralyzed after being hit with her Recht Blitz.

”I don’t really see you squirming or complaining too much so that must mean you’re okay.”

Of course, Sofia knew better. Even if her friend had wanted to move, scream or shriek it would have hardly done anything. The paralyzes entailed her nerves and her muscles for that matter, momentarily overcharged with electricity to impair movement; at least just for the duration of the post. With a clear, and near sadistic smile, Sofia would walk closer to Toshiko, taking her sweet time.

”See, you look so much better when you’re still, silent, and obedient.”

It was a bit comical, but without Toshiko fidgeting around, talking, or actively trying to grope her, Sofia actually had a chance to get a better look at her. Her friend had grown up quite a lot just like her. The growth was not only in power but physical as well. Some of her more developed assets actually seemed to rival her own. Not that she would make note or mention of it, but it was hardly right to glance over too fast within her mind.

”You know, this is why you don’t poke people.”

Squatting down before her, she would bring her face closer to Toshiko; awkwardly so. She would be so close to the point where her lips were just a couple inches away from her ear. The simplest of words, however softly spoken would seem almost as though she made purposeful attempts to whisper in the most sultry of ways.

”Poke,” she said playfully while a finger neared about to poke one of her breasts before she pulled it back without ever doing so.

”See, I don’t do that. I know how to behave.”

Instead choosing to run her fingers gently through Toshiko’s hair, there was what looked like a soft, innocent and loving smile. The soft moment would fade as Sofia would grab a hold of her friend’s hair, yanking it down a bit hard so that her head angled back.

”Try not to go easy on me, or the next time you might really die.”

With the same smile, and still holding her rather roughly, Sofia would give her a quick kiss on her cheek, an inch or so away from the corner edge of her lips, making it dangerously close to what could have been seen as something else. Right after however, she would let go of her head, and get up, moving away from her friend. As she walked, all she could see was the sight so many seemed to be enticed about, that of her swinging gait, the shaped rump that had become the talk of the Vandenreich.

”You should be able to move again pretty soon.”

Before Toshiko could move however, Sofia would ease the length of the geigenbogen, ready to use it as a bow. She would then place the seele against her bow, ready to use the seele as an arrow as soon as her friend was ready to begin combat. She wasn’t one to try and attack a friend when she was paralyzed, but she couldn’t promise she would be as kind should it unfortunately happen once more in the remainder of the spar. The spar continued, and with Toshiko ready to move, she would need to be aware and cognizant of her own movements to avoid being hit by what looked like a rather menacing and powerful shot.
