A thousand steady blinking red lights bob gently in a dark room, gathering in an airborne swarm around a reclining figure. To the left a large box shaped humming machine fills the air with the the cadence of progression. From this machine a thick cable extends into a Kage Chokyo-shi set flat against the wall that casts the dark room in a red glow. The shape taking his ease in a sleek medical looking chair doesn't stir beyond a slow and steady breathing. A thousand slim black lines connect a helmet apparatus to all of the hovering lights that fill the room. He makes no noise other then the occasional grumble of a long empty stomach. There is a stagnate feel to the air and dust lines every surface. Something that has been asleep will soon wake, but for now the lights blink and shift throughout the room and Styn remains uninterrupted.

The response to Ceal's expressed interest in this particular mission came quick and with a tinge of eager enthusiasm. They were delivered in a concise manner and were clear and to the point. Come to the portal hall of the first circle. Dress casually and keep an open mind. You'll be met by Narisa Corson, a knight of the first circle. Come alone. Hardly an odd set of details considering. Somehow the reality of performing a mission for Shadow Fall, the organization of chaos and evil didn't seem to live up to the image of the sort of foul purposes and carnal depravities that such an organization was well known for. Styn, the target of this particular hunt would be the first person to agree that the day to day was far more mundane then most would give credit to.
Flashes of Kage Chokyo-shi light up the air at regular intervals within the working amphitheater of the first circle. At regular intervals in this large expanse of space there were rune inscribed transference sigils dotting the floor. At key points of the spell form there were thick cables snaking out to an accompanying terminals. At each of these terminals was a bored looking demon tapping away at a screen, verifying that coordinates were correct and security checks were being performed. This was the lifeblood of the logistics arm of the Shadow Fall organization. For as much as strong demon's were needed by the first circle to be the breach head in an invasion force, a far greater number of basic technicians and operators were required to keep the day to day functions in tact. Near the entrance to this room paced an agitated looking demon.
Narisa Corson didn't sit high in the First Circle. She kept her head down and she did her job, no heroics and no over reaching. The strings she had pulled in getting this mission put together was most likely the most ambitious thing she had done in the last twenty years. Still having been one of the last demon's in Styn's presence before his so called disappearance she felt like she owed it to him to get to solve his current dilemma. Looking up at Ceal's entrance the demoness would scurry forward while looking left and right with furtive quick twitches of her head. She had a graceful stride and your standard busty beauty package, capped off with brown eyes and unremarkable straight black hair. Her features were Caucasian with a touch of exotic. The knight would wait a moment to exchange greetings before rushing to get her words out.
"Thanks for taking this mission, I was a bit worried that there wouldn't be any interest. For reasons I'd prefer not to go into, I can't be associated too closely with this. The posting had the crucial details down. I need you to meet Styn and bring him here, I'll take care of the rest." The demoness pauses to size Ceal up with her eyes, pausing thoughtfully on the collar around the girl's neck. "Yes I think you'll do nicely. Don't worry Styn likes humans so the personal risk to you is very low. However, we haven't had any luck getting that lazy bastard out of his room. He doesn't eat, he doesn't sleep, I don't even think the bastard is shitting right now," Narisa exclaims with a huff.
"I won't boor you with the details. We've had a few people poking around at this for at least a year now. He's holed up in his room playing some MMO first person shooter set in a persistent world, full dive. From what I can tell he's controlling two guilds worth of characters simultaneously. We had thought that the only way to get him out was to make him lose, but most of the professional gamers we've hired through Shadow Fall contacts have given the task up as impossible. I think we need to go another route. The last time I saw Styn was in Salvador more then two years ago right before he met up with the Queen. More importantly it was just the next day when he started playing this game."
Narisa holds up her hand to forestall any possible comments at this point, taking the time to catch her breath before wrapping things up. "I think far more important then the why of what he's doing right now is the how. If I had to guess, the meeting didn't go so well and he's been holed up like..." The demoness trails off as her eyes stare off into the distance searching for an analogy. "Like some kid sent to bed with no dinner," she exclaims with a smile while reaching into her pocket. Pulling out a candy bar that looks like something straight out of the human world she extends the offering toward Ceal with a stern look. In Narisa's other hand is a data chip with information about Styn's exact location. "Your mission if you choose to accept it, is to meet Styn and give him his dinner."
