ENTER THE DEPTHS

Artist: Mogeko Castle - Song: N/A - Word Count: N/A

“This city is absurd.”

Niflheim said slowly as she walked through the streets of madnise city. The one place in antarctica were not even two years ago shit totally hit the fan, everything had gone haywire in such a short period of time that even she didn’t know just how fucked up the place still was. Creatures of the dark still lurked in the shadows, the stench of dead bodies still remained even after the vandenreich had spent countless hours trying to clean it up, and yet? To her this place was her home, the place she lived and it didn’t matter to her much that it was a tad disturbed. After all, to many she was pretty disturbing herself, a being with the emotional capacity of a doll, Or what to many seemed to be the emotional capacity of a doll, since she kept a very tight reign on what emotions she chose to and what emotions she chose to not make visible to others. Yet since when had she given a shit what people thought about her disposition, it didn’t matter to her simply because she was here for a reason, and that reason was what she centered her life around, it was actually as simple as that.

Yet for now she stepped on a can, flattening it under her high-heeled boot with a clang. Her blue eyes drifting down to the filth and the beginnings of a frown had appeared on her face. Garbage was left everywhere when most of the vandenreich just vanished, and the old leader ended up fleeing. It was disgraceful really, and the very thought of that scaredy cat brought a white hot flame to that metaphorical rope that was her patience, and burnt it all up in mere seconds. Yet even as she silently fumed, not even the smallest fragment of that emotion had managed to seep onto her facial features other than that tiny frown that adorned her face currently, her foot shifting as she kicked the flattened can with a clattering sound into one of the alleyways that stunk of raw sewage, even with the frigid sub-zero temperatures having frozen all the bodies that hadn’t been cleaned up, and the garbage that was left to rot and putrefy over time.

“..Anyone there~ Of course not.” her words had a dryness to them, as she internally snickered at such a retarded rhetorical question being uttered from her lips. Of course no one was still here, this place was considered cursed by many. The only ones that she had found here in a long time were either the dead, or the remnants of the damned that ventured here in that huge battle that had been waged just a short while ago. Many had gone, some still naturally lingered, and the quincy had gone mad trying to exterminate them to restore the city to a hospitable place. To many the demons had become pests, but to Niflheim who was emotionally lacking in many situations, she often preferred and found herself subtly over the years finding the company of these demons to be much better than that of her criminally incompetent quincy Counterparts.

Even if it was her mission to one day bring the quincy’s back into the spotlight as a powerful and centralized nation under the vandenreich flag, to do their purpose of protecting the world once more from hollows instead of trying to conquer it. She still didn’t find that mission to be as compelling any more, the vandenreich was a sinking cause, each day it fell more and more into disrepair and crumbled. Their main base was in shambles, and other than her very few still lived within the ice-palace’s rather holey structure. Her room had been one of the few to be entirely unscathed, many other rooms had suffered destruction that was far greater, holes in the walls, fissures in the floors. It was a wonder that the place was still structurally sound at all.

Yet for now, Niflheim had decided to sit down on a park bench after she had put her arm over her head and popped her shoulder joint once, shifting to the other side and doing the same, finally then being able to kick back and relax. Her legs resting close together so her skirt wouldn’t be flipped up and her back perfectly straight due to the training that had been drilled into her from a young age by those who had been a part of the date clan. She was a warrior, albiet a rather reserved and unorthodox one.

So now? She would enjoy the serenity of a perfect frigid day. In Antarctica's most damned city.

Nanaya pouted as she looked around the city. The bunny demon was currently in her human form, which was a petite, fair skinned and red headed girl. Nanaya looked down on what she wore, a double breasted light pink winter coat that resembled an A-line style dress.
"This is boring." Her voice coming out nasally due to a nose plug being there. A sigh came from her lips as she shifted the position of her aqua and white polka dot backpack. This city wasn't at all what the girl had expected. It seemed like it was forever ago when Nanaya was on a ship that she had stowed away on. Nanaya wanted to go to any place but didn't want to be the one to chose it. It was soon after that when the demon came up with the amazing idea to stoaway on the ship!

It was really fun at first. The girl had brought everything she needed. Eventually things became a boring. Just when the girl had thought she would die of boredom some fun had appeared in front of her. This fun took on the form of a man who's face was as red as a tomato when he saw Nanaya. His big sweaty hands were shaking as he tried to pull something out from his pocket. Candy?! Nanaya assumed happily. But no, it wasn't candy just some boring looking black thingy. The man had shouted something at Nanaya after that but she didn't pay attention to what he was saying, she just didn't care.

The bunny demon would've continued not to care if it weren't for that black thingy making a loud booming noise.
"ooo a game?"
Flashback Nanaya shouted happily, jumping up to her feet. "Okay! Okay! I'll play!" Her tiny pale legs stretching to hit the object in the man's hands. It flew quite some ways away before it landed on some boxes. "But no toys! That'll be cheating." Pouting as she dodged a punch the man threw. "Yea! That's a good move! Buut..." The girl jumped up and grabbed the man soon getting him into a hold. "My moves are better!" Squeezing tightly she could hear the breath escape the man.
"Darn," she poked at the lifeless body. "You dun play games that much do ya sir? You know, if you played more you wouldn't have lost so quickly!" Nanaya let out a sigh, she knew she was going to become bored again.

Before she could even wish for more playmates, more men came. It soon became very fun for Nanaya. The amount of playmates she had seemed endless. Whenever one playmate could no longer play with her another one appeared. This seemed to go on for hours until the ship jerked and groan. Nanaya flew right towards a wall head first. Luckily, she managed to flip so she would hit it feet first. This movement saved her nogging from having tomato juices spill out of it. The bunny demon could imagine the cracking sound of her coconut before the red liquid came out. "No way! I'm not sleepin today!" Launching herself off the wall Nanaya giggled beliving to be the winner.

"No wall can defeat me!" She cheered. It was right after she made that statement when a crate moved and ran into her."Nooooo." She cried weakly. "I dun wanna sleep." Her eyes began to close shut but couldn't due to the sudden cold liquid that touched her. Angry, Nanaya took out all of her feelings on the crate before swimming to a spot that didn't have water in it. Unfortunately, as she looked around her she could see water with floating ice pieces around her. "I dun wanna swim!" She pouted. The demon girl started to look for something, anything that could keep her from swimming in that darn water. Eventually she found an orange thingy that looked like it would float. Nanaya decided to take a chance and use it. When she was some distance away from the ship, a yawn escaped from her lips. "I guess I'll sleep now, nothing else to do anyways." Her eyes closed.

When Nanaya's eyes opened she found herself on this stinky little place. Her tiny sensitive nose couldn't take the scent for long. Instinctively, the bunny demon began to gag over and over until she pulled out a nose plug from her backpack.
"Maybe this stench is to keep people away from the fun stuffs in this place? Yea! Fun stuffs! But you won't keep me away." Hopping quickly to her feet, Nanaya began to explore.

Now in the present, Nanaya had wished she had found herself in a much fun place. So far there wasn't much to do. Her nostrils also got violated by the stench whenever she decided to take the plug off. Nanaya had hoped that the stench wasn't going to happen everywhere, but it did.

As she walked into the park, she felt like there was no point in her staying in her human form. Easily, Nanaya changed from a red head girl with side bangs to a pink haired curled bangs bunny girl. Her orange central heterochromia eyes, that had a red ring around the pupil turned into red sectoral heterochromia with a portion of her eyes being a darker red. The pink bunny ears on top of her head drooped downward as her head was looking down at the ground. She sighed. "I didn know boring places like this existed." The bunny demon glared at a rock in the ground. "STUPID!" Nanaya channeled her anger into her foot, taking it all out on the rock. Her head slightly went up as she watched the rock fly then land on a park bench. The girl could see a figure there. I must be sleepy. "Nanaya won't be sleeping today! I refuse! Stupid coconut putting things that dun exist in this place here!" Her hand went up to her head as she slightly tugged on the pink hair. "This doesn't make me feel better at all!" She screamed.

ENTER THE DEPTHS

Artist: Mogeko Castle - Song: N/A - Word Count: N/A

Someone’s coming Niflheim’s silver eyes slid open as her body shifted from its relaxed state. Rising from the bench fluidly her probing spiritual sense was already being cast out to find the person who had appeared. In her mind she pondered a few things, such as was this person here to fight her? Or was it that for whatever reason, this individual had ended up here by some freak accident? Whatever the case, the soft silver hue of her eyes shifted to a shadowed steel, an indicator that she was clearly wary, and on guard. Her fair hair fluttered in a glacial breeze that blew from the east, whipping that carefully put together ponytail of hers around with a wild abandon.

Eventually with the power of C The Control reigning in her spiritual sense in a rough radius of a few miles, she was able to single out the strange disturbance in energy that had her undivided attention. Collecting data from the way the disturbance of reishi took shape, she embedded the concept of Visualization into the surrounding energy. This allowed her, to for all intents and purposes get a visual representation of what was going on without having to move yet. It seemed that her visitor was a pink-haired, rabbit-eared girl of unknown origins. At first the thought that this girl could be an enemy certainly crossed her mind, after all she was cautious. This stemmed from the fact that she couldn’t afford to be slain, too much was riding on those delicate shoulders of hers.

But, she wasn’t going to be discourteous, that simply wasn’t who she was. Rising gracefully from the bench in a movement that was as smooth as glass, she began to walk towards the stranger. The sound of her heels hitting the pavement echoed, it was the only other sound that broke the howl of the wind, other than this bunny-eared girls ramblings. Niflheim let out a soft exhalation of breath, the heated air passing her lips before she had stated in a crisp, and clear voice.

”..Hello stranger, by any chance have you gotten lost?”

Her voice was full of kindness, but there was a hint of wariness in her undertones. Despite putting herself in an extremely sketchy situation, this member of the vandenreich had utilized her ability and embedded the concept of Density into the energy that surrounded her in a ten-foot radius. What this did was simple, it increased how thick the reishi actually was, by causing the free-floating particles within a hundred foot radius to condense into this space. This would naturally mean it could in theory be condensed further, until it would turn into a thick barrier, but for now it remained free-floating and untapped in the ten foot radius surrounding her.

Pausing, she shook her head just a bit, letting the corners of her lips pull into a rueful smile. She hadn’t introduced herself yet had she? This was a breach in proper etiquette that she normally wouldn’t have allowed to occur. For this reason the smallest hint of color danced on the quincies cheeks, however in their cold weather it could just be frost-bite after all! She suppressed the urge to fidget and instead said in an open and rather polite tone.

”..Where ever have my manners gone, My name is Niflheim P. I am a Quincy, you wouldn’t mind if i enquired what your own name was, right?”

After the necessary pleasantries had been taken care of, the quincy simply awaited a reply, her back still poised, and her feet spread out ready for a fight if it came to that.

The red eyes widened first before Nanaya's face went from frusteration to sheer surprise in a few seconds. The figure was clear in her vision now. The violently moving silver ponytail on the girl's head briefly caught Nanaya's attention.

Questions started to flood into the bunny demon's mind. Can illusions really be this detailed? Was this person really there? Did the bunny demon finally meet someone else in this stinky, boring place? The bunny girl didn't need to play 20 questions with herself for long, once she heard the click of a heel ringing through this lifeless place.

A smile spread on Nanaya's pale lips as she listened to this girl. The more she spoke, the more Nanaya couldn't help but think that she reminded her of Yuki Onna. As if the earth of this place is what had created her. It was a nice thought while it lasted but it soon got interrupted to how Nanaya's mind completely shut down once she heard the girl's name. A confused look on the bunny girl's face was being broadcasted to the world as her lips stumbled over mouthing the girl's name. She brought her hand up pinching her bottom lip between her thumb and index finger as she continued to attempt to mouth the girl's name. It had taken Nanaya a few times of struggling to mouth the name before she had realized she didn't even answer the questions that was asked or even said her name.

In an innocent tone she blurted out, "Sorry lady! But your name is difficult!" A blank expression appeared on her face while the demon tried to piece together her answers in her mind. "Uummmm. Well it's not that I got lost. It's more like..." Her eyes began to wander around as she was trying to find the words to communicate her thoughts. "It's more like...I-thought-that-I-was-going-to-go-somewhere-fun!" The words stumbled out of her mouth at a speaking pace that was a bit too fast.

"Buuuut," she continued. "I ended up in this place and-and it's not fun at all! It actually kinda stinks and-sorry lady if this is your home-it's boring!" A look of accomplishment was on the girl's face before she ended her monologuing with a question "What do you-" It was at this moment that Nanaya had realized she still hadn't introduced herself. "Oh wait! I didn't tell you my name yet! My name is Nanaya and what do you do here?"
