Personality:Kasai is not averse to disposing of those who get in his way and is not easily intimidated, usually speaking to others in a very direct and arrogant manner. He doesn't seem to care about anything except his experiments, even going as far as to destroy anyone who would resist, including the other Vizards. However, he will repay debts that he owes.

He also has a habit of taking on highly dangerous tasks alone, in order to protect his experiments and subordinates, no matter the cost to himself. He views his subordinates as precious and takes any attack on them very personally. Inwardly, Kasai is greatly concerned about both the state of the Gotei 13 and protecting Karakura, and is sometimes forced to temporarily choose loyalty to one over the other. These heavy burdens often keep him alert and nervous privately.

Kasai strongly believes in Self-Sacrifice, believing that people need to accomplish things on their own, and not bring in outside help or interference. He directs this ideology onto both himself, and his subordinates.

Kasai usually has an outwardly friendly, disarming persona (part of why he is so good at collecting information), but is actually very cautious about every choice he makes. Because he is very analytical, he usually has a very good idea of what people think of him, and is rarely ever caught unaware.

He has no desire to lead, wanting simply to preserve order and truth. Kasai's true interest lies in youth. He loves finding those with unique powers and training them. He tends to distance himself from others and will reject many who try to get close to him.

Kurotori tends to not talk much, but when he does, its always rude and to the point. He doesn't care about formalities, friendship, or emotions. All he thinks about is what is the right thing to do, and what is the smart thing to do. He doesn't care about if what he says will hurt the feelings of others, or if what he wants is unreasonable or not.

Shikai Abilities: The true ability of Kurotori is to create enless fire by burning Reiatsu. The fire can be of different types, varrying from Black, Red, Blue, Green, and White. Each type has individual strengths and weaknesses. In reality, the fire burns using exposed Reiatsu, growing stronger the more Reiatsu is produced.

Black: Black fire never burns out. It continues to grow and feed until everything is laid to waist. It is known in mythology as the Evil Flame. Black fire, unfortunately, has a very hard time catching onto things. Its heat is moderate, to, actually, very cool.

Red: The most Intense Flame there is. Red fire produces the most heat and can even generate mirages using Heat Waves.

Blue: The strongest in terms of ‘fire-power’. Blue Fire Burns the fastest. Strangely, in terms of battle skills, Blue fire actually moves faster also.

Green: Known as the ‘Living Flame’, or sometimes more correctly, as the ‘Sickly Flame’. Upon use, Green fire instantly produces massive clouds of black Smoke that chokes and smothers the area. The Smoke is in Laymans terms, known as Carbon-Monoxide, and can prove dangerous to extended exposer. Note: Don’t use in Seal areas unless needed.

White: Known as the ‘Sticky Flame’ or ‘Flame of Justice’. White fire catches the fastest and will cling to anything that touches it. It actually has some density to it, unlike normal flames, due to continuous exposure to outside elements, sticking to them, and weighing down on the enemy. It works very similarily like a virus, catching onto anyone who comes in contact with the flames.

Attacks: (Note: If not specifically stated, any Fire Type can be used for an attack)

Raise: A simple whip attack made of fire that is produced from the momentum of his Swing. This is Kasai’s signature technique.

Raise- Arrow: Kasai thrusts his sword instead of swings it, producing an arrow like attack, instead of a whip.
Raise- Snake: Kasai makes continuous swings without stopping, twisting the shape of the normal Raise attack, changing it into a drill-like attack that envelopes around a single point.
Raise- Choke: A non Fire variation that uses the smoke made from Green Fire.



Blaze: A large, horizontal Tornado of fire, made by spinning the sword continuously. For appearance sake, it looks very similar to a Cero. Very Powerful, but normally, only hits when the opponent is caught off guard

Blaze- Soar: A Blaze shot straight up in a parabola that smashes back down onto the enemy.
Blaze- Wrap: A Blaze that is twisted and used to move around Kasai, creating a short-lasting barrier against physical attacks.


After-Wave: Using the Heat produced from Red Fire, Kasai creates a close Range Mirage that helps in dodging.

White Death-mas: A name Punned after Christmas being the birth of Christ (Hope), making this move symbolizing the Death of Hope. Kasai fires several small, White Fireballs from all around him. This move was made as a protective technique for when he gets ambushed.

Blue Dasher: Kasai holds his sword forward but over his shoulder. He then fires a Beam of Blue Fire straight from the sword without moving it.

Blue Dancer: Kasai creates a wide, overhead swing, spreading Blue Fire overhead and hitting anyone above him.
Blue Prancer: After using Blue Dasher, Kasai fires a second beam backwards from his hilt, attacking anyone who comes from behind.
Blue Vixen: Kasai fires three short, but quick beams of Blue Fire that are aimed at the enemy's legs and crotch. (Note: more effective against men, than women)
Blue Comet: Kasai creates a large ball of Blue Fire mixed with White Fire around his entire blade and hurls it.
Blue Cupid: Kasai aims the sword from a distance and fires a sniping Beam of Fire.
Blue Donner: Kasai fires a Beam of Blue Fire downward, and causes it to recoil up wards, attacking the enemy.
Blue Blitzen: Kasai holds his sword forward, but outstretched this time. He fires multiple short beams of Blue Fire. This attack is used for Shunpo experts, allowing him to fire again without missing.

Zanpakotu (Bankai) Description

Bankai Appearance: The sword splis into two short swords roaring in fire. Each blade has five holes along the sides and are normally held reverse-hand. The fire coming from the swords spred along his back and spred wings. His attire changes into that of a black, monks robe, with a hood covering over the top half of his face.
Bankai Abilities: All of Kasai’s original attacks are dramatically increased in destructive power. He also now has access to more attacks

Attacks:

Blaze of Glory: A Combo using Raise to tie up a Blaze attack and control its direction of attack.

Torch of Failure: Kasai lifts both swords and crosses them, creating a huge flame that sends a cloud of smoke all over the sky and small ashes fall, burning through everything through their decend.

Ten Dragons of Ruin: Kasai creates ten dragons of fire that can each be controled mentally. Two of each make up a different type of fire. This is one of his strongest attacks.

Dark Nova: Kasai erases all of his fire and them bursts it all out, creating an orb of Black Fire around himself. The orb burns everything comes closs to it, working both offensively, and defensively. This is Kasai’s Signature Bankai attack.

White Nova: A variation of the traditional Dark Nova, but Uses White Fire instead. This attack doesn't do any immediate damage, but instead, works great as a quick defense.

Inventions: (Because Kasai worked for a long time in the 12th Division, he learn the Engineering trade and made a few inventions. But unlike his Captains, he focused his sudies around Energy and how to convert Reishi in attack power.

Shinjuugan:

After looking at previously designed scematics for the previously made Kido Cannon and Kido Gun, as well as the Designs for the Quincy's Ginto Boxes, he created a design for the Shinjuugan. A Shinjuugan can roughly be explained as a Gun that fires Reishi Particles. The gun saps energy similarly like Kenpachi's Parasite Eyepatch, but stops draining energy when all six Gintos are Full. Once filled, the user can use a small amount of their Reishi to trigger small blasts, called Shinjuu, the size of a Battery. The Shinjuu, unlike the Hollow/Arrancar's Ceros or Balas, pierce the body and destroy what is torn out. Unlike a Shinigami's Zanpakuto, a Shinjuu doesn't return a Hollow/Arrancar to Plus state if used to kill them, instead, it destroys them completely, just like a Quicy's Arrow. Variations can be made to allow more Ginto to be stored, but size cannot be altered. Cartridges that contain pre-made Ginto can also be made an sold.

Others have been created, but I haven't thought them up yet.

Abilities:

Fencing Master: Unlike most Shinigami/Vizards, Kasai has studied several other Sword Styles, besides the traditional Kendo. He still uses his Sealed Zanpakuto's Katana-Form, but has proven to be able to convert many of the techniques from Fencing, into Kendo variant forms, showing just how skilled he is with this Sword Style.

Kendo Technician: Like many Shingami/Vizards, Kasai studied Kendo back at the Shinigami Academy. He has studied it well enough to be quiet skilled.

Kido Expert: Kasai's most Influential Skill. He has proven to be able to use many different Kido Incantations without any trouble what-so-ever. Though he decided against entering the Kido Corpse, he has been seen studying alongside many of its members. Though, most of his more prominent spells have all shown to be Bakudo, showing little, to no power in the other two.

Boxing Practitioner: Though unskilled, Kasai has studied a little of this Fighting style, as it fits his personality.

High Endurance: Though not particularly skilled in Hakudo, he is still very enduring, showing to be able to stand up to many hits, though he himself can't deal them out very well.

Keen Observation and Manipulation: Because his Sword can control the Element of Fire, Kasai started wondering how to make use of the environment in any way he can. He can notice special focal points in the earth, to be able to smash mundane obstacles (Such as dams, stone wall, etc.) with little to no effort. He can find weaknesses in people with incredible ease, as well as find the most effective use in native plants around him. He can use basic intellectual skills to control nature, however he wishes.

Inner Hollow Description:

Inner Hollow Personality:His Hollow's loyalty and personality is difficult to discern, as he is a sadistic, yet polite, helpful man with a dry sense of humor. He enjoys playing mind games with his enemies, often unnerving them by pointing out their weaknesses and turning personal horrors against them. He seems to have a hard time tolerating rudeness though. Kasai also seems to have a hard time determining his Hollow's thoughts at times. Even in this instance, Kasai has great confidence in his Hollow's loyalty, often laughing at the prospect that he would betray him.

While his Hollow does generally obey Kasai's orders, even going so far as to save Kasai's life at times, he is not above helping Kasai's enemies; Switching sides in the middle of a battle and giving his enemy added strength instead. He is also generally polite to Kasai, despite the fact that they have conflicting motives from time to time. Despite his unclear goals, his Hollow seems to be content in following Kasai, using the alignment to make requests for specific bodies with which to further his knowledge.

His Hollow tends to be very different from normal Vizards' Hollows. Unlike normal one's Kasai's Hollow doesn't want Kasai's body, calling it 'damaged goods', and says that he wants Kasai's help in making a new body for himself.

Hollow Powers: His Hollow possesses an ability called, "The Power of Dementia". When Hollowed, Kasai resembles someone on PCP. He feels no pain or fear. Because he feels no pain, he can attack with tremendous force without worrying about injury to self. He also possesses superior raw power, Hierro, Sonido, and Pesquisa

Resurreccion Abilities: In this form, Kasai now has full access to his Hollow's Dementia power, without any of the draw-backs. In this form, Kasai cannot sense pain, and, like the effects of Acid (the drug), can produce illusions that have random effects on people. The images vary from person to person, and can be scary, peaceful, or down-right annoying. Either way, the Illusions always seem to serve the purpose that Kasai creates them for: Most of the time, that purpose is to distract his enemies. The true power though still remains as Dementia, granting Kasai the ability to release a Mist from his armor that, when breathed, causes logic and reason to be thrown out the door. Emotions go wild, and sight becomes distorted. Because of this, many times, victims tend to attack their comrades in fits of madness, thinking them to be Kasai. Of course none of this is true, and Kasai can't really make people think that. His power only makes people give in to their madness and imagination. His new sword does nothing but slash. He can discard it when he uses his Bankai to make room for his second sword.

Background/Roleplay Sample

Background:
(This is all happening in the Soul Society) With a drunken mother and a 'ghost' of a father, you'd think Kasai had a horrible life. And your right. The only memory he has of his father is with him beating his mother and cutting her face with a broken wine bottle. Even at the age of ~5, the look on his father's face told him that he got off on the fear made by his mother.

After his father left, his mother went into prostitution to make a living (She knew no other way). She also became an alcoholic, ending up dead drunk every time Kasai came home from school.

Everyday, it was the same: He came home and dragged his mother into bed. As he would leave, she would apologies for 'being worthless' (Her words, not mine), but would only come out of bed after 2 hrs. During that time, Kasai would do his homework, cook diner, and wait for her to wake up. When she did, she would act like she had just taken a small nap.

Then, on his 13th birthday, Kasai ran home, eager to show his mother his grade on his Progressive exam, only to find their house turned to cinders. And among the crowd of mobbed around what was left, was his father, who made an imaginary through of an imaginary match at the house.

Kasai ran in and saw his mother, her leather jacket was barely crisped while the rest of her flesh was crisp and black. In the jacket was a suicide note and a partially full pack of cigarettes. Seizure through the letter away (he knew it was fake) and grabbed the cigarettes.

Kasai took one and lit it at his lips. The smoke filled his lungs and he coughed it out. As the smoke left his mouth, it went over his face and kissed his forehead.

After a few days, word of his mother's death got around.

As he walked the streets, a group of punks came over and started harassing him and laughed about his mother. One of the boys had said she was giving Satan a head job and cackled.

The next thing he remembered was seeing the guy erupt into flames, while his posse ran screaming. Seizure was then scouted by the Soul Reaper Academy two months later. They told him that if he didn't enroll, he would become too dangerous and kill everyone in his district. He liked the idea, but they obviously didn't, so he left with them.

During his days in the academy, he made very few friends and kept to himself a lot. At night, he would have strange nightmares involving an older him fight Hollows and such, but the school counselors simply told him that they were simply caused by the trauma of losing his mother.

In school, he excelled at Kido and surpassed everyone in his class. He was so good, that if it wasn't for his below-par skills in Sword fighting and Shunpo, he would have graduated very early. It didn't help either that the professors didn't approve of his smoking habits.

During his later years at the academy, Kasai befriended a girl named Hana. Hana reminded him a lot of his mother, which was probably the reason for their friendship in the first place. Kasai and her would hang out after school all the time and soon developed a relationship and later fell in love. Kasai though, worried that she may share the same fate as his mother, tried to distance himself from her life, even going so far as to switch to different classes.

One day, Kasai and Hana snuck out and went for a stroll through town. Then, out of nowhere, a Hollow attacked them and started ravaging the city. Kasai leaped out to defend Hana when the Hollow shot out its hand, but the hand only turned into tendrils and pierced through them both. Kasai managed to avoid being hit in a Vital area, but Hana got the worst of it. Her heart, stomach, and lungs were all pierced and she already started coughing up blood.

Kasai tried to use what little medical knowledge he knew, but it wasn't enough. Hana told him with her last words, that even though he kept himself so far away, she felt happy, that he would come back for her. Kasai didn't understand those words, but would later on.

Luckily, a few Shinigami's came and killed the Hollow before it could kill Kasai.

After that, Kasai graduated very quickly, deciding to grow more powerful for the sake of his mother and his lover.

Find the right Division was hard for him. He hated direct combat, so the 3rd and 11th were out. He had no strength in shunpo or Medical knowledge so 2nd and 4th were also out. He decided to give the 13th Division a shot, but after a while, he grew board with it. It was then, that he decided to join the 12th Division.

He began experimenting a lot and made many ideas for inventions to help Shinigami fight Hollow better. For the year or so, Kasai began trying to communicate with his Sword's Spirit but to no avail. He then tried what many other Shinigami have tried and sat in a meditative stance and tried to enter his Zanpakuto's World. Standing in front of the huge Gates of Hell found in

To his surprise, the spirit that then came out, was in fact his father's. His father told him that his spirit wasn't in the mood right now and sent him out instead. Angered and confused, Kasai leaped out and attacked his father, releasing his sword right before striking. To his surprise, all his father did was put his hand in front of the blade and returned it to it's original state, saying that he should wait and let him finish talking before anything else.

His father then told him that they were actually the same person. Kasai didn't believe him one bit (would any of you?), but his father said that he had rewritten his memories a long time ago and that his mother's (wife's) death had actually only happened a month ago.

Pause for Clarification:

Note: Everything you've read so far has been the edited version on Kasai's real life, remade by Kasai's sub-conscious (a.k.a. His Father). Hana was actually his wife during his academy days, when they first met. Kasai made himself think that someone else had killed their mother (a.k.a. wife) to prevent the already weakened self from seeking revenge until they had gathered up enough strength.

So to get the Timeline straightened out, School life was about Kasai and his wife originally. No, she didn't really die, she actually survived and graduated with him. Childhood was really a month ago, with major amounts of editing. Kasai was actually in the bedroom when she was asleep. No, she never was a Prostitute, he just made that up. She really did die in that fire, but it was caused by another person, not him. (You'll find out later).

Back to the story:
After learning everything, Kasai began training with his 'father' for a long time, until they both believed that Kasai was strong enough to seak revenge.

After that, Kasai took a momentary leave from the Gotei 13 and pursue his Wife's killer.

After searching for many months and years, Kasai came back after following a lead that his Wife's killer was somewhere in the Gotei 13.

He went out one night after following a lead and saw a group of Shinigami transforming into strange, Hollow-like creatures. While watching, he was attacked from behind, and turned to see his Wife's killer already had the jump on him: Kaname Tosen. Left alive, his open wound seemed to have gathered the Hollowification Virus and began changing as well.

Luckily though, the memory of his wife kept his mentality in check and he quickly overwelmed his inner Hollow, conquering it during the process.

Kasai then returned to the Gotei 13, deciding that he needed far more strength than he had acquired, if he wanted to exact revenge.

After many years, he came across knowledge that Tosen had defected with Aizen and Gin to Hueco Mundo and felt at loss to words. He knew that Tosen was strong, but if he was strong enough to leave the Gotei, then, he felt, Kasai knew that he was too far out of his reach.

Soon after that, he left the Gotei himself, feeling the need to pursue his enemy a bit longer. He decided against going to Hueco Mundo though. Instead, he moved to Earth, living among humans as a teacher at a High School in Japan.

While teaching, he actually found enjoyment in his life. Sadly though, this peace was destined to be short-lived. As he was teaching a lesson, a new student came to the class. She was a girl who resembled Hana in every way: She spoke, moved, and acted just like her.

One day, Kasai was asked to stay after class with her. Her accepted her invitation, if only to find out how she could be so similar to the one he loved.

She sat on his desk and her external appearance began to melt away. In her place, stood a woman around his physical age. Though woman didn't seem to be the right word to call her. Along both of her cheeks she had three bone extrusions that resembled cat-whiskers. She told him that she was an Arrancar and had the ability to read people's memories and transform into past loved ones.

Enraged, Kasai leaped out at her and attacked. Their fight continued for many hours, shifting sides of winning every now and then. She then asked him if he was having fun. A question that confused Kasai for a moment. Kasai replied that he was and smiled when he realized that this was true.

After hearing this, the woman moved very fast towards Kasai in the blink of an eye and kissed him on the lips. Shocked by this, Kasai jumped back and stared at her, wondering if this was just a trick. She giggled and said that she liked him and that her same was Sayame.

Kasai and Sayame began hanging out many times after that, spending hours doing new things. They became very close and Kasai started feeling things for her that he never even felt for Hana.

Then one day, another Arrancar appeared. He addressed himself as Jun and greeted them very friendly. Sayame though, looked very frightened when she saw him, though she put on a tough act. Kasai saw through her act but said nothing. He left shortly after, but really, he doubled-back to see the two of them arguing.

Sayame turned out to be Jun's younger sister who had run to Earth. Jun talked a lot about family ties and tradition, but in the end said that if Sayame didn't come back with him, he would killed Sayame and Kasai.

Kasai had enough and walked back over, this time in his Shinigami uniform and his Zanpakuto unleashed. Jun smiled, saying that Uninvited guests should stay out of this, but leaped straight out towards Kasai with a blood-thirsty look on his face. Kasai block his initial attack and struck back using his different Fire-Based attacks.

Jun then pulled out his own Zanpakuto which resembled a Kodachi with a serrated blade and released his sword, calling it Shiboo Ookami. He transformed into a large werewolf-like creature with two sets of arms coming out of both elbows and two legs coming out of each knee. His mouth was elongated further than a normal wolf's and was split into four jaws.

Jun fired a powerful Cero from his mouth that destroyed five buildings in a row when Kasai dodged it. Kasai then received the beating of a lifetime when Jun took the offensive. Kasai then retaliated with his different fire-based attacks, shifting from one to another in beautiful synchronicity. Jun then became consumed in all five flames. The Green chocked him with its smoke, the Black filled him with fear, the White pulled him down to Justice, and the Red and Blue destroyed his spirit. Kasai never dealt a blow with his sword, not wanting to forgive him.

After the battle, Sayame bandaged his wounds and wept for her brother, but realized that it was inevitable. She stole Kasai's sword as he laid down exhausted. He tried to stop her, but she had already taken her own life with it, sending her soul to be remade.

After that, Kasai left his Human life and rejoined the work force in the Soul Society. He wanted nothing to do with the Gotei, for it still reminded him of Tosen, though he had already got word of his death. Due to his already extensive experience, was instantly raised to the 3rd Seat when he applied for the Special Human Defense Force.

Kasai's Hollow has a strange ability called, "The Power of Dementia". Which he can choose to give to anyone, not just Kasai. Unfortunately, he cannot possess another individual, simply existing in their mind instead of Kasai's. Another drawback, is that, unless the Body's true soul accepts Kasai's Hollow, he cannot exist in others, even getting thrown out on more than one occasion. He feeds on Dementia also, but this doesn't mean that he can only exist in folks who have plenty of it. He also has the power to inflict dementia onto others, and can cause it to grow severely the longer he exists in you. The only person who appears immune, seems to be Kasai, as he is the original Host and his body must have developed an immunity to it. Also, the longer he stays exposed in another person's body, the more at risk they are of keeping their dementia after his Hollow Leaves them.
