THE BLACK KING
Demonica Nightfang
ブラックキング
ブラックキング
Song: UNKNOWN - Artist: UNKNOWN - Words: 991
Demonica’s feet crunched against the ground as her small figure had walked across the grassy plain in the outworlds of the soul society. As her brown eyes with their white ringed irises glanced around she couldn’t help but tense up, a strange sense of unease permeating her very bones. Something was amiss here, even if the grass turning brown wasn’t a big indicator that something seriously wrong was happening in the vicinity. Or the strange energy signature that was heavily focused in this particular valley, with the distortions in the very fabric of space and time that was being perversely warped by this strange invasive energy, one that she hadn’t felt for awhile. At least since she had ripped herself from the body of ninsun that experimental being that she had become a part of by the order of her queen Inami Asthavon. This energy was strangely similar to that energy, the energy from that weird inverted world, for that reason it bothered her more than watching the ground as it began to twist and churn.
More than the stormclouds that had covered the sky leaving just the monotonous tones intermixed with the eerie greens of an impending storm. This disastrous encounter with this strange energy was. . . Unsettling to the dark berserker, her expression shifting from that normal monotonous shell to one of marginal discomfort, or even possibly something along the lines of dismay as the signature became clearer and clearer to her. This “Energy” if that even was what it could be called, to her felt like a living thing. An alien lifeform that shouldn’t exist in the first place, or even something that could even be considered to be threatening to even someone like her.
”..Sinister..So.. Sinister”
Demonica murmured, her speech strained, and broken. As it had been since she had felt herself shattered on that day. She had remained silent as a third party observing the situation as shinigami seemed to have finally noticed that something wasn’t right, at least to the point that a few had come to observe the situation and even some had begun trying to suppress this anomaly through the medium of kido. Using a multitude of different spells in the quest for containment of it, even though for the most part? None of it was really working.
After watching for awhile the black king had crossed one leg over the other, her gaze shifting from the growing mess to the shinigami’s who battled it. As for the most part in her mind atleast, she was wondering just why they had to try so hard, such as what was the purpose. Why did they need to try to fix something that obviously wasn’t going to be resolved. As with what she knew of the world, there was a natural cause and effect like system worked out. Things happened and because of those things more things would happen, and in this case what had happened was an anomaly had begun screwing with the reality around it, and the shinigami’s had begun to do damage control. The effect of this was merely minimal as they just didn’t have enough power to fix it, and because of that things slowly had continued to spiral out of control.
Yet, on some level? The Demoness found this entire situation to be adequately amusing. Watching others toil for no other reason than to try to postpone what obviously seemed to be the inevitable was more than worth acknowledging their meager and moreover meaningless existences. As while the demoness watched she also was able to see once again the cruel base nature that is reality. How things for the most part usually have a unrelenting force about them, and from that force generally stemmed the emotions frustration and despair, hate and deceit , and for those who chose to embrace it, determination and perseverance.
So as she pondered which position these individuals would be taking, if they would persevere or if they would decide to give up in frustration she had failed to notice that one of the shinigami’s had noticed her, and as most shinigami’s would when they came into contact with a demon, it tried to attack her. Only to have it’s body essentially shredded as it got within an inch of her skin. Other then that pretty incident though she waited and watched to see if anything interesting might continue.
