In the crowded city of tokyo japan, the vice-captian of squad 7 had been moving amongst the outskirts her eyes trailing listlessly across the ground, searching for something, be it hollows or something more dangerous, as was her duty as a member of the gotei 13, to patrol the world of the living to look for potential threats to the humans that lived there. As she flew, she reflected on the bizarre change of events in her life that had led up to her ultimately becoming the vice-captain of squad seven, the internal affairs division. Her new vice-captains badge secured firmly around her neck, in the form of a stylish choker that reflected the lights rays slightly when she banked just right to cut abruptly to the left into the treeline, following a strange blip that had passed by in her peripheral vision.
“..Wha?”
Not the most intelligent of things the likes of animum had ever uttered, but she cut herself off before she could finish her own sentence, searching the treeline for that blip that she had picked up earlier, that small split second movement that she had noticed. Her eyes shifting from left to right before she finally found what had been caught by her eyes earlier. The movement had belong to a suigura, one that for now was whipping between the tree’s like the west wind incarnate, dodging the whipping branches that reached for her or him like outstretched hands, Animum for brief amount of time would just remain coasting above the tree’s , studying her or him, taking in their appearance , the build, and the muscle composition. filing them all away in her vast mental stores that her mind possessed.
Fluidly the Vice Captain of Squad Seven, Animum Desponde had swooped down, her wings vanishing with a contraction of her spiritual pressure, allowing her to drop rapidly below the treeline, landing lightly like a cat on her front toes on a branch that had whipped into her vision upon her descent. Bending at her knees she then had lightly sprung from the branch causing the tree it was attached to, to quiver a tad bit while she then began to shadow the suigura. Not doing so to be creepy, but out of a base curiosity to see what the individual was up to, as for now? Using her spiritual sensory she could virtually identify any problems in the city in the back of her mind while she for now focused on the task at hand, which was stopping the individual to accurately gauge A) if they were a threat to the city itself and its inhabitants. B) Who they were, seeing as it was a long way from the suiguran lands. Anything else she gained from the impending interaction would just be an added bonus.
”..Ahem..”
Animum chose to alert the other to her presence simply by clearing her throat, and doing so rather loudly. The sound crossing the space and lingering there as the vice-captain gave the other time to realize that there was someone following them, and hopefully the suigura wouldn’t bolt in some odd and spontaneous direction as she finally began to speak to them, picking her words so that they would be as blunt and to the point as possible.
”..Hello there.. I am Animum Desponde, Vice-Captain of Squad Seven, I know i may be interrupting but do you mind if i inquire what you are doing here?”
After she finished talking , animum merely kept in step with the suigura, matching step for step their speed so that they wouldn’t either have to fight to keep up, or slow down to give her an answer. Then, it was only a waiting game, to see what kind of answer she would get.
