Advocates Of Corruption Set 2

Spoiler:

  • Item Name: Heart of Asura
  • Item Type: Weaponry
  • Used For: Supplimentary
  • Class: D-S
  • Item Description:
The Heart of Asura is a unique advocate, both in form and ability. It takes the shape of a sphere-like gemstone. The stone is crimson in color, small enough to fit between two fingers easily and hardly seeming threatening unlike its counterparts. The Heart is also harmless on its own, not being a pure weapon like many others. Instead, it takes a much closer synchronization with the one who uses it. The Advocate is useless when just holding it. Instead, this creation will fuse into the skin, meshing with the soul and body on a level above that of the others. The stone can be absorbed at any point on the skin, but will often relocate soon after. The stone will appear at the same location for the one using it, but this is not definite for all that come across it. For one that finds this special artifact, it could come to reside in the middle of their forehead every time. A different soul that comes to use it may have the gemstone appear engraved in the flesh of their hand.

Despite a common form, the ability of the Heart is anything but. It comes in two segments, an oddity for something beginning as a D-class Advocate.

The first and less active ability is the reason behind its unique classing. The creation has the unique ability to evolve rapidly, exceedingly more than any other in a short period of time. It feeds on not just chaos, but the negative emotions of the one using it and any that are in the same area. This allows the piece to rapidly transcend ranks, even gaining enough power to become an A or S class Advocate before a battle's end given the right conditions. Unfortunately, there is a trade off to this. The creation will always return to its D-class status at the end of a battle, resulting in this build up being mandatory, and the full prowess short-lived. It can also cause increasingly negative effects on the one using it if their power and will isn't appropriate to manage those higher calibers. It can sneak up on someone and bring them to the brink of insanity.

Additionally, permanent evolution is an impossibility with one exception. The Advocate can evolve into an X-class monstrosity given time and the appropriate conditions. However, this will lead to an overhaul of the piece entirely, and thus this will no longer be relevant. The period between stages can vary, with the object crossing the C or B-class border in a few posts in the peak of conditions, while often the epitome of its power will be seldom seen in most fights. Out of all sources of power, this piece evolves quickest by draining the anger and rage from the user and those around them. Spiteful fury can quickly take the gem from a practical paperweight to a source of limitless potential. This all draws from the source of its name, Asura the god of wrath. Though it does draw from all darker emotions, anger is the main factor in both paths.

The second and direct effect linked with the former is to draw on the Heart of Asura's power. This does vary in effectiveness depending on rank, but the general effect remains the same, only different in scale. Technically, this can be divided into two part yet again! This rarity makes it one of the few Advocates to have three branches of abilities, despite the first acting only to magnify the effectiveness of the dominate two.

The first effect the power of Asura has is to incur anger and spite from all those close by. The range is farther the greater the strength of the Advocate, but it will always effect the one actually using it the most! This is both a detriment and a mandatory factor toward its strength. The farther one is from the user, the less this effect will waver them. To those close by though, minor agitations or even the premise of the battle entirely can cause one to lose all rationality in a short period of time. It multiples their fury from how it would normally increase, leading to some explosive outcomes. Likewise, since it is multiplicative, those more in control of their emotions or without them in general will be vastly less effected than those that naturally feel or work alongside their anger and frustration.

The second ability is an overall increase to the power and ability of the user. This depends on anger, meaning someone that is void of emotion could never actually access this part of the Advocates power, thus making it nearly useless. It is a continuously rising pool of strength and adrenaline that can vastly improve the overall power of anyone that embraces it. Though this does sacrifice a cool head and the benefits associated with it,, in return the user will gain immense overall might that few can contend with. The more they allow this to fester, the quicker the Advocate will evolve and thus their power increase even further! This will even cause minor physical changes as a result, though few reaching the threshold of being wicked or demonic, despite the energy resonating from the core matching that feeling.

Each level of the Advocate offers different benefits and issues that will be listed below.

D-Class: The Advocate is at its most basic at this point. Its power is near non-existent, offering only the faintest changes for this short period of time. This stage can be dismissed as early as a single post if the proper conditions are met, leaving only a short period where the creation is vastly weaker than most other Advocates. The aura of Asura will generally stretch outward for twenty feet, causing minor agitation to those close by and the user. These feelings can be easily suppressed though. The holder will operate at 105% their normal power, an abysmal increase, but one all the same. Often the effects of this stage can be ignored entirely or flat out miss-able by most,. This is also where the Heart will remain in the worst of condition or if the user actively resists their anger and prevents the creation from evolving.

C-Class: At this point the aura will extend up to fifty feet from the user and cause more apparent bursts of anger. Agitation raises to fits of annoyance and lashing out once in awhile by those more in tune with rage is likely. The increase in power becomes much more acceptable here, but still far from being exceptional. In this state, the effected's blood will pump faster and their spiritual and physical ability will operate at 130% normal levels. Here it becomes more difficult to control yourself, but remains possible and without need of much effort. They will generally find themselves more prone to aggravation. It doesn't take much to increase this even further, though can take several posts on conditions that aren't optimal.

B-Class: The Heart of Asura reaches a proper level of power here, easily able to turn a fight around. The aura now covers an entire hundred foot area around the user, drawing on the fury of any that get close. It now is at the point where even minor disturbances can annoy or waver a person's judgment, including the user. A minor thing going wrong can send someone on an annoyed rant and getting side tracked by frustrations may happen frequently. The user may even go into a state of berserk rage if they choose to or lack at least Advanced willpower to work alongside their building fury. The one fused with Asura will now act at 200% their normal ability. All feats of physical might and spiritual ability or techniques will be augmented by this, putting the user on a new league all-together. This state will be the primary one accessed for the dominant part of a battle, usually taking some time to evolve past. This state will usually last five or more posts before it can go further with the exception of scenarios where negative emotion is more prominent, such as a war or special case.

A-class: At this point, the power of the Advocate will become immense, able turn the tide of dire situations to the favor of the holder. It will even begin to cause physical changes, the flesh turning red from the blood pumping and veins starting to pop up from the skin. The body will start to appear more muscular and radiate a red aura of concentrated fury. This is generally the peak of power one will reach using the Advocate. It is typically seen toward the end of a fight when the user has had time to build upon their rage and ascend to this state to end things. The aura will encompass a four hundred meter area around the user, causing the blood of anyone near to boil and their every feeling of spite being drawn to the surface for any arbitrary reason. It makes it hard to focus. This is extensive for both the user and those too close. Any not devoid of emotion or that don't have at least a master in willpower will lose 1 rank in their focus while in the field. Likewise, the user will be subjugated to a state of unyielding rage unless they have Master level willpower or focus (after the deduction effect). This can become risky due to a lack of reasoning and strategic thought while in that state. perhaps it is worth it though, as the increase here is at its highest point for most realistic scenarios. The overall power of the user will now operate from 300% up to 350% physically, spiritually, and in all natural functions such as reaction time and senses. The world may seem to move in slow motion, and the adrenaline rush will course through the body like a wave. This rush is so intense that pain tolerance will even be raised a rank. Typically one can only surpass this state in the ending parts of a war or something of such scale where dark emotion is in excess. On the contrary, the alternate way to surpass this point is through something that personally incurs the berserk rage of the user, such as the loss of a loved one or a personal enemy one has sworn to obliterate by any means needed. Though rare, it is possible, and something most will not see or experience.

S-Class: The epitome of the Advocate's power, this is can take someone to a whole new level all together under the guidance of unfiltered rage, In most cases, this will definitely result in a fit of berserk-like aptitude unless one has a grand-master level of willpower to keep it in check. The aura does not see any change at this point, but what does see the largest alteration is power. The rage will manifest as a clearly visible cloak of crimson energy. The spiritual pressure of the effected will raise to extreme levels, not only increasing their potency, but even raising the person's tier an entire level when this is reached. Muscle mass will expand substantially, the skin blood-red from adrenaline and the dark power over taking those effected. The ground will tremble under this kind of pressure, breaking apart with each step. Great heat will flow outward from the body in excess, enough to even ignite some materials. In this state, the person's rage will become so intense that it becomes easy to ignore pain, wounds, and even bypass illusions and such through the torrent of emotion. It is an extremely dangerous state that can give anyone trouble when contending with it. This stage also has another flaw. It is dependent on anger, and thus anything to quell or calm a person's rage can weaken it. If successful, any means of calming the user will result in this stage becoming null and returning to the power of the A-class Advocate until sufficient events occur to trigger it again. It should also be noted that once the Advocate's power is deactivated, anyone that accessed this level of power will be thoroughly exhausted for the remainder of the thread, and possible more that follow. This makes it unlikely to be able to engage in multiple battles that don't happen back-to-back.
  • Notes: See Advocates of Corruption for further detail on all Advocates. As this is multi-classed, the requirements and drawbacks will alter to fit the rising power of the Advocate as it evolves.

  • Item Name: Alondite
  • Item Type: Weaponry
  • Used For: Offensive, Defensive.
  • Class: S
  • Item Description:
The Alondite is one of the most powerful Advicates to date, one of the few to attain the power of an S-class ranking, Its power can easily contend with even a master's full power alongside their bankai, but with such power comes immense corrupting force few can bend to their will. The weapon, despite its nature,, appears extremely mundane. The Alondite takes the form of a broadsword, five feet long and thick enough to leave giant gashes in everything it cuts. The guard is a brilliant dark gold. The metal blade shines like silver, having two flat ends that come together in a sharp point at the end. It os a very refined blade, its very form a statement of perfect craftsmanship given to house such power. It has an allure to any that pride themselves in swordsmanship, a blade any would be proud to wield and utilize on the battlefield. Its simplicity is done so well that it adds even more beauty to it than some of the more sophisticated works of weaponry, or even art.The weapon has two abilities, both exceedingly potent. They cover two sides of defense and offense, one focused on each half of battle. Together, they give the owner of this monstrous weapon a grand increase to their arsenal if they are even able to hold this tool of destruction.

The first ability revolves around the blade itself. Alondite is a blade of immense might, something even bankai-level weapons will have a hard time keeping up with. Its power is honed through the steel itself. Corrupted energy flows through it, altering the way it effects the world with each swing. It has a spiritual weight to it that makes each strike feel more powerful than it may actually be. Cutting through stone can give the impression that the holder just sliced through something much grander, like a mountain. While not the ability itself., it is a byproduct of it. The Alondite's power is to sever anything it comes in contact with much more effectively and over a wider spectrum than a normal blade. It can obliterate simple attacks like cero or even higher-rank kido and carve through most defenses like butter. Even the strongest of hierro and barriers will not last long against the blade. This all stems from the unique energy it exerts with each swing. This can be seen through traces of purple light that follow its path like an after-image. This is actually the result of extra energy obliterate the molecules and material in the path of its swing.

The Alondite is surrounded in this unseen energy, giving it power to cut through even the strongest defenses in existence if enough force is put behind it. The energy is influenced by kinetic force, where the more power behind it will result in the effect being increased. When it interacts with other particles, the energy draws power from the swing, weakening the direct kinetic impact, but completely eradicating anything that opposes it that is weaker than the slash. This even works against forces that try to alter the blade or use its own power against it, making it difficult to get around it with fancy tricks. Of course, it is only with the weapon's path, so dodging is always an option. This precise use of obliteration allows the complete removal of whatever it cuts, not even leaving blood, cells, or reishi left in its wake. This can make healing more difficult and bypass defenses focused on technical ability more easily, such as those that divert energy away. This process can completely null those by obliterating the energy particles that attempt to bend the blade's force and cleave through the defense with greater ease. Like above, this will reduce the impact force of the blade, but will result in more damage to everything it hits directly in opposition to causing more destruction on the terrain or the rest of the body. This power can even oppose the very concept of space and abilities that alter it, destroying the energy involved and returning things back to normal in the weapon's path. Though it should be noted that extremely strong weapons like zanpakto or similar items will be much more resistant to obliteration due to having far more reishi than most objects. Even they will begin to break down and show damage if exposed to it excessively,

Obliteration is the unique process of converting physical power into a type of force that will attempt to destroy anything it comes in contact with. reishi, mass, or even unique creations of another dimension, the process of obliteration targets anything and everything to put physical strength on an even playing field with most abilities. However, this is limited by the very source of its power. The weapon draws power from kinetic energy, and thus if the user can not produce the force to overcome an obstacle, this ability can fail; only weakening some barriers or techniques while the rest will consume it and the wielder. When it all comes down to it, the Alondite allows the user's raw physical ability to contend with any other force of nature it normally could not interact with or would have a disadvantage against. While it does give many benefits in the unique way it inflicts damage as well, it does not directly increase the power of the holder, but enable their own power to apply on a much wider spectrum than most could imagine.

The Alondite can also project this ability in the form of a small blast. The blast will vary in color depending on the user, but radiates pure destruction and has a sense of impending doom about it despite appearing fairly average. The energy will follow the arc of the blade, projecting an astral slash that imposes obliteration on anything it touches, This slash has a short range of about fifty feet and will never become wider or taller than ten feet across. It also must always retain the blade-like shape. On the other hand, this can be done multiple times per post and has the same danger as the blade itself. It will go through most defenses and erase particles as it moves. In turn, this makes it weaker as it moves since it forcefully eradicates the basic particles in the air as it moves, but can enable more tricky situations for escaping the weapon's influence despite staying out of close quarters.

The Advocate, special to Alondite and shared by few others, has a second ability that is less like a power and more like an entirely new form. By tapping into the corrupt energy, the holder can cause the blade to manifest its power in a new form. While the basic Alondite will remain, the holder's body will be shrouded in the armor of the Black Knight. This armor is made entirely of dense metal and layers upon layers of chain-mail. It is bulky, heavy, and more durable than most things in existence. It even comes with a helmet, boots, and a crimson cape that flows behind the back. This material gives off much the same feeling as the blade, that is is better than it appears and the feats it accomplishes are more grand than they should be. This is due to them sharing the same overall ability. The difference is that the armor is intended as an ultimate defense, rather than an ultimate attack.

The armor of the Black Knight has few openings and can endure -insane- amounts of damage., Even attacks on the scale of a cero oscuras will be unable to cause much damage to the armor or the one inside it. Abilities that would operate against heavy defenses like it will also prove ineffective. This is due to the use of obliteration like the blade itself. The armor emits a constant inch-thick field of obliterating energy that destroys particles rapidly. Abilities that would try to alter the armor or effect the one inside are often destroyed before they can do anything and most average attacks will be vastly weakened before they make impact. It isn't any help that without this ability, the armor is still incredibly dense and durable enough to survive the impact of powerful warheads without extensive damage. This also means that anyone who makes contact with it will have they flesh burned to nothingness with extended exposure. This ability is passive, but can be stopped over time,. The obliteration process forcefully drains an appropriate amount of energy from the user to work, so each time it occurs, the one wearing it will become more fatigued, especially when used against stronger foes or potent techniques. Once they run out of energy, they will likely collapse under the weight of the armor before it fades away. Additionally, since this operates as a field rather than drawing energy directly from a sword swing, it is less effective. Most abilities and techniques that would only touch the field for a fraction of a second would be less effected than when facing the blade itself. This allows faster techniques to hit with a larger percent of their full strength. In fact, the only abilities at risk of being completely eradicated are those that are drastically slow in taking effect or linger passively.

The weight of the armor makes things worse over time if they choose to move a lot. The weight is an especially cumbersome part of the armor. it doesn't just hold them down physically, but restrains their soul. This will make moving more difficult, even slowing their speed by an entire rank. Use of energy techniques will feel like they drain more power than usual, making it more important to act conservatively with their power. The speed deduction can be negated if the user has Grandmaster strength, but only then. Most will be unable to meet that requirement to use this armor at its fullest. Even so, it is an immensely powerful piece coupled with Alondite and can turn the wearer into an unstoppable one-man fortress of a warrior. Some can even use the weight to their advantage. It will make their strikes carry some more force naturally and add more resistance against kinetic forces.

The armor, given excessive force or a lack of energy to maintain its coat of energy, can be destroyed. This is extremely difficult to do, something that won't happen or even be considered possible by most.. However, if done, the armor can not be reformed. It does not regenerate and acts as a wall. It is one of the strongest walls in existence, but once its been broken through? Its gone for the duration of the thread. It is one of the fatal flaws when compared to things like hierro that can be repaired after being broken through. The weight it puts on someone also makes it less of a flawless defense, and more of a forceful one. Often a person will be forced to take the brunt of attacks of immense power due to the loss in speed, and thus its great defense is essential to the survival of the one using it. So long as they act intelligently and don't waste too much energy, the defense should remain in tact against nearly all opposition that assault them.

Alright, I'll be the one checking these pieces of equipment for the time being.

First off, the Heart of Asura seems to generally be okay except for two things. The power boosts from each class level is massive. A 0 tier is needed to use the S class, so it'll be able to give a boost of almost over 400%? That's a powerful bonus to someone, and even at the earlier levels, it is quite massive. From 105-150-250-400-S class, it's large leaps in terms of how much power is given to the user for simply getting angry enough. On the right character, they couldn't be stopped by -anything- in their path, even someone who's much higher in power normally, they could then stomp on that stronger person. Secondly, is there any type of drain to these boosts? From what is listed, it seems like as long as the person is angry, they get all of these bonuses and the possibility of the equipment upgrading. Those are my gripes about this piece of equipment.

Now for the Book, I can't give my approval. This is for quite a few reasons, the first one being that unless Ruvik personally knows every type of magic and every application to it, it is impossible for him to be the one to forge this book since it still is created through what he knows. Secondly, it gives the reader access to every ability from every race essentially through simply reading it, which would be pointless if they don't have the energy in order to cast Demon magic. The downside of possible insanity is something worth noting, but the general usage of this book is too great to be approved unless either nerfed heavily, or rewritten entirely.

Lastly, I can not approve the last piece of equipment listed. For the first part of this ability, it allows the user to cut through anything in their path. This leads to an attack that can barely be defended against, and with the description, tears through powers that are meant to specifically move energy away from certain strikes, something that should work against this blade with how it's constructed. It offers too great of a destructive for to be approved as if with no drain in the offensive form. In the armor form, the drawbacks seem fine enough with the only problem being the defense it offers of making most attacks entirely useless along with have the field around it that can burn essentially everything that comes into contact. That's simply too much being added unto the 'ultimate defense', making it ultimately too powerful to be approved.

As one final note, I would like to have a ruling of a thread needing to be created for any piece of equipment that would take a day or longer, such as rank A and up. It can be fairly small in terms of size, but something noting that yes, it was created through legitimate means, would be appreciated.

Unless another staff member has an issue with this check, I am keeping this in unchecked until either the changes are made to nerf the equipment, or I am given the A-Ok to sending this to denied.

Removed the Grimoire for now. I'll repost it when I get an idea for its revamp.

Heart of Asura has had its buffs slightly nerfed (mostly in the %s). The forms also take a long time to build up to their stronger levels ( given most fights not lasting long enough to go above B for long) and can be easily countered by calming the person in some way or replacing the emotion with some other aspect, such as fear.

Alondite further clarified on function to reduce potential abuse and pseudo nerf it, armor was also further clarified and actually nerfed.

[adm]After having read this over I am going to go ahead and make the call to deny this equipment. Even with the changes Zane made and Game's best efforts to balance, this seems like simply too much. If any other staff member has issue with this, please come to me directly and I'll happily re-visit this issue at another time.[/adm]
