Desmond had to admit that this was quite the travel, of course he could have flew up to the top of the mountain but where was the fun in that? Instead he had gone through the task of rock climbing up to the very top, afterall if such a heroine was up there Hayden wanted to strengthen not only his body but his mind as well- he didn’t want to be the Fallen Soldier anymore. That titled was a mere thought and shell of what he once was, after meeting this heroine he would claim a new title- a new name to begin and show the world just how close to greatness he was coming to. He would no longer be a mere soldier, even if he never openly admitted he wanted to be a true hero that people could look to- he needed to be something new.

As he reached the top of the mountain he sat down with a sigh and a yawn, the snowy peak reminded him of a winterland as some would say but for Hayden it was another area that would bare witness to the change he was undertaking with the aid of Cirno Iramasha. He had heard a few stories about the girl but he reserved his judgements till he met them; if they where there to greet him he would lift up a calloused hand to wave to her and explain his presence after all showing up unannounced without providing a name was a little rude and un-hero like right? So the Vanguard and Vizard corps operative would get to his feet before letting out a warm breath into the cold area.

“Cirno Iramasha!? I am Desmond Hayden- once known as the Fallen Soldier! I have come to accept your challenge and become my greatest self- I want to leave here no longer the Fallen Soldier and with the knowledge to become the greatest version of myself!”

He exclaimed this with vigor the heavy voice would echo at least twice before he waited for a response, the male was not in his normal armor no he had thrown that into the fire. Now he only where his old tattered shinigami robes or rather what he used to train. It was almost a time or rebirth for the man; he had gained control of his Hollow, Subjugated his death matter, and now he was seeking the heroic path from Cirno. Perhaps he would leave with his own sense of right and wrong- along with what it meant to be a hero. After all; it would be boring to leave here the same person or completely like Cirno so for now the former Fallen Soldier was ready to learn- to arise from the ashes that he once festered in.

THE FRIGID HEROINES ATTACK

Artist: Cucumber Quest- Song: Noisemaster's Theme - Word Count: 865

This place was starting to become more packed by the day. Hour by the hour, it seemed that more folks were beginning to venture to this summit and it was becoming quite the hot spot to be. So much so that The Angel of The Ice seemed to have an idea to expand it and begin building sanctuaries for her followers, fellow heroes n' heroines and allies to call home. It was clear that the lone celestial whom owned this mountain top had quite the task ahead of her.

But, that didn't mean she wasn't enjoying herself.

Oh no.

All of this was unexpected, but welcomed. She was helping so many souls find their way and it was a joy to watch them all bring new light into this dim world. Bit by bit, she was doing her part to make the world a better place and it was a super satisfying feeling to watch her work expand, grow and spread into the four corners of the globe and beyond in the way that it has for the past month or so.

So, with that being the case, it seemed that today was going to be no different. For a surge of power was felt stepping forth on the cliff side and it attracted the attention of the holy angel whom called this place her domain. Thus, with her astral sense tethered together with the landscape of this sacred earth-land, the frigid fairy was able to get a good observation of the male.

Huge. Muscular. Fierce. Fiery.

Those were four words which came to mind as she over viewed him approaching her sweet little home. Therefore, it didn't take a rocket scientist to deduce that a guy of this caliber was obviously scheming to plot his way up here for hero business. Sooooo, why shouldn't she open the welcome wagon? After all, it's quite a pain in the rear to travel to this frozen place. Snow, ice, frigid winds and constant overcast skies were sure to make most travels faint of heart turn their eyes away!

Thus, because of how difficult it was to reach this place, Cirno decided to go ahead and appear out of a cloud of smoke roughly teen feet ahead of Hayden. Arms folded, grin cocked and eyes fixed on the cold eyes of the traveler before her; the frozen celestial stood in all her four foot eleven glory. With the air giving a harsh gust of force following the end of Hayden's speech, the ocean air of the Iramasha danced in the wind as she decided to let her entrance sink in and have a "cool" moment.

...

Kay. That's boring.

Pointing her right index finger at Hayden caused her to unfold her arms and the placid white dress the celestial adorned blew wildly in the wind as she approached him; each step echoing the crunching of her bare feet against the winter grounds beneath them.

"Is that right, Mr.Hayden? Then tell me, why DO you want to become the strongest version of yourself? I've got to know just why you are here before we go into that!"

With a hop, skip and a dash; The Angel of The Ice would snicker, flick his nose and then jump back on the ground as flutters of ice danced around the two. Clearly, she was in quite the chipper mood, but when was this little cluster of holy energy not?

As the days and weeks passed, the deeper Cirno attuned herself to her angelic nature, the better she started to feel and the more increased her happiness became. So, as she became further cheerful, there was n o reason NOT to share that delight with the world around her and those who live in it!

Ergo, with that much known, all that was left to do was observe and see what the man's action would be. But, she would snap her fingers and suggest one more thing:

"Oh, and Mr.Hayden, I'd like ya to also accept this little bond. Youuuu see, in order for me to be of any use to you, I gotta have a link to your spirit. Otherwise....I can't do anything for you! Hehehe."

With a wink of the eye, miniature stars of silver energy seemed to fall into the breeze as the jovial energy of Cirno would almost be infectious at that moment. Hayden himself might find himself becoming relaxed, at ease and feeling quite serene as her heavenly oozed across the lands for as far as the eye could see.

So, as a wisp of silver light wrapped itself around his body, this would be the means in which Cirno could bridge herself to Desmond Hayden and figure out just what was behind this man's motives and reasons for yearning to come to the light.

The only question was: would he be so willing to have himself open to the angel? Time could only time. But, for his sake, she'd hope he was receptive!

Well that was quite the interest to say the least, the little angel appeared in a gust of wind that left an awkward silence for a moment or two. Before him stood a girl barely the height of his charge at the Vanguard; Selia but seemed to be just as lively as she approached the tight ball of muscle known as Hayden. Well see seemed chipper to say the least about her.

Of course she would want to know his motives for deciding to be a hero, to make the travel up this mountain to declare his ‘undying’ loyalty to the heroic movement. It was a simple question one that caused Hayden to pause- this wasn’t a boast or some type of justification for his actions; she was asking for the raw reason why he wanted to be his strongest self and in turn why he wanted to be a hero- it caused him to pause as his body tensed for a moment showing that perhaps a nerve was hit before he relaxed. That was no way to act around someone willing to help him- he needed to relax.

“I… want to protect people.”

His choice of words were true, in fact he had dedicated a large part of his life to protecting people and was willing to die for plenty of them. It was the truth but who was he trying to convience with this mental probing of himself? The former Fallen Soldier needed to know that he was on the right path in his life, that his pragmatic heroism held purpose in the mass of darkness in his head. In his heart there was a darkness that burned just as bright as his will to follow a heroic path- between his Hollow and his out less-than-heroic thoughts it was beginning to become a burden one he might be able to relieve today.

It seemed Cirno wanted him to accept some type of bond, one that would allow them to begin the training to go down this path. This was easily accepted by the Fallen Soldier for this wasn’t the first time he had to let someone create some sort of link to his soul; it wasn’t going to be the last most likely considering the life spans his kind lived.

“Alright.”

It was a simple affirmation he would accept the link, but sudden a light began to wrap itself around his body cause him to tense before instantly relaxing into the wonderful feeling of the light. By the gods did it feel wonderful but what he didn’t know was Cirno would get a window into the tortured soul of Hayden- one that was the willing host of darkness far exceeding what a Hero should have.

Within the confines of Hayden she would feel such sorrow, a pain so deep and within that it could only be described as a lifetime of pain- no not just one but hundreds no… thousands. She would also feel the malicious nature within him one that was augmented by his Hollow, the pain in his life amplified by enormous amounts, this was the soul of a man tortured by not only himself but by a even darker force within him. But that was only the tip of the iceberg, under this coat of pain was a subtle influence of death not to bring death but simply death in it’s existence. It sat within Hayden very being as if the man before her was a part of death- it was eerily perturbing for someone who claimed to want to protect people.

BUT.

If she could see past all the pain, sorrow, regret, and angst within the tortured soul and mind known as Desmond Hayden, she would see a genuine loving man who wished to know his actions meant something. A man that wanted a family or a place to call home, someone who wished to be respected among his peers without the constant nagging of forcing himself to have to prove himself. A man that missed his parents, who was forever influenced by their untimely deaths. There was rage within theman no doubt but under that was compassion, a undying fury that wanted to experience love and change for the better.

She would see a man who didn’t know why he chose to be a hero, a man that was conflicted and torn inside about all the things he’s done and equally proud of them because there where HIS actions. The enigma known as Desmond Hayden was laid out in front of the angel in all it’s uncensored glory that wanted to be solved. The man that had came to become his best self had also come to find purpose and maybe peace- would she accept the challenge to repair the worn man or cast him out?

Only time would tell.

THE FRIGID HEROINE'S POST

Artist: SYNC ART'S - Song: Road of Departure - Word Count: 1051

Well, it was a major plus that the male before her had the desire to want to protect and serve people. And, given the fact that he allowed himself to be open to the angel added to infuse depth to the meaning behind his words. As, anyone could pledge such and oath and mean absolutely nothing with them. Yet, to expose his soul to the celestial, and allow her to feel the passion behind said words, allotted her the capacity to fully believe in and trust in the fact a person meant to do good. And, from this faith, allowed Cirno the capacity to awaken and unlock that light within a soul; no matter how skewed or twisted they may believe themselves to be.

Thus, as The Angel of The Ice peered further into the psyche of Hayden, the greater her astral mind was capable of sensing the inward conflict within his soul. The intensity of it weighed down with the sum total of many thousands of years of negativity, heartache and anguish from the core of antagonism brewing within his inner hollow. This crux of foul being was determined to accelerate and aggravate the spats of fury, hardship and strife inside of The Vizard. As this core of violence within sparked like a cyclone of unending electric rage within the spirit of The Former Fallen Solider.

However, even with that being the case, the potent volumes of suffering and animosity only meant that the promise to do such good was that much stronger. As it took a soul who endured adversity, catastrophe, misfortune and pain to have a light that shines in the face of being challenged by the darkening storm of the world they exist in. And, from this sentiment, would such a belief become reality for Hayden. As, more than anything else, the prowess of the angel would accept that frenzy anger as apart of his being.

And, by learning to tolerate and embrace that aspect of himself, would her faith stone capacities then activate and pull power from that intense emotion. For, behind all of that veil of bitterness and tempers lay the root of a man who simply wished to be loved. A man who was attempting to use what strength he had to reach others and be a pillar of light while his own soul fall to the wayside of night's darkness.

So, to the Celestial, she knew what her duty was as clear as day. On this day, she would assist in the task of pulling that kind soul out from the depths of reddening abyss within Hayden. Then, with her heavenly hand, would she then drag this soul into the white of her alluring shine in order to pull Hayden into what is right and holy.

Hence, from all of this, is where the potency behind his stone of might drew power. And, before the two of them, a cluster of white, red and blue light started to dance around in many particles of light. Within moments, this dusting of energy soon started to form, take root and materialize into shards of crimson minerals. None too soon after that did this gem sparkle and shine with many sparks of white electricity.

As it held it's dazzling glow, the newly forged Faith Stone would then begin to levitate and move towards the chest of Hayden. Although, it would not seem to go any further then that. For, within a flash of light, the Angel of The Ice seemed to morph and emerge to the back of the gem in her mature form.

In the point of view of The Fallen Solider, perhaps it may seem as if he were dreaming, but a more developed version of Cirno would have most certainly appeared before him. One with lavishly long hair, a much taller body which stood at five foot five even and one which seemed further refined in it's shapely frame of a physique. The Angel of The Ice certainly looked like a proper woman in this moment and this was her true essence was coming forth to shine as bright as any sun, any star and any super nova which exist in the cosmos of the heavens.

So, along these flares of angelic might would the all consuming blaze of Cirno's holiness seek to ignite a similar inferno within the embodiment of the Vizard Before her. But, not before he could take this single vow and pledge to The Celestial:

"Well, Desmond Hayden, I thank you for having the courage to expose yourself to me. From that grace, I can allow you to possess the light you seek. But, only if you commit yourself to becoming a person who will fight for the sake of justice and what is right. If one should seek to abuse these powers for their own self desires, then I will have no choice than to retract such a gracious blessing from you. Do you not agree to these terms, Hero Of Furor?"

With each word which was spoken out of the mouth of The Celestial came the tone of someone placid, kind and filled with hope and positivity. As, the pitch of The Angel seemed to possess the same high sounding vocal range of her childish form, but with the mature touch of an older mind and hints of motherliness behind them. The perfect infusion of adult and childhood intermixed into one tranquil sense of inflection and accent.

Ergo, if nothing else, the incantation was uttered out in the air and the gauntlet was thrown in the corner of The Hero. Would he accept to raise to the challenge? Or would he perhaps turn this gift down and detour from this path The Angel offered him? No one quite knew but the inner most workings of Hayden's mind. But, for his sake, The Celestial hoped he would choose the correct route to follow down for the salvation of his soul to come to pass. As, if nothing else, all Cirno desired to do today was save another soul and she could see that this man was aching to find his wings.

Rage of The Winter Wonderland: The Fallen Soldier, Fallen No More! [Cirno's Hero Quest] Empty Re: Rage of The Winter Wonderland: The Fallen Soldier, Fallen No More! [Cirno's Hero Quest]

Artist: MGK - Song: Invincible - Word Count:

The divine visage of the woman in front of him was something new from what he saw earlier of the younger angel of ice, the heroine that would help forge a path of justice for the male. As the visage began to clear up it did feel as if he was dreaming as the newer Cirno made her appearance, the change in body was something of shock for a moment for the soldier who was used to seeing the unexpected. The height change caused him to look up his hazel eyes looking at the cold orbs of the snow heroine with intrigue as his mouth was agap ever so slightly as his lips parted trying to process the information.

The next part that caught his attention was the dazzling orb that had appeared in front of him, the red gem shining brightly in his eyes as his mouth closed slightly swallowing to clear up his dry throat. What was a faithstone was currently floating in front of him next to his chest almost as a indicator of what was to come, the energy radiating from it could be described as holy and just. His eyes could only drift back to the blue heroine as the stone floated near his chest.

The soft yet matured voice of Cirno was heard in his ears that relayed something he rarely heard; positivity and motherliness. Each word spoke allowed him to relax his tensed body as he took in the words of the conditions of what she was willing to give him. To fight for justice and what was right was a small request for the peace of mind he sought causing him to gain a slight smirk and a chuckle as his eyes closed looking down before back to her with the passion he rarely displayed and saved for his rageful moments. But this wasn’t rage, this was the same passion he held for rebuilding his clan- for finding his place in this dark world and be the beacon of light people thought he could be.

“You wish for me to fight for justice and what is right no matter the cirucmstances? Well Cirno I wholeheartedly agree to face down those who trample on justice and will fight for what is right with a passion. I ain’t a coward and if this is what it takes I’ll travel this path even if it kills me!”

The words came out with ease as he stood straighter slamming his fist into his heart as he took the pledge, he had allowed her to see everything wrong with him including his faults and mistakes. She saw him for every ugly sin he had ever committed and believed he held the spark to bring light to the world. He’d be the torch carrier for each soul that couldn’t make it this far, he’d fight for what he believed was right. He believed he could do this; he believed that wholeheartedly that even he could find the peace he sought.

“What’s next? You got my blood pumping so don’t tell me this was just a motivational speak, what does the frigid Heroine have to display to this old dog of war?”

Each word was accompanied by a renewed vigor showing his willingness to learn from the woman, his fist clenched tightly to his chest as his hazel eyes shifted to the maroon that only showed when his blood was pumping. However, a side effect to this was the extra outpouring of death matter in the air due to his excitement and passion heating up but it wasn’t malicious for once it seemed… hyper. While neutral in feeling it was clear Hayden was gaining some vigor to himself.

THE FRIGID HEROINE'S POST

Artist: Kenji Yamamoto - Song: Fusion Complete - Word Count: 945

There was certainly a tension felt in the air as Hayden anticipated the creation of his Faith Stone. And, to Cirno, that was a normal reaction. Since to her this was a duty which came with a heavy pressure behind it. Many people spoke of being crusaders of right, light and justice; but to actually live it, vow to it and stick with it? Well, that was another story entirely.

For this reason was why The Angel of The Ice was curious to see if Hayden could even live up to that task. The perceived self of goodness within herself had to allow that faith to at least have an opportunity to cultivate and grow. Everyone needed their chance!

Baring this sentiment into mind, as Hayden decided to step up and take his oath to heroism, Cirno could do nothing more than be happy to hear his stance. It was at this point that his life had the opportunity to forever change for the better if he let this experience fester, expand and grow his personality, soul and powers to ascend him towards being an improved, enhanced and enlightened version of himself.

'Those sins....are in the past. Avoid repeating them and let them go.'

In a pristine and clear mental voice, The Celestial of The Ice would telepathically inform him to accept the wrongs that he had committed in the past, and move towards making those sacrifices count towards something greater. Since, as he shared his history littered in blood, The Celestial couldn't help but relate to her own progression to this point. As Cirno herself was but a fallen angel for a time and behaved in ways that still haunt her to this day.

Everything from murder, destruction and rejection of herself and her angelic essence were apart of the wrongs she ventured down. However, even with all of that, the light still shun down upon her and allowed her second chance to cleanse herself of these sins and work towards being a better a person. Hence, Cirno would give the same opportunity to Hayden and hope he uses it wisely.

Thus, she would accept these wrongs and seek to infuse his Faith Stone into his core and soul. In doing so, there would be a swelling of a burning feeling coursing through the veins of the vizard. Comparable to breathing new life into death, there would be a sense of powerful vitality and flames surging within him as her divinity and light overwhelmed every bit of his body to merge this stone with Hayden.

Following that, a crimson aura would undoubtedly devour and spread around his body to signify the completion of the bonding which took place between him and his heroic essence. In doing so, The Angel of The Ice would jump backwards and begin to materialize an orb of silver light behind her. Already she was preparing to dive into the next lesson and teach him how to harness the prowess of his new tool of justice.

With a smile smeared across The Celestial's face, she'd then point her right index finger towards the male and begin infusing the information of the stone's depths into his mind. In doing so, he'd have a fair idea of what the gem is capable of and understand the proper grounds to test it on.

Ergo, with the nodding of her head to signify her start of the next phase of training, she'd snap her fingers and have the cluster of energy split into two waves. One went to his left, the other to his right. The objective? Punch them and see if he could dispel him using the metaphysical prowess of the Faith Stone.

However, it was going to take a lot more than just a desire. No. He was going to have to wholeheartedly commit himself to this task. It wasn't a matter of willpower which required the activation of these mystic gems, but rather, a genuine intent to do good in the world and expand ones strength for the benefit of others. If that could not be felt, then these stones were about as useless as paperweight to anyone wielding them.

As not every type of determination was right and just in this world. There were those who had the determination to become strong for the sake of being strong, others possessed the determination kill for the sake of blood and some held the determination to as much evil as one's self physically and spiritually could. And, judging from Hayden's past, the sort of determination he possessed was solely for his own fame, strength and selfish motives; no matter how hard he tried to mask it.

Thus, his task was beginning to become clear: shift the gears of greed within and accept the spirit of generosity, wholesomeness and light to begin the process of altering his soul to become attuned to the world of justice. For, with his soul evolving and purifying, there was more that the prowess of Cirno could do to better help awaken his latent prowess. And that's what this training was all about.

Henceforth, with the journey set before him, these instructions would be inscribed into Hayden's mind and he'd be made fully aware of the circumstance he was tossed into.

And, with a single motion of the hand, Cirno dared for that inner light within Desmond to ascend to the forefront of his consciousness.

"Now....shine for me~"
