Song: Megaman Legends - A Place Nobody Knows
Here he was, for some odd reason, having found himself on this side of the planet and on top of a strange mountaintop no less. Everything about this area was bright, sunny, warm, and clear as he flew his way over the large rock formation; except for the top, which is what made it so strange. Where everything else was covered in thick amount of trees and sandy areas, the top of this mountain was seemingly painted in white in a haphazard manner. Snow, for no reason, on top of a mountain in the middle of a tropical area. He was sure that the woman broadcasted for him to meet there though, so he wasn't going to doubt the location after finding out what he did about the cursed shield; anything was bound to happen in this world. "Master... I think this is it." came a voice from near his chest, a small vixen glancing up from the middle of his half zipped-up jacket. "Yeah I see it Nina, brace yourself." he warned, steering the plane towards the mountain after giving one more pass around it.
The aviator would make his way to a safe spot to land, the plane creeping to a halt before he let the dark furred creature slip out from its practical safety harness, the inside of his zipped up jacket. He felt a little bad that he didn't have the materials to make that seat belt for her that he promised, and even now, he still couldn't make her the protective brace necessary for her to be in the seat during his flights. Next time though, he'd make sure to get to it next time, no delays. In either case, once they both made it out of the plane, the two would find themselves in the presence of snow and a somewhat windy atmosphere, still clear skies, but very chilly temperature surrounding them. This wasn't what he was here for however; Lex was here quite frankly to get his mind off of the visions he had about the woman, Pyra. As strange as it was, there was no point in his life where his evolved ability to see events of his past variations would change into anything different.
The funny thing was that his 'evolved ability' by that standard was different to begin with, everyone of his timeline being able to see their ancestors, not find out through these visions that they had past variations that actually existed. That's when the thought crossed his mind, could it be that this Pyra woman was possibly his ancestor, that his ability to see these visions was correcting itself on what he was supposed to be watching? That could be it, but something deep inside of him was making him feel that there was another explanation to it; something about that woman was specifically reaching out to him, he already had three visions of her so far, and each one becoming more intense than the last. Even now, just the thought of the majestic woman of interest was starting to make him uncomfortable again, the images of her death and the pain of losing her coming in small waves through his mind.
"Master... Master! You're doing it again... what has gotten into you lately?" came the voice of his close companion, snapping the dark skinned man out of his miniature trance. He cleared his throat and glanced down at the dark grey vixen, seeing the pair of concerned sapphire blue eyes staring up at him. "Sorry, come on, we need to get going if we're to find this girl." he advised while moving forward, going straight for the igloo where he was sure the woman who had broadcasted her intentions was sure to be.
His second reason for being here after all, her interesting words of 'finding out what kind of hero you are.' Now, Lex was no newcomer to heroic acts, by technicality anyway, but he gave this quite a lot of thought after the incident in the forest and talking with the dragon girl Selia. He had to make sure his heart was in the right place. By now, Lex knew damn well that his past variations weren't always good, whether they had good intentions or not, some of their goals having twisted into the element of chaos to get the justice or order in the world that they desired. He couldn't have that, he couldn't afford to ride that fine line between 'good' and 'evil,' become a simple vigilante or a simple criminal either. If this person could help him define his desire to help others in a way that didn't compromise the world, he was all for it.
No matter which variation of Lex he had witnessed, nine times out of ten, most of them were vengeful, protective and mostly caring, but vengeful... vicious... merciless. He couldn't afford to go that route, not with this life, and it wasn't that he felt any different about any of his past philosophies, but he didn't trust his own power. None of his past lives had such great power to this degree, ever. Each one had their own unique thing about them, yet he had a unique thing and could achieve everything the previous ones could. This, was dangerous; if he was going to be responsible, he needed to take this into consideration and treat it like the serious situation that it was. He had to keep himself in check with his thought process or he could be a major threat for the world.
He couldn't help but crack a smile at that thought. How delusional to think himself so important, right? He must have picked up that trait from the other Lex variations as well. Either way, this was the first step, defining his heroic merit and not choosing just to save who he wanted to save or serve what he wanted to serve. He had no wife to dangerously obsess over as far as her protection, at least not now. Only the world was his obligation, so he would treat it with the same amount of sincerity and concern.
With that thought, he had reached the igloo and knocked on what he assumed was the door several times, not even sure that this person with an affinity of ice was even around. The small sentient creature sat by his feet, staring at the door calmly as her black tipped tail swayed slowly side to side in wait of their host, keeping her attention to her master's thoughts since they arrived. She was used to the variation of him that was during her timeline being serious as well, but not this serious, it was a bit odd to say the least. She just hoped he didn't take his self appointed position too seriously as the other one did, she would hate to have to do something she would regret to him as well...

THE FRIGID HEROINE'S POST
Artist: Kenichi Koyano - Song: Airport - Word Count: 1024
Another day, another adventurer.
That is what Cirno thought of as she sensed the pulsation of a familiar presence approaching her snowy domain. It seemed that this summit was becoming quite the well-known place in order to hone and focus a persons inner heroism. Since, as the weeks and months passed after The Snowy Child opened her doors to the world, The Angel Iramasha's home had seen many visitors seeking to embrace their righteous light in the hopes of awakening something holy within.
It was honestly quite the beautiful thing to the frigid spirit because she never imagined that her training, teachings and tools would ever be used to this extent. Watching all of these souls grow with the guiding assistance of her hand made the frozen youth quite happy. As, within the depths of her mind, there was something about that generous persona within that wanted to come out and help push the celestial further towards her angelic roots. The more perceived good she did, the greater the desire that this gentle nature inside yearned to come out and show her true charitable spirit to a world filled with darkness.
It is for this reason why Cirno would then be awaiting atop her igloo for the plane to drop down. With a thrilled grin smeared across her face, the ocean haired youth let her hair blow against the tender, milky skin of her neck. Meanwhile, those sparkling blue eyes of The Angel would fixate themselves upon the bronze skin male readily approaching her home. With a wriggle of the hips, the four foot eleven Iramasha would leap from her peak and land her barefeet against the crisp sound.
While putting her hands on the hips of her pale dress, the six frozen wings behind the holy being would seem to flutter with anticipation and giddiness. The reason being is because she was excited to get another round of training underway. However, that wasn't the only motive behind this reaction either. As, when she inspected his face, she recalled the male from a risky undertaken they experianced none too long ago.
Indeed, he was recalled as one of the heroes whom assisted with the fight against a foul beast which tried to devour the depths of life within the shadows of Karakura Forest so many eves ago. Therefore, from this positive experience, The Angel of The Ice would welcome him with open arms and give the oak skinned male a quick, friendly hug before jumping up and down with a bit too much hyperactive energy.
"I'm so happy to see you, Mr.Lex! I'm glad to see that you are doing OK!"
Those words came off as very gleeful and filled with booming childish energy. As the voice of Cirno became overflowing with an impression of cheer, openness and a total sense that everything was going to be alright. This atmosphere was exuding and spreading around them in the form of an illuminated mist of light which was white in hue. And, the purpose behind it was to help Lex relax, be at ease and feel himself succumbing to thoughts of joy, well-being and serenity.
Why all of this -- one might ask? Simple: awareness. Cirno was quite aware of his body language and there seemed to be something rigid and harsh about it. Therefore, out of her own heart did she want to help this man unwind, repose and calm down to a placid state of being. It may be a bit pushy, yeah, she knows that, but the angel ultimately meant well by it and she'd hope he'd fill the same! After all, she had all too much optimism to believe otherwise.
Though, in all of her commotion, The Iramasha seemed to forget there was a companion with Lex as well. So, to make up for this, Cirno would poke the strange vixen by the man's side and snicker a bit at it. This is because it was so tiny that The Angel almost thought it was some form of fairy or another. Which, to her, was even more hilarious because some considered herself to be a fairy as well. Thus, they would be in great company if she was't too offended!
"It's also nice to meet you, Mrs.Tinkerbell!"
And like that, she already slapped a nickname to the spirit; despite not even knowing it's name. What a roll she was on!
None the less, they both were probably here for urgent matters and Cirno needed to see to it that she attended to them. Henceforth, a self-assured smirk would creep upon the lips of The Holy Child before her eyes locked with Lex's. It was time to get down to business and see what the Glitched Prophet came for!
"Now, I take it you aren't here to visit me for fun, right Mr.Lex? If so, can you tell me why you've come to my home? Are you here to find your wings and become a hero of justice? If so, I'd be super happy to help you find that!"
With that open invitation given to the man, the ball was then tossed into his court and it would be up to Lex to determine where he would want to go from here. Would he accept the offer, or did he have something else in mind? Time would tell what he yearned for -- and Cirno was so amp'd to find out!
As, to the holy child, today was going to be another exciting day of training, discovery and building another figure to help shine more light into this world of abyssal darkness. There was simply no other path to go down as far as THIS Angel was concerned.
Ergo, all that was left to do was to observe each of the visitors and gauge their reactions to the proposition the all too gittery and giddy Angel of The Ice offered each of them.
Hopefully -- they'd make the right decision!
