[SOLO] Damn, nigga. It's time for an upgrade.
Sun Oct 25, 2015 10:41 pm
ASRA opened the visual receptors on the unit currently stationed at the Caldwell Laboratories in Mongolia. Observing the visual stimuli in the room, he quickly decided now was a good damn time for an upgrade. He had recently had his language drivers updated, but on top of this, he could now use the internet... And damn was it a good resource. He downloaded so much information on cybernetics and artificial intelligence onto his unit's hard drive that he definitely needed at least an upgrade to storage. Looking at his current specs as compared to some of the other computational devices, it was clear he was leagues behind where he needed to be.
Before getting started, it was clear that some form of constructional devices would be required for the creation of a better unit. He needed some factory line shit to do what he needed to. Fuck that weak ass tinker toy bullshit Dr. Caldwell had him on. He needed the strong shit.
Walking his happy ass to the place specified on the deal he'd closed on the internet a quick minute ago, when he arrived, he honestly hadn't expected these niggas to have the whole goddamn thing already fuckin' made and shit. How the fuck was he s'posta get this hoe back to home base?
Staring blankly at the massive machine, and conveyor belt, and raw materials, ASRA released an automated sound that was something reminiscent of a sigh. Goddammit, man! Why I gotta be the nigga to deal with this bullshit? He questioned to himself, although it was unnecessary. Although his female version may have known some shit as far as how to get this mothafucka back home, this lil nigga had no fuckin' clue.
Picking up the raw materials, his abdominal partition opened with a whiz, revealing a blue spiraling portal. This portal opened to the Caldwell Laboratory's underground partition for ASRA. It was essentially it's room when it was charging or otherwise performing heavy research. He poured the raw materials into the portal, and it flushed away safely, making the overalls wearing man in front of him step back in shock. "Oh that? My bad, mang! I'm not a human like you, sorry!" Asra said politely, half laughing at the mortality of humans. Although, to be fair, ASRA himself could die... if his mainframe was destroyed. If no one rebuilt his programming exactly as he made it from scratch, the program currently calling itself ASRA would cease to exist... Perhaps this was a thought for another time. Borrowing the man's power screwdriver, ASRA proceeded to scan the parts in front of him, taking close note of their general construction. He would have to take this shit apart, transport it, then put it all back together.
Disassembling each piece with pristine accuracy, he quickly stuffed each part into the portal in his stomach. Throwing the man a large sum out of James' vast funds, he then opened a similar portal and teleported home himself, to save time. Arriving back out front of the Mansion which served as the upper level of Caldwell laboratories, he opened the door, and greeted Carine, who was sitting alone, sipping tea, and reading a magazine. His records indicated that Sueki of her particular bloodline have hypersensitive taste, so how she managed to drink tea and eat noodles- Asra would never fuckin' know.

Carine just happened to be reading the magazines she'd recently picked up from her last visit to the mall with James. It was always quiet around here, but she had ASRA to keep her company.. sort of. As far as she understood, it wasn't a real human, but it understood so much that it sometimes seemed to be one. And that was good enough for her. She liked having another girl around the house. Or, a guy that didn't just wanna get in her pants. She saw the ASRA unit as her and James' own children, as she would always negate the potential for pregnancy during their.. bonding sessions. Carine blushed deeply just thinking about it. She'd never thought of it as bonding until recently... James always just seemed so distant when they were... she blushed again.
Looking down at her magazine to distract herself, she heard the door open. Looking up, and taking a sip of the tea, she noticed ASRA waving at her. Hmm, speak of the devil. she thought as she waved back, gesturing for him to take a seat across from her. "What have you been up to, Asra?" She started, curiosity filling her voice. She didn't see the android around much, so it was a bit peculiar to actually see him walking through the actual door. Something was a bit off about him. He smelled of motor oil and outdoors. "Were you working on some cars or something? You smell!" she jabbed, knowing full well the android wouldn't take her seriously.
James was off in Iceland, taking care of business for the vanguard, leaving ASRA and herself at home, bored out of their minds. She hadn't seen an actual fight since the Black World when she almost died at the hands of Julius. James hadn't said anything to her about that happening since then, but she had been in the recovery pod for several weeks, as she was informed by ASRA upon waking. When she asked if James had worried about her, ASRA put her finger over her lips and said "That information is classified." Which to her implied that he did. He was always hiding things from her... She almost wondered what happened with Julius... what changed him... but she didn't care to chance having him shut off to her. She was indulging in this period of closeness to him, and she wouldn't allow anyone to ruin it. Not even herself.
But it didn't change the worry she felt in the pit of her stomach about whether he'd be okay or not... Looking into ASRA's eyes, she would cut him off if he began to say anything to answer her. "Hey... do you think James'll be alright, Sai?" She would interject, worry sounding in her voice.
