Lab Partners?

...well.... if she is to follow me... That thought trailed through the Doctor's mind as his body slowly fell back, Hebi emerging from his spinal cavity as it slowly shifted its head. She wants me... to be accompanied... by... her...? He thought to himself, as tired as his mind was. Dutifully, Hebi inclined its head, before slowly turning to Aera, before at last turning to another being that came down to rest before them. ... The Selve's feet connected with the ground, small rivulets of air passing from it in every direction as it slowly undid its cloak. In the center of its stomach, coming out of his naval, was a small garden snake. Hebi slowly slithered through the air, finally reaching the man that was standing there as it thrust forwards, its fangs opened wide as the Selve's eyes widened. ...For anything to be gained... something of equal value must be lost...? The Doctor's consciousness thought, as the snake continued to thrash and burrow about its new host, completely occupying its stomach as the Selve's front was now covered in blood, Hebi completely coiled within its body. After a few moments of this, the Snake's head reemerged, slowly sliding outwards as it coiled around the Selve's side. The skin that was around his stomach began to close up, layer upon layer of skin slowly wrapping along his stomach cavity as he was healed. Around the Selve's right index finger, a metal band emerged, slowly spreading outwards as it formed a solid ring. At last, the empty eyes would close, before widening again as they took on a serpentine appearance. The Doctor, Kabuto Hebi, had returned to this world... though he was weak. "Very... well..." He said, reaching out a single hand to the being known as 'Aera '. Her leering did not seem to faze him in the least... but then again, that may have simply been his exhaustion. When she took his hand, the Doctor would cease to fight the influence on his own body, letting the nature of his 'resurrection' technique take hold, transporting the both of them away... "...ah..." The male let out as they reappeared in his laboratory, within a small room. This room was... strange. It had a couch, a bed, a dresser, a lamp... basically all of the commodities of a very simple home. However, what was unusual was the fact that they were clearly underground. His form slowly crumpled back into the couch, his breathing shallow as he looked over to the fridge in the corner, slowly blinking as he wiped his forehead. "...ha... ha..." He let out, his torso slowly falling forwards as the former Selve's body was still becoming accustomed to hosting its Master. Finally, he swallowed, before gathering the strength to look up at the woman who had followed him home. "...Did you wish... to talk with me...? Miss... Anti-Dimiprin." While he was too tired to give her a new proper name based on examination and lack of information quite yet, he could definitely use that for now. He was curious about her, but there was something a bit more important, as he thrust his body upwards, crashing forwards as he opened up his top dresser drawer. "Come on..." He let out, finally pulling out a small sack, before tilting his face back as he dumped its contents onto himself. A fine gold powder splashed out around his face, and he took a deep breath. The chemical compound Au flowed through his muscles and veins, revitalizing him as his eyes opened wide, slowly leaning forwards once again. "There... we are... I apologize... but... it was necessary..." He informed her, before slowly tilting his head, his body feeling a tiny bit... shaky. "You.. are... eating... my wavelength...?" He asked her, thankful that his wavelength was so weak right now. Functionally, the Doctor's power level had changed to barely that of a Shinigami Vice-Captain. That was the nature of his Resurrection... he would not be at peak condition for at least another three weeks. It was that time that he had to keep himself from harm, and while this thing was supposed to be an essence of Chaos... It would be incorrect... to say that the Doctor's home did not have any reinforcements... should something go very, very south... |

AERA, LIL' ANARCHY
The moment the Doctor had arrived to his laboratory, two facts would be noticed immediately. The first is the unmistakable cacophony of a large explosion somewhere not far off, within the lab, followed by a wide range of other sounds such as creaking metal, shattering glass, and falling rock. The second fact was that the girl who had clasped onto his hand was no longer present after the teleportation technique had taken place, now missing. It would not take a genius like Hebi to put two and two together to figure out what happened even before investigating, though the circumstances leading up to it were somewhat mystifying. One moment the two were hand-in-hand, set to be transported to the Doctor's place of living; the next, the Doctor was left empty-handed while the girl had been warped into another room entirely... and rather violently at that.
Aera had been tossed haphazardly into what appeared to be a room of many vials and tubes, and shelves and beakers. She lied lazily in a pile of debris that presumably used to be a desk and part of a wall, her limbs strung out in ways they probably should be angled at, while one of her arms was completely buried by the pieces of the lab that had fallen. It was like a tornado had passed through the room, and a very obstructive cloud of dust hung in the air to only barely hide the mess it had made. As the woman began to take account of her surrounding, she finally realized that one of her legs was bleeding profusely, as a metal rod was sticking up through it. Suddenly, her powdery lips turned upwards into a smile before widening to bare her teeth. She couldn't hold back her laughter at the predicament she was in, even with teeth clenched. ''Kishishishishishi... kishishishishi!''
It was too much to expect such a creature of chaos comply willingly to a technique with a predetermined destination; surely the Doctor intended them both to arrive in the same place, but Aera's nature defied it. As a result, she was instead teleported randomly within the general vicinity of the destination. In addition, the sudden warping would discharge an erratic force upon arrival, essentially decimating the room she appeared in and throwing her into it at high speed. That is why she was tossed in along with the debris with a rubar spike pierced through her leg. Luckily, there was no chance of her dying from something like this, and if she were to be honest with herself the pain amused her. And so she kept on laughing, and laughing. Her head was tilted back to face the fielding, and her free hand was straining against her chest as it kept shaking from the contractions. ''Hahahahahaha, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!''
As she began to settle down, she thought about just waiting here until she was rescued, despite that a large pool of blood at her feet was growing ever greater with each passing second as the wound kept releasing the vibrantly crimson plasma. Still, that would be boring, and she was here to be entertained. Thus, she began to activate her powers, causing all of the substance around her to slowly darken in color until it was completely devoid of light at all. Without bias, it would begin to melt, becoming a thick sludge-like liquid that flowed away from Aera. All form was lost, as well as any properties that differentiated it from the mass around it. Aera was able to free her arm from the sludge now and sit herself up, as well as move her still-bleeding leg around with the rubar melted away too. 'Dead Matter' is what this stuff was called, a material of no possible use. It could not be manipulated, nor molded, or transformed into anything else; it was just there.
''Now let's see what toys this place has in store for me, hehe...''

"That ridiculous girl…" The Doctor's voice let out, as he slowly stood up again, looking at the hand where he had held her. His eyes widening, before suddenly his left eye made a 'pop', a spurt of blood popping out of his pupil as the veins strained in his socket, his head dipping down slightly. ...Too soon… to activate… the Rinnegan…! He realized, standing there and shaking for a moment. She destroyed… part of what…? Unsure if he had heard correctly, he slowly began moving forwards, his hands gripping onto the side of his Laboratory's hallway support, using it to help him cross the way down the hall as his body was then… sucked into the wall. Transmitted through pure earth, an air-bubble passed from where the Doctor was, opening above Aera's head as he was deposited again, his body falling downwards as his feet landed with the ground… before he lost his sense of balance, his entire body falling backwards as he fell painfully onto the ground. ...My ability to discern flat surfaces… It seems I'm too susceptible to her influence like this.. The Doctor thought, letting his mind, the only developed thing about this body, flare fully into effect. Slowly, his feet pressed down onto the ground, rising up as Hebi pressed itself downwards as a third leg, letting him witness the scene before him. "… Damn it." He let out, having arrived not in the room she was in, but one adjacent to it. … His right hand slowly rose up to his face, closing over his right eye as he gently pressed his head into his palms, before closing his eyes as he used his mind, before rising again as his feet began to move forwards, finally reaching the door as he opened it, looking inside as the puddle that was once Aera flowed outwards, seeing the blood that was on her body. "Wait…" The voice left his lips, before his eyes widened, seeing the pipe that had been destroyed which she had been caught on. Inexorably, a shadowy substance began to flow around the room, as it became entirely blackened. Slowly, his body began to rise, as her speech made him realize… he was being too uptight. So it was that the began to laugh as he slowly turned his body around, looking outwards as from the pile of rubble, a hand began to rise upwards, gripping onto the debris as a Selve slowly escaped from its clutches, its body slowly rising as the Doctor looked at him, before turning back to Aera with a smile. "Well… there's one…" He told her, before chuckling slightly as the being she had released began to emerge into the room, its blank white mask showing as the Edotensei of Slenderman appeared before her and the Doctor. "There's another…" Truth be told, the Doctor did not know exactly yet how to deal with this… stranger. She was not like Nozomi… exactly the opposite it would appear. He would observe for now, to see how she dealt with the two that had joined the room. Of course, it was equally possible that… something might go more wrong than they already were. Edo Slenderman was kept locked away in his own special 'coffin', and that was the room which Aera's body had decimated, releasing the peculiar being, without the Doctor's restraints in place. He did not know if his commands were not being received because of the destruction of the room, or because of Aera's presence, but in either case… He did not believe that he would become bored. |

AERA, LIL' ANARCHY
As the snow-white girl drew her hands from the black muck, some of it splattered across the once-clean floor of the room, and while it was not particularly bothersome to remove, it was trying to destroy the matter that was the difficult part. Technically, it was impossible to damage or change Dead Matter, so the generally the only option was to move it somewhere else out-of-sight, out-of-mind. As Aera moved about, the mess of inky substance continued to spread until she was finally standing up, stretching her body entirely from head to toe. A few of her limbs should have been broken and Aera should be in a life-threatening situation at this moment, but she seemed to... just ignore it. She moved as if she was perfectly fine, and perhaps it came down to a misconcieved notion that because she looked human, she worked like one. She would have been a nice subject to dissect, if Hebi could have the opportunity to.
Aera's eyes were drawn to the crippled body of the Selve attempting to wrest itself from the rubble that hadn't quite been decomposed by her ability. She knew this kind of creature; Nozomi had imparted the knowledge of it to her. She had asked for a toy, and the Doctor had answered—The Selve was a toy. At that moment, Aera's body coiled up, every limb bent as the girl prepared to pounce. She became a blur of movement as she leapt, coming down upon the Selve with both hands in front of her to 'catch' him. There was a fleshy ripping sound followed by a crunch, the room shook as the floor took a blow from her palms. Blood splashed outwards as Aera's hands plowed straight through the Selve's body. Soon after, the life of the creature was extinguished, its snake-like flesh beginning to turn shades darker at a continual rate. In a matter a moments, the Selve was but a tragic pile of Dead Matter that Aera was kneeled in, smiling.
''I killed it,'' she declared jovially, as though she had achieved something of worth. There was not a wrinkle of regret visible upon her face—not a moral compass in her mind telling her what she just did was terribly inappropriate. She looked up at Hebi, as if looking for praise, though something seemed to snap in the girl's mind that drew her attention away almost immediately. Now her red hues were honed on the other object that was pointed out. A faceless man in a casket. Her body began to turn that way and her intent became very obvious very quickly. She surged toward the Edo Tensei body in the same manner she had the selve, clearly believing something different would happen this time. Perhaps this time, though, Hebi would realize that that would not be a good idea. He did not know how Aera's decomposition worked, and he did not know what would happen to even the supposed immortals under his service.

The Doctor was still readjusting himself to being in a new body, and was therefore still getting used to it a bit. Having arrived to the scene of where his 'guest' had crashed in, he observed as he told her what her 'toy' was to be. Seeing her reaction seemed much like an animal, coiling up before springing onto her prey. Her prey who likely would never have been able to see it coming. That peculiar black substance she was emitting, however, piqued the Doctor's interest. Closing one eye, it slowly shifted to red before examining it… and blinking. ...Most interesting… Aera swiftly ended the life of the Selve, its blood splashing onto her otherwise white body, before the Selve was darkened and consumed. She truly is like the Shadow to Dimiprin… very easy to see… but without a rhyme or reason to her movements, pure chaos… The Doctor thought to himself, hearing what she had to say. "Did you enjoy it?" He asked her, before noting that the Slenderman was beginning to appear from its case. ...Shadow Form. He mentally commanded the being under his service, which began to twitch… before vanishing from Aera's sight. Returning behind her, it lashed out with a whip, attempting to coil around the woman's neck. Seeing that the attack did not affect her, the tentacle abruptly fell to the ground, before the Slenderman turned its faceless expression to the Doctor… before fading away into the darkness once again. "Seems he wasn't ready for your play… unless you want to chase him down." The Doctor informed her, before walking into the room of the laboratory that had been frankly demolished by her presence. He walked above the trail of Dark Matter that she left behind her, before blinking as he looked down at her. "Well, I suppose this will have to do as your guest room, seeing as you've completely ruined it…" While perhaps she would not full understand the intent behind those words, the Doctor's intent would be clear to her due to his Language of Madness. Perfectly clear to those who did not follow the typical rules of Sanity, it was of course the only way that the Doctor could effectively communicate with this being. "But really, you have so much fun, but you don't have any 'fun' ways to kill them?" He asked, before another Selve stepped out of the shadows, stumbling forwards as it looked at the woman in the dark substance. The dark substance around its legs began to eat at it, a look of terror appearing upon its face as the Doctor held a hand up to his chin, gently stroking it. "Would you like a toy, perhaps, to use while you play…?" He asked her, to see if there was any kind of 'tool' which this being could wield or use. Indeed, the Doctor was intensely curious about what this being exactly was. After all, the Doctor had absorbed Sir Akat himself… and while the effects of that were still showing themselves to him, he could learn much by observing the habits of this Blank Shadow that could remove itself from the First Quincy. Of course, he did not know if she would answer any of his questions at all. He thought it probable, however, given how she appeared to enjoy... playing, and simply causing for things to not work in their normal way. Her presence caused the Doctor to wonder about all kinds of possibilities. For example, what if he attempted to create an Artificial Zanpakutō with her presence nearby? Would the entire project fail, or would it gain any number of completely random effects? All of these questions swam around his head... But for now, it would be more prudent to see what effect her madness had on how she could communicate... |
