Personality:
Playful: See that damn squiggly line down there? That's her way of poking fun while not expressing too much of her true feelings, which, although most can see the obvious emotions, she knows only James can see further than that, and makes full use of it.

Protective: She can be very protective of James, especially when he's threatened. She can't do much in the way of protecting him, but she can offer some strong ass words. (Like offering to maim someone brutally before they can even speak to James in any romantic manner. Or if they threaten him first. She's a jealous, selfish motherfucker). She can often be seen telling James he "better not be looking for any cute girls out there" before he goes to work, or they may be separated. Though she never displays it openly (and has even managed to hide it from James, who thus far assumes her to be serious) she's more concerned with if he doesn't even take interest in them. She wants desperately some clue that he might care about her the way she slowly came to care about him.

Accepting of James' decisions: Carine doesn't care that James does horrible things, but when he does horrible and stupid things, she makes sure to scold him, and deprive him (And herself) of certain experiences. This usually backfires after about a week, if you know what I mean...

Serious: In short bursts. She may sometimes switch from her usual playful manner to one wherein she is very serious toward a subject. Usually maiming prey. She is only serious when she absolutely needs to be. If she's serious, it usually means only one thing, you should run.

Faithful: The one trait Carine upholds to the max is her utmost faith in James. She believes in his ability 200%, even so much as doubting his death, even in a circumstance where he by all rights should have died (spoiler alert, he didn't). She remains by his side no matter what. Regardless of the organization, or the moral choices, or other questionable life choices James may make, she stands beside him no matter what.

Just a liiiiiittle bit obsessive: As previously stated, Carine will threaten to maim anybody who even so much as looks at James. Though she does this more as a fear tactic to keep James in line, and she often doesn't truly care if that person cares about James. She also has utmost faith in her own ability, and thus doubts that James will leave her for some 2-bit hussy.

Easily Excitable: When it comes to James revealing even the smallest inkling of a hint about his feelings for her, she goes absolutely balls nuts. Though she doesn't actively express it, her face will turn red, she'll try to get away from him, and all the while in her mind she'll be freakin' out about what he just said or did. For instance, in this thread, easily excitable Carine is showcased. Even though she's had sex on a near week to week basis before James, she seems to be unable to cope with the romantic feelings she now has behind her pure desire, and thus blushes and overreacts.

True Feelings: Carine honestly loves James, but she doesn't want to be a bother to him. Often times this leads to her saying or doing things that she wouldn't normally do. For instance, maiming people. She has a little trouble dealing with all these new feelings, but she manages it with an almost grace that few people could under similar circumstances. Carine, though harsh to James out of something like jealousy and fear for his being stolen away by some other person, also makes sure he knows he's cared for by her no matter what. It's worth noting that though Carine is far weaker than James, she is still the only person he fears most. And though kindhearted, she will physically hurt James if he seems to be out of line (ie. hitting on girls xD), usually by taking advantage of the fact that he lets his guard down ever so slightly around her.

Racial Powers:

• Sueki do not retain any Soul State, Chi from humans or Demon powers or abilities.
  
  
• Kumopu: The ability to burst into an artificial veil of shadows and dash to a target location at extreme speeds and reform back to your usual form. This ability is the Sueki version of Shunpo and Sonido, granting them similar speeds but with a shadowy visual effect. During the moment they are shadows, they become physically invincible and cannot be interacted with but they cannot physically attack until they have left the shadowy state. The state will only last between the jumping point and landing point.
  
  
• Kumitsu: The ability to cover oneself in an artificial veil of shadow that blocks of energy from the outside and from within. This allows any Sueki that has covered themselves in shadows to become undetectable by people outside of the veil. Also, if used at night or in very dark places, the Sueki becomes invisible to the naked eye. More powerful Sueki would be capable of conjuring vast amounts of shadow to cover a large area, be it a car, a small park or even an entire house. At night, this is amplified greatly, allowing an entire fortress to be covered in darkness and block out external influence.
  
  
• Kumotabi: Sueki latch onto the darkness of shadows and of the night all around them, churning darkness around their feet. After a few seconds of this, the churning becomes an enveloping whirlpool of shadows that can expand and contract to hold multiple people depending on the Night Energy levels of the Sueki using the ability. Once everyone has been highlighted by this ability, the user stops channelling it. The darkness sucks the Sueki into it and disperses. This ability can suck in other races so long as the user allows it. Anybody that stands on the swirling darkness that isn't granted permission to travel by the user will not move at all.
  
  During travelling, the Sueki fall through what seems to be an endless chasm of darkness lit by candles on strands of dark material that sway to and fro. The distance required to make it to the other world is about a mile of falling. At the bottom is another swirling vortex that spits Sueki out at the other end. High level Sueki may target structures, dragging entire buildings to another location. This is the ability that moved the Sueki race from Earth all those years ago. It is possible for a Sueki to force another person to move through the portal, but this requires triple the effort and can be fought against.
  
  
• Blood Sucking Nymphs:: All Sueki characters live off of two things: sex and blood. If either of these are ignored, then the Sueki will start to age rapidly and turn to ash during the night of the 7th day without drinking blood or having sex. The withdrawal symptoms slowly start to becomes noticeable on the 3rd day and get worse leading up to the seventh when the Sueki will look about 100 years old. After drinking blood, the Sueki will feel full and no longer hungry. After having sex, the sueki will feel energised. After both has occurred within 7 days of each other, the body will deteriorate in age becoming more young. The actual age it stops at changes depending on the person and can be altered as Sueki may have preferences on how they look. There are some that even choose to look elderly.
  
  
• Child of the Night: When outside in the light of the moon or covered in natural darkness and shadow, the Sueki's body begins to react faster, move quicker, think rapidly and generally become much more aware and agile than if the sun was out. This also means, training and fighting in the moonlight or dark places enhances their potential, increasing their general power and giving them a small advantage. It's also no surprise that some sexual activities are held on balconies or in the nearby forest due to the moonlight and darkness that envelops them. It is said to enhance the experience. Consider darkness a type of reishi to the Sueki and being around it can push them beyond their limits. Outside of darkness, a Sueki cannot achieve their full potential.
  
  
• Lady of Darkness: Sueki are able to see perfectly in darkness. Everything becomes brighter as if somebody had flicked the brightness switch on a video game to the max. This does not remove a Sueki's abilities to see darkness as it appears in a darker hue than the rest of the world.
  
  Beyond this, Sueki are able to use darkness to track their prey. Stepping on a shadow is like treading on a landmine to a keen Sueki on the hunt. Moving through darkness, A sueki can track the targets every movement, but too much focus can be a bad thing as a Sueki may tax their bodies more than intended. Focus when you need to.
  
  These abilities cannot backfire, as a bright light in darkness merely appears white in their vision. Solar energy appears yellow.
  
  
• Solar Frailty: Sueki have a very big weakness: The sun. They cannot come into contact with solar energy or sunlight otherwise the ageing process within their bodies starts to rapidly react and they will die within ten minutes. This makes it difficult for Sueki to fight or do anything while the sun is out and have a disadvantage against solar based characters. Fire, electricity and other non-sunlight abilities do not cause this effect. Thus, candles, light-bulbs etc do not age them. How your Sueki falls apart into dust is up to you, but ten minutes will ultimately kill them. This can occur faster in varying intensities of sunlight, and on which parts of the body are afflicted. Only the body parts being soaked in sunlight are affected and the rest of the body is fine.
  
  
• Human State: This is not a form in the slightest. Sueki are capable of entering a sort of meditation that shrinks their fangs so they appear to look like normal teeth. They also deny Night Energy access to their powers in this state of meditation. They can move and react as normal as though they were 5-5 tier humans. However, holding this state for too long eventually tires the user. They are still weakened by sunlight as normal. Carine may hold this state nearly indefinitely, only stopping to feed, although if she's around James she can be seen with her fangs visible.

Enhanced Hearing: Your ears detect even the slightest of sounds, separating each sound to allow you to determine the location of its source.
Enhanced Smell: Your able to detect specific smells and locate their source, even track targets through scent and detect changes in hormones. Carine can smell a target up to 500 meters away.
Enhanced Taste: Carine can determine the exact ingredients of something she tastes and may learn about someone through the food they like to eat.
Enhanced Touch: Being able to feel every bump and wave, she can read through touching patterns and even detect vibrations and their source.
Enhanced Vision: Carine can see clearly, even in dense locations, at a distance up to a mile provided there are no obstacles. Colors are more vivid and her night vision is enhanced even further. She can even see in absolute darkness, like that of James' spells.
Sexual Burst: Her lust can create a blast of sexual adrenaline, empowering your physical speed and strength whilst allowing you to derive pleasure from things you would not normally be attracted to be it a person, an object or battle itself. These bursts can only occur when she is around James.
Demonic: Your blood is acidic to non-sueki and non-demons. You can detect if a person is a demon or not by simply looking at their aura. Demonic abilities deal slightly less damage to you.
Detrimental Sense: Becoming sensitive to your own senses may cause things normal people might be able to tolerate to cause pain in the Sueki. Loud noises, intense tastes/scents etc. Carine only eats bland foods like Rice and plain Tofu because everything else has such a powerful taste she vomits. James' blood has the richest flavor she has ever tasted, so she only eats those things if she has to.
Urges: Carine's sexual urges outweigh her need for blood drastically. Carine has sex with James nearly daily in order to offset her need for blood.

Visual alterations: She has a pair of stereotypical bat-style demon wings on her back. They disappear in her human state.

Unique Powers:
Sage of the Withered Elm: Carine is a master of her own fighting style, Withered Elm, which consists of two separate constituent styles.
>>Instinct Style: Which consists of sharp quick strikes, jabs, and otherwise high speed moves and acrobatics. This style specializes in high offense, and overwhelming speed.
Thousand Leaves Fall: A high speed move that consists of attacking the vital points of the enemy using quick forward pointing thrusts. It may even in some cases cause minor paralysis or major internal organ ruptures.
Honeydew: Carine may stick to surfaces, and use them for launching combo moves.
Supple Branches: Carine can bend and contort her body in ways that may not seem humanly possible. These contortions sometimes give more power to her blows, or allow her to move more efficiently in combat.

>>Prudence Style: Which consists of devastating pushing blows, palm uppercuts, and overbearing defense. She can stop a blade as efficiently as any swordsman's parry, and can even launch her own overbearing counter-attacks on par with that of a shinigami.
Bark: Carine's skin becomes thicker, hardening to that of a hierro. It limits her maneuverability in return for higher defense.
Firm Roots: This is a form of barrier Carine has adapted out of the Sueki Kumitsu. Though it has no noticable effects on her visibility, she uses the darkness in much of a similar way to improve her balance and greatly decrease her knock-back potential. It also increases her defense to wind and energy based attacks.
Winter Wind on the Elm's Branches: Slow (by comparison) but powerful pushing blows. They can't knock a building down, but they sure as hell can break the supporting pillars- with ease.

Shadow Personality:
Ignorant: Shadow Carine believes firmly that love can only be expressed through sex, and that sex is the pinnacle of love.
Loving: She wants to love, similar to Carine, except the only way she will love another is through sex alone.
Sex-Addict: Shadow Carine admits openly to liking every single sexual experience she has ever had, including rapist-fuckboi. She actively craves it, and this echoes over to Carine herself.

History: Formerly a Blood Stalker of the Sanguine Court, Carine resigned from their protection formally after happening upon a man whose blood she simply could not resist. The Sanguine Court could not promise her safety in the human world, but she wasn't worried, as the man himself was full of simply delectable darkness for her to devour, oh~ what a wonderful choice~ It was so simple for her, so natural~ She got blood and sweet, sweet sex from him, so she was pleased with the decision. Now she follows him everywhere with her umbrella, just so she can be near him. Naturally, she wants to protect his life, as he has protected hers.

Before that, Carine was in close with those of Royal Blood in the Sanguine Court. She would frequently go out into the world, searching for blood. She did her job dutifully, until she met James of course.

Even further before that, Carine was a human. She had fallen into an abusive relationship with a man who repeatedly had sex with her without consent. She never told him she didn't want it. Honestly, she felt that after the first time, she would never be innocent again, so she gave in, and let him have his fun every time after that. She wanted desperately to love, but all she'd ever known was sex. Eventually, she got tired of it all. Lured that rat bastard to his death, but it went sour, and she hardly escaped. A passing Sueki, Arbre Puissant, saved her life and gave her a place to call home. She one day decided to live her life in the human world, but under the old Sanguine court, that was a crime. Arbre was executed. In her last moments, she smiled at Carine. Her smile is what inspired Carine to learn to fight, and every day she practiced fighting in the yards at Orbis Cruento, until finally she had something resembling a fighting style. She called it "Withered Elm" for her fallen friend. Through practice and strong meditation, she met her Shadow Voice. An ignorant woman who thought sex was the only way love could be expressed. They could not reach an agreement then, but she has tried on multiple occasions.
