Awakening of the buried[open]
Thu Dec 25, 2014 1:27 pm
It was a bright day in Karakura, the sun high in the noon sky as people went about their business. The streets were filled with people as most workers had lunch break at this time. However, things were about to change for the residents of Karakura. Below their feet the earth rumbled and shook, as if an earthquake was upon the city. Most individuals would likely fall to their knees as the shaking of the earth increased, and then before their eyes it would happen. The earth itself tore apart in the middle of the shopping district, lava and soil shooting upwards as a blur shot forth from the ground. Shooting in to the sky, the figure slowed down to reveal a feminine being, her long white hair flowing at behind her. Amethyst eyes stared out at the city as her kimono fluttered around her body, dirt drifting down from her body. After a few seconds she drifted downwards, sandal covered feet hitting the fractured pavement soundlessly. Her eyes slowly roamed over the buildings and the people, one hand tightly clenched around the metal disk in her hand, a chakram that was the only weaponry upon her being.
Slowly she stepped away from the fissure she had created, eyes watching the individuals around her. After a few minutes she spoke, her voice cracking from disuse, the words soft and quiet as they were said.
“Where… am I?”

A low growl escaped the mouth of the girl as the crowd seemed to just gawk and her, not answering the question she had asked. She glared at them, her energy surging wildly as, suddenly, those around her would find themselves slammed in to the ground. Several in the crowd became nothing more than a splat on the ground as their bodies crumpled and flattened from the intense gravitational forces that now surrounded Hyomi. By contrast, Hyomi herself seemed lighter, freer, more capable. Moving with supersonic speeds, she appeared in front of one of the few men still alive, her eyes hard and cold. Around her, gravity was one hundred times more powerful than normal, and most likely the buildings, structures, and pavement would already be showing signs of stress from the exertion of gravitational forces. Not bother to look at the crushed bodies of those who had died, she looked at one of the remaining, living humans. Her voice came forth once more as she spoke.
“I asked, where am I?”
Her patience was wearing thin as she picked up the man, holding him by the neck while glaring him in the eye. She wanted an answer, and she wanted it now.

"Karakura town, shopping district." Said a surprisingly calm, womanly voice. "I'd say it's mid day too-" the red headed woman put a hand to block out enough light for her to look up at the sun, "-about 74 degrees fahrenheit-" she licked her pinkie finger and held it up to determine the breeze, "-and a gentle breeze headed south to southwest, just about."
Should the woman turn around to look at the one who spoke so clearly and informatively, she would see a young-looking redheaded maid who appeared to only be in her mid twenties. Hands clasped in front of her, the woman held just a few small bags of what one could only assume where groceries purchased from a nearby store. Her smile was a serene, serious one, contradicting any "mocking" her earlier statements may have implied. But what set this woman off from the others was that she seemingly wasn't affected by the pressure exerted by the woman's reiatsu. In fact, this red headed maid was exerting her own reiatsu, which, surprisingly enough, exerted some sort of feeling of nostalgia? Something that would make the woman think of old, or possibly bring back some memories.
"Is there anything you need help with, ma'am?" the woman asked, clearly trying to look as inconspicuous as possible. The people around her couldn't tell if she was really dumb or if there was something off with this red head. She saw this woman burst out of a fissure in the ground just like everyone else, yet she seemed intent on helping her still. Or, at least, she was intent on being nice to her. Either way it was strange and abnormal and she really probably shouldn't be doing this. She just didn't care.

As the woman heard the voice of another, the artificial gravity increase lifted, the forces of gravity snapping back on to just herself. Her shoulders tensed slightly as the force hit her, and she quickly dropped the body she had been holding. Turning to face the speaker, it was clear her speed was now much slower than it had been before, now about the same speed as an average human. Eyes taking in the red headed female, a frown crossed her face.
“Yea, you could start with what your name is, then tell me exactly where this karakura city is. Also, the date would probably be something good to know.”
Sighing, she looked around her and seemed to noticed the bodies that had been squashed to a pulp from the sheer force of her artificial gravity technique. Groaning slightly, she glared down at their corpses with an air of disbelief.
“Seriously? You people are this weak? You fucking weaklings, that was next to nothing! What is wrong with you people??”
Turning back to the red head, she slowly walked towards her, a scowl on her face. Her eyes twitched from her frustration, her feet finally stopping when she was only a mere five feet from the other individual. Her hands were at her sides, but clenched in to tight fists as a slight grin twisted her face towards a darker look.
“I’d better be able to find someone to spar with in this dumb ass city, or it may end up becoming a ghost town. I’ve got too much pent up energy to keep things calm till I get out of here.”

"Ah, my dearest apologies, ma'am." The woman said, bowing in apology to the woman. "My name is Ophelia Lestat, head maid of the Mikadzuki household. Karakura city is located in Japan of the Human Realm, also, and if you need someone to show you around, then I could do that for you." As the woman offered this, she stood up from her bow to look at the woman who was apparently disappointed in the not-so-capable population of Karakura. They were just normal humans after all, no real power or ability, yet still this woman went on about how weak they were. Of course they were weak, they were humans.
Not more than a moment later, Ophelia was faced and approached by this mystery woman who seemed to have a lot of pent up energy. Ophelia could relate, she was like that not too long ago. But thanks to a certain incident, that was kind of turned around on her. Now she doesn't have enough energy, especially with her maid duties. There wasn't nearly enough time for her to go out and test out her powers either, mostly because of said energy issues. However, as she listened to this woman, it seems she would be offered a chance to test out her powers via a spar. That is, if the woman accepted her invitation to do so.
"If you want, I could be your sparring partner. I haven't had time to test out some things that I've theorized about and you need to get rid of your pent up energies..." Ophelia reached into a bag and pulled out a table cloth she had bought, intending it to be used as one. Today however, it would find a very different use. Opening up the package that held the table cloth, Ophelia draped it over her shoulders and smiled at the woman. "So how about it, miss... uhm..."

“You didn’t tell me the date. Full Gravity Release.”
The words were harsh as suddenly the woman surged forward. While her previous movements had been on par with the average human, now things were completely different. Her speed had multiplied itself by ten thousand times, and within a split second she had closed the five foot distance between her and the woman who was now wearing a tablecloth as some sort of cape like thing. She didn’t care about this behavior though, as she pushed her fist out with the skill of a trained warrior, attempting to land the punch in her opponent’s stomach. Like with her speed, the punch carried ten thousand times the force of the average human, the eyes of Hyomi narrowed as she pushed herself away from the maid. The ground cracked as her feet pushed against it, her body flinging itself fifteen feet away where it landed lightly before she resumed her combat stance.
“The names Hyomi, Hyomi Somu.”
With those words she resumed her assault, rushing forward with the same insane speed before bringing her foot up in a round house kick to the female’s left side. Her eyes did not track the girl’s movement, for they had closed the minute the fight started. Instead, Hyomi was relying on Emihi’s ability of Spiritual sensing, using the demonic power granted to her by the demon sealed within her to sense her surroundings more clearly then with her eyesight. The only downside to this is that the demonic energy pouring from Hyomi would become quite evident as the two would be unable to hide it now. Surging towards Ophelia’s location, Hyomi would again attempt to land a straight punch to the stomach before backing off a good twenty feet, no longer in her combat stance. Her eyes opened, now it was time to see if the strange maid could survive the little assault.

Ophelia didn't have the time nor the skill to dodge the woman's first attack, but even as it hit, there was hardly a sign of care on her face. The fist connected with her stomach and the wind she stored there to try and cushion the blow was pushed out as well. Most of her reiatsu was also concentrated there, and she soon found herself skidding backwards along the concrete on her heels just from the leftover force. Slowly coming to a stop before she hit the wall behind her, Ophelia looked up at the woman and smiled as if nothing happened.
"I missed the date, part. My apologies~" the woman chimed before watching this Hyomi woman try and attack her again.
There wasn't any hesitation as Ophelia snapped her fingers and her left arm turned black. The first attack she was able to predict and block, but the force still made Ophelia cringe and gasp in pain. The punch however, connected once more and sent Ophelia flying, which is exactly what she wanted. Holding the table cloth in front of her, Ophelia waited for the moment of impact with the ground and made sure to enclose herself completely between the cloth and the ground. And that's where everything got a little stranger.
The table cloth flew up into the air after Ophelia disappeared, quite literally, into another dimension underneath it. At the same time, Hyomi would feel the leg she had kicked Ophelia with to feel quite difficult to move. Looking down at where Ophelia's blackened arm touched her leg, Hyomi would see a fairly sized black spot which is where her muscles and skin were temporarily dead. Shortly afterwards, she would feel her back gain an extreme weight as Ophelia, from the torso up, appeared out of her back and pressed a knife to the back of her head.
"The name's Ophelia. Ophelia Lestat." she said, mocking how Hyomi introduced herself mere moments ago. After this introduction, Ophelia would attempt to stab Hyomi right where her shoulder and neck met in an attempt to either kill or severely harm her. Ophelia was still only halfway out of Hyomi's back as well, so any attempts to dodge this by jumping out of the way would only bring Ophelia along with her. It was block or get stabbed, really.
