Zedas intuitive mind took note of the sudden absorbtion of Yomas attack. His eyes focused on the newly established opponent. This captain was out of order, it sickened Zeda to see the Captain of the internal affairs, an individual that has to carry oneself with honor act so barbaric in his approach to tame his squad members. His eyes followed Tessa as she aimed to imitate the movements of the somewhat overrated Poliro Tensol. It was true, the man could bring heat to the table, but he was nothing compared to Zedas old man. His eyes darted around while his reishi spread across the ground engulfing the surrounding area in a crimson hue, while covering the squad members that looked up at the conflict from a descended location.
His right hand reached out and touched Yomas shoulder, he gripped onto the guys Shihakusho while Tessa performed her onslaught. To an extent, Zeda was stopping him from aiding her but not for the reason that would first come to mind. Tessas efforts didn’t all go to waste, she was more proficient with her attacks and had developed more interesting methods of attacking opponents; to an extent she developed her draconic ferocity, something stemming from her blood heritage. Zeda was proud of her accomplishments, she came across as a stronger overall presence so it baffled him why she didn’t secure the role of Squad Seven captain when Zeda departed. If Yoma attempted to resist Zeda holding him back, he would feel chains binding his arms as hes hands would lock behind his back; Zeda didn’t need to utilize an incantation nor say the name of the Kido as Sai restrained would spread to restrain the young man. Either way, the same Crimson Aura would engulf the young Yazaki.
Now came the moment, Tessas fifteen consecutive attacks were stopped, a miracle considering they were on par with one another from Zedas analysis. This man come across as a poor senile old soul who sought success by claiming authority of the Seventh Division; regardless of the alias this man had created for himself if he couldn’t conduct himself in a professional manner it was time to relieve him of his duties. As Tessa was brought to a stop, Zeda took a single step toward her only to perform the masterful flash step technique and appear by her side.
“Enough~ Tessa” he appeared by her side only to whisper two words into her small draconic ears. Tessa had a long way to go before perfecting her mimicking ability but Zeda respected her valiant attempt and was proud of the fact that he recruited this rather marvellous individual to his squad. With his left arm, he’d move onto helping her up while the very same crimson aura covered her body. The only way that this aura would differ in this specific individual would be that flames would stem into her being in order to reenergize her draconic abilities. His eyes then turned to the approaching Captain, what this man couldn’t get it through his head was that it wasn’t his love for the duo that prompted his interference but more of his love for the Squad. It was more than true that he valued both Yoma and Tessa a lot, to an extent where he saw the duo as family due to the time they spent together in the barracks. He noted the expressions of disgust on the other member’s faces, this man didn’t govern politically, he sought respect through strength but if he knew anything about the internal affairs of the Gotei 13 then he would know that individuals such as him belong in the forsaken hole dubbed the Maggots Nest.
Zedas eyes turned to the squad members as they gathered in the court yard, the numbers ever increasing, others, mainly from Squad four promptly approached as news of the little fiasco spread to them.
“Enough old man…. Your making a fool out of yourself. For your hostile actions toward my comrades and lack of professionalism, I, Zeda Yuudeshi, challenge you. In the presence of the four hundred and thirty seven squad members before me, for the Captaincy to Squad 7… Do you accept? Or decline and renounce captaincy?” rather than simply declining the challenge the egotistic maniac accepted and in that instant the purpose of the Crimson Aura that engulfed everything in a three hundred meter radius became apparent. The only individual that was spared from the Crimson Cloak was the century old captain.
Suddenly in a split second flames erupted from Zedas body, his attire burning away as a large ball of fire formed above his head. To all covered by the crimson aura, the flames would seem like simple fire, however to the one man on the newly forged battlefield who lacked said protection a projection of the development of the universe would flash before his eyes in a split second. Before him, he’d witness the foundation of earth and all the processes of evolution, everything from the geological perspective embedded into the sun itself. The flames of the ever so old sun had told a man an unforgettable story. You see, what Zeda took note of earlier was the fact that the man absorbed Yomas attack with ease; his keen intellect also allowed him to record the man weakening Tessa through the siphoning of her energy which meant that he could absorb all forms of energy.
However, the temporary trance generated by the overload of information into the brains prefrontal cortex restricts the body from basic computation. His flames would dance as absolute heat would begin branching off the large ball in chains and spikes, each of which individual pierced the man in non-fatal areas, the absolute flames would burn everything in their path, oxygen and all alike. It posed a danger exposing this technique to the atmosphere so long as the absolute temperatures of Zedas new level of fire had the ability to destroy anything and everything as the heat provided so much energy that Reishi and particles themselves split within one another being completely abolished. The flames would reap through the mans body, removing the arms and then the legs while removing the metaphorical will of fire; it was the end.
Within the blink of an eye the flames would recede into Zedas body while the attire he arrived in would promptly vanished exposing his Shinigami attire. His Shikakusho was accompanied with a Captains Haori dubbed by the Gotei 13 representation of Squad 7. His set his sight on the near dead body of this feeble old man while Squad four rushed to his rescue; he didn’t stop the men and women from healing him but it was blatant that as his eyes went cloudy he was in no condition to fight. Following the sudden onslaught he’d turn to Tessa gently smiling towards her prior to turning his head to Yoma and smirking as the Sai withdrew, by the code of the Gotei 13, Zeda was now the Captain of Squad 7, his rightful role in the Seireitei. He then set his attention on the Squad members and spoke.
“Squad 7 – I present with great honour your new and long over-due Vice Captain… Tessa Morrowend, should she accept of course,” he chuckled as he paused while setting his sight on Tessa, his left arm gestured and pointed gracefully at her as he made the announcement to the Squad, would she accept or not was a whole matter in itself. Should she accept, he would move onto say, “I'm promoting you to the Vice Captain of the Seventh Division of the Thirteen Court Guard Squads, with immidiate effect.” Something told him that Yoma would no doubt attack him within the coming moments, he never figured out what it was that led to his rapid change in personality, maybe he had a split personality disorder? Nevertheless if the young rascal attacked Zeda he’d simply step into the attack leaving no room for the Yazaki to propel himself prior to wrapping his right hand around his back and placing it on his far triceps making it out to be a hug, not hostile action of any sort.
