Information: This is a city that came into existence in the late 2300's. It was an attempt to see if humans could adapt themselves to live in completely polar climates; even creating a city during the test. The test included a massive energy barrier, similar to the one around Karakura Central, that instead made the temperature bearable for the citizens within.
They both hunted and regularly received supplies from the outside world; and due to the lack of ANYTHING around them, they rarely had any problems whatsoever on a large scale. It was your typical city; there was internet, the government was made up of corrupt and incompetent staff, and the lowly were always able to find some way to survive.
A madness plague has infected this entire city. It was strange; isolated at first just in the city's heart, in the hall of government. However, it was nothing strange when at first no one heard from the grand building for three days; it was assumed they were just having their normal summer ending bash, of which they took one day to get completely drunk and ready, another to enjoy the party, and the last day to truly recover from all their wild antics.
However, after the fourth day passed, and no one came out, the citizens began to get worried. They entered the doors and found nothing... but for one man, looking up at the small group that went in with a shattered glass of wine (Or was it blood?) in his hand and the biggest smile they had ever seen on his face, as he calmly stood up... and stabbed one of them with a glass shard, blood splattering everywhere among the group.
As they wondered back out of the doors into the city, spreading the infernal terror and madness, inside the building a strange triangle of flesh hummed, as the blood around it turned black and began to inch towards the triangle, sucked inside of it as it began to grow, ever so slightly...
Meanwhile, the madness had spread throughout the city. People afraid of what was going to happen to them felt its effects just being in the air; going mad all of their own accord. Madness of all kinds sprang up; the violent mad killed the meek mad and the happy mad and all the other kinds without them putting up a fight; after all, the one thing the madness had in common... was that it took away one's fear.
However, one man, the only spiritually powered of any of the small town of Madenise, Antartica, raced out a mile from where the city was. He could feel himself on the edge of the madness as he constructed a signpost from wood that he brought with himself, even as he could see the snow behind him rapidly melting, as something moved ever closer to him. He wrote on the sign, and as the snow vanished around him, he took the knife he used to carve into the wood and brought it to his throat, closing his eyes as a wide smile came to his face and he plunged his arms, ending his own life rather than giving up into the madness, the ultimate act of bravery.
Some two months later, a wide signal went out that hit every major organization. No one quite knows who left the signal; the voice was constantly breaky and unidentifiable; in fact, if someone were able to track by voice, they would find that the being did not even exist. However, every known organization received word of it... A recording of the sign with the voice in the background.
The sign was simple; the man had not had much time. The view was of a bare landscape, with a simple wood signpost sticking out of the ground with writing on it. The sign said
Do not enter! Madness takes us all! DO NOT ENTER!
And the voice in the background was simple.
"This city, Madenise, Antartica, has been destroyed... and yet not. How is this possible...? To find out, you will have to investigate. There will be great power here soon... For all whom enter... and who knows...? You may even leave perhaps a pinch madder than you came!"
Following that message, a large battle for the city ensued. There were numerous factions who partook in the battle, but most were outshined and forced outright from the city upon the conflict that arised in the Central Government building. This is where The Queen of Demons sought to take back a piece of herself, consume the core of Madness within the building and achieve the awakening that would help bolster her destructive power that she attained later on.
Thus, It is there where the parties of Colin Washi, Daigoro Ito, Elizabeth, two persona shells from Elizabeth Kanda Yuu and Toki Iramasha did battle against The Queen of Demons. Eventually, after an intense battle that could be felt throughout the continent, Mana Asthavon forced the awakening of Truth following the death of Kanda and Elizabeth.
The resulting clash against these otherworldly energies, and the arrival of a near god, caused a dramatic shift in the Earth. One hundred miles of Madnise City had simply been wiped clean off the map and left a reddening scar on the planet (which was later cleaned up two years later by Hulderic and The Vandenreich). Additionally, these imagery were seen across the globe:
[IN PROGRESSIVE ORDER]
By this time, the battle had escalated to the point where almost the planet itself was put in danger. However, with the awakening of The Demon Gods Heart, something strange occurred. As The Demon Queen threatened as massive breakdown due to how intense this battle was for, Truth had entered into the space above Earth and no one is quite sure what transpired after that point.
It was as if the entire space in this vicinity, throughout the antarctic and in Madness City became almost incomprehensible to the mortal state of being. There was a golden blast of light that showered the earth -- then nothing.
Like a candle fading, the event seemed to fizzle out and The Demon Queen was no where to be seen. All of the other combatants had vanished as well and there was nothing left of Madness of City. The Madness evaporated, the battle concluded and there was nothing left to battle for. All that remained was the Central Government building. No one is quite sure what conclusive ending occurred between these parties, but it can be considered one of the most critical of battles on Earth.
Now all that is left is The Garden of Gods; a holy sanctuary where The Heart of The Demon God seems to have taken the corpse of Elizabeth and held herself up in this peculiar region
Near the edge of Madnise City is where a bizarre location sprang up during the beginning of 2414. Becoming visible to the masses, a frozen garden that expanded for roughly a mile in every direction was brought into materialization. In the center of this Garden lays a concrete structure that overlooks the mountains further off in the distance of Madness City and has many sorts of white flowers around it. There also appears to be a silver dome produced around the area that is two times more durable than the Seireitei's own Sekkisekki stone to prevent unwelcome or unwanted guest from entering without the guardians of this gardens permission.
