A yawn. A Glance. And a Chuckle. Those were the first three things Mana could pull herself to do when Inami started addressing her. This gathering was growing duller by the second for the unentertained Queen of Demons. Her attention, at this point, was like a fading star in the night sky. So drab, so dirty and so -- not worth her time. If it weren't for the fact they were royalty she'd be incline to take the shape of a bat and flap out of here. But alas -- she DID need to show SOME form of Queenship afterall. And that meant mulling through these boring affairs.
"Eh?"That was the simple retort The Wicked Asthavon made when her sister started hugging her. So lost in her own thoughts and interests, The Demoness had all but forgotten that she was even there for a few moments. Thus, a slow blink was given to her as Mana patted Inami's head with her left as a dog would receive pat from its master. In this moment, Mana saw her as a starved puppy seeking affection. So the comparison, in her mind, was befitting. Hence, why a low laugh with a grim undertone to it muttered out from The Demon Queen's mouth.
"'Sugah, I don't think ya' understand the difference between gloom....and outright boredom. This place reeks of filth, The King has about as good of time management skills as an infant and I don't much care for being taken away from my pleasures." Rich in that texan twang of hers that she was so fond of, the southern accent of the Queen was thick, but it seemed so -- drained and weary.
Placing her right hand underneath her chin, The Royal Asthavon's eyes became rather jaded and another dead yawn escaped the woman's lips. In doing so, others in the area who called themselves "loyalist" started scowling; but held their tongue out of respect -- and fear of upsetting The Queen. Taking an annoyed glance at the folks around her, Mana could only give a miffed roll of the eyes. A look that inferred "she couldn't care less" about their plight against her rule.
"So sorry that I'm not the brightest light in the room, sweetie. I ain't tryin' to play much of anythin' with ya', but this here place? Yah' darlin', this place is about as fun as shootin' up a needle filled with holy water in the far side of my rear." Even with most fibers of her body being so disinterested in this affair, Mana could still find delight in her own sense of humor as she let out an amused chuckle. S'pose if no one else laughed at her humor, she'd find it befitting to laugh in place.
"Baby. Me and Ashlei may be having a baby soon."Out of nowhere, that was the heavy bombshell that was so informally dropped from Mana's lips in response to Inami's question. Letting out another dim sounding yawn, The Queen rubbed her chin once more and turned her sluggish-looking eyes towards Inami's direction. A questionable eyebrow rose in response to her "not getting out" enough.
If she was Queen -- should she not dedicate a specific time for her own pleasures? That was an absurd notion that she lacked time to do what her heart fancy'd -- to say the least. To be a slave to her people was what it had been beginning to sound like to the sleepy-eyed demon. 'Twas one thing to never serve ones people, 'twas another to never have a single ounce of time to serve yourself.
"Aya-aya, why dontcha' ya' just set boundaries in 'yer home, hun? Ya' can't run around here exhaustin' ya' self like a bargain based floozy that lets every John and Mary creep up her skirt. Carve out time for you AND ya' kingdom; or you'll end up as dead as Dayalu's sense of humor."Flicking away dust from her eyes, Mana let out another dry yawn when she was finished speaking and took a curious gaze at Inami when "Khala" was brought up. That case -- was something that needed to be spoken of telepathically -- rather than vocally. So, with those thoughts in mind, Mana twapped The Chaya Queen's head for mentioning such things outloud.
"Keep that stuff in 'ye head, ya tart."Grumbling with a loathsome tone, Mana started driving the connections of their families bond to begin conveying all sorts of thoughts and emotions into the consciousness of Inami. Without the need of words, the sensation that Khala was "OKAY" could be patched into her mind. Visuals of the Castle of Causality, deep within the 666th Layer of Hell, were than shown to her. It was a colossal fortress that damn near appeared to be its own planetoid mass. It hovered high in the air and into the heavens that had nothing but white skies all around it. Zooming in on this mammoth of a structure, the tallest most peak of it became viewable to each of The Queen's.
It was there, in this tower, where Khala was resting. In her a hibernative state, a bruised, but still alive Khala was seen laying in shackles and chains as she well put into slumber. There were many strong surges of love for the current Captain Commander, Iriko Crow, flowing within her head. While the ominous shadow of power that was The Demon God had loomed in the back of her head as she held back his devilish ambitions. It felt like there was a hurricane of emotions, thoughts and desire within the girl; but the Heart of The Demon God seemed -- happy -- and as if she could control it.
Click.Like the dropping of a phone call, the transmission of thoughts was over.
The Queen had enough of -- that connection,.Mana saw fit to cut out of that bond towards her fellow sister. Taking a harsh sigh, Mana gave her a stern look. An expression that said: "ARE YOU SATISFIED NOW?" Undoubtedly -- this was a subject that Mana did not want to discuss any further. After divulging that much information about their sisters current condition, it was up to those parties to sort out manners. There was going to be a long road of recovery to clean up the mess that Goddess invoked i n the world, but now was neither the TIME nor PLACE for such a thing.
But alas -- at least the events around them were picking up. Sensing a sharp pulsation in the air, Mana was able to perceive the presence of Dayalu descending upon the area.
"And there is the Royal Bastard~!"As The Asthavon began twirling her left wrist in a whimsical fashion, the voice of The Queenly Ruler became more jovial and amused. There was a sense of relief that washed over her. A wave of relief that was similar to waiting for an appointment at The Doctors office, and, finally, after what seemed like eons of waiting, hearing your name called. That same sense of sharp excitement rose within The Demon Queen when The King's aura was detected. Mana was thrilled the shadows of boredom could finally be shattered now Dayalu had brought his slow-behind to the gathering.
...Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. More, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And more, blah, blah, blah. That was the mental sounds of what Mana perceived his formalities as. Obligatory greetings were such a bore to her. Rolling her wrist, she motioned for him to get on with it already. Her patience was running low for this drab and dull occasion.Although, she would play nice and wave to the crowd when he directed his glance towards her. The Reagle Demoness felt that she should AT LEAST do that much.
"And let my boredom end already for the love of sweet Demon God's sake." Muttered Mana around the same time Dayalu cried for the celebrations to start.
Watching The Sira King come closer to them, The Queen motioned for Inami to get off her darn lap already and make herself look decent. Moving that left hand of hers off her chin, Mana became more attentive and gave him a small smirk as her emerald green eyes pierced into his.
"Oh my, oh me. I'd be nothing but a prude if I declined such a fancy lil' invention when all 'da lovely lil' sugah's and hunnies of Demon World's PRIME royalty were gatherin'. I just WOULDN'T be able to sleep with 'mah self if I were to miss such a thing!" One would almost assume that she was being sarcastic with the playful tone of her vice, but her coyful smirk could indicate otherwise.
"Blah, don't worry ye' lil' head about that past incident. I've got bigger fish to fry these days and so long as you don't pull a stunt like that again. So I'll promise I won't send any slimey tendrils down your backside..." Pausing for a moment, Mana placed her right index finger on her lip and giggled.
"...well, more like 99.9% promise!""As for all 'dat sweet talk of peace? Simple: do not tread on me, and I won't tread on me." Smiling and flicking Dayalu's nose, Mana let out a small chuckle and said her final piece on that subject:
"Like the song goes: you can take what you want, but you better NOT take it from me!"Having spoken those whimsical, yet foreboding words; Mana clasped her hands together and tilted her head down to give him a more cheerful smirk.
"Welcome to the jungle, 'sugah. Now tell me, what is ya' plan from this place onward? Surely ya' didn't call me out here just to waste my time with these simplistic celebrations."Snapping her fingers, as if she remembered something she long forgot, Mana's eyes seemed to light up. In but a mere few moments, a book that seemed as black as the night itself poofed into her lap. Taking a close look into Inami's face, then into DAyalu's face; Mana snickered and opened up the book to unveil pages that were as red as the blood of man.
"Speaking of treadin' on thangs, I'd have to ask ya, on behalf of our Saanatic God, to place ya hands on each of the pages. Dayalu, take the right. Inami, take the left. 'Tis a simple pledge not to tamper with the will of ol' Deveta. The guy is harmless and wants to be left alone, so just do it for our creators sake. Most KIng and Queen's usually go through this lil' pledge at some point."With that said, she'd pause and await to see what their reactions would be.
"Well, unless ya' scurred."
