Heres a tough one: Abortion
Fri May 16, 2014 8:36 pm
So I found this news article while browsing my facebook and such and I found it kinda interesting to think about.
http://www.inquisitr.com/1253869/baby-born-with-two-faces-in-australia-sparks-abortion-debate/
So what do yall think about this topic. I know this tends to be a much more controversial topic than others but i think its an interesting one to discuss.
In my honest opinion I think that people who are against abortion forget about the fact that these children have to grow up, and that they only focus on the baby as an adorable pure thing that deserves the right to live, but they dont think about what will happen to it afterwards, and we see that a lot in the US when you look at people who want these children to live but want WIC benefits and food stamps to be lowered and taken away.

Pro-choice. This 'Murica... If I wanna be gay, I should be able to be gay. If I don't think I'm prepared for a child and I make one anyway, I should be allowed to not follow through with that child's birth if my current spouse agrees to it. While some might see it as murder, I don't. I see it as preventing myself and my family of losing themselves to debt, stress, and sadness from not being mentally, physically, and financially prepared for a child.
As for the whole two face thing... there is no preventing that, you don't know if the child is going to come out with a defect or anything. That's fate, or whatever you'd like to call it. Although, that doesn't mean that being can't live a full life of happiness. It just requires the correct parenting and the right people.

I wont comment on the whole gay thing but. THEY KNEW IT WAS GONNA HAVE TO FACES WHEN IT COULD HAVE BEEN ABORTED. The science these days can tell you waaaaay in advance if your child is going to have some sort of physical and in some cases mental defect. Its not like in the past that you didnt know wat was gonna come out until it came out, these days you know in advance.

It baffles me, honestly, that people can be against the right to an abortion. Not only because it's going to fuck up the child's future if the parents cannot support them, but because that is inhibiting the rights and basically telling the pregnant woman "YOU CANNOT HAVE AN ABORTION" when those people had never gone through such issues in their life. Like, the baby could very well be the result of a rape case or incest case if they were raped by their parents or relatives during their life. To try and force a rape child, child that is going to be poverty ridden, or incest child onto the world when the woman doesn't want it is fucked up. How dare these people try to dictate what a woman can and can't do with her body.
As for the linked case, that is one case where it honestly would have been best for the mother to abort. She didn't want to, and that was her choice, but she certainly should have the right to do so if she wanted to. But even when the DOCTORS are opting for the foetus to be aborted, I don't know how people can be against it. It's more than just 'lolkillingsomething'. Said abortion could save a woman's life in some cases, and the child born with two faces is going to have a HELL of a tough life...
I'm not saying I like abortion. Like, I don't think anyone likes it. But if you want to have one, you should be able to, and nobody else should be able to dictate what a woman does with her body.
As Viz said, you can tell way in advance, as the doctor said he recommended to have an abortion. But in the end, it is still up to her, which this woman in the article did excersize and chose to keep the child.he science these days can tell you waaaaay in advance if your child is going to have some sort of physical and in some cases mental defect

Technology is only as advanced as the user... which is a human. Human's make mistakes. Reversed.
You see what I did there? Humans make mistakes... Mistakes make humans. Boom.
Nonetheless, whether or not you know or not... It all depends on whether or not her choice was of her own, or influenced by others. Because, idk if you're aware, but you can be pregnant more than once.
