"What do we do her-- Oops, my bad..." Alchemist Tyler "Ty" Bourgoine 人間の錬金術師
---------------------------------------
Tyler watched once again as she seemed to become puzzled upon finding a solution to the problem presented before her. She made small sounds that many would find completely adorable and cute, but to Tyler he was looking past the small adorable struggle of his female companion. He wanted to really get a firm grip of her understanding, and that was what he wanted to know from her subconscious actions. Was she feeling alone where she was? Was she feeling angry or possibly happy? Tyler was a male, so reading into female emotions and context was not as easy as most would believe, so he had to present a problem, and the solution she presents will become the answer to his question.
Without much warning, Tyler watched as she rushed into their home and it left Tyler outside quite puzzled. Did she rush inside to run from the problem before her? Did she want to get away from the frustration? As Tyler stood outside, he turned the question of Faith's condition, to his motives. Why was he asking her all of this honestly? Was he asking this much of her for her sake, or ultimately for his own? Yes, it's true that Tyler is an adult male, and he does have attractions, but he was never one to focus on those things entirely, as he had bigger things to think about. Was instead of testing the mind of Faith an excuse to test the mind of his own perhaps? Tyler went deep into thought, as he began to question what he was doing. Was he really doing this for her best interest, or was he doing it for himself. To tell himself that he believes in things that might not be true? As if he wanted to find answers to something he was afraid to face?
Tyler stood outside, beginning to feel bad of his condition, and what he presented to Faith, thinking that he really made her upset, when in fact to his surprise, Faith re-emerged from the Cabin with something in her hands. Watching her work her magic, took one of the spare scarves that he kept to himself, she wrapped the item which belonged to Tyler, and made it appear as if he was hiding his mouth behind it, just like Faith does. This moment was actually very touching to Tyler, as he realized what it meant, but when Faith spoke, it solidified the meaning behind the two and how they're connected. She gave him something to cherish, just like she cherishes the scarf that he gave to her. The relationship of the two were really defined from this moment right here, as Tyler felt incomplete without Faith in his life, and she felt the same with him, as without each other, they would be lost. Tyler needed Faith, as she was not only his closest Friend, but she was also a mission of his, to restore and make true the wish that was asked of him many years ago. And Faith needed Tyler, as he was her guide, and teacher, showing her what was right and wrong in their lives, as they made a balance for one another to really live in happiness.
The smile on Faith, ended up causing a reaction out of Tyler, as he phased out of reality for a moment, and there was nothing in this world anymore. Everything went white, and the only thing that could be seen was Faith, Tyler, and Sunny the Snowman. The smile on Faith's face, portrayed a scene of innocence and bliss, while Tyler expressed shock and understanding. Turning his head to get a good look at Sunny the Snowman, it was as if the snowman was a mirror image of the girl before him. A scarf to hide ones expression, but the smile underneath seen as clear as day. A chuckle, escaped the lips of the tall red haired male as he was really starting to understand their place. Yes, indeed he wanted to get a better understanding of what Faith thought of him, but that was clear all along. Ultimately, he wanted to know what he thought of her, and it was there standing before him all this time and he was just blind to not realize it. This was his Best Friend, and without her, he'd be lost and confused in many things in life. She was his morale guide, and he was her life guide. Their balance with each other was just like in Alchemy, how the balance of ingredients create something great, thus the combination of the two together, create something beautiful...
Walking forward, the world of white returned to normal, and Tyler grasped Faith, pulling her into a hug. Holding her close, a smile was also on Tyler's face, as if he had to just feel her for a moment, and ensure she wasn't just a dream. Her warmth was there, as well as her body, telling him that indeed, she was a living breathing being before him really expressing her existence, and that she was no a dead pile of bones that represented his loss from childhood.
"Thank you..."
Was the soft whisper that he spoke before releasing the hug and turning to face Sunny the Snowman, the idol that helped Tyler really understand the bond the two shared. He really was a big fat pile of snow that seemed to be an overbearing bundle of happiness behind a scarf. Tyler couldn't help but laugh at the reality of an inanimate object helping one better understand their place in the world, but it's true.
So, what type of activity is next in store for the two to share in the frozen land they stood upon? Simple, actually, as it was now time for the two to explore. They have only seen the Lake to the North, and the small town to the South, but what was to the east or west? Tyler looked forward, not turning towards Faith as he asked her a question which will guide them on their next journey. Fact was, Tyler was getting bored of Canada about now, and they didn't own all that much, so they could pack Faith's clothes as well as his own, and his alchemy supplies into his Dimensional Gallery Bag, destroy the house, and make home elsewhere. Tyler wanted to know what Faith thought on the sudden spontaneous idea...
Faith wasn't entirely sure how Tyler would accept her answer. Maybe he would have thought she was being stupid or something. Then again he never outright told her she was dumb. He was too kind. He just told her to try again and she might understand it better. Usually she did just because she always believed Tyler was right. Sometimes she tried to do things differently and attack her problems from a different angle. Whatever she did, it usually made Tyler happy but this was different. It felt like something was on the line here. Like she couldn't really afford to slip up. Was her decision correct?
Tyler embraced Faith, surprisingly as he didn't usually get this close. He always seemed to keep his distance. Tylers hold was nice and warm. Warmer than the snow around them definitely. He seemed rather emotional over Faiths decision and it made her worry. However she didn't say a word, she lifted her arms and tried to hug him back, wondering why he felt the need to do this. It made her feel weird. Confused even. He then thanked her. She wasn't entirely sure why. Everything was so confusing suddenly. She did good? She must have to get this reaction. Tylers next question puzzled Faith even more. Move?
"Why does Tyler want to move?...I don't mind...It's cold here but... Tyler chose here himself."

Tyler couldn't tell of Faith's confusion while she was held in his embrace. He didn't know she was confused by all the questions and actions taken recently, but of course she deserved the right to be confused. Tyler wasn't filling her in entirely of what was going on in his own mind. Shoot, he confused himself on the sudden action of spontaneous behavior, but for some reason it felt right to him. Sometimes, actions don't need to be logical, for if they feel right, they balance with ones intuition. Maybe this was something that Tyler could teach Faith as well...
"Faith, sometimes, when people do things, they don't have to do them to make sense. You don't have to give someone a hug because you have to, or because it seems logical. Sometimes, you just got to do what feels right to you..."
Tyler then took his hand, and placed it over his heart, closing his eyes and a smile on his face.
"Right here, my heart is telling me to go somewhere else. This world is so big and vast, and to stay in one place for so long would only be boring."
Then, opening his eyes, and taking Faith's hand in his, he placed their hands over her heart. He gently pressed on her hand to apply pressure to her chest, so that she would be able to feel her own heart beat. Tyler wanted her to feel her own heart beat, as he wanted her to understand that sometimes, just doing what feels right is all that's needed...
"What does your heart tell you Faith? What do you want to do this very second? Where does your heart want to guide you? Do you want to explore more with me, or do you really wish to remain here? Do you want to do something else? Tell me Faith..."
Tyler got really close, his eyes full of ambition and excitement in regards of her potential answer for the question presented to her. He was excited and really wanted to know what she was thinking since she was really beginning to establish her own processing of intuition. With the scarf on the Snowman, and even with her trying to wash her dish from breakfast, she was becoming more and more self aware to her own desires and wants. Tyler wanted to continue to push that from her, as he was getting very pleased with her potentially becoming fully self reliant. If she can establish her own desires and wants, that will be a HUGE leap in Faith's advancement.
Faith found herself being bombarded by questions that she honestly had no answers to. WHy was Tyler asking so much of her so quickly? It was making her feel a bit dizzy as she couldn't cope with all of the feelings she was experiencing. Joy, fear. They both collided and she just didn't know what to do. Tylers heart was beating fast and it just confused her even more. Why was it beating fast? Was something wrong? Did Faith mess up? Was he sick? Then Tyler made her hold her own heart. She felt her chest beating and suddenly, start beating really fast. Why? WHat was wrong with them?
"T-t...tyler...."
Faith looked at him, locked onto his eyes, her lip quivering and her arms feeling weak. All of this felt like a tonne of bricks crashing onto her little mind. Everything was so new. She didn't have an answer to anything Tyler said yet he asked more and more from her. She was getting hot. Really hot. The layers of clothing, the counteracting temperatures of hot and cold and all these questions blowing up inside her head, Faith became weak in the legs too.
"T-t...Tyler I...I don't feel well..."
Suddenly Faiths weakness got the better of her. She shut off and her body gave way. The girl fainted into Tylers arms with no strength to support herself. The girl was scared and confused, so her body did the one thing i knew how to do to protect her mental state and that was to simply turn off for a moment. Faith would remain unconscious for about 5 seconds before she would slowly open her eyes again.

---------------------------------------
As Tyler looked into the eyes of Faith, his excitement growing, waiting to hear that next word that would escape from the rose colored soft lips of hers, he couldn't wait to see her next stage of evolution. The potential of her developing mind growing so much just drew Tyler in more and more as he never believed she would think this quickly. Tyler expected her mentality to still be around that of a child, around the ages of a 6-8 year old, but she was showing signs of an early teen now! She was starting to explore her own emotions and desires, thinking of her own path instead of following in the footsteps of others and it was incredible! Faith's development in their 2 years since her revival have been a new adventure every day for Tyler, and it was really beautiful! Alchemy is indeed a powerful magical science, and if this is their capabilities of bringing the life of his friend back this quick, who knows what else it can do!?
But alas, something Tyler did not expect happened. Her eyes which he could stare into for days, started to show fear and worry. Her beautiful and gentle voice was starting to make to tone of anxiety, as she said his name in confusion, not understanding what he was saying. Of course the confusion didn't really bounce within his head, as he was more focused on the fact she said his name. Hearing it was really something that caused such a skip in his heart he didn't understand, but he wanted to hear it one more time. Everything was playing into Tyler's excitement of what she was about to declare, till something he didn't expect to happen. She said she wasn't feeling well, and immediately, his expression of joy and excitement died to worry and concern. He then could realize that she was beginning to really become scared, and the feeling of her beating heart could be felt from her chest at an alarming rate!
"F-FAITH!"
She passed out, and collapsed in Tyler's arms. Her lifeless body went limp and for the second time in Tyler's life, he felt the overbearing pain of loss within his heart. Each second felt like a lifetime, as she wouldn't move. She just laid there and sweat began to bead around Tyler's hair line.
"Faith... FAITH!"
Yelled Tyler in fear. He shook her gently trying to get some sort of reaction out of her, hoping that she would respond, but he didn't understand. What happened to her, and why did she just do that? He pressed two fingers from his left arm to her neck to indeed feel a pulse meaning she was passed out, but not a second later, she opened her eyes slowly, bringing focus back into the world around her. Tyler's look of worry was still there as he didn't understand what happened. His mind trying to equate what just happened and the possible solutions as to the problem before him, but something like Alchemy can't fix ones emotions and development. It might apply a band-aid, but Alchemy is a Science of manipulation and creation through destruction, not healing. She might be confused once again at his expression of fear, but he is legitimately scared for her. He lost her once due to an incurable disease within her bones, and if he had somehow lost her again, Tyler wouldn't know what to do! It was bad enough he had to sacrifice an important memory to bring her back, there's no telling what he'd sacrifice again to just hear her speak again..
"... I'm sorry..."
Tyler didn't know why he apologize, but he felt he had to. Somehow, someway, this was his fault. He didn't understand what he did to scare her or put her in that position, but he felt as though this was entirely his fault and no other possible reason can exist. He did something to push her beyond her limits, thus her body did the only thing it could, and it caused a scare for him. As a sad expression took over from Tyler's face, he simply leaned inward, and picked Faith up bridal style, carrying her inside their cabin. Today was a day full of excitement and joy, but it wasn't even noon yet and he already pushed her too far. She deserved to rest, and he deserved a good look in the mirror to really think about what he was doing. Does he really care about her? Or does he care more about the fact she is just his petty science experiment and he gets to test on her as much as he wants? Ultimately, what is the reason she is in his arms now?
As Tyler carried Faith inside, he closed the door behind him and didn't bother to remove Faith's outdoor apparel. He simply carried her to the sofa by the fireplace and laid her there so she could rest. After she was softly laid down, he would grab the blanket that was draped over the couch back and place it over her for extra warmth and comfort. All this, while keeping the same saddened expression on his face and in silence. His mind was currently in a battle right now, and he didn't understand fully where he went wrong. After she was laid down, Tyler left Faith alone in the room by the fire as he proceeded into his room where he would close the door behind him and sit on his bed. Sitting before him on the wall was indeed a mirror where he could look upon himself. His eyes, sharp and dead looking, light traces of facial hair and his glasses magnifying the scientific being he was. Anger slowly built up inside him as he looked at the being before him. This being looked like the one that ignored the request of the friend he cared for long ago, just to have an excuse to bring a life back to the living realm and play with it. Was Faith even a human with emotions to him, or was she literally the homunculus in the other room to be his test subject? What was he doing!?
A tear began to develop around the right of Tyler's eye as he continued to look at the hideous being in the mirror. It didn't deserve to care for the innocent and beautiful girl in the other room. He was a terrible person and didn't deserve a true friend like Faith all those years ago. Instead, he deserved to be alone, and simply be away from people. His soulless acts were proof of that, as he took for granted the care of Faith, and used it to test his limitations on the girls mind. That was by far, the lowest thing he's ever done, and he deserved to rot for it.
Laying on his bed, sick of looking at his own reflection, he closed his eyes...
Faith blinked a few times while she was still outside, being held by Tyler to stop her from collapsing entirely. She didn't know what had happened. She couldn't move her lips to talk as she was too shocked from the experience to even make a squeak. Tyler quickly took care of her, lifting her into his arms and taking her back indoors. She could see the world moving past her as she stared up at him, his face plagued with distraught and terror. He really felt bad for what happened, but Faith was clueless. It was almost like she just woke up from going to bed. She didn't hurt. She felt alright. She just didn't understand why she woke up outside in the snow.
Tyler brought her into the front room and laid her down on the couch. Here she could take a short nap to recover her strength. He didn't take any of her clothes off her and proceeded to leave the room. Faith laid there for a short while, staring at the fireplace and blinking once every 12 or so seconds. She felt weird. In fact, she started to feel hot. Her clothes felt like they were strangling her a bit so she started to try and wriggle. After a few attempts, she managed to pull her arms out from under her and unzip the coat. She slipped her arms out of the sleeves and shrugged it off onto the floor. Now for the gloves. She yanked at it with her little strength and managed to get one off before the other. That felt much better. Now what was she to do? She could move her body as proven by the removal of her outdoor clothes. She she get up? Should she explore?
Faith lifted herself into a sitting position and took a deep breath. She felt exhausted. She really must have slept weirdly in that snow. Faith struggled to get onto her feet, shaking as she did so and clutching her head as a sharp pain shot through her skull. She was concerned, but something else concerned her. Where did Tyler go? Faith slowly started to stumble around the front room before walking into the hallway and eventually sliding down to his bedroom. The girl gripped the door handle and pushed on it, letting it open gently. Inside was Tyler, sprawled out on his bed. He didn't look happy at all. he looked sad. Faith pulled the door open fully and slowly moved into the room. She couldn't stand up much longer and sat on the end of the bed, still holding her head.
"Tyler....are you okay?..."

"What do we do her-- Oops, my bad..." Alchemist Tyler "Ty" Bourgoine 人間の錬金術師
---------------------------------------
As Tyler laid on his bed, contemplating the reason behind his actions, he slowly fell deeper and deeper into his own created depression. He continued to question the reasons behind his motives and the purpose behind his actions. What was the real reason he was pressuring Faith in such a fashion to find out questions that weren't really relevant to her development? To better pursue her development, Tyler should be presenting problems to her at a curve that starts at her stage of maturity and go from there. Instead he was pressuring her subconscious for things he personally wanted to know. He wanted to know about her thoughts on him, and her stage of thoughts, instead of properly helping her. It was like he was passively searching for an answer even he didn't know the true question to. For some reason, he was aware of his age and level of attraction, but he is normally able to pass off such actions instantly with a distraction of science or something. Instead of doing so, he pressured Faith into something that wasn't good for her. He just did the worst thing instead, and due to that, he didn't deserve to be her friend...
Tyler used his feet to press his shoes off without even undoing the laces, as his level of care was really too low to matter at this point. He didn't even feel the over heating temperature of his jacket in the room, mainly due to his damaged nerves, but also due to his emotions wiping his level of mood away. Normally, he'd remove the jacket and just lay down to rest, but fact was, he was feeling lethargic and tired. He didn't want to do anything really, he just wanted everything to stop where it was while he tried to think. Was there a way to scientifically find out what was going on in his mind while he tries to fix the problem he's caused? He hurt Faith on accident and not only did he have to make it up to her somehow, he had to find a way to prevent himself from ever doing it again.
While Tyler continued to ponder, he heard a noise at the door. He didn't really want to push the effort to find out who it is, as it was only logical to know who it really is. She shouldn't be up and about if she just recently fainted, thus she should continue to lay down, but with Faith at the door, Tyler could not ignore her coming to see him. As she sat at the end of the bed, Tyler turned his body so his stomach was now laying on his mattress and he buried his head in his pillow while letting out a long sigh. He didn't honestly know how to handle the situation. Due to Faith's innocence and attachment to Tyler, it only makes sense that she'd come to him before even trying to solve her own problems, but fact was, she needed to start learning to care for herself before others. That way, she'll hopefully be able to make better decisions and push Tyler away in the future if he dared to make something stupid like he just did happen again...
"Faith... You shouldn't be in here... I did something bad and need to be punished... Go ahead and go to your room and rest for a while. I need to remain here and think about what I've done..."
Tyler continued to lay on the bed struggling to move, as he just didn't have the heart to move. He just wanted to lay there and think more about why he acted the way he did. The reasons behind his own actions and whatnot. Maybe instead of asking why, he should follow his own advice and look more into the impulsive action of his own heart? Perhaps he should analyze the decisions he was making and perhaps find a solution from those feelings, and negate them to better aid Faith's development...
Or perhaps she just needed a female influence? Another female to better help Faith develop. Since Tyler was just a young man and was still full of unwise decisions just like he represented recently...
Letting out another sigh, Tyler tried harder and harder to think about what happened, and why, ignoring Faith's presence...
Faith sat at the end of the bed and looked down at Tyler who clearly wasn't happy whatsoever. Faith must have done something pretty bad to make him feel like this. She couldn't help but feel the worst. The girl decided to do one of the only things she could think of doing. She could remember them being very close outside and Faith had seen many people on the streets doing it to. The girl crawled onto the bed beside Tyler and laid down beside him. She then reached over to hug his body. Faith wasn't entirely sure what had happened but she wanted to try and makes things better.
"I'm Sorry..."
Faith didn't know what she was apologising for but she felt like it was needed. Tyler respinded by telling her to just go back to her room but she didn't listen. Instead, she just gripped his shirt harder.
"No. I want to stay here where Tyler is."
Maybe she was a bit too dependant on Tyler. However you could look at it another way. Maybe Tyler was thinking into this too much. Faith depended on him and he wanted her to choose what she wanted in life. Maybe what she wanted was for nothing to change. Their life was fine the way it is. The world is scary. it is cold and it is harsh. In here it was warm and Tyler could protect her.

"What do we do her-- Oops, my bad..." Alchemist Tyler "Ty" Bourgoine 人間の錬金術師
---------------------------------------
Tyler laid there, awaiting for Faith to leave him be and do as he asked. He was still within his own world, questioning his motives and why he was acting so weird, but then to his surprise, he took notice to Faith transitioning not away from him, but closer instead. He paid it no real mind, but kept his senses aware to the fact she crept closer and ended up laying next to him. He turned his head, looking over to her now and seeing that she had made herself situated next to his body and then reached around, hugging him and bringing herself closer to him. Her head was ducked away so he couldn't see her face that well, but she began to apologize for something that wasn't her fault. He didn't understand why she was apologizing or anything like that, but perhaps she believed it was her fault to begin with.
She tightened her grip after his response, bringing herself closer and tighter, refusing to let go as he could feel the grip from her onto his clothing pulling him to her. Even though she said she wanted to stay here, where Tyler is, it wasn't good for her. Tyler wanted her to stay. He wanted her to remain close to him, as he began to feel better and that the pain in his chest was calming down with her near, but he couldn't bring himself to allow that. He messed up and ended up causing a problem to poor Faith, thus he wasn't good for her right now. He understood her attachment to him was nothing more than a daughter wanting their Father to be around and protect them, but while Faith's mind had that childish mentality, her body was that of a woman. It confused Tyler even, and ended up causing problems for him.
He really was too immature for this.
Turning his body, he moved to now face Faith, and wrapped his arms around her, bringing her close to him as well, so she could even feel his pathetic heart beat. She was warm and soft. She was so real, and felt so much like the same girl he was friends with all those years ago, and for her to feel like that, and yet know it wasn't exactly the same person hurt him inside. If she didn't die, and he didn't have to re-create her, maybe they could have grown up together, and lived a better life? Perhaps he should have instead ignored the promise they made those years ago, and lived with the memories they shared during her life, and let her rest instead? Tyler can't deny that he misses Faith so much, and that holding her in his arms like this felt so real, but he also cannot deny the stupid mistakes he made, and overall, his reasoning behind some of the actions taken in the past...
"I won't let you go Faith... I promised you I'd bring you back to life, and I will make sure you life this damn life I promised you..."
A Promise...
It was a promise he made with her on her death bed so many ages ago. He promised her a life, and god damn it, he will give her one. A Real life full of excitement, wonder, and joy. He wanted nothing more than to give her happiness, and he would rather die before she live a happy life. But to make that happen, he had to make sacrifices. Just like in the laws of Alchemy, something had to be lost to be gained. Tyler needs to sacrifice himself and his own personal agenda, in which to give a better life for the one held in his arms this day. Realizing that, Tyler needed to stick to what was right, and enforce it...
"Please Faith. Leave me. I've been bad, and I need to be punished for being bad..."
Hopefully she'll understand that, and leave him to take care of himself, for the actions he's caused...
Faith laid there on her side, holding onto Tyler and showing no signs of letting go. She was happy here and would easily fall asleep right here if he would let her. However he wasn't in the mood for anything. He felt really bad for what happened and wanted to punish himself for his actions. Faith didn't understand why.
"You don't need to be punished...I'm still here right?"
Faith wriggled a little bit to get comfortable as Tyler reached round to hug her back. Anyone that could see these two would think they were close. More than close. You could say they were but at the same time they were both too clueless about their own feelings and motives to really consider each other more than what they are right now. Faith Chose not to let go and remained exactly where she was.
"Tyler needs to stop blaming himself. Lets...um...lets rest for a bit."
Faith thought maybe some sleep or something would help. She felt really dizzy still and didn't want to move much. What else do you do in a bed after all? Faith decided to close her eyes, regardless of Tylers response. She wanted to nap here.
