• Calm, Cool, and Collected:: Pociden is not afraid to reach his limit and then go past it. When facing a dangerous situation, he is not afraid to take it head on. Even under great pressure, he is able to stay focused.

• Protective:: His love for his friends and those closest to him is very strong. So strong, that he will do anything to protect them. This includes risking his own life to save them if it has to come to that conclusion.

• Competitive:: He is competitive when it comes to doing something. Whether it be a mission or just a simple race, he will always try and find a way to show that he is much better than the person he is with or against.

• Curious:: He finds a lot of things very interesting. Though sometimes his curiosity can lead him into trouble. The expression 'curiosity killed the cat' applies to Pociden whenever he lets this part of him lead.

• Humor:: Pociden has a good sense of humor. He will make jokes on accidents his friends do and everyone would laugh at it including the friend. Sometimes he'll make a joke about his friends just to lighten up the mood.

Human Life:

In his life, Pociden was always a guy who easily made friends. Since preschool to junior high he always had a group of friends to socialize with. But there were two friends who were his best and most cherished friends. If they ever needed help, he was always there to help them. Out of the two, each one has their own story on how they met Pociden.

The very first friend he made that was apart of the group was in the second grade. He was walking home when he saw a group of kids bulling this other kid. The person being bullied was outnumbered 3 to 1. Pociden, without thinking, took off his backpack and ran towards the them. With both hands on the strap, he swung the bag, hitting the bully closest to him first. Using the momentum in his last swing, he spun around and struck the second one with the bag. Pociden was panting as he saw the third one take off followed by the other two. He noticed that his bag was ruined but didn't really care. He turned around and offered his hand to the person he had just saved. The stranger took his hand and Pociden helped the kid up. The kid thanked him and they exchanged names. Their friendship grew stronger after that day.

The second friend was after a cross country meeting in the 7th grade. The person challenged Pociden to a race, claiming that they were much faster than he was. Pociden took the challenge and set the date. The days rolled by quickly and soon it was race day. Pociden walked to the track with his friend, the one he saved, and began to stretch. Soon, the challenger came with a few of his friends. They took their positions on the track. Someone yelled "GO!" and Pociden and the kid took off. They were pretty much even halfway through the race. They both were sprinting at their top speed breathing heavily. They turned the corner of the last track and the finish line was just ahead. Pociden gave it all he had but the other kid kept up with him. They were just a few feet away from the end when Pociden, with the last of his energy, pulled ahead by a few inches and won. Both of them were panting extremely fast. Pociden said in between pants, "Good...race..." and offered his hand to the kid. The classmate took his hand and shook it. They've been friends ever since then.

When high school came, each of them began developing a strong bond between each other. They began to hang out with each other more and more frequently. Soon, the trio became inseparable. They always went everywhere together and did things like homework or projects together. Soon, they were nearing their last year in high school. The year flew by quickly and as soon as they began their senior year in high school, they were just a few days from graduating. The trio were on their way to hang out at one of their houses. It was dark since they had to stay after school to do some extra things. They began crossing a street when a car came flying at them at high speed. Pociden was the only one who saw this and knew that his friends would get hit by the car if he didn't do something. He made a split second decision and pushed his friends out of the way. The car hit him and he was sent flying. The car stopped and a man got out to check to see if he wasn't hurt too bad. His friends, shocked at the shape Pociden was in, ran over to him to and called the emergency number. But by the time the paramedics came, he had lost too much blood from internal bleeding and passed away.

Life in the Academy:

At the start of his academy life, Pociden was filled with determination. This determination was to be the very best he can me. He was filled with the determination to protect those around him and those that he cared for the most. He still was able to retain most of his memories from his past, having a few spots left blank here and there.

At first, Pociden did not get the best grades in the class. In fact, his grades were one of the worst in the class. Seeing how poorly he did, he made a goal to train hard and push himself to his limits in order to obtain higher marks. His skills began to improved significantly all around but his two strongest ones was his speed and his ability to use his hoho effectively. After 5 months of hard training, he was able to rise up to be one of the top 5 students in the academy. Even with the passing of the academy, he never let go of his desire to help and protect those closest to him.

Life of a Shinigami:

At first, Pociden was sent to do guard duty and some small errands here and there. After a while, Pociden was then sent to the Human world to a Konsō. He requested that he was sent to the area where his friend used to live. Pociden received confirmation and he set out to do his task at hand. He was going to check up on his friends first. Along the way he found a few souls and perfomed a Konsō on them. He got to their house and saw that much has changed. They each had a prospering life and a family. He smiled as he saw his friends do well in life. He went back to the Soul Society happy that his friends had moved on since his passing.

After his mission to earth, he was put in a team with 9 other shinigamis to go and clear out hollows. His first mission was to go and clear out a group of hollows that had appeared in Karakura forest. They got to their destination and found a group of about ten hollows. Pociden took out his Zanpakutō when a shingami charged towards the group followed by three more. Pociden followed and soon, the entire squad was in combat with the 10 hollows. The hollow threw a fist at Pociden. He dodged it only to be struck by another hollow behind him. He was sent flying and then crashed into a tree. He was hurt badly but not enough that he couldn't fight. He ran up to the first hollow and, with a quick Shunpo in front of the hollow's face, made an upwards strike that sent the hollow reeling back. The hollow fell to the ground with its mask and face split. Pociden turned to see how the others were doing. What he had seen made him grow cold. 5 of his fellow teammates were on the floor either dead or too wounded to even move. The other five were injured badly but still fighting the hollows. On the hollows side, only 4 of them were left still fighting. Pociden joined the rest of his team and the five of them slayed the last few hollows. Tired, bloody, and injured, Pociden pulled out his Denreishinki and called the Soul Society. He ended the call, his exhaustion caught up to him. The adrenaline rush faded and he fell to the floor passed out. He woke up in his bed, his wounds all healed.

He got up and headed to the room where the rest of his team was there. Except there were only 3 of them there. He looked around and everyone had a pale look on their face. Pociden asked where is everyone was and no one replied. Another one of the members came into the room and Pociden asked the shinigami where was the rest of the group.

The shinigami looked at him and turned away."They're all dead." he said with a cold and distant voice and walked away.

Upon hearing this news, it took some time for it to sink in. Pociden sat down with a shocked look on his face. He couldn't believe that 5 of his teammate had died. He looked around at the other 4 shinigamis who all looked depressed. His shock turned to determination as he made a vow on that day that he would not let any more of his fellow teammates die. Even if it had to cost him his life to save them.

After a few days since the losing half of his fellow teammates, Pociden began calling team meetings to discuss strategy with them and how they could improve on working together. They began training as a team and started to become in sync with each other. They were given several more missions as months passed. The missions were mostly to clean up large groups of hollows. Soon, they became skilled at working as a team and killing the hollows. The group began to develop a bond between each of them as they began to work better with each other. Each one started to care for each other like friends. Soon, they were clearing out hollows out efficiently and effectively. Until one day, they got a report to investigate an anomaly in spiritual pressure. The group set off to take this mission head on.

Upon reaching the area, everything had seemed fine at first glance. They looked around and that's when a group of a few hollows ambushed them. The group made swift work of them and looked around. The area seemed to be fine so they started to leave. That's when the all felt it. Everyone stopped abruptly and slowly turned around. What they saw had sprouted a hint of fear in each of them. A Garganta began opening up in which a group of 4 Adjuchas jumped out and landed right in front of the shinigami group.

"This is not good. We can't handle 4 Adjuchas." Pociden thought.

They all drew their zanpakutos and were ready to right. Pociden looked around at his teammates and decided it was better to try and killed them than having them run loose. Pociden charged in followed by a member in his group. Pociden performed a quick Shunpo behind one of the Adjuchas and made a downward slash. He saw the blow was somewhat effective but let his guard down by accident. Suddenly, he was swatted from the air to the ground by one of the Adjuchas. He slammed into the ground and felt some of his rib bones crack. He was in a lot of pain but he got up anyways. He jumped back into the fray with the rest of his team and took on the Adjuchas. Slowly though, each shinigami fell to the ground one by one. Soon, it was just him and one other teammate who were standing. The others were on the ground. Pociden looked around and saw their injuries. Two looked severely injured and and the others looked like either they were dead or barely alive. This only drove him on to fight harder though and protect his friends. He charged at them even though his body was in immense pain. He shunpoed up to one hollow's back and then performed a downwards strike. The attack hit but didn't seem very effective. He shunpoed again near the front of the hollow only to get hit by one of the hollow's fist. He was sent flying back due to the punch and tumbled on the floor until he stopped landing on his face. He lifted himself up using his Zanpakutō to support himself and saw that the hollow was towering above him with his fist about to come down on Pociden. Pociden closed his eyes and waited for his end. "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you all." he thought. He waited and waited. Still, nothing came. He opened his eyes and saw that everything seemed to slow down. The slow in time almost made it seem like everything had stopped. That's when he heard something. It was faint and distant but it was there. Then it became clearer and clearer. It was the sound of footsteps and they were starting to become louder. They ended and a mysterious voice asked him a question.

"Do you want to save your comrades?" the voice asked in a low, calm tone.

Pociden looked around but saw no one. He was beginning to wonder where the voice was coming from when he began to develop a feeling that the voice that asked him that question was coming from his Zanpakutō. He stared at his zapakuto and wondered when it asked him the question again.

"Do you want to save your comrades or not?" the voice asked again with more emphasis.

Surprised that his Zanpakutō was talking to him, he was hesitant in his response. He thought of the right words to say and said, "Yes, no matter what the cost is. I will protect my friends."

"Hmm...are you willing to risk your own safety and well being for them? Enough to die for them?" his Zanpakutō asked.

Instantly Pociden, without a doubt, said, "Yes. If I know they are safe, then I can be able to die happy with this knowledge as my last memory in mind."

"Hmm...fine. I will lend you my power then from here on out. Though, be wary with your curiousness because the power you seek can kill you." the voice said.

It began to fade as it said one last thing. "Before I go, you should know that my name is Dusk."

Pociden's Zanpakutō changed form and he felt empowered with more energy to fight. Time began returning back to its normal flow and soon, the hollow's fist came down. Pociden saw this and Shunpoed away before it hit. His body screamed in pain but he ignored it and focused on saving his teammates. He looked around and saw that one of the Adjuchas went over to the shinigami who was still standing and was about to smash them with his fist. He performed a quick Shunpo over to him and blocked the attack. He pushed off the hollows fist and then and then Shunpoed behind the hollow and made a slash attack at the hollow's back. He shunpoed once more and dealt a strong blow to its face with his Zanpakutō. But he let his guard and one of the hollows punched him right out of the air towards the ground. His body hit the ground and created a small crater in the ground. His body was in an immense amount of pain. He used his Zanpakutō to get up and support himself only to see that the Adjucha was beginning to charge a cero. He knew that he couldn't be able to dodge this and waited for the cero to hit him.

That's when the Adjucha was sliced in half and killed. Pociden was surprised what had happened and saw a vice-captain had come and help. He heard footsteps come behind him and saw that another vice-captain had come to help them.

"You did well," the vice-captain said as he stood next to him, "now rest and let us handle this." As the vice-captain said that, Pociden began to lose consciousness. He fell to the floor and the last thing he saw was the vice-captains fighting the Adjuchas.

He awoke in his room and looked around. The last thing he had remembered was two vice-captains fighting the Adjuchas. Shortly after, his door had opened and the same vice-captains came into his room.

"Ah I see you're alive. You got some crazy speed my friend. I'm sorry that we sent you out to check that anomaly. We didn't expect 4 Adjuchas to appear." One of the vice-captains said.

Pociden looked around and asked the question that was on his mind since he just woke up. "Are my teammates alive?"

The other vice-captain interrupted the first one and said, "All of your teammates survived...except one. By the time we had got to them, they were already gone. I'm sorry."

Pociden sighed and closed his eyes. They didn't have to tell him who it was because he already saw how bad they were when he looked around. He opened them again and stood up. He thanked the vice-captains for telling him and they left. Soon after the battle, Pociden rejoined his squad and continued on their missions. He made a vow to train harder so that me may one day be strong enough to become a vice-captain or a captain and protect those closest to him and those who are in need of help.

Blade of Wings

For every moment Pociden is in combat, he starts to become slightly faster. The longer the combat, the more advantage he will obtain in in speed against his opponent. This speed is used to increase his attack speed and his movement speed making him difficult to duel against since he can dodge attacks quicker, move faster making it harder to hit him, and his barrage of attacks will only become that much quicker. Thus, Pociden excels at longer fights. So, for every 1 post, he will obtain an increase of 5% in his speed. Upon reaching a 20% increase in his speed, the stacking is increased to 10% every 1 post. Upon reaching 60%, it jumps to a 20% increase in speed per post and capping at 100%.

Dark Slashes

Pociden performs 5 quick air slashes, sending out 5 waves of Reiryoku in the color of his Reiatsu. These quick slashes are fast. Though they are slightly weak as a single unit, they are powerful when combined together.

Burst of Energy

When his shikai is used, he gets a burst of energy. This burst of energy is like a second adrenaline rush. The difference is that it doesn't run out. The only restriction is the time limit on it. Once the limit is reached, he does not feel the exhaustion in his body. On the contrary, his body feels rejuvenated and refreshed. The time limit is about 3 posts.

Dark Barrier

Pociden will create a dome-like barrier in the color of his Reiatsu which protects him and one other person. This barrier is created instantly and can protect against all forms of damage. After the barrier is created, he cannot perform any action because sustaining the barrier will take most of his concentration. The barrier will last for about 1 post.

Shadow Boost: Speed

Upon the blade transforming, it will effect Pociden's body. He become much quicker and faster. His reactions are quicker and he is able to dodge things in an instance notice. This allows him to perform things like shunpoes much more faster.

Shadow Boost: Strength

Just like the change in his speed, the strength in his body will also undergo a change. His attacks are much stronger and can penetrate deeper too. Also, his abilities are strengthened due to this boost.

Shadow Boost: Toughness

Another effect of the blade is the increase in toughness. He is able to receive less damage then he normally would and even ignore some blows to his body.
