Her warning was not heeded by the youngling known as Jetta. Against such odds... it wasn't even so much admirable as it was foolish. This is how so-called heroes wasted their lives away, fighting battles they cannot fight because of a notion branded into their mind. Then later down the line when they would be needed most, they would not be there. They'd have sacrificed themselves to that stubborn notion. Jetta was that type of person, who toiled with deities as a mortal herself, throwing stones at the sky and screaming. She was forsaken of rationality, perhaps even her humanity; as Nozomi tried to bring her to terms of peace, she reacted like an animal backed into a corner. She did not even have words to back up her groundless attack. She just threw it out against the blue-haired Quincy and forced her hand. These flames would burn a powerless human to a crisp, but to Nozomi was little more than a heat wave. Still, she would not hesitate to cripple the Vizard's in the most profound fashion possible, and she did it all at the flick of her fingers. In a split second Nozomi would create a vacuum of space around the one known as Jetta, robbing both her and the raging inferno of its oxygen and its fuel. She asphyxiated the flames completely, watching them dissipate into nothingness without a medium to carry it. No longer was the illusion of power granted to Jetta, and only emptiness remained as she would appear to suffocate here. So she might try to generate more gasses for her flames to burn, and yet Nozomi's temperaments would stifle Jetta yet again, sucking the elements away from her and maintaining this vacuum. With her mere thoughts, Nozomi would render Jetta's primary power useless, perhaps driving home the message of how little she could accomplish.
And so when Zefonse Kaizme arrived on the other side of the Yuudeshi, Nozomi merely turned away as nothing more had to be done. She had no time to formulate a secondary strategy to combat a man such as Zefonse before she was incapacitated. Only with the 'eyes on the back of her head' did she witness Jetta's swift defeat, a third of invader's forces eliminated. Nozomi next turned her attentions to Rose, or at least the gaze of her eyes. It would appear a favor had been done by the Arrancar while Nozomi had attempted to suppress the current wild card that was known as Claire. Despite all of her millenium of having to wield such dangerous masses of energy, despite having to master it lest she be crushed by the sheer weight of it; despite that, there was someone who could subjugate her Onikagahi against her will, and such a thing was unacceptable. As Claire had somehow figured out the tune to play to assimilate Nozomi's energy, Rose would fight back on her behalf. Her energy was tampered with, and as frustrated as the notion was to her, it vastly benefitted her. It rendered Claire's absolute control ineffective against Onikagahi, hampering the heist of energy as quickly as it had begun. Not only that, but Nozomi could... and would use this. She had been too far gone from the world that her skills were out-dated. Compared to those of old ages, these new kids were toting around much more formidable skills. Rose easily altered the properties of Onikagahi; Claire broke down and enslaved the energy; Hebi's energies could not be affected by outside influence whatsoever. Nozomi would become a fossil if she did not adapt.
She had these three subjects under the omniscient scrutiny of her dark eyes, plenty of material to analyze and break down to create her own defense against foreign manipulations. The Mad Doctor's Satanic Uniqueness served as the base of her makeshift experiment, as such an effect was primarily what she was going for. Thankfully, when Nozomi had come to fully understand the identity of the man, so too did she comprehend his powers. She had the information necessary to replicate the property—and the method Rose used to alter the Onikagahi could also be used here. The extreme efficiency and swiftness with which she applied immunity against Claire's manipulations to the Demonic Radiance; Nozomi reproduced the method as she had witnessed it used. Very much like the other powerhouses in this city, Nozomi would display a hyper-accelerated processing power and incredible mental deduction, developing this ability—Vollkommen—in the fraction of a second it took to reply to Rose. By the time she opened her mouth to utter the name Rose sought, her own, Onikagahi was now and permanently would be immune to any foreign tampering. This change would become clear as Rose's origin code was peeled away and substituted for Nozomi's own variance. Albeit the Quincy's face remained rather emotionless, she would not fail to express her gratitude to the Mischievang. ''You have my thanks for the assistance, Rose. I don't get out much. As for this fight, it is over. With Jetta eliminated, there will be no more opposition to speak of. Zefonse will reclaim his impulsive subordinate, and Claire too will be recovered. Look for yourself...''
Claire was on the brink, her persona threatening to tip over the edge as she threatened the city with destruction. Nozomi, swallowed the bile that had welled up in her throat after witnessing her own energy being used to summon her enemy's grand weapon. Nozomi read her lips forming the weapon's name: Magnum of Existence. She merely had to tilt her head upwards to see the titanic cannon floating above the atmosphere. Yet she didn't bother, for the situation would play out all by itself. Nozomi pointed it out to Rose, the manifestation of the Demon Queen Mana, appearing here for her beloved sister. The very atmosphere would become infused with an emerald hue by the sheer merit of her presence alone. Nozomi had seen her once before not too long ago, which is why she was able to recognize her arrival; she did not forget a signature so profound. Mana would isolate Claire and herself from the rest to converse with her sister, while Zefonse's form shot towards the skies at a blinding speed. His intention was obvious; he appeared before the colossal construct to remove it from existence, despite the irony of the matter. While Claire was distracted, the swordsman would pierce his sword into the machine once, a single time, and it would come to pieces in that time. The once formidable structure would shatter into millions of shards—all the energy used to build it was released and dispersed harmlessly. It was a show of muscle between the powers here, as despite the fact that the Rosary's intent for peace matched that of her adversaries, she still wasted the power in summoning this 'Magnum of Existence'. Zefonse would so easily dispatch of it, achieving the same end as they had begun with. It was a pointless cycle of actions; all of this. The fight was won, and now only the menial task of cleaning up the mess remained.
So why did the Doctor aggress again? Nozomi was already figuring that out, her body twitching slightly as she perceived the change in his mentality. Her head turned ever so slightly in his direction and the look on her face would tell Rose she was no longer paying her any attention. The hostility between Kabuto and Claire became so evidently clear, that it blared out at the forefront of his mind. Nozomi did not even have to pry to discover what a mad man like him was willing to do despite the negotiations of peace. Even though the fight was over; even though he had the Demon Queen in his way, the sheer hatred he possessed for the woman on the other side was so great that he fully intended to annihilate her with the full extent of his power. As much as this man was her ally, however, she could not allow him to tarnish the proceedings. As Kabuto spoke to the Demon Queen, Nozomi was very gradually turning away from Rose, taking casual steps in their direction upon thin air. Every word he uttered was layered with a greater and greater lack of self-control, swiftly dwindling down into the depths of his mad mind. She knew what was coming and did not allow it to happen; before his request even left his mouth, Nozomi's God Step took her behind the man in a blur. Her mouth formed the word 'shatter', but she did not speak it audibly. Simultaneously, her forefinger and middle finger tapped the back of the Doctor's skull with negligible force. While nothing seemed to back this swift strike, to Hebi it would feel as though his mind would be obliterated. He would descend into pitch darkness, his body becoming limp and no longer retaining consciousness. He would begin to fall out of the air for a split second, but the blue-haired Quincy caught him in her arms and carefully hoisted his form over her shoulder like a heavy package. Instead of snakelike yellow eyes, Mana would instead face stark crimson hues taking his place.
''It is done, ended, finished. The opposition is eliminated, and the city secured by adequate forces to not have to worry for the time being.'' Nozomi spoke softly, looking at the horned demon strangely, as if slightly curious. This lasted only for a moment before she turned away to look down at the city. Even despite the childish tampering of Zefonse's subordinate—as there really was no other way to put her actions—the city would continue to reconstruct itself. The Onikagahi was given a task, and it would fulfill that task irregardless of Nozomi's presence. Even when Nozomi was long gone, the dark energy would remain behind to bring Melbounre back to pristine condition, and only then fade out. The water would evaporate if it tried to enter the streets of the city, as the Onikagahi recognized it as not belonging there. If Magnolia pushed to make this situation as frustrating as possible, then Nozomi would merely push back harder... as well as develop contempt for the adolescent. When she finally left the scene, then the Quincy no longer had to worry about her trying to kick over more buildings or something else equally annoying. The Onikagahi would do work and there would be no further wasting of time and effort. One last time, she contacted rose telepathically just so she didn't have to bother with the slow and drawn-out action of speaking vocally. The speed of thought conveyed the messaged much more swiftly. 'I will take my leave. I fought for you, but I am not part of your organization, or any of the others that laid claim to this city. I have no more point to be here and I will not go out of my way to make it so. The city is yours. Goodbye, Rose.'
And thus, the responsibility of Melbourne was out of her hands. The woman would use one hand to hold the Doctor securely, while the other swiped through the air like a blade to split the fabric of reality. When the Garganta opened, Nozomi could be considered already gone. Her mental presence would seem to disappear, while her energy signature would as well—excepting the Onikagahi in the city below, though that was apart of her. Any questions badgered to her would be ignored. Kabuto was the responsibility she cared for now, and she would prioritize taking him somewhere safe. She moved through the portal with purpose, and closed it behind her to finally leave Melbourne, as well as the plane of the Living World entirely.
