Saito Hiroshi
Tue Nov 09, 2010 8:43 pm
SHINIGAMI
Name: Saito Hiroshi
Gender: Male
Age: 1666 / 29
Personality: Saito has very conflicting personality. It mainly consists of being Passive, Bloodthirsty, and Excited.
Passive
The first emotional phase Saito has is his most common one. When Saito first wakes up, and until something interesting happens, he will be completely passive. Nothing will matter to him. He will be completely passive towards everything around him, and everyone will mean very little to him (but deep down, he does care for them.) This is his outer shell where everyone is simply a nuisance.
Bloodthirsty
Now we're talking. When the prospect of battle is glinting in Saito's face, he will jump for it. Any chance he gets to fight will result in his opponents becoming a bloody stain on the carpet. He attacks with no mercy in a fight, and simply wishes to shed as much blood as possible.
Sadistic
Sometimes, Saito will resort to torture. When in torture mode, his true sadistic tendacies will begin to show, and he will outright shiver in pleasure at the prospect of making his victims cry for freedom.
Excited
When Saito is excited, he is very giddy. Like a six year old on crack, he is slightly jumpy and is never without a large grin on his face.
All of his other emotions range just as normally as someone elses. He gets angry a little quickly sometimes, but that is really the only flux in his personality traits that he has that differs from everyone elses.
Appearance:
Zanpakutô Spirit:
Kotsuzui is a massive, demonic entity made completely of bone. He is a brutal monster. He craved only blood, death, destruction, and victory. It was not due to anger, however. Kotsuzui was simply too prideful to allow any form of losing. And if that meant destroying all form of opposition, so be it. Kotsuzui has a simple goal. To help Saito. He wants Saito's life to be as easy as possible. He will use as much brute force as possible for this, and isn't one to mince words. He says what's on his mind, and crushes what doesn't agree. He loves Saito, and will do anything to protect him.
Kotsuzui lives in Saito's inner world, which is a massive wasteland of grey, black, and bone. The ground isn't visible, and the only light comes from the white gleam off of Kotsuzui's bones.
Sealed Zanpakuto:
His Sealed Zanpakuto is your basic Katana, roughly two and a half/Three foot blade with a black sheath and white lace
Shikai Description: Kotsuzui's shikai form is almost four feet long. The blade widens near the end, and ends in a very sharp curve, the diamond-shape of the blade allowing for it to still maintain maximum speed and cutting ability. The blade is silver, while the handle is pitch black. It has a large tuft of fur instead of a hand guard, and the hilt has periodic holes in it.
Shikai Abilities:
Name: Bone Conjugation
Description: Saito has the ability to create bone from his reiatsu/reishi/reiryoka. He can manipulate this bone (and all bone) with intense skill. If the bone he is trying to control is already being controlled by someone (aka, in another person) he may not manipulate it. In order to manipulate bone, his reiatsu must overpower the reiatsu signature on that bone already. The limit of the bone he can control is limited only by his amount of reiatsu.
Name: Cloak Conjugation
Description: This is a secondary ability granted by his zanpakuto. Saito can weave his reiatsu into a fleshy substance and cover the bone he creates and controls with it. This fleshy substance is a replacement for skin, muscle, and blood. The more power he puts into it, the stronger his creations are. Also, becuase his reiatsu is red, the flesh cloak he creates is, of course, a deep red. The intensity of the cloak can range from 1-5, 1 being normal flesh, and 5 being burn on physical contact.
Name: Bone Tap
Description: Once a being has been made, Saito can verbally give orders to these creatures, and they will obey him, for they have no choice. Something very special Saito can do is dubbed Bone Tap: Beyond. If he has the bones of an actual being before they died, he is able to pull their spirit from either Soul Society or Hueco Mundo (provided they still exist) and speak with them, where they must answer his interrogations honestly.
Release: Ujimushi, Kotsuzui To Parusu
Bankai Description:
In the beginning, His bankai must have been activated with a special release phrase. This phrase was 'Sunappuin wa, kossetsu, kyūkei de sono higai no jikan o, kotsuzui ekō!', which meant 'Snap and fracture, Break with an echo that ravages time, Marrow!' Now, however, he must merely say 'Bankai', as everyone else.
~ANYWAY~
Saito's bankai is first and foremost a transformation. In fact, his sword disappears entirely. His reiatsu thickens around him and forms a fleshy substance, a cloak of sorts. His reiatsu is so potent in this form it is capable of causing burns against physical contact. The cloak is in the form of a quadraped with large claws and six tails. Besides this, a skeletal set of bones appears over him, and his head is covered in a large skull, the jaw hanging over the top and bottom halves of his head. He has six tails in this form, each made from his claok of reiatsu instead of bone.
Bankai Abilities:
Name: Augmented Shikai
Description: Saito is still capable of using all of his shikai techniques in Bankai. While in Bankai, they are much stronger then before, though they drain more energy.
Name: Catalyst Wave
Description: By imbuing a specific bone with his reiatsu (this bone must be at least a foot long and half an inch thick), the bone will glow red. He can then use that bone as a catalyst for a kido spell. Basically, this bone turns his kido into homing attacks. In order to fully utilize this technique, he must still be holding the bone as he runs through the incantation.
Name: Privelage of the Ancient
Description: Ths is one of Saito's most powerful techniques. If he has a single bone from a dead creature, he is able to call forth that animal's spirit/hollow form (OOC: It has been proven in both anime and manga that animals can become hollows and spirits) to do his bidding.
Name: Jinzenkinesis
Description: If he has enough energy (for this technique is quite draining), Saito is capable of building Kotsuzui's body out of bone. He is then able to transfer a portion of his spirit's power into the bone, and bring it to life with his zanpakuto's spirit mind, etc. In essence, he can bring his spirit into the real world. Due to the size of Kotsuzui, this is a very devastating attack that should only be used in an emergency.
History/Background:
In the year 744, during the time of The Falling of the Mayan civilization, the one known as Saito Hiroshi died. His life was ended prematurely at the age of 22, a murder on the battlefield. He was a citizen soldier, and was killed in a fight during the middle of an eclipse. His soul was, thankfully, saved by a shinigami before he could be corrupted into a negative soul; Those beings known as Hollow did not rake him as one of theirs. As a spirit in Soul Society, it took him a long time to deal with death. He couldn't get over the fact that he was dead. When it was finally explained to him where he was and who he was (for his memory was, as all spirits' are, lost), he had to get over it. He began wandering the hillsides, looking for answers.
Answers were hard to come by, and even 100 years later, he found none. He still knew nothing of reishi, reiatsu, reiryoka, etc. He did, however, know of Shinigami and their bid to slay the evil hollow that threatened all of humanity and bring the souls back to Rukongai. It was a much different place back in that time. Though the area was still split into 4 quarters and 80 districts each, though it was very different. Back in that time, the shinigami weren't as organized. More hollows roamed the earth then ever, and the fresh Academy was a godsend. There weren't as many spirits roaming back in that day, and Saito was getting lonely. He had no family, for district 30 was literally empty aside from him, and he still spent most of his days roaming.
He began to find himself more adventerous. He enjoed going further and further into this new world of Soul Society. He particularly found the cliffs amazing. They held such strange properties. For instance, in western rukongai, there was a large cliff that held within it a hidden cavern. No others knew about it, and Saito practically moved into it after a few decades. He remained there for most of his after life, too. Digging further into the cliff. In a few hundred years, these caves would become the Maggot's Nest, named after his Zanpakuto's Release Phrase.
At one point, while he was moving supplies from his home to the caves (which required a walk through District 80), he found a young boy being beaten mercilessly by a group of other kids nearly four times his size and twice his age. Apparently, he owed them protection money, or something of the sort. Dropping his belongings on the ground, a nearby tree yielded his weapon. They refused to part ways with the boy, so Saito forced them. Using instinctual fighting knowledge from his time as a soldier, he fended the kids away (their true age was impossible to tell in this strange world, he realized), and even knocked one unconscious. His gratitude did not go unnoticed, for he received a gift from both the boy, and someone unexpected. The boy gave him a loaf of bread (what the other's were trying to take from him), which he deemed Saito's, seeing as he protected it.
The other was his life. From behind, a fifth boy attempted to assassinate him. The cold steel of his knife glinted in the district, before melting. Another figure had emerged from the alleyways, and shot a ball of fire at the boy, disabling both his knife and hand. Forever. The man whom shot the fireball introduced himself as Yamamato, Captain of Squad 1 of the Gotei 13, and instructor at the Academy. Saito was very excited. Yamamato was a kind man, and had seen what Saito could do with a sword. Inviting him to the Academy, Saito signed himself up then and there. He would learn under this Yamamato, and he would protect more then just little boys. He would help defend the world against Hollow, for why would he not want to use amazing powers for something so awesome? Perhaps it was merely the prospect of battle that awoke the want to fight hollow inside of Saito, but it not only awoke it, it fueled it.
The Academy was not what he expected. He expected 24/7 fighting for some reason. Perhaps it was subconscious memory from living the life of a citizen soldier. Instead, it was mostly theory and very little practice. It continued like this, a boring cell of doing book work and being confined in a room. He didn't like that. He was used to nature and doing what he wanted whenever. Being stuck in a class room for three hundred years sucked. It sucked hard. Thankfully though, he was actually learning things. He learned of the existence of Hollow, Shinigami, Reishi, Reiatsu, Reiryoka, and Quincy. Quincy were actually kind of abundant in his time as a trainee in the academy (which was in the year 812), and he even got along with a few of them when he went to earth on the rare occasion they were allowed to accompany their master. He also learned Kido, and when he graduated, he would graduate with very high marks in the field.
Fourty years later, he was finally able to practice Jinzen. After graduating the academy, he was placed in the Thirteenth squad as a seated member, and began to voyage into his inner world. It was there he met Kotsuzui, his inner spirit. He was terrifying. The demonic bone demon was massive, Saito only barely the size of one of his fangs, and he was a brutal monster. He craved only blood, death, destruction, and victory. It was not due to anger, however. Kotsuzui was simply too prideful to allow any form of losing. And if that meant destroying all form of opposition, so be it. Truth be told, Kotsuzui terrified Saito. Most other Shinigami told of their spirits being casual beings, most human-like and some even cuddly. Why was his such a monster?
Nonetheless, Kotsuzui wanted Saito to become more powerful, by any means necessary. He wasn't going to outright give him power, but he would help him in any ways possible. This translated itself into his zanpakuto being finally conjugated. The simple katana was henceforth worn with pride. Around his left hip, the sword was a symbol for him. It was a symbol that he would make something out of this, rather then just let it fly by. He would train these abilities, and hone them so they would help him slay every hollow he met. As far as he was concerned, Hollow were the opposing army, and the opposing army must be slain.
In order to do this, he had to speak with Kotsuzui again. Once in his inner world, the field of bones, Kotsuzui told him how to achieve shikai. It was a dangerous path, and something he would rather not have done. Unfortunately, he had to. In the inner world there was a being, a dinosaur of sorts. This dinosaur had fur on it, and Saito was required to cut the flesh from the creature. That was all the instruction he had. Drawing his zapakuto, he set off to find the beast. It took him three days of soul searching to find the creature. Finally though, he had found it. Attempting to strike it, he found his blade only bounced off. No matter how many times he struck it, the steel only richocheted from the dino's flesh.
And then it attacked. Avoiding the teeth and claws of the winged saurien, he delivered a final blow to the chest. It did not cut, but it did push him back. As his anger and determination to win grew, he noticed a faint, white whisping outline his blade. Rearing his sword back, he gripped the sheath tightly with two hands. As the dinosaur lunged for him, Saito spun quickly and drove the blade up, piercing the flesh of the creature and slitting it from stomach to neck, killing it. As it fell, dead, Saito's sword underwent a wicked transformation. It grew much larger, the blade widening and curving horrificaly. The fur from the dinosaur remained on the hilt, and would stay there forever. The hilt had numerous holes in it, and was quite bare, lacking even a guard. Smirking, he was instantly teleported back to Kotsuzui. Nodding his thanks, Kotsuzui smiled in approval. The creature he had killed, fully healed, appeared on Kotsuzui's tongue, and smiled as well. He then disappeared, and reformed as a fang in Kotsuzui's mouth.
Awakening, he began training his newly achieved shikai with every waking moment. He trained it until his powers were pure, taking nearly 100 years with this training. Every breath was spent in hueco mundo for the end thirty years of this, practicing his techniques against hollow. The hollow stood no chance. Upon his return, he found his membership to squad 13 cancelled. Instead, he was placed in squad 1, Second seat. He was powerful. Very powerful. It didn't take him too long after this to grow to the point he achieved Vice Captain. With his amazing zenjutsu skills, he rivalled a few of the actual captains. It was time, however, for him to speak with Kotsuzui about business once more. It was time to learn Bankai. He would never be able to become a captain himself if he didn't achieve Bankai.
Saito's Jinzen was amazing. He had actually become so proficient in Jinzen he could speak with his spirit telepathically even in a conscious state, and even learn from him that way. Nothing too serious, of course, such as new techniques, but learning new kata and whatnot wasn't out of the question. After meditating for an hour, he had achieved bankai. It wasn't something Kotsuzui had given lightly, and he actually had to convince him to give it to him. That's why it took him an hour. His bankai came in the form of only a release phrase. He had to learn everything of it himself, his spirit would not help him. He said it was too dangerous for him to get involved. If Saito overdid it, as in, if he fought his inner zanpakuto spirit without training, he would die. He did promise to teach him a special technique later on, but for now, he had to train it on his own.
And he did. He honed it with as much skill as he could. His bankai was what propelled him to finally being asked to take up the position as captain. Unfortunately, his spot wasn't just free. He had to defeat someone else. He didn't know who (he spent a lot of time in solitude to train his bankai), but he would fight his hardest. It was finally time to destroy someone on the same power level as him. He was going to enjoy every moment of it.
