The Shinigami of Black and Gold [Open, maximum of 6 people]
Tue Jul 16, 2013 10:23 am
Kyouhai Harukaze Suzumori
Seiretei
July 16, 2413 07:38 AM
It was early morning in the Seiretei, the place where all Shinigami lived while they were in Soul Society. For 7:38 in the morning, the weather was rather nice. It was a warm, clear morning. If anyone was carrying a thermometer at the time, it would have read something in the high 60's or mid 70's in Fahrenheit if they were an American, and in the 20's Celsius if they were from anywhere else in the world. The only clouds in the sky were the high up, far off wispy cirrus clouds that always seemed to be around in Seiretei and Rukongai. Then again, Soul Society was supposed to be a little like Heaven. The weather was almost always perfect here.
But if Soul Society was supposed to be like Heaven, then why had so many hellish things happened over the past 400 years? Back in 2007 and 2008, some fifteen year old kid, for crying out loud, had broken into Soul Society, rescued someone scheduled for execution by Sokyoku, and defeated quite a few Seat Officer and even Captain-class members of the Gotei 13 who were literally centuries older than him. One of them had even been a nobleman from the Kuchiki clan who was supposed to have above-average Reiatsu even if he wasn't a captain. And then, the next thing everyone knew, Central 46 were all killed, and three captains betrayed the Gotei for Hueco Mundo. All of it had gotten complicated, but it turned out well in the end, of course. Still, the results of all this were hellish, in a place said to be like Heaven.
"Nah, Soul Society really ain't like that place the humans call Heaven at all... That would be Iramasha Island..." thought one Shinigami sitting awake in the courtyard of the 7th Division barracks early that morning, warming himself in the orange-red glow of the rising sun even as the rest of the members of his division slept. He looked up as he thought, even though he knew that nobody could see Iramasha Island. It was hundreds of thousands of feet above the Seiretei and might as well have been another dimension just as surely as Hueco Mundo and Earth were. That Shinigami was Kyouhai Harukaze Suzumori. He had been awake the past two hors, completely unable to sleep due to a feeling of nervousness. Kyouhai couldn't explain it, he just had a strange feeling about today.
Then again, anyone like Kyouhai had a good reason to be nervous. Kyouhai was after all, a man with something to hide. He styled himself as just another member of the 7th Division and just another rank and file Shinigami soldier when, in fact, nothing could be further from the truth. Kyouhai was in fact a rather powerful Captain-class Shinigami who almost had the hang of using Bankai to its maximum potential in battle (although he was maybe a few years away from this, a few years are nothing to a 1400 year old spirit like Kyouhai), and who simply suppressed his power. The reason for this was that Kyouhai was very laid-back and relaxed in terms of personality and attitude, and he didn't want a position that would take away that part of him. If he was found to have the level of power that he did, he'd get thrown into some high up position with lots of paperwork, most likely.
After all, the Seventh Division was currently captain-less, and Kyouhai was strong enough to fill the empty spot. "I swear, if I get stuck in that captain spot, imma throw a big fit about it... Captains are practically weighed down with paperwork. I mean the Haori looks hella cool, but it just an't worth it with all that work..." thought Kyouhai. He'd picked up a lot of the vocabulary and style of human tennagers on visits to Earth lately. He'd already seen how a lot of Seated Officers had turned out, especially the ones that always yelled at him for not being a hard worker or whatever. They had no idea how badly it could turn out for them if Kyouhai ever really lost it at them beyond the point of anger. He could probably take a good number of the Seated Officers in his division if the need ever arose. Luckily for them, Kyouhai was loyal to Soul Society, so they'd be fine as long as they never turned traitor.
Presently, Kyouhai got up. He'd done a lot of thinking, and it was starting to hurt his head. A quick look around told the 1400 year old Shinigami that nobody in his Division was awake yet. In that case, Kyouhai decided, he was going to go for a little walk around Seiretei. There would probably be a few people out and about, maybe he would see someone he knew, or he could even make some new friends. Kyouhai strapped his heavy nodachi Zanpaku-to, Kyokuryuu, onto his back and then got up to walk. As Kyouhai walked toward the exit to the 7th Division's barracks, a voice sounded in his head. "What are you up to on this fine morning, Kyouhai?" it asked. The voice was, of course, Kyokuryuu, the spirit behind Kyouhai's Zanpaku-to's power. "Not much Kyokuryuu. But could we talk later if you want to talk? I don't really want to talk to you at the moment." asked Kyouhai. "Sure, its alright." responded Kyokuryuu, who was then silent.
Kyouhai pushed open the doors to the Seventh Division barracks and walked out, closing the doors quietly behind him. Now, Kyouhai walked down the streets of Seiretei, just looking around to see if there was anyone about to talk to. He was bored today, and really hoped that there would be someone to 'kick it with' as he would have said, and that his Zanpaku-to spirit. didn't cause him any embarrassment.

The summer sun had woken the restless Shinigami early, it was almost 8 AM but it was not quite there yet and time had seemed to slow to a crawl and all the while the barracks of the Seireitei were still filled with those who were not so quick to rise but as time went on the warm morning made a blonde haired fellow within the Seireitei shout to the sky "IT'S! TOO! WARM!" this was then followed up by the same gentleman dropping his face down quickly into a cool bucket of water so as to keep himself sane in the seemingly intense heat.
Dansen was not a fan of heat as previously displayed by his actions, he had awoke to find himself much to warm with his clothes sticking to him from the heat of the room causing him to sweat, it had gotten so bad that the blonde haired shinigami had not done up his Shihakusho properly and let the arms and chest of the robe fall to his sides leaving the only thing covering his chest to be the bandaging around his upper torso and right shoulder.
"Ahhhhh! Why can't it be winter, I like winter I can sit inside and read or eat some warm ramen or train through cold endurance...." Dansen thought this to himself as his head was still submerged in the bucket of water. "But summer?! Seriously no matter what I do I end up sweating its nice to get a warm up, but I'm always warm so its just annoying!" The spirit rose from the bucket and took a deep breath as his hair platted to his face only for it to be brushed back by the Shinigami's hands. He had been a bad mood but the dunking of his head into the water had cooled him off a bit, still the heat at the time had been to much for him to handle it made his temperament a bit more charged than usual but he still tried to keep himself from hitting something if only due to the fact it would cause him to get hotter. "Ah I might as well find something to do maybe I can beat the heat through ignoring it..." the spirit rose and threw the water he had onto the grass below him in the center of the barracks hoping it might do the plants more good than it did him.
Dansen moved to set out for something to do when he realized his Zanpakutō was without a holster, he would usually hold it within his right arm inside his Shihakusho but he had no intention of putting it on to wear formally, so instead he chose to wrap the end of the right arm's sleeve into a knot and place his sword within so it would not fall out of place unless he fell, as he stretched himself out the blonde Shinigami made efforts to leave the barracks and out into the Seireitei at large. "Ah when I do nothing I'm hot, when I walk around I'm hotter..." Dansen had been only walking for a few minutes and his complacency had reached higher levels.
The sun beaming down at his was seemingly the worst enemy he had faced, an immortal foe who could not fight simply struggle against to stay conscious. "Damn sun its not even midday yet why are you so warm!" The thoughts of the Shinigami had seemed to get even more jumbled as he sought out a way to beat the heat his Shihakusho's top still hanging by the way-side Dansen for some sort of difference in the many near identical paved roads of the seireitei for something that looked even remotely different to the white walls and white stones beneath him.
Suddenly as he neared the 7th Division's barracks a new occurence had appeared, another person! Suddenly Dansen was happy to know that he was not the only one to have trouble sleeping in such heat, as he neared the other Shinigami he noticed that he was not anyone he had met before, it wasn't unheard of for Shinigami to never meet one another, there were so many of them that the possibility of knowing all the names of every squad member was near enough a herculean task.
As he reached the other spirit Dansen would look to smile under the blazing heat, still sweating all the while but that was par for the course at this point while asking the other man. "H-hey you wouldn't happen to have anything to drink would you? I've been walking for about an hour and I'm starting to feel the heat..." If Dansen had known the time he would have correctly said that he had been walking for 35 minutes, however the heat was getting to him and time seemed to slow with every step it was only a matter of time before he would keel over due to heat stroke or some other ailment dealing with the ever growing warmth but hopefully this Shinigami in front of him would help the blonde haired spirit whose look of hair being frizzed out by the heat as well as not wearing a shirt may not make the man turn his back. The odds where not in the Spirit favor.....

While Kyouhai was sitting in his room in the 7th Division barracks, he thought that he heard someone yelling. His first reaction, of course, was to think "Who is yelling at this time in the morning? They should have some respect for their comrades an fellow Shinigami..." As much as Kyouhai looked much younger, the fact was that he was 1400 years old. Even though he seemed like a chill 25 year old guy most of the time, the fact was that he was nearly one and a half millennia old. As such, he had what one might call a 'grumpy old guy' side to him that sometimes came out, especially at times like now when the old Shinigami was tired. Of course, he quickly blew off the little instance of yelling he'd just heard and returned to being his normal self. "I could have just been imagining things. I did just get up, after all, not to mention I'm 1400 years old and might as well be a crazy old guy." thought Kyouhai.
That, of course, had been around the time when Kyouhai had moved from his room in the 7th Division's barracks to the courtyard outside. He had sat there for quite a while to think about stuff that had happened. Mostly, Kyouhai was thinking about the events of 400 years ago, all of which had been, for the most part, centered around a 15-year-old Substitute Shinigami named Ichigo Kurosaki. Kyouhai thought it was pretty funny that he was thinking about this. After all, you really know you're getting old when you can think back over four centuries and remember it like it was just a few days ago. Especially when you actually liked to sit around and think of stuff you did a whole 400 years ago... Kyouhai thought it was both funny and sad.
After a while of thinking about the events of 400 years ago, Kyouhai had finally decided to get up and go for a walk. Soon after heading out of the 7th Division barracks, he heard someone walking behind him. Of course, he had also felt their Reiatsu long before that. They seemed like a slightly above average rank-and-file Shinigami, the same thing Kyouhai hoped everyone in the Seiretei still thought he was. Now that Kyouhai knew that there was someone else in the general vicinity, he paid extra attention to suppressing his Reiatsu. He had of course, been suppressing it all along, but now he paid extra attention to the task.
Presently, the person behind Kyouhai called out to him. He seemed a little bit affected by the heat. His shirt was off, and the spirit, a young-looking blond-haired Shinigami of another division, appeared to be sweating quite a bit. More than that, he was nearly at the point of collapse from heat stroke or dehydration. Kyouhai would have laughed since he was used to heat and was the kind of guy that wasn't really affected by even serious discomfort anyways. However, Kyouhai was a kind person and instead decided to help the guy in front of him.
The Shinigami had asked Kyouhai if he had anything to drink. Kyouhai, luckily, had a bottle of water with him. He always kept water with him since he knew the importance of staying hydrated. If someone was dehydrated and then they were attacked by a Hollow, for example, they would be unable to fight at their full potential. In that aspect, the blond Shinigami was lucky. Of course, Kyouhai was experienced enough to convert Reishi to water if he so desired, but this would give away his level of strength, so he wouldn't have done it in this case.
"Yeah, man, I got some water on me right now. You can drink some if you want, but please only waterfall when you drink." said Kyouhai as he pulled out a plastic bottle of cool water that was tucked into his obi sash where he would have carried his sword had it not been a huge nodachi that had to be strapped to his back. He threw the bottle to the blond Shinigami, hoping that the man would be able to catch it in his dehydrated state. The guy he was taking to seemed cool, so Kyouhai decided to talk to him a bit more to see what kind of person he was.
"By the way, I'm Kyouhai Suzumori from the 7th Division, but you can just call me 'Kyo' if you want because my name's a bit of a mouthful. That's what I get for being born in Japan in 1013, I guess..." said Kyouhai, trailing off. He mentally slapped himself since letting slip that he was born in 1013 meant that anyone who could do simple math would know that he was 1400 years old, from which they could assume he was more powerful than he was letting on. However, he didn't worry much about it, and continued speaking. "Anyways, what's your name, and what division are you from?" Kyouhai asked of the blond Shinigami.

“AAAAAAAAHHH!!!!!!!!”
From the sky above the two men a girl was falling. Pink hair fluttered around her smooth skinned face as she fell, her brown eyes blinking in confusion. After a moment, still a good five hundred feet in the air, she got over her confusion and started to act. Electricity crackled around her feet as she sped up, moving as fast as a shunpo as she left a trail of electricity behind her, looking like on great big lightning bolt. As she fell she aimed directly at the man who threw his water bottle at the other, making sure her aim was dead on as she crashed in to him, using him to cushion her landing. Hopping up she brushed herself off before looking around. Getting a good look at her surroundings she gasped in surprise.
“Wait, this isn’t Karakura town! Where the heck am I??? How did I end up here, were my calculations that off???”
Looking quite freaked out the little twelve year old looking girl looked up at the man that she hadn’t fallen on top of.
“You, I’ve got a question for you! Where the heck am I? Come on, answer me!”
She stared at him in frustration, a bit of anger mixed in there also. She didn’t like her current situation, having no idea where she was. She wasn’t sure who these people were or whether they would be friendly towards her. Just in case they weren’t friendly she raised her fists defensively ready to fight if necessary. Her presence raced out of her, it was like staring in to the eyes of your worst nightmare, your worst fear. Most untrained people would run from just this, however she wasn’t sure whether these men were trained and could withstand it.

Dansen's quest for hydration seemingly met with success as the one man he had asked for something to quench his thirst just so happened to have a bottle of water with him. The blonde spirit's eyes lit up as he saw what to him was a god-send sent in the form of a plastic container keeping the life-giving liquid within safe and sound. As the other Shinigami threw the bottle the other was quick to grab for it without hesitation, desperation was a good motivator and the moment the water was out of the hands of the gracious man in front of him Dansen was already drinking from the bottle, of course waterfalling it as the other had asked of him the spirit was not one to act unruly to one who had helped him and as the Shinigami took his last glup his eyes turned to the other crying almost comically as his gratitude was clear. "You-you must be God! Buddah! Elvis! Oh thank you for being so gracious.... Ah I can't cry that'll use more of the water!" The blonde Shinigami rubbed his eyes to force the thankful tears back as the other Shinigami made his introduction to the currently shirtless Spirit.
"Kyouhai Suzumori? From 7th division? Well then Kyo its nice to meet ya! I'm Dansen Sukamada from..." Dansen rustled around in what should have been his upper robe seemingly for something before laughing awkwardly. "Hehehe seems I misplaced my current assignment position... But besides that if you want to call me Dan its okay I'm not above nicknames" His cheery mood was near enough infectious, after being rejuvenated from the water he was feeling a lot less sour from the still rising sun. It was then that Dansen noted what Kyo had told him about his age.
"1013? Then...." The young spirit stood thinking for a few minutes almost as if a wheel was turning in his head on the logistics of the man in front of him being born over a thousand years ago, it was then that he pointed to his savior and said. "So that means you're pretty old huh?" As eloquent as usual but still it was the gist that came from the news of the man's age.
Suddenly the scene was rocked by another traumatic event, this one came in the shape of a young pink-haired girl falling directly onto the man in front of Dansen the scene was quite dramatic and for a moment silence fell as the young Shinigami tried to make sense of the situation. He looked at the bottle that Kyo had given him and studied it for a few seconds before blurting out. "Hmmm Is this what its like to be on drugs?" The strange situation made the blonde spirit doubt the reality of what he was seeing only for him to notice that he had drank all the water from Kyo's gracious gift, a face of distress fell upon the Shinigami as he looked to Kyo. "Sorry Kyo-senpai! I'm afraid my thirst defeated my reasoning and I had all of your precious water, please accept my apologies." The way it sounded would make it seem like a joke to an outsider but Dansen was seemingly quite sorry for such a trivial act.
It was then that the new entrant into the Seireitei spoke up, as she looked around she noted that she was not in Karakura Town, the blonde Shinigami looked at her with interest as he made comment on her predicament. "Nope this is the Seireitei not even in the same dimension, could have gotten it worse though so that a small mercy!" It was seemingly a way to cheer the small girl up as she was disturbed by her landing not in the location she had expected. As the girl stood up to ask Dansen a question she made a defensive stance and then... Things kind of got weird in Dansen's vision.
The world would blank in and out of the Seireitei and another seemingly lifeless world nothing but swords and craters in the ground with a figure bloodthirsty and with eyes glowing with rage getting closer to Dansen at an alarming rate. The Shinigami rubbed his eyes to clear his head he was cranky from the heat but his focus was still on the matter at hand. "Man I gotta stop sleeping standing up, how'd I even do that in this heat?" The Shinigami seemingly shrugged off the weird visions he had and looked to the pink-haired girl in front of him he looked to her in a cheerful manner as he tried to placate her. "Hey! Hey! Don't worry we're Shinigami the good guys! Well from one perspective..." He had looked to make the girl comfortable where he was not, this could end poorly...
If there was one thing that Carmine wasn't afraid of, it was hard work. In his mind, waking up early to train was something that needed to be done, which is why he'd dragged himself out of bed at 5 in the morning and gone to one of the training areas. He remembered waking up and staring at the ceiling of the barracks for a short while, before practically falling out of bed. His friend, Taggy, who slept nearby rolled over and examined Carmine as he sluggishly moved about. "Dude...What the hell are you doing? We don't have to report in til at least 10." he said drowsily. Carmine shrugged, adjusting the mask that obscured almost his entire head, save for his eyes. "Goin' out to train. You wanna come with me?" Taggy's answer was to roll over and pull the cover over his head. "Lazy," Carmine muttered, grabbing his Zanpakutô before heading out of the barracks.
His drowsiness quickly evaporated after he started. He'd removed the upper section of his Shihakusho so that his chest and arms were bare, displaying his hardened physique. He'd busied himself for the next few hours hammering away at a training post in the field. The post was wrapped firmly with thick rope, which in the last few hours had gotten frayed by Carmine's blows. He had removed his topmost mask, leaving only a pair of bandannas around his forehead and another that stretched down from the bridge of his nose to his chin, circling the post with practiced ease as he threw out punches. His right fist was raised to his left cheek, his left arm lowered to his waist, as he spun counterclockwise around the post, throwing out quick, precise jabs. Planting his feet, he threw out several jabs, before swaying backwards as if to avoid a blow, then leaning his weight forward as he threw out a chopping right hook that met the post with a resounding thwack. Squaring up in front of the post, he abandoned the jabs, and threw out powerful left right combinations, mixing up straights, hooks, and uppers. He made sure to add in occasional low kicks, before stepping closer to make use of his elbows.
Taking hold of the post in a muay thai style clinch, he threw out knees and elbows, envisioning an imaginary opponent to take all this punishment. Before he could transition to another volley of attacks, a surge of electricity drew his attention. He turned his head slightly, just in time to watch what looked like a stray bolt of lightning right as it seemingly struck the ground. Oddly enough, there was no tremor, as if the bolt had hit something that absorbed it. Frowning, Carmine straightened up and turned fully towards the landing spot. He stared, waiting for the expected plume of smoke from the bolt's landing, but when he didn't see one, he grew suspicious. Scooping up his larger mask, he jammed it on, taking a moment to make sure he could see properly. Snatching up his Shihakusho, he started to put it on but stopped. He was drenched in sweat, not from the heat but from his own exertions. Nobody likes wearing clothes when your sweaty. Draping it instead over his right shoulder, he reached for his Zanpakutô, which he'd left leaning against a tree. He grasped it by the hilt, and received a jolt of electricity, and instinctively he pulled his hand back. He'd had an affinity for the electrical ever since he'd started communicating with his Zanpakutô, but it still came as a surprise to him whenever he touched his Zanpakutô and received a jolt.
It didn't hurt, but it was happening much more frequently. Opting to instead grab it by the sheath with his left hand, jogging over to where the bolt had landed. As he drew nearer, he began to clearly sense a few different reiatsu, three to be exact. The first two were obviously shinigami, neither extraordinarily strong. One seemed somewhat strange to him, but he dismissed the feeling and focused on the third. It was clearly very strong, and clearly not shinigami. As he came into view of the owners of said reiatsu, he spied a pair of shinigami, one as shirtless as he, and a small girl. After examining her closely, he guess that she was a human, but what she was doing there, he could not say. She had struck a fighting pose, her tiny fists raised as if she meant to confront the shinigami surrounding her. He wasn't sure if she had sensed his pressure on arrival, so instead he decided to make himself known. "Interesting," he said aloud, approaching the trio. "What have we here? A human perhaps? What would a human be doing in the Seireitei? he asked, his voice slightly muffled

[[OoC: Posting order here is now: Me, Tina, Dansen, Cardinal. There is still room fore 1 to 2 more people to join here if they want. As usual, they will be added to the posting order in the order in which they joined.]]
Even as Kyouhai threw his water bottle to the blond-haired, thirsty Shinigami who had been standing in front of him, he heard some yelling, and it seemed to be coming out of the sky. Instinctively, he looked up into the sky to see who was yelling. The yelling seemed very much like the sort of thing someone would do if they were falling from somewhere very high. Kyouhai, being kind by nature, didn't want to let whoever was falling smash into the ground and die, so he mostly looked up thinking in terms of saving the falling person, more than out of surprise or anything. By squinting, Kyouhai thought he could barely see the dark shape of a young child falling from the sky. The person was maybe 400 or 500 feet above the ground. "What the hell...?" thought Kyouhai as he stared up into the sky.
But Kyouhai never got a better look at who was falling. Even as he was preparing to do something, maybe arrest the child's fall with a Bakudo 39, Tsuriboshi, which created a sort of net, or something else with a similar effect, the child seemed to turn into a crackling bolt of lightning. A moment later, he felt something smash into his back, knocking him to the ground. Had the lightning just hit him? No, that couldn't be. Other than being a little startled and getting some dust on his Shihakusho, Kyouhai was unharmed. Getting hit by a lightning bolt tended to leave the victim dead. Kyouhai peeled himself off the ground and brushed dust off of his Shihakusho, looking to see who the person falling from the skies of Seiretei had been as he did so. He was a little surprised to see a young, pink-haired girl, most likely a human. "What exactly is a human doing here in Seiretei...?" wondered a now slightly suspicious Kyouhai.
Even as Kyouhai was wondering what this girl was doing in Seiretei, or, indeed, in Soul Society at all, the girl spoke. She seemed to be just as confused about her situation as the Shinigami on the site. She asked something about where she was. She confirmed Kyouhai's belief that she was a human by mentioning that she was from Karakura Town, a town in Japan near Tokyo in the World of the Living with exceptionally high spiritual activity. The girl asked where she was, and said something abut her calculations being off. This was all seeming a bit suspicious to Kyouhai. As he was about to answer the little girl, the blond-haired Shinigami spoke.
The blond-haired Shinigami introduced himself as Dansen, saying that he'd forgotten his cureent Division assignment or something like that. Being as laid-back as he was Kyouhai thought back to the times he'd done stupid stuff when he was new to the Gotei 13. It seemed like he'd get along with Dansen, or Dan, as he said it would be okay to call him, just fine. He did mention the fact that Kyouhai had been born in 1013, but just said he must be pretty old and left it at that, much to Kyouhai's relief. Dansen then thanked Kyouhai for the water, but then said he'd accidentally drank all of it. He acted extremely sad and sorry. It might have been an act, but this didn't matter to Kyouhai. He wasn't angry. A guy like Kyouhai who had been through 1400 years of stuff was rather hard to anger. "It's cool, Dan. I'll just get more later. I can take even heat like this for however long until I get more water. You seemed like you needed that, and I really wasn't thirsty." said Kyouhai. He would have said more, but he was interrupted by the voice of an annoyed young girl.
"You! I've got a question for you! Where the heck am I? Come on, answer me!" was what the girl said. Kyouhai was about to respond when Dansen addressed the young girl. He told her that she was in Seiretei, which, of course, was a completely different dimension from the World of the Living or Karakura Town. Kyouhai then spoke. "As this Shinigami here just said, you're in Seiretei, the fortress of the Gotei 13 here in Soul Society." began Kyouhai. As he started to speak, Kyouhai noticed another Shinigami jogging up and speaking. He pretty much just asked what was going on and why a human was in the Soul Society. Kyouhai turned and nodded, acknowledging the Shinigami. "I was just about to find out what this human was doing here when you showed up, as a matter of fact." said Kyouhai.
Kyouhai turned his attention back to the pink=haired human girl. He didn't show it, but he was a little tense now. His right hand was up pretending to scratch the back of his neck, but it was in fact placed closer to the hilt of the nodachi sheathed across his back. If Kyouhai had learned anything in his 1400 years of time alive and about 1000 years as a Shinigami, it was that the appearance of a spirit had nothing at all to do with how strong they were. This girl could be captain-class for all Kyouhai knew. "You do know, human, that you're technically a ryoka and could be arrested and jailed indefinitely for what is essentially invading the Seiretei?" asked Kyouhai. He paused for effect and to give time for his words to sink in before continuing. "However, you don't seem to be trouble. Maybe you should just explain what you're doing and then we can let you leave... but you're still a ryoka, and that's a crime after all..." said Kyouhai.
Kyouhai thought what to do. He could arrest the girl, but then he'd seem cruel and cold-blooded. If he didn't however, he could get accused by one of those up-tight ultra-loyalists from 6th Division of betraying the Gotei 13... What to do...? Kyouhai decided to see what everyone else did and let the situation play out for a bit before making a decision.

Rachel listened to the men, bursting in to a fit of giggles when the man said she could be jailed indefinitely.
“Jail me indefinitely? More like jail me for a minute tops, and then I disappear from the cell that is still locked and sealed off. Any guards would not see me move a muscle, and yet when they turn around I’m gone. You guys are silly, too silly. Also, one last thing, I’m not human, I’m a…”
Rachel twirled around, smiling happily as she finished her sentence.
“Dream. Now, I’ve got a few questions for you! What is Soul Society? What is the gotei 13? Do you have any cake?”
Then, electricity crackled around her feet, and she pushed off, as fast as a shunpo while leaving a trail of electricity behind her. It was like the bolt of lightning from before, and she used it to jump on to Dansen’s back, wrapping her arms around his neck while her legs dangled behind him.
“Piggy back ride!!! Give me a piggy back ride!!!”
Squirming around behind him, the palm of her hand rippled and an extremely sharp knife appeared from it, seeming to move through her body as if it was liquid. Her legs clamped around Dansen’s midsection as she waved the knife around wildly.
“Give me a piggy back ride now! I want a piggy back ride! Oh, gimme cake also, I want cake! With chocolate frosting… and a frosted flower… yummy yummy!”
The way she was waving the knife was clearly reckless; at any moment she could hit Dansen and easily poke out one of his eyes. She didn’t seem to care though, all she seemed to be able to think about was piggy back rides and cake.

Kyo seemingly was just as surprised as Dansen at the introduction of this new girl into the mix, so Dansen wasn't hallucinating her that was a plus. The downside was that seemingly the girl was quite demanding and both Kyo and the blonde haired spirit were confused at her sudden appearance. The elder Shinigami began questioning the girl for answer while also making clear that she was not to be in the Seireitei, it made her a Ryoka but seemingly the girl did not care much for the circumstances of her current predicament even as Kyo questioned he also forgave Dansen for his small mistake.
"Oh man your awesome for forgiving me! Thanks Kyo." The conversation with the strange girl would then change, it was there that Kyo would begin to make mention that as she entered without permission they could hold her indefinitely the notion seemed off to Dansen who looked to Kyo when he made comment about it. "Huh? Kyo you think there is a need to keep her here I mean she didn't even mean to come here." The yellow-haired spirit would make the point just to be sure if it was really needed but he felt that the girl seemingly didn't mean much harm.
It was the girl that then spoke up she made comment on how her appearance would not be noticed by the guards in the cells as if they turned their back she'd be gone and as she explained why she became very dramatic leading to the big reveal of herself as, a dream? Dansen looked over the girl once more and thought to himself for a few moments before blurting out. "Huh if you're a dream that would explain why you got here..... Actually no it doesn't it just makes you being here even more confusing..." The scene would then be interrupted by another Shinigami making his presence known, he was wearing hooding over his face but his Shihakusho's torso was also hanging loosely at his sides, as the blonde spirit looked to him he thought out loud. "Hmmm never knew this look would get so popular so quick wonder who else will be wearing there robes like this..."
The point aside the dream girl made more demands to the men standing in front of her, what the Soul Society is, what the Gotei 13 was and if there was cake, Dansen felt he could answer most of these questions. "Well the Soul Society is where we are now, the Gotei 13 are who are currently living in the Soul Society and I'm sure there was some cake from the Rukongai in Squad 4's barracks, can't be too sure now, I had some so it could be gone already." The Shinigami seemed to placate the girl's questions, why he answered them seemingly was simple good-heartedness but what he gave wouldn't really give much to help the girl, well except for the location of cake.
Then the girl was gone from Dansen's eyesight and suddenly an extra weight was around Dansen's neck, the girl used the same move she had to get here to jump onto the blonde Shinigami's neck and was forcing a piggyback while choking the young spirit along the way. "Ah...Gack!...Stop!" The girl shouted for cake and piggybacks but as she wrapped her legs around Dansen he would be able to breath a little better. "Ha...Ha.. That's better, okay if you wanted a piggyback you coulda just sai--KNIFE!" The penny dropped as the girl waved the sharp object in front of the Shingami's face seemingly with the reckless abandon of a child.
The blade got closer and closer to Dansen's face, only his movements saved him as the girl riding him seemed to not care less for the person she was currently lying on. As Dansen dodged and weaved from the knife edge he got exceedingly irritated both at the fact he could lose an eye and the fact the with the girl on him the heat from all the struggling made him even more uncomfortable. A seething anger would start to rise from Dansen's body and as the girl chose not to stop her blade finally cut something as strains of Dansen's hair would drop to the floor.
"Enough!" he would grab the dream child's hand as the knife cut into his hand ever so slightly, for those who could see his face it would be unlike the usually cheerful disposition of the Shinigami and instead a face of seeming calm but of clear disapproval. "Firstly...Its too warm to be getting piggyback from strangers don't start giving me a bigger headache than I already have." The blonde spirit would continue in this manner of serious speech as he seemingly lectured the girl. "Secondly... In this kind of weather having chocolate cake is clearly a bad choice it would melt and become unbearably annoying to eat having something like cheesecake in this kind of weather would be more appropriate."
The Shinigami looked up to the girl with a look of clear annoyance and made his last comment to her as the blood currently rolling down from his hand would trickle down onto his cheek. "Lastly....Don't give someone a haircut unless the sincerely ask for it I have enough trouble with this blonde mess without a chunk of it missing.." The look her was giving seemingly screamed 'You can get off now!' he didn't expect the girl to do much but he was to warm to be dealing with her spoiled nature.
