Realm of the Dreamer: Information on Quor Tarai, the Quori, and the plane of dreams

The Quori
What are the Quori: The Quori are a race of beings that originated on the plane of dreams. The first of the Quori appeared approximately 1.5 billion years ago, and slowly started to grow their numbers. However, failed invasions of the material plane that happened around 500,000 years ago and 475,000 years ago have caused them to become almost completely extinct. About ten remain within the plane of dreams, and while it is possible some have survived on the material plane, they would be extremely few in number if they did.Traits of a Quori: Quori are psychic predators, feeding off the psychic energies of other races. Within the dream world, they feed off the energies released when beings dream, any on the material plane would have difficulty surviving though. To counter this, when the Quori came to the material plane they became psychic symbionts, feeding off of their host. Most Quori just continually gnawed at the psyche of their host, skipping to a new host whenever they had completely ravaged them. Other Quori, ones who cared about the people on the material plane, just fed upon the extra psychic energies that their hosts didn't use while giving their host access to a bunch of psychic related abilities. All beings that host a Quori have the following traits:
- does not sleep: The Quori actively heal the host's body, doing all the activities that normally happen during sleep while the host is running around. However, they do have to meditate for one hour every 24 hours in order to clear their minds, otherwise they would be driven insane.
- weak telepathy: The Quori can connect their host with one person to hold a telepathic conversation. They can only talk to one person every 24 hours, and they can not remain connected for over 5 hours. The target must be within 50 miles of the host.
Quori also have their own unique traits as well as a unique weaponized form their host can activate. However, these abilities usually come with one dangerous setback: they require huge amounts of psychic energy, forcing the Quori to start devouring the host's psyche. Thus they aren't usually useful in long drawn out fights.
Note: Quori who are not attempting to keep their host around will actively feed on their psyches, eventually taking complete control of the host. When this happens, their weaponized forms do not have any drawback, with the exception of the amount of energy it takes to maintain.

Quor Tarai
Quor Tarai is the spirit of the plane of dreams. The spirit of a particular plane is meant to be a sort of keeper of the plane, making sure that they laws of the plane are kept. Within the material plane, these laws are most commonly known as the laws of physics, but due to the material plane's special nature, we won't go in to it too much. Back on track, they are also supposed to make sure that the boundaries of different planes are not broken down, keeping order within the overall scheme of things.
Quor Tarai has always been a rather relaxed planar spirit, and this allowed a large group of Quori to take off to the material plane, attempting to collide the planes long ago. This was stopped, and since then Quor Tarai has kept a sharper eye on things, but overall he is still very relaxed.
For the most part, planar spirits have complete control over their own planes of existence. However, due to the special nature of the plane of dreams, there are limitations on this for Quor Tarai. Within dream bubbles he has limited control, unable to kill anyone within. A dreamer (someone from another plane of existence) in a dream bubble cannot leave the bubble, but at most Quor Tarai can kick them out, returning them to where they came. If someone from another plane of existence managed to enter a dream bubble while awake (such as Rachel dragging someone there, or through another gateway), Quor Tarai can not harm them, as they are not within his domain (since their existence is tied to another plane of existence).

Plane of Dreams
The plane of dreams is one of many planes of existence, each with their own traits, laws, and rulers. All planes of existence have encapsulated spaces known as dimensions, along with the dimensional void between them. Similarly, between the planes of existence is the planar void, a place where not even the dimensional void can survive. The dimensions within the plane of dreams are known as dream bubbles, large 'bubbles' of space where people end up when they dream. There is an infinite number of these bubbles throughout the plane of dreams, floating around in the chaotic soup that is the plane of dream's dimensional void.
Unlike other dimensions, there are actually beings that live within the planar void. These creatures are the natives of the plane of dreams, though they are few in number. Only about twenty currently inhabit the plane of dreams, and they are under the strict view of their ruler, Quor Tarai. The reason they can live within the planar void is due in part to their own make up and the plane of dream's chaotic nature. The Quori are made of pure mental energy, nothing more. Combined with the fact that the plane of dreams responds to the mental commands of beings, the Quori are able to keep the dimensional void from destroying them by sending of little mental commands to make it so that they are immune to the substance.
