Jin's Zanpkauto and misc.
Sun Jul 07, 2013 10:35 pm
- Name Of Character: Jin Hoshigawa
- Link To Character Profile: https://www.platinumhearts.net/t9486-jin-hoshigawa-approved-1-5#62752
- Reasons For Upgrading: Having trained, and fought hard with his bankai and ascending in bankai, Jin has mastered his Zanpakutō, and taken it to an entirely different level.
What Are You Upgrading:- Spoiler:
- (Shikai Special Ability):
Passive ability(Juritsu Chi Ryouen; Creates Blood Hounds): This ability has no name, it‘s passive, and Jin never bothered to figure out the name. Nor does it matter within the abilities powers and limitations. Each time the blade makes contact with a source of blood, whether it‘s a cut to the chest, or the smallest cut on the arm. As long as it is caused by the blade in shikai release, the blood spilled will create one blood hound. These blood hounds aid Jin in combat, and they are able to use low level reiatsu burst from their mouth in the shape of fire. These blood hounds are not powerful, and can be defeated by appropriately leveled shinigami. This ability allows five hounds with Jin at one time, and the moment one dies, a new one can be created. A set number of hits to the hounds will however destroy them on the spot, spilling the blood they manifested from onto the ground. The hounds reietsu burst cool down is a single post after it's use.(The characters post, so in total two post.)
Same tier and rank(one rank below) IE. Jin is 1-5, anyone 1-5 or 2-1 - 1 hit
Two ranks below - two hits
Three ranks below - Four hits
Four ranks below - Six hits
Five ranks below - Eight hits
One level and one rank below IE. Jin is 1-5 anyone 3-1 - Twenty hits.
Technique(s):
. [Shikai]
Name: Drip of the Acid Tooth [Shizuku No Suiha]
' [Drip of the Acidic Tooth: DAT is the first attack that Jin discovered when he used his shikai long ago. When there are one or more blood hounds around him, he can forcibly make them disburse into nothing and instead create a blade made of their ‘blood'. This blood blade will attack the enemy and will follow them for a short time. Another trait about this blood is rather unique. When the blood makes contact, it will not pierce the skin but rather if it does make contact with the enemy it will become acidic on contact. The acid will surely get on the enemy because it only becomes an acidic material upon contact with an alien reietsu.
If all five sets of acid enter the blood stream it can knock the enemy unconcious. It doesn't let off a single trace of reietsu making it nearly impossible to get rid of it without enduring it. Sadly, like all skills, there are weaknesses. The attack itself uses a large amount of reietsu; Jin has improved this technique to the point that each hound will disburse at once, and he doesn't need to stand in one spot.
Post Durations: two post
One if all five enter the blood stream.
Cooldown: one post(Also requires blood hounds)
[Shikai]
Name: Blood Dance[Ketsueki Odori]
' [Blood dance is an attack that usually compliments both the passive ability, and aids the second attack, DAT. It does not require a blood hound, or blood at all. By slashing the blade in the air making a star, a glyph appears under Jin. This glyph will pierce Jins feet, and drain him of one to six ounces of Blood. This fuels the attack, and essentially allows Jin to use these "Beams" to attack the enemy. After the initial piercing, in an instant Jin shoots six red beams. These red beams travel at a high speed, however, the last one can follow the opponent as long as Jin focuses his eye contact on them.
This also means if they use shunpo, as long as he follows them it will follow. But the moment his eye contact is broken by someone or something, it will just shoot forward and cannot be redirected. The weakness to this skill isn't too great, but a weakness nonetheless. It requires a lot of reietsu, and can wear Jin out if over used. Each Beam travels separately, attacking at the single spot the enemy stands until the last is reached, in which Jin can control it. Throwing the enemy off greatly. Jin can control how many beams come out, a single one being the least, and five being the maximum amount. If he summons one, he controls that single one. ] '
Post Durations: one post(Technqiue ends at the end of the enemies post)
Cooldown: one post post(Both user post)
Power: It feels like you're skin is going to melt off, and it hits with the strength of a level 30 Hadō with incantation.
• Bankai Description: Eradication. Sacrifice. Blood, and tears. Fear, and with a satanist twist on the way we few our world, the blood slowly pushes itself forward and takes over the mind of those that fall into it's trap. Jin has conquered this and has achieved the all powerful tree of the underworld. is the living embodiment of death. Growing out of the blood from the living, it devours any soul foolish enough to get to close to it.
By calling out the word, 'Bankai', Jin initiates the ritual, and it cannot be stopped once started. Turning his blade on himself, Jin stabs himself in the gut, almost making it seem like he has committed suicide. However, the instant the blade penetrates his torso, and exits the other side a pair of blood wings erupt out of his upper back. As the blood splatters across the ground, a small tree stub appears. Upon sucking in the blood, the tree quickly erupts into a full blown tree. The thick bark, and trunk of the tree seamlessly made from a deathly black color. The branches almost crippled over with red leaves erupting from the ends, and sides. The tree in itself is wider, than it is tall. With a height of thirty feet, and a width of fifty feet, the tree steadily grows. However, the roots are the true astonishment. They have about a 600 foot radius, and grow as well at the scent of blood.
Each branch also gives itself the fruit of death, or so it's victims would surely call it. these fruit are far from natural looking, nor can a normal human being choke down just what these branches bear. these fruit all resemble the characteristics of every single person that Jin has ever cut with his blade. Each fruit becoming more and more like the person the more Jin has caused them pain, eventually housing their 'soul'. This is to remind Jin of what he has done, and what he has had to deal with over the past years.
What of the blade that Jin stabbed himself with, you ask? Simple, within the confines of his body, the blade manifests into a new, more devilish blade. This blade resembles a large, rigid knife meant to cut and snare meat, causing internal and external bleeding. This new blade does not cause Jin injury, but shall cause him to bleed at the hilt and his blade is drenched in his blood, but never seems to drip, or rid itself of the crimson liquid. There are a total of twenty fruit on the Tree of Death each time it is resurrected.[/strike]
[strike]• Bankai Abilities: Bankai Special Ability:
Elemental Immunity/ Resistance
This doesn't affect Jin in the sense for his body, or his weapons, but instead it affects his tree and the roots. Having mastered his bankai to a whole new level, Jin has learned how to coat the tree, and the protect it against most elements such as lightning, fire, and ice. The roots are so far spread earth will probably never uproot it, and that also applies to wind.
The resistance keeps Jin's tree from burning, set aflame, or being completely frozen. The flame can't catch the bark aflame because of the reiatsu that coats it keeping the flame from catching, the iron/steel properties to the bark keep the lightning from piercing the bark, and the blood from within the bark and roots from freezing.
Everything done to the tree is within a tier system. And each resistance will be listed below.
-2 levels: Complete and utter immunity
-1 level: 90% immunity to elements
Same level: 70% immunity
+4 sub tiers: 50% immunity
+1.2 level/sub tier: 20% immunity
Previous skills
In Bankai, Jin can use Blood dance, the attack is slightly increased, and the beams can now zig zag and follow the opponent on their own. These will not last forever, and will cease to be after Forty seconds(Two post). Each Beam in Bankai is equivalent to a Cero, and if all five hit at once it is equal to that of a Gran Rey Cero. Jin can also use the dogs in bankai, each necessary hit is doubled.
[Bankai]
Name: Enhanced: Drip of the Acid Tooth [Shizuku No Suiha]
DOT's sword no longer turns to an acid, but instead turns to a toxin. This toxin is a combination of the blood and Jin's reiatsu. This toxin, if in the blood stream, will start as a series of symptoms. These symptoms will start to worsen as time goes on. (Listed below) DOT can now also pierce the enemy because of the increased density to Jin's reiatsu. IF the blade touches an object and if it's not completely blocked, the remaining toxin will splash outward, possibly getting on whatever is in it's path.
Post one: Fatigue.
Post two: Pain on the inside
Post three: Tissue starts to erode.
Post four: Enemies can fall unconcious.
If the enemy is the same rank, but has a higher willpower than Jin, they can ignore the last two symptoms. If they're a higher rank than Jin but lower or same will power, they can ignore the last two. If they're both a higher rank and will power, the attack won't have an effect but instead will just seem like a minor cold.
Miasma - Passive
Finally the tree itself has one other passive ability. Upon taking in Jin's blood, the leaves produce a miasma that doesn't allow the targets cuts to clot, and thus decreasing the amount of time needed to collect the enemies blood. The gas that is produced rushes out thirty feet from the start of the branches per post, afterward dissipating into nothingness, and starting all over again.
. [Bankai]
Name: Seeds of the Hell Tree
' The very first attack granted to Jin, and equally the weakest, but most deceiving, of the lot. This attack is more like a passive attack that grows steadily over time. Each time Jin swings his sword, whether it's at the enemy, or for what ever reason he has for swinging his Bankai's blade, a spray of droplets of blood flies off of the tip and the moment the blood touches the enemy, a small group of red vines grow out of the blood and will try and ensnare the target within it's grasp. These vines goals are simple; make the victim bleed. The moment the grand tree senses the targets blood, it's root shall spread toward the vines and fuse together. With the vines trying to keep the target still. These newly formed roots are hard as iron, with a new blood lust that none can compare too. Gripping the enemy with a tight grip, the tree will pierce the target and begin to suck the blood from the victim, slowly but surely killing them if they cannot get away from the living deathtrap.
Posting time-line
Post one: Blood lands and vines grow,Vines begin to lengthen, Vines intertwine and leaves grow
Post two: The vines sense blood in the target and grow thorns long and deep and continue to lengthen searching for the ground.
Post three: Blood drips to the ground and the vines are long enough to attach to the ground.
Post 3+: If the target stays within a twenty foot radius of their last position(last post)the vines will take root and combine with the tree's roots that were in pursuit and combine becoming Iron hard. This will cause any strength needed to double.
After taking root: If the target does not get free by ripping the vines off, which incidentally causes more blood to fall, within a four post count they will be completely drained of blood. '
Post Durations: 1 - 4+
Cooldown: As many enemies are within range.
Root resistance: The base strength required is about 30% of your maximum strength. This is because the roots are coated with Jin's reiryoku. Now, every four ranks that a person is below Jin, it doubles. If the enemy is two tiers, and two ranks below Jin, it can't be broken. Each post that goes by adds aditional resistance to the roots. Each post adds 1.3 times the strength needed. So 30% times 1.3 is 39%, then 50%, then 65%, then 84%, and finally, after five post, the roots take all of your strength and concentration to break. By that point though the vines are spread quite far.
If the enemy is of higher rank than Jin, deduct 15% from each post. If the enemy is one full tier above Jin, Triple the post count necessary for the roots to need 100% strength to remove.
[Bankai]
Name: Vines of the damned.
Jin has finally unlocked all of his bankais abilities, as well as his Zanpakutō. Now any time Jin makes contact with the tree, he can place his reiatsu inside and by doing so he use the blood that is coursing through the tree to strike out of the branches, and roots to attack any enemy that is nearby. This is a defense mechanism, and can only be used while he makes contact with the tree. This whips are able to pierce the enemy easily, and if each whip pierces them, they will atempt to tie the enemy to the tree, sliding them down to the base of the tree almost like a sacrifice. Jin must keep contact with the tree to keep the enemy tied down, and if they're strong enough (Higher focus than Jin or higher tier/rank) they can break free if they exert enough energy. The wounds however will stay unless they can manage to escape the miasma.
Cooldown: None, Jin must hold the tree.
. [Bankai]
Name: Fruit of the Lacerated
' Beaming with fruit, these things aren't just for show. These sad, depressing looking pounds of blood have a use. Upon burying these little suckers, and fertilizing them with his own blood, with a short time a zombie replica of the fruit itself will rise from the ground. These zombie replicas share a very faint resemblance to the person the fruit was made after. These Zombie like creatures are high in speed, sprinting at all times like a human, these creatures have a single goal; Spill blood. They can only be taken down by decapitation or removal of all limbs.
Next, by biting into and eating the fruit, Jin's lost blood is replenished. This will slowly heal any wounds that he has by clotting the blood and then replenishing it. This cannot be used to much because the blood is reietsu deprived and the blood is not the freshest, nor is it his. Last but not least, the final effect that these fruit endow for Jin. By cutting the fruit, and spilling the blood upon the blade, it breaks apart into a whip like object with ridges on the end of each link used to cut into the enemy. This however does not spray blood around for Jin to use. The fruit whip will last two of the users post. This whip can reach a maximum of Twenty feet. A total of five fruit can be used to create zombies.'
Post Durations: Zombies: Until destroyed
Eaten fruit: instant
Lacing blade with blood: three post
Cooldown: Zombies: Instantly grow
Eaten fruit: Can be done once
Lacing blade with blood: Once every two post(All users post)
[Bankai]
Name: Blossum of the End of Life- [Zetsumei no Hana]
' The ultimate technique in Jin's arsenal, and easily the hardest to accomplish. this attack could easily end the battle within seconds of it completing itself. Each time the target is cut, or injured, a fruit begins to blossom and form within the branches on the tree. The actual positioning of the fruit is random each and every time that Bankai is released. This fruit holds the target, in essence, and almost like a voodoo doll, it can cause the target immense pain, or save them from a long, and distraught battle. This fruit, if in Jin's hands, grants him the ability to cut the opponent, rip them, put them through so much pain that they may go clinically insane. If he eats the fruit? He could literally make it feel like their soul were being ripped from their body, leaving them broken, and lost. Alive, but possibly so lost their life will no longer hold meaning. However, in the hands of the target, they can replenish themselves with the blood that they lost, because it is in essence their blood. Jin can now sense his own fruit, and can seek it out.
Each single slash causes .45 pints of blood to fall to the ground.
Each single post that the target bleeds on forces .2 pints to fall to the ground.
There is a drawback to this skill though, and that is the same thing the target has to worry about, that makes Jin so much more inclined to get to it before the enemy. If they get to the fruit, and devourer it, they not only get a replenished blood infusion, but they essentially end Jin's Bankai on the spot. Jin's fruit automatically starts when his Bankai begins, because of ripping the blade from his gut to finish the transition from shikai to bankai. With a beat like a heart when finished, these fruit stand out more than the still, face-full fruit that the branches bear regularly. Once each enemy fruit has been completed, they will beam bright red.
Fruit to finish: Seven full on hits will cause enough blood. It requires 3 pints to fill the fruit. If for 5 post the target bleeds, they will have lost one pint of blood '
Post Durations: instant effect
Cooldown: This can only be used once per enemy for one enemy has one fruit.)
[Bankai]
Name: Saishuu no Hana [The Final Blossom]
Range: 400 meters
Type: Offensive
Description:
Jin has completely thrown away all of his supplementary moves, the miasma, and the ability to use Bankai for the rest of the battle, when activating this technique. This is, in essence, his true final move, as the name implies The final Blossom.
Upon activation, Jin leaps to the center of the tree and stabs his sword into the middle of the base. Upon doing so, the tree takes in all of the blood from the blade, and the fruit that have grown from the branches. The blood like leaves that grew from the tree have also shriveled up to this point and have fallen off. The tree at this point has taken in all the excess blood that is not already coursing through it's trunk and within a matter of seconds the tree starts to rapidly expand.
The roots that have covered a large portion of the battle field grow as well, uprooting the ground and tearing the battle field asunder. The tree has now grown to about seventy feet in height, and one-hundred feet in width and diameter. Jin at this point has already released the blade, but instead places his palm on the hilt. With one final surge of reietsu into the blade, it activates the technique into it's final stage. The tree then explodes, covering the one-hundred feet with tree bark and blood. However, this is not where it ends.
Each piece of bark upon making contact with a foreign object (a person, the ground, a stick, a rat, or even a small boy) will proceed to explode. With each explosion that touches more, and more bark, the explosion continues and a mass chain explosion ensues. Jin uses his blood wings to fly above the explosion, but can still be caught in the mayhem.
Each explosion is equivalent to a Master Kidō user casting a level 60 Kidō with incantation. The closer to the base of the tree, the more likely you'll be caught by the blast.
Pain Endurance to master
Zanjutsu to master.

I don't mind a review, to show me if I need to change anything, if it's too op, or if I've done something wrong; however, I'm not really applying for this yet. I don't feel like Jin has earned this, nor do I want this yet. I was going to wait until I had a few fights with some captains and made my way to a higher tier.
That being said....if you think it's good enough, who am I to impose?

«MOVING THIS INTO THE ARCHIVES»
Seeing that I haven't seen Jin active, nor has he really done anything to the app, I'm gonna go ahead and clear this out by putting it in archives.
