• Appearance Description: Keiri is of an athletic build, her muscle structure being very apparent and well defined. The young woman's skin is dark caramel in color and smooth with a fine complexion. Keiri stands at about 5'1" and weighs just over 102 lbs. Keiri has a volutious figure, and often wears clothing that accentuates the natural curvature of her body. Keiri also has long dark hair, almost midnight black, that goes down past her shoulders. Her eyes are dark red and soothing at times, if she is in a good mood. Keiri's attire is usually comprised of form fitting under garments and loose fitting outer clothing. Although fond of wearing the regular shinigami attire, she also likes to dress in more plain clothing, disliking the thought of flaunting a status that she doesn't have or deserve.

• Personality: Keiri is a simple personality. A young woman who hasn't quite figured out who she is yet, and as such, has a tendency to act differently almost all the time, from one day to the next. Often, however, Keiri is very polite to people, respectful of her elders, respectful of duty and the chain of command, and is somewhat shy around attractive men (and sometimes women). Keiri is fond of improving herself physically and mentally at an almost constant rate, and is often either training, studying, or relaxing so she can do the other two more. Keiri has a bit of a fire in her belly, to the point that when she becomes offended she will react aggressively if not violently. While not necessarily violent in nature, she has certain buttons that shouldn't be pressed.

Keiri enjoys conversation with just about anyone, and likes to learn things about people. Whether it is out of shear curiosity, or in an attempt to learn something about them that can be deemed important in some way. Keiri boasts a fiercely competitive nature, to the point that almost anything can be made into a contest or competition of some sort. This is sometimes hidden to try and maintain a somewhat "normal" exterior, as her occasionally crazy personality has caused some people to dislike her, even if only slightly. Keiri develops attachments quickly, and cannot stand it when those attachments are degraded or broken. She considers friendship and bonds to be incredibly important. Finally, Keiri is also fiercely protective of her comrades, but still possesses a strong sense of honor enough not to interfere when it is required.

• History: Keiri was born in Tokyo, Japan to a pair of wealthy parents, both big business owners who married only for wealth. As a young child, Keiri was well known in her prestigious school, as virtually all of her classmates were. They would constantly talk about their wealth and speak down to the poorer children, and it quickly drove Keiri away from them. Her home life wasn't much better, being raised almost entirely by servants, or raising herself when her parents didn't approve of spending the money on raising her. From about eight years old, Keiri virtually raised herself, learning from a very young age to do household chores and to cook to take care of herself. As time went on and Keiri grew older, she began to shun her parents and the other wealthier people, and even developed a sort of self hate for her situation in life. Not because she was uncomfortable and struggling, but because she was comfortable and never went without. It was a strange ideal to despise that she had been given so much when others had been given nothing, but it felt right to her.

At the age of 12, Keiri began spending time with the poorer children, and even began attending a public school, hiding her true identity to get away from the lavish life style she had been living. Keiri was already incredibly dependant at this age, which made her a bit of a sister figure to many of her classmates. To blend in with her peers, Keiri would shop only at "lower end" stores and wear plain clothing. Keiri also came of age a little sooner than many of her peers, and began to develop quickly, making her a small source of envy from some of her peers. As time went on, this number grew as more and more was discovered about who she really was, until finally the other students discovered the truth. Many of them were insulted by the hidden truth, and turned their backs on her. Many others began to kiss up to her, hoping to get money and material possessions from her, but to no avail. This led Keiri to despise losing her friends, and caused her to become even more alone than she had been when she were younger.

At the age of 18, Keiri had managed to make some more friends, most of which were of the middle or poorer classes, still strongly preffering their company. She was fortunate enough for many of them not to mind her background, and very few of them ever asked for anything from her. However, there were still days she would bring in fancy home-made lunches for her best friends, and they were always very appreciative. As the year progressed, Keiri grew ever closer graduating and finally setting out completely on her own, and she was adoring her life. For the first time her parents were actually beginning to pay attention to her, and were considering retiring within the next few years so they could spend a little time with her for once. Keiri's friends were genuine and did all they could to keep her happy. Until one evening, during a routine drive down town, her car was stopped by a man who appeared to be wounded. Being the person to care about people, Keiri blindly got out of the car to help. The man turned out to be a criminal, who robbed her. Upon discovering who she was from her I.D. he decided it'd be better to take her ransom. So, at gun point, he put her in the car, and made her drive to an abandoned warehouse. While the man talked to her parents, demanding ransom, Keiri attempted to sneak away. During this attempt, the man grabbed her, and a struggle ensued. During the struggle, the man shot her, and ran away leaving her for dead with a gunshot wound. Keiri lay there on the cold ground slowly breathing her last breath. Keiri realized that even with her loving friends and her parents, she was still alone. She was going to die alone. Surely enough, after no more than a few minutes, she died.

Keiri, upon awakening in the Soul Society, had very little memory of her prior life before hand. However, many obvious emotions remained, including her distaste of people who flaunt their wealth and status. Additionally, she was still very kind to people, although a little more lost and ditzy than before. Upon discovering that she has the apptitude for being a Shinigami, she was granted access into the Shinigami Academy as a new student. For the time being, Keiri still knows little of the Seireitei, and knows even less of the Soul Reapers themselves. However, Keiri was very fond of everything she heard and learned about them. As Keiri moved into her first weeks, she did her best to make friends and get along with everyone, but sometimes had a hard time, just like she did in her previous life. Keiri has attempted to remember the identity of the Soul Repear that helped her reach the Soul Society, but has thus far been unable to. Whether to thank them or to just be friends with them, she isn't really sure. Keiri is now heading into her future, running headlong and recklessly into her daily life as an up-and-coming Shinigami.
