Bloodless Crimes[Lio/No Maim/No Death] Empty Bloodless Crimes[Lio/No Maim/No Death]

"What do you mean I have to go to the city? I have paper work due, and like twenty recruits to kick into shape...Damn it all."

Ever since Jin had been recruited to take the spot of the Vice-Captain seat of the seventh Division he was getting nothing but the worst assignments. He had to do all the paperwork, solve internal issues within the seireitei, train some recruits into thinking they were actually worth a shit, and now this. The city of Karakura had been safe for some time, or so he thought. There had been some reports of strange things happening to the humans within the city. Offers of sex, and even some of them losing blood from marks left on their skin. What's even more strange are the fact that these same marks were left on some dead bodies, and that got Jin to thinking. Were these Isolated attacks on some random, poor saps, or were these planned attacks? But then why kill some, and let others live? Was it something that would eventually take over or was it something that just happened in the moment?

Oh no, you're not actually excited about this now...are you? Zetsumei asked as Jin's lips curled into a wide grin. He placed both hands on the table in front of him as he pushed himself up. This was interesting to say the least, and it could really let Jin test his detective skills. He had been reading up on the famous detective Sherlock Holmes, and suddenly got a weird obsession with solving crimes, and finding whoever were behind these heinous attacks. Jin straightened out his shinigami uniform, tightened his Vice-Captain badge, and took long, proud strides toward the front of the barracks. His voice rang loudly so the entire barracks could hear him.
"Okay. I was told to go to the human world to investigate some very strange happenings." His eyes wondered for a moment, making sure to keep close eye-contact with every single one of the division members in that room. "If I'm not back within two days, let everyone know. I'll make up reports as I go. Everyone understand."

Jin didn't even give them a chance to nod, or speak before he started to walk out of the opened doors. He shunpoed his way to the gates, and headed to his destination in the next world over.

The next day...

Jin hadn't found anything for the entire day and was working on his second. It almost seemed like it was a one time attack, but Jin decided that maybe a more reclusive part of the city was what he needed to move this investigation forward. He continued to leap from building top to building top, from star lit sky to the murky darkness below. He didn't know what to expect; maybe there was just some giant fetish going on, or maybe there was something super-natural at work here. Oh god he hoped for the latter. He finally stopped dead in his tracks as he looked up at the sky. No strange reiatsu, no strange attacks. What was he looking for? Would it ever show it's nasty head?

"This investigation stinks..."

Isn't this like finding a jack rabbit eating you favorite cat

The scene that lye bellow wasn't one normal saw, blood tinging the ground in a violet red under the moons rays. Jin who stood upon the rooftop over this astounding body would be able to see if he simply looked down a man wearing a top hat comfortably lying back on his make shift little throne. What was this made of ... corpses. Yes this man had accumulated quite a problematic scene here this of course wasn't his dinner like most may assume this was something very different. Hat rose up offering a little bow to the man above him his cane in hand, he may be a murderous derelict but he must remain a gentleman. Hat stood open this seeming dog pile a brimming smile on his blood covered face his eyes almost glaring in the moonlight as he took a few steps forward and seemingly within a blink of an eye dissipated from sight.

now what investigation would you be concerned with my boy? it wouldn't involve that menacingly little lady down the street always yelling at her cats, because if so you may go home I've dealt with that minor situation.

The voice came not from where the boy looked but behind him. This man had menacingly transported from one point to another within seconds but that my friends wasn't even the worrying part. For now the man not only was behind Jin but also stood upside down his feet seeming to grasp onto the air as he spun his cane looking down upon the vice captain. Hat however would not await a reply and as he threw his hand swaying in front of his own face the attack was in motion. Without a seconds notice it seemed like air would launch forth to slice Jins tors apart, but of course this wasn't the wind, you see Hat was a man of many talents and pulling wires was one of them ... literally. These near invisible tiny titanium wires lunged forth with incredible pace able to cut through most things in their path and its main target was now Jin. In the same motion he'd let his body drop to the ground twirling as to fall onto his feet and launch into a run. as he got close to the man in front of him he let his opposite hand to that controlling these wires slide back on his cane so he only held the very end and thus brought it with a small amount of brute force to strike across the face of Jin if the man didn't react quickly enough.

Such a lovely night my boy, i may have to pull your eyes from your sockets to see if the nostalgia is just mine or if the shine is in your vision as well

Bloodless Crimes[Lio/No Maim/No Death] Empty Re: Bloodless Crimes[Lio/No Maim/No Death]

And still nothing turned up; it had been thirty-two hours since he started his investigation and nothing turned up except for more bodies. Death, or not, and fear with talk about...vampires, monsters, ghouls of the night. Jin scoffed at the idea that there could be any such thing, which in hind-sight, to him, is a bit hypocritical; Mostly because he's a ghost...who can kick someones ass. However despite his failure up until this point, everything that he could possibly hope for, and fear for would all come crashing down on him in a single moment. He felt a sudden surge in reiatsu, but only noticed it for a moment come from below. Then impressively it had vanished, only to reappear...behind him? That's when he could hear it, the voice from someone else. Jin quickly turned around, unsheathing his blade as his eyes met the other mans. They seemed like...darkness incarnate. Like something had gone it and ripped the light out; it was...glorious. Jin kept his blade up with one hand gently resting on his sheath while the other firmly held his blade toward the man. And as he prepared for battle Jin's deductive mind had already kicked into hyper drive. This could be the man he was looking for, but WHAT was this man? He didn't feel familiar; no hollow, shinigami, quincy or even human traces left. WAs this man devoid of soul entirely?

"Well, you see good sir, that's exac-"

But before Jin could even finish his sentence the other man waved his wand, staff, cane, or whatever the hell it was, around and just before his swooshed his hand through the air. From the beginning that this man had started to speak Jin was going through everything he had read in the reports. What was rumored, what he had found, and what others have seen. Even the wild imaginings of the humans, the vampire stories, were starting to seem more appropriate than anything he had ever seen before; anything he had even considered at this point. But that didn't matter any more, and finding out what he was up to what his plan now. So, why did he wave his hand in front of him like that, just after waving his cane around? He certainly had some reiatasu, that much was certain but his energies seemed different, and it certainly seemed like an attack, but Jin didn't feel like he had noticed anything different in the wind, or the air itself. Jin curled his lip in as his hand that laid on his sheath moved more quickly than it had ever done so before. Then taking a step back and tossing his sheath toward the man Jin noticed something strange.

They were shredded? Yes, his sheath was completely torn asunder, and that was all it took for Jin to realize that he needed to move. But, how could he deal with this? What was it? Blades? No, too inaccurate and unreliable. He had already ruled out air or wind, so what....wait. Wires? Could it have been wires? The thought was enticing for sure, but he had no time to applaud the mans abilities. No, Jin needed to react and fast. This man was coming in for another strike, and so with quick reflexes, and an aptitude for weaponry, Jin brought his blade up to knock the mans cane away. He wasn't about to take one to the face for anyone. Immetaidely taking a step back, and placing his arm out, the words that followed would be only the beginning of his counter attack.
"Bakudo 21 - Sekienton" The smoke that followed wasn't supposed to be anything but a distraction, just allowing him to activate his next Kidō. Something that would actually help him bring some sense to this madness. "Bakudo 26 - Kyokko" Then, by bending the light from the moon above, and the lights bellow, Jin had hid himself from sight; not just from the eye though, but also from reiatsu detection. He would have to break his cover once he had in position, as he needed to take this man in for questioning.

Shunpoing and appearing above the man, Jin gathered the necessary energies to his palm, and moved it in a triangle formation. Surely this man would have noticed him by now, but Jin had to try and subdue him.
"Bakudo 30 - Shitotsu Sansen" The beak piercing triple beam would be enough to hold him, if not but for a moment to get some information, if it landed. This man has showed some tremendous speed, and if Jin wanted to make this encounter out alive, then he needed to stay on his toes. But first things first. Even if the attack didn't land, Jin had to ask... "Just what are you? I don't sense anything familiar from you, and I've been around for quite some time now. Color me curious if for nothing else than curiosities sake"
