..What is it about this form that feels so comfortable..?
The Doctor wondered to himself, his cigarette coming out of his mouth for a moment. The "cigarette", or so it appeared to be, was a definite gold in color; in fact, material analysis of it would discover that it truly was gold, madeo f a ground up gold dust that was intricately refined together, which he had lit and was now breathing in and out like a cigarette, the smoke of which left his mouth in a blue and gold color. "I wonder what there is to learn today~?" He mutters to himself, as he walked off the wall, smiling. He was in the middle of a small town not far from Karakura, just a short distance away from the forest. "This is a grave mistake…" He muttered to himself, his white labcoat billowing about in the wind as he looked around himself, the scythe in his right hand coming off the ground as he held it at his side, the large bolt on his head shifting with the rest of his skull as he looked all around.
"What is there here…? What is there here…?" He muttered to himself, his eyes darting all about the place, chuckling softly as he did so. "What can I learn..? What can I… Dissect…?" He asked the air before him, his voice little more than a hoarse whisper, his eyes flashing from behind his glasses as he looked about, the stitches that covered his body and face a strange culmination of appearance as at last he stopped, smiling as he turned his head. "There… I felt it… Hello…?" He asked the empty air to his right side, stopping in the middle of the empty town plaza. There was a strange smell in the air, almost metallic, and all over the ground there was what looked like spilled dark red paint, although there were no other paint buckets or… containers that could have claimed ownership of the liquid.
He looked emotionlessly at the paint, his eyes not even blinking as he continued to stare to his side. The power of Mu, his Ziamichi Spirit, was what helped his detection skills in being nearly unparalleled, and he was certain that he had felt something in that general direction. If nothing revealed itself, he knew he would have to go on a hunt for it, because just for a second, whatever it was had piqued his curiosity- and to not pursue that would not do himself justice. However, it would quickly become apparent to any other observer that there was something else wrong here, something that the Doctor known as Hebi simply was not seeing. It was a fact, and this fact was the other utterly strange thing about the place - There was no other living soul in the entire place.

For Science?
Glazed, coal black eyes; looking at nothing, and yet seeing all. Humanity seemed to be robbed of this pair of dark orbs, with no pupils nor irises nor sclera visible, leaving behind only a void that shone like a marble. Unblinking, unmoving, and yet more alive than any eye has ever been—Nozomi's Omnidou caught sight of the mysterious stranger. She took in his appearance within the instant; lightweight, emaciated, genetically male to list the very average bullet points describing this one. However, this stranger was more than ordinary, presented in an unseemly form the woman had not quite yet seen before. By first glance, it would appear that the nonhuman was actually a hybrid of both man and snake, resulting from a rather messy experiment. The end result was not pretty, and in the woman's opinion herself not perfected. She was also left questioning the practicality of such a transformation, or if this one was not in a sane state of mind. Judging by the makeshift white coat he wore that was somewhere between a labcoat and a doctor's, the profiling was too easy to form. Nozomi's best guess at the first instant of sighting was to assume he was a mad man.
Further observation of the situation would only prove this beyond a doubt: As the blue-haired woman continued on her slow stroll around the outskirts of the Karakura area, her dominion of sight would encompass the entirety of the town the stranger was present in, and noticing what has been wrought in the once lively place. Hundreds of corpses remained in the boundaries of the town, yet their fate had been tampered and distorted by the man in the white coat. Some were disfigured, some unrecognizable, all robbed of life by a form of dissection—one would assume, by the only living soul present at the scene of the crime. The scythe in that man's hand now made more sense, and was probably his tool of preference. Still, what had been done in that town was no worse than certain undertakings Nozomi herself had carried out, but the difference between the two was the cleanliness with which they did it. The mess she now observed from afar was a horror show normal people had nightmares about. She was loath of the sloppiness displayed.
Still, averse as she was, she continued her trek toward the intriguing site. She watched as he muttered away to himself, no longer seeming to be working on anything more. Despite no definite evidence, it was incredibly difficult to imagine the stranger innocent of this mass slaughter. She moved in like a shadow, using her own brand of technology to preserve her invisibility, shrouding her signature. As she did, her dark energy would sneak along the ground tentatively infecting the area like a slow wave. It reached out towards the forest especially, wrapping around the wildlife and nature with ethereal claws despite the great distance. In a way, the influence Nozomi was now projecting could be seen as more monstrous than the massacre displayed just before her. With a wave of her dark-sleeved arm, she rooted the Onikagahi energy into formerly innocent wildlife, causing a disturbance in the flow of spiritual energy. It was quite far, but the animals of the forest were screeching in pain as it happened, before being engulfed in silence.
The false doctor shifted in confusion several minutes later; what he was sensing unknown to the new stalker. Whatever form of premonition he possessed was quite accurate, as a form of eerieness would settle on the small town. It took some time, but after the man had uttered 'Hello', a young woman would appear from around the corner dressed in her typical black cloak. There they were, the coal black eyes as they stared and didn't stare at the coat-clad man at the center of this chaos. But one good look was all that would be had; the darkness would shrink away into the edges of her eyes, leaving behind what was considered normal. Red eyes, black pupils, and a white sclera, focusing forward. She then craned her head, scanning the area around to observe the dead bodies she had spotted before. A moment of awkward silence stalled the atmosphere, but Nozomi's words were chosen anon, an emotionless voice used to illustrate them.
"So, what exactly did you learn today?" she asked, tilting her head.

"I learned... That one of my hypothesis... was correct." He told her simply, as his body began to turn itself, staring back into the black eyes with an absolutely unpredictable gaze within his eyes. "It was that wherever a massacre occurs... appears the new opportunity to learn something..." He muttered, bringing his right hand up to the bolt in his head, resting his hand there for a moment, the smoke rising from his cigarette as he paused for a moment, before brandishing the scythe at his side. "And you. You are a new specimen..." He told her simply, his eyes fixed on her own, his eyes that were reading every part of her. Not just seeing, but reading, trying to comprehend, eyes that said that there were thousands of thoughts buzzing through hsi mind simultaneously, the thought processes that the Doctor performed coursing through his mind as he spun the sword around in one hand. "Now the question is... In what way hall the information be gathered...?" He muttered to himself, gazing up at the sky. "Hopefully much... after all, it's not often that one with no emotions in their vioce comes along. It's different than the faking of emotion... Unless it's in itself a fake.. Hmm... I'll have to think more about that..." He muttered to himself, his right hand reaching up to his face and touching it as he thought to himself, before looking at her once again. "There's also the fact of how little information is being transmitted by your form. That's... Interesting." He spoke simply, beginning to slowly smile on his face, though his eyes were still rather jumpy in his skull. The Doctor had found a new subject, and not just any subject. It was a subject that was trying its bet to keep him away from it He could feel it already. He could feel that thi encounter would teach him much. It would teach him things that he did not already know. He would learn. He would experiment He would treat, he would gather, he would collect. After all, the collecting of samples and information was the exact paragon of his profession... After all, he was The Doctor.. |

For Science?
It was from the decleration of the aberrant man that a personality was painted upon the portrait of the blue-haired woman. An utterly ridiculous assertion that caused her previously emotionless face to lighten and animate. First a small smile in the middle of his response as it seemed it was beginning to seem a bit silly, and then it quickly evolved into a small fit of giggling that she tried to cover up with one of her hands while the other hugged itself around her chest. The sound was quiet but palpably evident for anyone with the weakest ability of observation. It was not really meant to be hidden—her laughter at the fantastically hilarious declaration—and either the man would notice as was her intent, or his borderline insanity would render him oblivious to it much to her continued amusement. The reality of the situation was that he proposed his hypothesis as absolute without a controlled environment. At best, assuming he studied other such massacres and found something more to learn after the fact, the latter part of his hypothesis would be nothing more than a coincidence with a high chance... not an absolute.
But such thought was reserved for subjects Nozomi took seriously, and what was easily judged by her chuckle was that she found nothing more than a modest bit of entertainment in his words. There was no worth in putting contemplation into a mad man's experiment when it so obviously... mad. Still, she finished her little fit but did not allow the sly smile to leave her face as she continued to listen to his ramblings. After all, his speech only continued to give her reasons to pick fun at him each second it meandered on, though she revealed it neither visually nor verbally—she just maintained her smile. Even his comment about the neutrality in which she began the conversation was priceless, overthought, uneccesary. This was what separated Nozomi from him, and from every other self-pronounced genius of thought; they scrutinized over every iota and every facet of a situation in the pursuit of significance, while Nozomi found. If he was going to play mister intelligent with her, than she was just going to have a blast making him run around in circles.
Meanwhile, it would appear the man was currently neglectful of the dark energy that was emenating from her. Not just by his words, which she could tell she would learn very little from, but by the telltale signals of the slightly-human body he possessed. Whatever creature he had been transformed into, he still had a brain, a skeletal structure, a nervous system, flesh and blood. He did not look around as the Onikagahi infected the buildings or began to creep up to his feet. There was no surge of activity in the neurons that suggested fear, surprise, discontect... not a single reaction even as the wisps of energy began to prod at his clothing. Either he was incapable of sensing energy, or he was simply so zoned in on Nozomi herself that he was unwitting of his surroundings. The woman did not respond right away, simply watching and waiting for that moment when he noticed, realized what he was going to be treading knee-deep in, soon to be swimming through.
"Oh? How can I help then, mister scientist?" she asked, putting her finger up to her lips like a small, innocent child would, finally dispersing the smile in favor of a small 'Oh' shape, as if clueless.

"I can see... how false it is... The Fallacy... Unpredictable..." He breathed out, looking at her still. However, as he did so, his hands reached deeper into his pockets, the smoke from his cigarette continuing to rise up into the sky, even as he looked up at her with only one eye. "A violent shift..." He muttered to himself, looking up at the sky. What am I doing? My mind is a haze... What... He wondered to himself, looking at her firmly. It was not caused by anything she had done; merely the Doctor's own consciousness and subconsciousness becoming blurred as it could occasionally happen to him. "I suppose you'll make me have to discover what that is for myself, won't you?" He asked the woman, and it became clear that the Doctor had done something. Without warning, the bits and pieces all around him began to move, began to flow together, as corpses began to stand up, very slowly, as if they were puppets on strings, and began to fumble towards Nozomi, every one of them standing within the field of darkness. "I wasn't planning on forcing conflict with you, but that field feels most imposing, so it seems you did not have a similar plan." He said simply, as he watched the bodies. His right hand, meanwhile, began to raise up into into the sky, as he opened his fingers wide, not making any movements towards the woman who was now smiling at him as his fingers became infused with a strange dark red energy, so intense that it began to form arcs of electricity around his hand, which he then put forwards, feeling as his hand collided into the ground, and without warning it shot through the ground around the male, stopping a few feet short of the female. "What did I learn?" He asked her, standing up straight once more. "I learned that whatever that darkness is, it affects the beings of things. Unsure of whether it is hostile or not; that fact remains to be seen." His mouth spoke, as it became clear that their was a strange field around the Doctor now, the area around him having become charged with his special property: Spirit Shock, which attacked the very power source and beings of things. This meant that while it did not affect the bodies of everything around him and whatever it touched, it inflicted damage to their very being, wiping the being of the area around him clean of all intrusions, absolving it of everything that it was. "It interacts with the beings of things... then my reanimates are already..." He looked over at the reanimations that he had created, the moving corpses. It seems to be rather passive... He deduced, as he had noticed no changes around him where the darkness was. In that case... either it's a delayed release... or it's more in-depth than the surface. I could still feel my power in them... He thought to himself, as the charge in the air around him died away at last. However, the charge in the ground remained, meaning that even if everything around the Doctor should become black, that small area of ground would remain clear. "Such a high amount of targeting at this value..." He muttered further, before looking her right in the eyes. "...This... I have... a great amount to learn from... a very, very great amount..." He finished muttering, pulling his sleeves up, small arcs of the dark red lightning moving, though he still made no move forwards. He would prefer not to have to conflict with her if it could be avoided; but it seemed that she had already become resigned to that fact. "How shall we be taught, Lady Two Face?' |

For Science?
For every tell the the serpentine schizophrenic seemed to determine from the image before him, several more indicators were there to suggest otherwise. He accused her of falsehood; she responded with straying eyes, looking away to the overcast skies that seemed to now move along without the single weakest gust of wind to carry it along. Her body twisted back and forth to an imaginary song, twirling her skirt and swinging her arms around her waist as it torqued. It was a trifling dance used to display disinterest, even as corpses seemed to rise from their graves. It took approximately three in a half seconds for the woman to appear to notice the awakening of the dead bodies that were now shambling over to her at a non-threatening speed. Nozomi thought briefly, Why? In a book of the least efficient techniques one could possibly utilize, attempting to manipulate inert flesh for the the desperate cause of wounding anyone superior to a powerless human being... would fit right in. Her crimson hues fell upon the lifeless face of the closest one—white tone, blue eyes, black hair, average features, male—and then mimed a face of distress as she had to stop her cute little dance.
After an exaggerated gasp, she breathed out, "Oh no!" and proceeded to take in a healthier breath before continuing. "Little forest friends! Little forest friends! Come save me!" she called out to nothing and nobody in particular, so it seemed. Still nothing happened, so Nozomi simply decided to let out a painfully annoying squeal as one body got closer and closer. Because the zombie was so damn slow, the screeching banshee just continued to fill the atmosphere with noise. It went on, not seeming to need oxygen to continue despite fumbling over it earlier. The air around the snake man's ears vibrated with pure distilled irritation, rising in volume as fast coming to a climax. Step after step the agonizingly slow puppet came dangerously close, and Nozomi simply couldn't do anything but stand in place and wail. At one point, something had to happen, and something did in perhaps the most unexpected fashion possible. Almost as though charging out of a fairy tale book, a short brown-furred bear no shorter than either of them while on his four legs came charging through the streets from the side, roaring a war cry of such beautiful bravery. The zombie would soon be impacted with the power of a speeding car, enough to shatter what bones were left inside it and tear the body in two halves by sheer merit of raw force. Simultaneously, the scene burst into chaos as assistance arrived from all sides of the city.
A powerful howl sounded; a pack of wolves followed and raced down the streets with frightening speed, coming across a small concentration of walking dead and quickly pouncing. Limbs were bitten off in blurs of motion, tossed aside like useless rags to disable their movement. The wolves would continue by feasting on the limbless bodies that remained to make sure things were over. Another few undead found themselves in the middle of a murder of crows, being picked at by hundreds of these dark birds, as if being eroded by forces of nature. They were being deformed, defaced, made unrecognizable as the numbers alone caused them to fall over and be finished off. Others were left to deal with deer who had the power to kick the heads of the zombies straight off their neck in one go, or squirrels enough to cover an entire body and bite at. Some of the lucky ones would even get the pleasure of being mauled to death by the fashionably late flock of sheep. There were many words that could be used to describe this scene, but none of them quite enough to do it justice. Nozomi thankfully stopped screaming, appearing to be happy now as her forest friends saved the day. To top it all off, a pair of bluebirds came flying in holding a crown of flowers and leaves, carefully placing it upon the blue-haired woman's head before perching on either of her shoulders. Like a pleased adolescent she clapped her hands and cheered, making today perhaps the strangest day mister snake has ever had in his life.

...Note to self… next time, zombify nearby animals as well… The Doctor thought simply to himself as smoke form his cigarette lit up, still standing in the area where his discharge had dispelled the material. He watched very closely as he heard her speak, watching her very closely. The Doctor decided to record her scream within a part of his mind, saving the file away for later access, deciding that it would be a most interesting trifle to perhaps enjoy and study later for possible hidden tones or messages. Or just because it would be funny later to listen to her scream. Over and over. And over. And over again. The Doctor could be strange sometimes, he knew that. However, he was not quite expecting a bear to tumble out of the woods. "...Also note to self, this is a lot of carrion…" He muttered quietly, his eyes looking around as all kinds of animals began to act and perform painful actions to the many different minions that he had taken care to summon, something which made him slightly twitch his nose. However, as the pair of bluebirds came flying down holding a crown of flowers and leaves, the Doctor's mouth began to move. However, what came out of it was a bark, a growl, a tweet, and a hiss. The Doctor merely looked on, his gaze at the floor. "...It seems the mental capacity of this subject is far beyond expectations. To make animals create something as intricate as that…" He muttered to himself, before looking up to her in the eyes. "Though, I must say you are quite racist." He told her, looking her straight in the eyes as he leaned back, sitting down as a group of seven snakes rose out of the ground to meet his behind, the bolt on his head growing smaller as it shrank into his skull, blood red stains appearing all over his white cloak until it steadily became more and more red until he had a completely red cloak, sitting there with a cowl behind his head, his disturbed scaly features much more revealed than before. "To think there were all these snakes who wanted to be a part of your torture entrouge, Princess, and you would not have them… " He informed her, patting the head of one of the snakes as the scythe in his hands vanished, as a bulge appeared on his stomach for a moment, before a strange white snake slid out from his cloak, blinking at Nozomi as it appeared from his body. "I'm afraid you're not the only one who has forest friends, though…" He whispered silently, as suddenly from his body on his throne of snakes, out of every one of his pores, snakes began to come out of him. Big snakes, little snakes, all sizes of snakes, which rapidly shot out of the Doctor, with only ne purpose in their lives: to bite the animals and deliver the venoms of the Doctor, which had no effect on snakes themselves ,but would prove deadly to any other animals who came into contact with their fangs. The venom was corrosive, meaning that mere un-spiritually aided flesh would be utterly consumed by it in a matter of seconds, devastating the woodland friends as the Snakes themselves would dissolve after their target was shot at, the poison consuming them as well. "..It has been far too long sine I enjoyed myself like this. Thank you, Princess." He said simply, not a single one of the snakes going for Nozomi herself, only the minions that she had summoned. "I do wander though, your defining element.. Ah. That's correct. There seems to be little gained from speaking to you at the moment. However, reactions can be gained through actions." He told her simply, smiling at her without teeth, an honest smile, even though he obviously had intents behind it. "Your poor woodland friends… To protect their princess they seem to all be sacrificing their lives." He chuckled to himself, looking at them. "kind of sad, actually. At least my snakes know good and well that they're going to die. You just send them in without mercy, manipulating them with no choice in their futures, open to the slaughter~" He said, as the white snake began to wriggle back and forth rapidly, showing that the Doctor was… excited. "However, to keep the game going…" He said simply, as without warning the ground began to shift, and five black cloaks appeared. "Snakes shed skin…" He muttered to himself as the five bodies appeared, each one of them looking EXACTLY like the Doctor himself, the only visible portions of them being their face. The only thing they were missing was the red cloak, which in their case was just a black cloak. The five looked at Nozomi, and each began to take steps towards her. There were two in front, two that were on her sides that were approaching her, and one that was hanging towards the back in front of the Doctor. The two in front were almost upon her, and each threw out a hand as they gripped a scalpel in unison. Each was planning on going for a cut at her arm as suddenly they both sped up, and began to move straight forwards for a clean slice… if they could be allowed. |

(Before you get into this post, I just really wanna apologize for putting this off for so goddamn long. You deserve this epic post ^^)
Nozomi's mouth was wide open, showing not just the teeth but the tongue as well as her watch shifted left to right to left again, rinse and repeat as there were always new spectacles to witness when her eyes fell upon them—eyes which, of course, were wide open as well. Her crimson hues contained a shimmer of excitement, while her expression was nothing less than ecstatic. Every time another zombie was laid to rest in a most cinematic of methods, her mouth would broaden even more as she took in a gasp of air; beautiful sights abound. Though, this act would have to end soon to move onto the next chapter, because within the minute there was not a corpse left with a joint to bend, and no matter how 'living' you could make these piles of rotten flesh they would not be able to move. This result came in at only the cost of a few casualties within the smaller critters of Nozomi's army, and that was completely fine with her. Containing her imitant bliss, her mouth managed to close (wow, amazing) into a crooked smile. She took a pose and jabbed her forefinger through the air at the snake man, as if calling an objection! Then, in her prettiest voice, she called out over the stale and wretched air; "Off with his head!"
Hundreds of lifeless eyes turned his way. At that moment there was a small disjoint in the entire play, as though the spirits of these animals were crying through the glazed sheen of their emotionless pupils; lamenting. On some of these creatures it was obvious that they had sustained injuries, some light and some heavy. Blood was being emptied from a couple of the wounds and painting the ground. Tormented... but their bodies continued against their own will. The interruption was short, however, as mister snake was suddenly the focal point of a menacing charge. With the Grizzly bear at the head, the army was now rampaging over the fallen zombies toward their pray, forcing his hand for the time being. In response, he played his counter and brought out his entourage of slimy, slithery snakes. A cringe-worthy choice, but Nozomi was more concerned with his accusation of her being racist. She brought out a fucking bear. Was he not entertained?!
As he started up some small talk, Nozomi watched as the two armies clashed, and her woodland champions would have rampaged over their opponents easily had it not been for the under-handed dirty trick the snakes used. She already had the liquid broken down in her mind as she analyzed it with her special eyes. The venom of these snakes was substituted with what was presumably the Doctor's own specialized variant, designed to eradicate living tissue like butter. One bite landing spelled a death sentence for whatever was caught by it, and her bear would be the first customer in this case. She knew their fate before the first bite was made, but she did not give out the mental command to stop or retreat. She let them charge onward and was content to just watch the devastating aftermath. Her animals were falling limp and decaying shortly after being bitten, while the fragile snakes were being crushed soon after by the masses that fell on them, or by the next wave if they survived that long. Hundreds of lifeless eyes, all homing in on the doctor as their bodies melted away. As the battle began to come to an end, it would happen that the snakes could not keep up with the thoughtless charge completely, forcing the snake man to take several steps back if he didn't want to get rammed by the last wave of deer. The action was relatively easy to make, and these deer would end up falling victim to the venom soon after, but he would still be forced to respond to it—and that meant something.
Alas, the charge ended in the hissing of the remaining snake retinue, and a pouting blue-haired woman crossing her arms childishly. She closed her eyes, clenching them tight, hearing the Snake man's condescending words but honestly not being moved by them. She kept her eyes shut even as he finished blabbering, and performed his pseudo-replication technique. The dark clones were moving toward her while she made no indication that she even realized it. Was she thinking? Concentrating? A furrow appeared in her brow, and she finally spoke as the clones had crossed a little over half the distance to her. "You think you got it all figured out, huh?" she inquired rhetorically, in possibly the brattiest voice that ever was heard. "Well I got some news for you, mister snake. You've underestimated me and the element of surprise. Witness! Attack, Agent Double-Oh-Seven!!!" She finally opened her eyes and took another epic pose with her hand held to the sky and her legs spread out in a stance. That's when the attack occurred, as the snake closest to him suddenly would strike at his shoulder with swiftness and ferocity.
His Spirit Shock suddenly seemed a little less infallible. A thin strand of Nozomi's dark energy had managed to sneak through from behind and attach itself to the now-double-agent snake that had attacked its previous master. It somehow got through his dominion previosly thought safe, though It was hard to tell exactly how it had happened. A careful and close inspection could determine that the Onikagahi was seeming to eat away at the opposing energy. This wasn't apparent before; the act was much too infinitesimal. But now that the corrupt Onikagahi had gotten a taste, the process moved at a faster pace, now able to be seen with intense scrutiny. Still, Nozomi doubted he would have the leisure for that, given his shoulder would begin to disappear if the traitor snake was able to sink its fangs into him. For some reason the man did not have the antidote to his own poison already seeping through his blood, and this fact caused Nozomi to suddenly burst out laughing. Forest princess charade now discarded, she stumbled out of her ridiculous pose with her arms wrapped around her sides, giggling hysterically. "I didn't even think that would work!" she explained quickly, lying through her teeth with ease. Even with this pretense dispensed of, still it seemed as though she were still playing around. She had many more layers of falsity left.
Only then did it appear that Nozomi had finally noticed the doppelgangers upon her, as the first two made their attack in the most obvious of fashions. She merely blinked and it happened: A low bass boom echoed throughout the entire area, dust from the ground was blasted outward from Nozomi in a thick cloud, and the streets cracked with the force of the sudden pressure. The four closing in on her were smashed at the front with raw kinetic energy, if not breaking their face then surely flinging them several hundred meters away from the woman through the nearby buildings in synchronous cadence. One of the scalpels used to assault her nearly embedded itself in the real mister snake's head, drawing a bead of blood as its tip barely graced his cheek and flew on past. It had to be wondered whether or not that was intentional, but there were more significant occurrences to be observed at the moment. As the clouds of debris subsided, Nozomi could be seen in a positive mood with her crooked smile. Her arms were at her side and she was repeatedly pushing herself up and back down with her feat; she'd rise onto her tip-toes and quickly fall back down to her heels, over and over, gleefully. And all the while her skin was transmuting into a different substance entirely, which was muddy brown and coarse. It was like an infection cruising over her skin, up her neck and over her face to corrupt it. When it reached her eyes they turned black, pitch black like the glimpse before. Even more grossly were the ivory horns that grew from her scalp, encircling her head like a crown of bone. The transformation would come to an end, and she would speak, and it would come out low, distorted and split like multiple people talking at once:
"I think I know what kind of game you want to play, mister~."
For Science?
"Off with my head…?" He asked her simply, watching her with the utmost interest. Her mouth had been left open for so long; it was amazing something hadn't flown inside it. Or had it? While the Doctor had most certainly thought of performing an oral assault, he decided it would be more interesting to watch the outcome of her army. As the eyes began to look towards him, he looked right back at them, even as he began to think to himself. ...I'll need to get ready… It's unlikely that this field with last for much longer… Spirit Shock isn't a permanent change. He thought to himself as he reached a hand back, feeling as Hebi, the white snake, slid up his back, having completely stuck out of his stomach now as it opened its mouth, allowing for the Doctor to grip onto the thing that came out of its mouth. First was a blade, which he drew out smoothly, very thin in stature, built like a katana. Following this, he reached his left hand back, gripping not one, but two scrolls that appeared out of the snake's mouth. It's a shame we're so close to civilization… He reflected, knowing that he didn't draw a third scroll because the size of the creature it summoned was far too large. This whole 'army' premise was nice; it allowed the Doctor ample time to think of all the possibilities with what he knew of her ability so far, but also her mental state. "Not that she seems to care too much about it… I wonder… Ah." He suddenly stopped, as his eyes opened wide at her, watching the final wave of deer approaching him. "Shikai." He stated simply with a smile, as suddenly, the blade around his arm began to change as without warning it shot out, smashing into one of the deer as the Doctor spun the blade in his hand, leaping into the air as the blade deftly spun around, slicing up even his throne of snakes, but also bisecting each of the deer, as at last he pointed it downwards, sitting on top of it at the edge of his Spirit Shock barrier, looking down at her. 'This isn't quite right… is it…?" He asked of her, rather simply. The Doctor's thoughts were that for a snake to look down on someone else was going against just about all the laws of nature… which explained a lot about the Doctor himself. "Not quite…" He told her in reply, as that smile reappeared on his face. It wasn't like his other ones; it was an honest smile, as honest a smile as the Doctor could give. "I still don't know what you're actually like… Which is what is currently igniting my curiosity!" He told her frankly, even as without warning he felt that one of the snakes changed direction in the middle of his statement. It bit into his left arm, sharply, even as suddenly a massive amount of energy appeared around the connection from his shoulder to his torso, as the arm was blasted off of his body, landing on the ground between himself and Nozomi. "Mun…" He stated simply, almost boredly, as a Selve came out of the ground, rising up to the air behind him. This selve, however, was unlike the others. Its scelera were stone black, and its skin… was peeling off of it passively. "You don't bother with your own defense…" He said, his voice very soft, his mouth not even moving. "Why would I bother to? It's not like I care what happens to this body…" The Doctor said in reply, totally carefree as he leaped off of his pedestal, landing on the ground. "The Spirit Shock has been compromised…" He muttered, listening to her exclamations. Not that they helped in what was going on much, but they did pique his interest. She doesn't reply if I answer those false exclamations… As his Selves approached her, he had known they were all doomed as they were blown away, blinking as a scalpel went past his face, drawing blood. Chaos Warp. He thought simply to himself, as suddenly… time stopped. It simply stopped, everything stopped exactly where it was. Nothing could move in this space; this wasn't from everything actually freezing, but from the Doctor's body entering into the state of Chaos Warp, a state of such intense speed that it froze the time around the user. He grabbed onto the scalpel, holding it lovingly, before a purple flame roared all around it, consuming the scalpel and completely eradicating it. ...It is… a horrid energy. But an energy all the same. He thought to himself, turning around to face her once more as time resumed, knowing that the time he had was as good as up. "How pretty…" He said simply, looking at her changed state. "I suppose then, this is the only option." He stated simply, as suddenly he looked down at his remaining arm, biting it. "I guess playtime is over… or just getting started…?" He mused to himself, as suddenly the red cloak around his body fell away, revealing his bare torso. Initiate: Dragon Doctor. He thought to himself, as suddenly his body began to change. Without warning, horns shot out of the top of his head, the teeth in his mouth becoming more fang-like. As he did so, he felt as the energy all around him, he could feel the reishi… or lack thereof. '...Quin...cy…?" He asked simply, looking at the figure in front of him as blood spurted from the hole where his arm had been, revealing a new one that was fully formed. "Well then…" He muttered, as around his body, his energy began to take shape. Purple disks, thirteen of them, hollow in the middle but alive with a red border and made up of purple energy, began rapidly spinning around his body. Suddenly, the disks vanished, as the Doctor activated their special ability of being able to go through Chaos Warp. "For a horrid energy… reply with a horrid energy." He stated simply, as the Selve next to him nodded, leaping out in front of him, its body suddenly and violently decomposing as Mun's presence left it. The Doctor had yet to see the energy try to assault his Selves or the zombies he had sent out, but having burned completely through its properties, he knew that it was quite dangerous all the same. The Doctor took a single step outside of his spirit shock, and suddenly it became clear what was happening. Destruction was happening. A very thin layer of destruction, but destruction none the less. The elements of Earth, Fire, and Wind were rampaging through his body, or more specifically, one inch outside of the radius of his body. The energy was reduced to nothing but dust, the corruption completely wiped away in front of the Dust Element. There was nothing to understand about this energy; it merely destroyed instantly, without remorse or recompense. As such, the Doctor was leaving behind pure Reishi in his wake, and as this form could take in reishi to maintain itself, he picked it up as he walked, helping him to maintain the border around himself. "I must ask… Is it worth it?" He asked of her rather suddenly, as without warning a massive pile of air, condensed into nothing but a spear, descended down on top of her body. The spear, some three feet in diameter, had come from far above, where the energy had not spread, using the Doctor's manipulation of Wind into a weapon, before dropping it promptly on top of her. "To have such perfect defense… Giving up even your own mind?" He continued of her, as suddenly his body reappeared in front of her, having Chaos Warped, as the two were face to face at last, his eyes wide open as he brought the Dust-Covered blade downwards on her body, slamming it into her right side. She'd find it rather surprising the raw amount of force behind the blade, so much so that the ground beneath her would be completely blown away simply from the force of the attack. "Do you feel the lack of satisfaction that I do?" He asked of her, even as Hebi whipped around, opening its mouth wide as a burst of Dust Energy shot out, smashing directly into her body and likely ripping away at her body if she didn't dodge, creating quite a few problems for her. "When manipulation fails to work? When the thing that causes joy doesn't get appreciated by anyone, even by ourselves?" He continued to demand of her, seriously, as he suddenly went very low, his hand pressing onto the ground as suddenly the rock beneath her body opened its mouth. Yes, that's correct; the earth had been touched through the Dust Element by the Doctor, as his Life to the Unliving took effect, the mouth of the road opening wide as it consumed her utterly, his body vanishing as he performed another Chaos Warp, placing his hand onto the building across from them, as it suddenly leapt forwards, slamming down on top of the rock and seeking to smash the contents within it, which it allowed for the building to do so as the Doctor merely watched, looking at her. "But most of all… Such a fearsome amount of energy that you give off… This explains how you can maintain it… But what happens if your source to maintain it goes out…? Will you answer my questions yet… Or continue to deny me…?" He concluded, looking at her as he felt Mun within his body relaxing. You've never used it like this before. You're breaking the five percent barrier… Does this interest you that much? Mun asked of the Doctor seriously, who could only smile. Yes Mun… That much and much more.. He muttered slowly in reply within his own mind, knowing that he had finally had a reason to actually try for once, something that had never occurred for him in the three thousand years that he had been alive… |
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it or who has said it, not even if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

For Science?
Nozomi's demonic form, a subsidiary transformation that was despicable in nature, a malfeasance of power. Only someone like her who had exploited the dark energies as long as she had could produce a form such as this. There was a lightening of Onikagahi in the air, and albeit it still lingered like an intractable stench, its influence over the elements of the atmosphere was most definitely lessened. This did not mean her Onikagahi was weakening... oh no. Rather, its flow began to reverse from constantly being discharged from the young woman to now seeping back into her petite form. This energy, of which only a sliver of its potential had been shown previously, was now being concentrated into such a compact space, leaving its new capabilities only to the imagination now. It was the culprit of Nozomi's gross metamorphosis, making once smooth and beautiful skin into this flaky and rough brown exterior. There was a certain elegance to her face if one looked deeply, focused around the soulless voids of her eyes. But even they lost some of their tranquility as an oily liquid began to tear out of them and down her cheeks, painting a path down to her jaw. It did not appear to drip off of her face, nor did it paint her face too thickly. It was a haunting visage Nozomi was creating, yet the excited expression she had on her face broke that illusion. Bouncing on the balls of her feet and smirking like a goofball did not sell the demonic appearance well.
The Doctor asked to himself as he disposed of his arm, "I guess playtime is over... or just getting started?" Nozomi took that question in, already having an answer for it but not quite announcing it. Rather, she watched in silence, her outward appearing mood unchanging. He too had a satanic form of his own, discarding his maroon cloak onto the ground to reveal his scaly skin to be more defined, his own kingly crown of horns to have sprouted from his head, the near-instant reconstruction of his severed arm, and a snake revealed to be protruding from his stomach. Most importantly though was the turbulent field of elements now encircling his evolved body, its effects obvious through the advanced eyes of the Omnidou. Nozomi was already compiling information within her mind at a thousand miles per hour, analyzing and studying this new power with comprehensive intensity; the same method that had been going on throughout this entire fight. Every new card the snake doctor played was another chapter of information within the young woman's mind, allowing to foresee danger in the immediate—perhaps distant—future. Was it a motive behind Nozomi's true nature? Perhaps, or simply another layer of fallacy concealing it.
Mister snake went for the first strike in this second phase of power, summoning a torrent of wind above her head in the form of a spear. It was indirect, subtle, distant, but discovered by the young woman irregardless. She had already detected the transfer of energy into the area and the distortion of the natural current that bent the element to his bidding. It would be sent on a most obvious course toward the point of her head, but for the time being she would pretend like she had no clue of its intent. Like a missile it would plunge down with great force... then very unlike a missile would crash headlong against the woman and fizzle back out into its natural state, not even causing her to flinch. Immediately after her opponent was right up in her face, close enough to reach out and touch, yet still it elicited no expected reaction from the blue-haired demon girl. She looked him in the eyes, peering straight through him with her ebony hues. He swung his sword down, but her lips parted. "Miss," she whispered, and the miracle occurred. His sword would fly straight down and slice the asphalt they stood upon, not even breathing past Nozomi despite her lack of evasiveness. The excessive force behind his word would absolutely wreck the semblance of the street beneath their feet, but the debris only ricocheted off of her harmlessly.
The snake that was fused with him continued the assault, opening its mouth to release its devastating elemental energy. Through the veil of the dust her eyes focused on his intently, still transmitting the authoritative force to her attacker. "Chew and swallow," she said, and it forced the snake to chomp his teeth down and close his mouth. With a smile, Nozomi watched as her hypnotic command caused him to gulp all the energy down his throat and into his stomach, amusing herself. She quickly returned her attention to the Doctor, commanding him. "And you shut up." It was only a subtle suggestion, and yet it did not seem that his chaotic mind was stable enough to combat the organized force of her mental attack. As a result, he would not be able to speak what was on his mind with his mouth shut tight, cutting him off in the middle of his spiel. Only then did Nozomi answer that intriguing question from earlier, a glint in her look as she did. "What ever gave you impression that the game would end so swiftly? So... anticlimactically? No, the game doesn't end until you no longer have any cards in your deck, so says me." And with that her arms rose, reaching out to either side of her. It wouldn't take long for the snake to determine the effects, as space around the city was warping erratically, looping back into itself. A dome of darkness formed around the wayward town, encompassing it and separating it from civilization. It was a Garganta, a massive Garganta that created its own little pocket in the massive void-like world between worlds. It was not a solid wall that prevented one from leaving, but instead an infinite emptiness in every direction. They were on an island in the middle of no where.
He saw him trying something again, bending low to the ground and placing his palm against it, breaking the eye contact that had previously held him captive. Furrowing her brow, Nozomi dropped her uplifted arms in frustration, or was it really? Bent low in front of her, she let her foot shoot out towards his face at breakneck speeds, not even hesitant against the dust field enveloping him. If it landed it would produce another unexpected result in the eye of the Doctor, perhaps shocking him. Rather than eradicate the invasive foot as it should, it would scrape off some of the fabric from the tip of the shoe, before the force of the kick settled in and smashed his face. There was a moment, a very minuscule instance in which the chaotic Dust field was distorted at the point of contact, allowing a small opening in that window of time, but it would be hard to notice. After all, if he was struck by the force of the kick he would most surely be sent spiraling through the air into one of the buildings behind him, departing with a broken face. After the result, Nozomi's frustration would melt away and be replaced with a softer expression again. "I'm sorry, we started this round off on the wrong foot. Let's try again, shall we? Just keep playing, mister snake." It was supposed to be innocent, childish, but the demonic voice that came out of her mouth just dispersed that delusion entirely.
